You must read the books in order. Each book builds upon the previous. And you won’t understand what is going on if you skim or skip ahead or even just forgo reading each of the 3 books. This story just grabs you from the second it starts until the very end. You get invested in these characters and their stories until you feel like they’re friends of yours.

To borrow a line from Veronica Mars: their “story is epic. Spanning decades and continents. Lives lost, blood shed” That might not be an exact quote but it’s close. Oliver and Abby’s story definitely defines that quote. They’ve loved each other as kids and did as adults.

An amazing read that I think everyone should read! And I’d LOVE if it all became a box set…. Hint hint….

I was dying for this continuation after the cliffy from No Regrets. And you MUST read that book first because this one will make no sense otherwise. This is the continuing story of Abbygail and Oliver, not a different couple each book. So go back and read if you haven’t now.

This story picks up right where No Regrets ended. We learn why Oliver left Carrington (and Abby) 6 years ago. And we learn how (and if) Abby dealt with her best friend leaving and how she has moved on (or not) over those 6 years.

Be warned, this ends on a cliffhanger too! I was hoping everything would get solved but there’s still more to come for Oliver and Abby.

This book grabbed me from page 1! I was immediately pulled into Abbygail and Oliver’s story. They’re best friends who through events (not telling what!) fall out of their friendship. It’s through a lot of misunderstandings, misinterpretations and just spite that they allow themselves to forget their friendship and fall apart.

This book will just consume you because you are reading along with the story and just knowing you want them to get together but other events make that impossible. So frequently I wanted to smack both characters and make them wise up.

This does end with a cliffhanger that I wasn’t expecting. So I will nicely bug for when book 2 comes out so I can assuage my curiosity.
