“Fangs?” she asked.
I tucked her in and smoothed her damp hair away from her forehead. “What’s up?”
She reached up for me. “Will you sit with me until I go back to sleep?”
I took her hand and perched on the edge of the bed. “Sure. I’ll be right here.”
“Thank you.”
It came out almost like a whisper, yet the gratitude within those two words struck my heart hard. She had been such a trooper, such a strong woman in the face of such carnage, and I wondered what all she had endured in her life to help her get to that point. I mean, she hadn’t once mentioned her parents. Were they even in the picture?
The idea that she was alone in life hurt. And it caused me to shuffle myself beneath the covers just so I could hold her. Just so I could be there. Just so I could show her that she wasn’t alone, not as long as she was with me.
Savannah Rylan is a romance writer that spends most of her time writing and reading with her cat, Gris. About the author:
Fabiola Francisco loves the simplicity—and kick—of scotch on the rocks. She follows Hemingway’s philosophy—write drunk, edit sober. She writes women’s fiction and contemporary romance, dipping her pen into new adult and young adult. Her moods guide her writing, taking her anywhere from sassy and sexy romances to dark and emotion-filled love stories.
Writing has always been a part of her life, penning her own life struggles as a form of therapy through poetry. She still stays true to her first love, poems, while weaving longer stories with strong heroines and honest heroes. She aims to get readers thinking about life and love while experiencing her characters’ journeys.
She is continuously creating stories as she daydreams. Her other loves are country music, exploring the outdoors, and reading.

I never expected to see my favorite rock band standing in the office of my high school getting their schedules. Kids my age aren’t known for touring the world and making music for the masses, but Somnolence is.

Then Raiden starts.
It all started with a glance
I knew you were everything.
The warnings and threats
Didn’t mean a thing.
I hid my eyes and hid my fangs
I wouldn’t watch you bleed.
I’ll take this love to the grave
You’re all that I need.
Raiden holds out his hand to me and waves me to him.
I’ll take you once
I’ll have you twice
Or it will be every fucking time
That I have you on your back
Or just in my mind.
These aren’t just my memories
That choke me, I can’t breathe.
Then Raiden sings and Trace screams the next line together and Vivi, Lizzy and I swoon.
I’m begging you, please don’t ever leave.
When the song is over, I run up to a sweat dripping Raiden and throw my arms around him. “I love you!”
“I love you too, Lilac,” he says, catching his breath.
“Want a drink?”
“A water would be good.” He combs his damp hair back, and I kiss his lips.
“I’ll be right back!” I run into the kitchen, grab some water and pour a shot of tequila, putting the salt shaker between my cleavage and grabbing a lime wedge to put it in my mouth. I scamper out to where he’s talking to Bane. He turns to me, his eyebrows raise and he grins.
“Well, well, well. Looks like I’m doing a shot too?” He bends down and licks my neck and sprinkles some salt on it. Then takes the shot and tips it back, licking the salted part of me and biting the lime still in my mouth. He pulls it out and drops it on the floor before he moves back. “Mmmm, delicious.”
“Yeah, princess. But next time, if you don’t have enough to share with the class, don’t bring just one” Bane teases, looking at my mouth.
I look back at him scandalized. “Bane! Inappropriate!”
Raiden laughs.
Because it’s my night, we get to do anything I want, which to Jumper’s disappointment, isn’t truth or dare. We all gather on the couches to watch movies.
“It’s my birthday, my choice!” I reiterate.
Trace sights. “I’m just sayin’. Scary faces at night are a bad idea.”

★★★★★ Intel Chicky Reads Romance (Kara Merideth) – “I’ve read all of Eva’s mafia books and this one was a bit of a departure from her usual tales, but what a totally fantastic ride!”★★★★★ Karen_Lee_Reads – “Readers get humor, shenanigans, a couple whose hot and steamy relationship keeps readers happy and a truly nice Irish Mob leader.”★★★★★ Jess and the Traveling Chair – “I CANT. GET. ENOUGH. Y’all this book is one that you stay up until 2AM to read because its mysterious, SPICY, and the perfect amount of possessive alpha male.”

The first time I saw him, I knew I’d never want another man the way I wanted him.
The second time, I drank a bottle of his most expensive cognac, which I’d never be able to afford on my own.
And the third time… well, he caught me stealing from him.
Stealing from the head of the Irish Mafia wasn’t smart. But then I never claimed to be.
Now I owed him a debt… a big one. And it couldn’t be settled with money, or favors.
He only wanted one thing…
Me. Submitting to his darkest demands. Once the debt is settled he’ll let me go.
Except he is forbidden to me. Because if I were smart… I’d figure out another way to repay my best friend’s father.

EXCERPT:
“I want to show you another special place.” His voice was low and gravelly in her ear and a burst of moisture came between her legs as her nipples pebbled up hard, almost painfully, against the snug material of her dress.
“What about the performance ….?” She was breathless now, arching her back, her head leaning on his shoulder.
“Lucky for you I own the joint. You can see them another time.”
Marc grabbed her hand, leading her to a doorway hidden behind the bar. He opened it and practically shoved her into the room, shutting the door behind them and locking it. When he flipped on the light, Simran burst into laughter.
“A broom closet!? You wanted to show me a broom closet?” She turned to face him and saw absolute desire written all over his face, his eyes darkened. “Well, well, well. And what’s so special about this closet, Marcus Lehigh?” She stood with hands on her hips.
“God, I love it when you use my entire name. It’s like I’ve been a naughty kid or something.” He groaned, pushing her up against the wall, possessing her mouth in a drugging kiss. Simran was already feeling carefree from the champagne, the show, the club, and this only made her feel lighter, dizzier. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him even closer, rubbing her body against his hard one. She felt his stiffened length pressing into her belly and she whimpered, widening her legs as far as her tight dress would let her.
“You certainly are a naughty boy, Marcus Lehigh. Dragging me from the show, having me all to yourself,” she taunted, while his lips drew down her neck, nipping and pulling at his favorite spot where her pulse was beating fast butterfly wings underneath her skin.
He hiked her dress up around her waist and hoisted her up so her legs were straddling him, her back against the wall.
“Fuck, you’ll see how bad I can be,” he growled.
