Release Tour ~ The Broadway Series ~ by ~ Allie York

The Broadway Series is relaunching with new titles and gorgeous new covers! Allie York brings you five steamy, suspenseful romance reads with everything from single parents and secret admirers, to surprise babies and more – all in one heartwarming series.

Jovie

Between running a successful business and attempting to pen a best-selling novel, I don’t have the time or energy for the kind or romance I love to write about. So, I let it fall to the wayside. The thing is, life has a funny way of delivering what you need when you least expect it. And trust me, I was not expecting a poodle to be the one delivering a sexy Brit into my world.

Ewan

A tragic accident left me with time for only one woman in my life – my little sister, Amelia. Raising a teenager is enough work without adding in the hassle that comes with relationships. But when my disobedient dog, Clark, crashes into a sexy dog trainer and practically bows at her feet, the attraction is immediate. The chemistry between us is hard to fight and Jovie fits comfortably in my life with Amelia. It’s all or nothing when someone else decides they want to change the game. Someone deadly, who has their sights set on what’s mine.

Harriet

In less than a week, I’ve found myself homeless and alone. What else is a girl to do when life keeps kicking me down? The only thing I know how. Start over. With a couple of bags and a scrap of paper, I put myself on a bus and set off across the country to the one friend I know I can turn to. I had no intention of falling in love. Then I found a notebook.

Briggs

I’ve always been the underdog. Coming into this world four minutes behind my twin brother Beck has never bothered me. Being burned, both literally and figuratively by Beck is a different story though. With a failed engagement, a sick mother and a party-boy brother, most of my life is a blur. Until I see her. But lots of words and a dark cloud from her past threaten to tear it all apart. Will she be able to see past the secrets to find who truly admirers her?

Cori Single mom, fearless, perpetually loveless. With an ex-husband in prison and a feisty daughter to raise on my own, there was no time for anything else. Sure, I may have needed a lot of things, but a man was not one of them. In fact, a man was the reason for every bit of misery in my life. But, when a new girl joins my daughter Axel’s ballet class, with the company of her tall, tatted, sexy and very single dad, my ideas about men start to shift. Getting to know Griffin and his daughter, Celia, makes it harder to ignore not trying my hand at love again. If only my head and my heart can see that we are worth it. Griffin Single dad, inked, badass. Believe me when I tell you, no one was more surprised than me to find out that I had a kid – a daughter. Five years old when some social worker dropped her in my lap. My life was literally flipped upside down. Instead of late nights with loose women, I found myself home in time for bedtime stories and a house filled with more pink stuff than I could ever imagine. With my priorities now firmly shifted from fun to family, falling for Cori is easy. Especially when her own daughter, Axel, breaks through Celia’s hard shell. Now if I could just convince Griffin that one family together is better than two apart. I’ve got my work cut out for me since we’re all a little tattered & bruised.

Meredith

Okay, maybe running away from my family and moving cross country with my boyfriend was a bad idea. A really bad idea. For two years I let a man dull my shine and to leave me beaten and broken until I couldn’t take any more. With a new life growing inside me, I know it’s time for me to go back home, even if my family never forgives me for the hurt I have caused. The last thing I’m looking for is for someone to save, especially when I’m trying to save myself. But something about Beck pulls me in.

Beck

I’m a horrible person. I know it and so does everyone else. Everyday it gets harder to dull the pain and forget the past. After waking up in a seedy hotel with a woman I don’t even recognize, I’m sure my life isn’t even worth it any more. I’m just about to end it all when my salvation stumbles into my lap. Meredith has every reason to push me away. But, I’m determined to prove to her (and myself) that I am the better man.

Excerpt from Chance, book one in The Broadway Series Copyright 2022 Allie York

We hadn’t even made it to the mailbox before the leash was pulled from my hand and the hard plastic was bouncing behind him as he bolted down the street. I growled a series of curses worthy of making a sailor blush and took off in a run after him, screaming his name. Once I caught him, his slow painful death was inevitable. I would kill him and relish every second of it. I lost sight of him as I rounded a corner and skidded to a halt, nearly tripping over a crack in the sidewalk. I spotted him as he ran full-force into someone walking their dog and panicked. It wouldn’t be the first person my idiot dog leveled on a walk. I took off as fast as I could, yelling at him, only to find the woman holding his leash with a very pissed off expression. I let her place the leash in my hand, doubling over to catch my breath and being assaulted by my own stupid animal. Her sheepdog stood still by her side in statuesque annoyance. I apologized, asking if he had knocked her over, to which she responded with a curt, “No.” The woman held out a card. Fantastic. My horrid beast had run into a dog trainer. A very lovely dog trainer.

“Is Nate giving you issues?” Kat just can’t let me be. At the sound of his name my heart skips a beat. This is stupid. I don’t like him. I don’t want him, and most importantly, he doesn’t want me. He’s lonely and a guy and that’s why he kissed me. That’s it. It’s nothing more. “Nate?” I play stupid. She arches a brow and I give up, “No. Nate’s the best. I just have a little crush and he helped me out this morning. I read signals wrong. It’s fine. Everything’s fine.” “A crush?” The deep baritone voice behind me makes my spine straighten and my breathing stops. I turn to find a smirking Nate, hazel eyes glinting, and a wolfish grin on his face. Kat giggles and I glare at her. “Yeah. I had a little crush. It’s no big deal. Did you need something?” I cross my arms, staring him down. “I just came for a water bottle.” He points at the mini fridge we keep waters in. I stoop to grab him a water and by the time I turn back around, he’s gone. Kat points at the door and I throw my head back, groaning. I grab a second water and leave the bar to go deliver it to the complicated man outside. I get a whistle as I pass and turn to wink at the cat caller. Some women hate that shit, and if I was walking down the street, the guy would have gotten the middle finger and a piece of my mind. At work, I eat it up. I get better tips, and what girl doesn’t want to feel sexy? I open the door and a group passes by me. I step out and offer the waters, don’t make eye contact, and start to go back in. A huge hand wraps around my arm and I stop. “What?” I snap. “A little crush?” His breath hits my ear and a shiver runs down my spine. How does he do this to me? “Is that what it is?” “Yeah. Let me go.” I don’t make an effort to get away. “Look at me.” His tone leaves no room for argument, so I look at him. “I’m not sure what I did to piss you off, but I’m sorry. If you wanna talk it out, let me take you home tonight.” He releases my arm “I’ll think about it.” I grab the handle, pull the door, and go back in to work, trying to let go of whatever weirdness it is I have going on. It’s like one second, I want him so bad I can’t breathe, and the next, I wanna murder him. My rational brain knows it’s me keeping him at a distance so he can’t hurt me in the long run, but it makes me feel crazy. Like I have emotional whiplash.

“It smells clean.” Kat has the front of her dress wadded in her hands to keep her from tripping. “Good. It is clean.” I point to the doors, “Guest room, my room, bathroom. In my room, raid the drawers for clothes and get out of that ridiculous dress.” I smirk. “It was ten thousand dollars.” She lifts the poofy fabric and studies it. “And it took me all of a few minutes and two beers to ruin it.” My lips graze her ear and she shivers. “I can’t get out of it.” Kat meets my eyes and issues a silent challenge. “Are you asking me to treat it like I did your panties? The man who should be doing this is a damn fool and I’ll gladly take his place.” In one move, I have my hand on her bare upper back and her body against mine. She gasps and I grin. My fingers find the hook and zipper in the back, and I make quick work of them. She grabs the top of the dress to hold it up and doesn’t break eye contact. “Take his place? You want to plan a wedding with me for years then get my sister pregnant?” She rolls her eyes. “No.” The word comes out sharp, “But I’ll gladly get you out of this dress and take care of what he should have been doing tonight.” I start toward the door to leave her to get situated. “I think you already took care of that.” She calls, walking to my room, dress held up by nothing more than an arm across her chest. “You ain’t seen the half of it.” I yell back, stepping out the door and locking it behind me. I jog down the steps and back through the stock room to the bar. The crowd’s thinned out, but I feel like a dick for bailing.

“Hey, sweetheart?” God his voice is sexy; like every romance hero I’ve ever read about in one human. He kind of looks like one too. “Eden?” “Not your sweetheart,” I mumble, rolling over to face him. “Yeah, I know.” Does he sound disappointed? Or am I really tired? “Our five-hour trip just got extended until this wreck clears up.” I roll back over. “Okay.” Then I realize that I was face to face with him which means he’s not driving. He has this crooked half-smile on his face that’s… wow. Ace is crouched so that our noses are barely three inches apart. “We’re not moving.” “Nope.” Ace pops the ‘p’ and gives me a pitying look. “It’s fine, I don’t even know what I’m going to say to my sister when I get there.” I sit up and a big hand comes out to stop me. I blink and realize I nearly hit my head on the top bunk. “I guess I’m not awake yet. Thanks.” “I’ve ended up with many a goose egg because of this bunk.” Ace laughs and I swoon. Like I literally make a swooning sound. He smirks at me, and I roll my eyes. I can feel how red my face is and make sure to not look at him. “Your burger is up here.” “You got me a burger?” My stomach growls. “I figured you’d feel better and be hungry after a nap.” He gets back in the driver’s seat, folding his long legs to get up there. I squeeze through and pick up my burger before I sit down. There are red tail lights as far as I can see. Great. “Now, I need to know that you didn’t steal that car. I also need to know you’re not sixteen or something.” My burger is halfway to my mouth, but I stop to answer him. “I’ll be twenty in a few days.” Ace shakes his head and rubs his bearded jaw. “Is there something wrong with that? I’m not sixteen, you’re not endangering a minor.” I take a bite of the burger. It’s not warm anymore, but I’m starving, so I really don’t care. “Am I harboring a fugitive?” Ace watches me chew the burger. I shake my head. “I’ve driven that car since I was sixteen. It’s always been my car, but my parents do own it. I think they want me back more than they want the car. They can buy a new car, I’m the last daughter they can marry off.” As soon as I say the words, I cover my mouth. I did not mean to say so much. “Marry off?” With a quick glance at the still cars around us, he turns in his seat to look at me. “Spill it.” “I get a question before I answer yours.” I talk around the bite of burger. Ace pretends to think, eyebrow arched, tapping his chin. I giggle and he smiles. God he’s hot, rugged, manly. “I’ll answer your question.” “How old are you?” I caught him off guard. Good. Ace clears his throat. “Thirty-three.” My eyes widen. “Practically ancient.” He glances back up at the traffic then those emerald eyes land on me again. “You’re not ancient. Older than I would have guessed, but you thought I was sixteen.” I shrug and pop the last bite of burger in my mouth. “Too old for you.” He holds my gaze when he says it and I can feel the heat rolling off him in waves. Oh wow.

“I can walk.” Farah crosses her arms, and I can’t help but smile. Her long legs are covered in skintight yoga pants and she’s covered in a pink hoodie with the yoga studio logo on the front. Her cheeks are pinker than they’ve been in days, and her dark waves are loose around her shoulders. She looks amazing. I have to remind myself that being in jeans here doesn’t mean my coworkers need to see me walking around with a hard on. I give Sheila a wink and the older woman rolls her eyes at me. I take over the wheelchair and lean down to whisper in Farah’s ear. “Hospital policy.” I kiss her ear and watch her shudder. “It’s stupid.” She pouts, and from my angle, I can see her lower lip sticking out. I want to kiss it, drag it between my teeth. “Sorry, legs. It is what it is.” She turns to look at me, eyes narrowed. “Did you just call me legs?” “I did. I haven’t had the chance to appreciate them until now, and they go on for days,” I tease. “And now you’ll never see them.” She keeps glaring but I just smile. “We’ll see about that.” I get her to the sliding doors near where I parked and wait for them to slide open. “Where’s Vera?” Farah asks when I get to my car and put on the wheelchair brakes. “I told her I got it.” I shrug and open my trunk, tossing her bag in the back. “When you’re hot and a nurse, little old ladies love to tell you yes.” I open the passenger door, offer her my hand to help her stand, and then help her ease into the seat. Once she’s in, I press the button for the seat warmer, close the door, and take the chair back in. I get in the driver’s side, glance at Farah and put it in drive. “What?” Her eyes are wide, lips parted. “What is going on? You’re just taking me home?” The confusion is clear on her face. “No.” I pull out of the parking lot and on to the main road. “I’m taking you to my house. And before you argue, I know what you’re going to say. Your apartment is on the fifth floor, mine is not. You are going to need help for a few days. Vera has to run the studio and can’t help you like I can.” “You have a job. You work long hours. And the most important part is that I don’t know you!” She takes a deep breath and blows it out. “Look legs–” “Don’t call me that. I’ve been made fun of enough for being this tall. I don’t need it from you too.” Farah crosses her arms over her chest. “I’m not making fun. Your legs are fucking amazing. All of you is.” I get to my road and make the turn. “Oh,” is all she says. “So, you think I’m hot and you’re kidnapping me?” I can hear the smile in her voice. “Pretty much.”

“You asked me to move in,” I remind him. “And to work with you.” I quit the serving job and started training in the kitchen as soon as I could. Tonight will be my first night in my new position and I’m scared as hell I’m going to mess up. But with Liam there, I know it’ll be fine. “It’s because I can’t get enough of you.” Liam stops me at the door and pulls me in for a kiss. I sigh and lean into it. I was with my ex for years and never felt like this. Liam makes me feel safe, wanted, secure. Not that I need a man to make me feel those things, but damn is it nice. He leads me by the hand to his truck, opens the door for me and I climb in. He squeezes my ass in the process and closes my door once I’m seated. In a matter of seconds, his hand is on my leg, the truck is in gear, and we’re pulling away from the cute little house we now share. “That place isn’t forever. I’m going to build you a big one. Lots of rooms for babies and a massive kitchen.” He glances at me, one hand draped lazily over the wheel, the other on my thigh. “Who said anything about babies?” I tease, but his grip tightens. “Joking, Liam.” I say soothingly. “You were planning kids with him.” His words come out with a little too much bite for my taste. “Yes, and he already had three. I was also planning a wedding, but he already had that too,” I snap back. “Is it because…” “Liam, stop.” I cut him off. “I don’t want to talk about him.” “Are you still in love with him?” His voice is tight. “No!” Honestly, I don’t think I ever was. I don’t know why talking about a house and kids with Liam doesn’t freak me out, but it doesn’t. It feels like something we should talk about; like the next step in our process. I feel like I’ve known Liam my whole life and this is where I belong. It’s not the first time he’s mentioned he wants kids, and he seems to want them soon, but I’m not quite ready to not be on the pill. Liam doesn’t say anything else and neither do I. We pull into the lot, Liam gets out and slams the truck door. I lean over, lay on the horn and wait for him to get annoyed with me and come back. He doesn’t. And this is what happens when you pick a brooding man. Fine, I can pout too. I wait until I’m almost late to head inside and start my first official shift as his sous chef. He may be stubborn, but I am so much worse.

Before I know what I’m doing, I’m outta my chair and striding across the bar. Everett says my name, but I just shake my head and keep walking. When I get to the stool next to her, I pause to take her in. Tight ass jeans, a sparkly top, and curves for fucking days. Turned toward the bartender, she doesn’t see me, but he does. He gives me a chin tip before vanishing and I lift one leg over the stool to sit next to her. “Now don’t take this wrong, but you don’t really fit in here.” I lean in so she can hear me. “No, not really.” She turns to me, and I’m hit with big, chocolate doe eyes and even fuller lips than I imagined. “How’d you find yourself in O’Malley’s alone?” The bartender appears with another beer, and I thank him. “A job.” She shrugs and mirrors me by lifting her glass. A job. No fucking way this little thing could make it in this place. The patrons would eat her alive. I bite back a laugh. “But I don’t think he’s very impressed.” She nods to the man delivering drinks across the bar. I think his name is Drake, but I don’t remember. “Anyone not impressed with you is blind or wrong.” I wink at her and she smirks, still nursing the same beer. “If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were hitting on me.” “Good thing you know better.” I put out a hand. “Dax.” She slides her small, soft hand into mine. “Joslyn. It’s very nice to meet you.” Before she slides her hand from mine I run my thumb over her knuckles, reveling in the softness. “Nice to meet you, Joslyn. Now I have a question before we get better acquainted. Is there any reason you shouldn’t be talking to me alone in a bar?” I lean in, wanting, needing, to be closer to her. And hoping like hell she doesn’t have a man waiting for her somewhere. “Nope. But who said we needed to be better acquainted?” Mischief lights those brown eyes and her tongue darts out to lick her bottom lip. Fuck me, I want to be the one licking that lip. “I’m a nice guy. You seem like a nice girl. I think us getting acquainted sounds like a damn good idea.” I wink at her, and a pink blush starts at her chest and creeps up her neck to her cheeks. “What do you say? Wanna come join us over here?” Her eyes dart to my rowdy party behind us and her lips twist. I stand up and lean in close to her ear. “Don’t worry, none of them will lay a hand on you. You have my word.” Joslyn stands up, her head barely coming up to my shoulder, and looks up at me.

I have to look like a freaking fish, opening and closing my mouth over and over. Brown hair, hazel eyes, that face that not even time can make me forget. “Holy shit! Sebbie?” Talk about a blast from the past. I look the man in front of me up and down. The last time I saw Sebastian Keller, he was eighteen, gangly, and had acne, and I was madly in love with him. The Seb in front of me is definitely not a kid anymore. He’s at least six-foot with a chiseled jaw for days and is rocking the gray sweatpants like a porn star. There’s definitely dick print there. And I’m not unimpressed. Oh, my god, stop looking at his junk. “Stevie. Wow.” He breaks our mutual silence, and my eyes snap up from perusing his body. Face. Yes. Focus on his face. Hazel eyes, a little stubble, a swoop of dark hair on his forehead. Yup. Still Seb standing there. I take stock of the features one more time just to be sure and come to the same conclusion. Sebastian is my delivery, and time was good to this man. He grew up real nice. He’s checking me out too, but like a gentleman: he’s staring at my face, those eyes I know so well searching my face for something. I think back to right before I got out of my car and try to figure out what he sees right now. My eye makeup was on point at the beginning of the night, but I’ve worked a whole shift at the coffee shop and delivered ten meals since then. My hair is… I probably shouldn’t think about it. The ponytail it started in is probably lopsided and messy, but nothing I can do about it now. “I take it this is your dinner since you’re in front of the only penthouse I see?” I offer the food and hold it between us. After way too long, he takes it very slowly like he may spook me if he moves too fast. The way my heart is hammering tells me this might be true. “Yeah. Thanks.” His hand wraps around the bag, and I scope it for a ring. Nothing. Interesting. We keep staring at each other, and my hand falls uselessly to my side. “Do you want to come in?” As soon as he says it, Seb’s brows furrow like he’s surprised himself. “I, uh, no. I don’t want to bother you.” I shake my head and take a step back. I am not emotionally stable enough for this, and I’m not wearing lipstick. “Right. You’re working. Sorry.” Seb winces, or tries to smile, I can’t tell. “No, you’re it. For now.” Good job, Stevie, now you don’t have an excuse to leave. “Then come in for a second. I’m starving and need to sit down after that run. I can’t believe you’re here.” Then I get a real smile and know for sure that this sexy man in front of me is the same Seb from my childhood. That smile does the same thing now that it did fifteen years ago. My face gets hot, and I chew my bottom lip. “Yeah. Okay. Just for a second.” I nod, trying to figure out why I just agreed to this. I smell like fried food, dogs, and coffee. Not a good combo, and I’m sure I look as tired as I am, but my stupid feet don’t get the memo, and they do the opposite of what my rational brain is saying. Seb tips his head for me to follow him in.

Crazy Sara embraces her reputation, it doesn’t bother her, because she’s living her best life until her best friend’s brother moves in. New to NYC, Zack needs a place to crash and quickly realizes that his new roomie isn’t as crazy as everyone thinks. Can these two play for keeps or are they just roommates? Readers will fall in love with this roommates romance from Allie York. The 425 Madison series is back with season three and JUST ROOMMATES is live!

Sara

I’m known around 425 Madison, and to my friends, as Crazy Sara. While they never use the nickname to my face, I know my reputation precedes me. That’s just fine with me, after all I’ve got everything I ever wanted. I have an apartment in the swankiest building in NYC, a different date every night, and the future is mine for the taking.

Okay so maybe only one thing is missing – the perfect roommate to keep me company.

Unfortunately, the roommate who wants me is not what I had in mind. And my best friend gave me one rule: Don’t sleep with her brother.

Zack

With an art degree in hand it only makes sense for me to move to NYC. Both of my sisters live here and my new niece. New York has an endless supply of muses for my art and models to entertain.

Things were just fine in my new life, until my sister gets tired of me crashing in her guest room and decides I’ll be the perfect roommate for her friend Crazy Sara. I’m on board with a change of scenery as long as the scenery is my sister’s gorgeous friend. But turns our Crazy Sara isn’t really as crazy as they all claim and she’s not really interested in me – or at least that’s what she claims.

That’s fine, two can play this game.

After all, 425 Madison is the perfect place to fall in love!

“Well?” I jump, brush hovering over the canvas to put the last stroke on my painting. Sara’s voice cuts through all the noise in my head and the acoustic crap coming from my phone. I forgot I turned it on. I drop the brush into the cup of turpentine and look up at her. Sara has her arms to the side, palms up, and spins when I look at her. In true Sara date attire, she’s in a tight dress. The red against her pale skin draws the eye to the short hemline and low neckline. The back dips to the middle of her back, and her hair is piled up on her head to show off her slender neck. Diamond studs, black heels, and red lips solidify the look. Before I met Sara, I never would have looked at a woman dressed like a trophy wife, but suddenly I can’t take my eyes off her.

Sara looks at me for feedback. “You look amazing,” I say it with zero irony. I’ve seen her get dressed and leave for seven dates now, but she’s never asked for my opinion, and I’ve never really noticed how gorgeous she is. Of course, I know she’s pretty, but maybe after seeing her with her face natural, hair wet, and the prettiest I’ve ever seen her, I can appreciate the made up Sara.

“Thanks!” she chirps in her high voice she uses when on the phone, face turning pink.

“Welcome,” I mumble.

“Where is your shirt?” Sara’s eyes rake over me appreciatively.

“Over there.” I point at the table. “Don’t want to get paint on it.” I gesture at the specks of black on my freckled chest.

“Oh, well, don’t wait up, I think this one is a winner.” Sara winks her long lashes and grabs her black wallet from the table next to the door. My stomach twists into a knot, and I take a breath. Why do I suddenly care what she does?

“Good luck. Be safe.” I force a smile. My voice sounds like gravel when I force the words out.

Sara pauses and blinks at me. “I will. Thanks.” I take the four strides to where she’s hovering near the door and put my hand on the knob, putting me only inches from her. Her eyes go wide.

“I’ll lock the door behind you.” I twist the handle, watching the rise and fall of her chest when her breathing picks up. She swallows, big blue eyes staring up at me.

“Thank you.” She clears her throat and shifts uncomfortably.

“Anytime,” I answer after a long pause. I can smell her all around me, feel the tension crackling between us, and lean forward only an inch. Her eyes flutter closed, the gold dusting on them shimmers in the light. I lean in closer, able to feel her breath on my lips, and close my eyes.

The knock on the door makes me jump back, eyes flying open. Sara squeals, stumbling back on her high heels. Her hip bumps the table by the door, and my keys hit the floor with a dull thud. Sara’s chest rises and falls like she just ran a marathon, and my heart might come free of my ribcage. She looks up at me like a deer in headlights, and I must look the same.

Read Just Roommates Now!

First, I love the 425 Madison series! Second, Crazy Sara is totally one of my favorite characters! I love when a character is so “out there” that the vanilla friends in their life call them crazy. But that’s neither here or there.

Zack is new to NYC and new to rooming with Sara. He was living with his sister until she’s decided he needs to be a roomie with Sara. And so off we go. Sara is all about the good things in life, except she isn’t allowed to sleep with her friend’s hot brother. Of course.

Zack is the first to get through to Sara it seems and gets to the heart of why Sara gives off the good time girl persona.

A great story I will be re-reading when I need a funny, hot story!

5 stars!
