So I was thinking this was similar to Alice Clayton’s Wallbanger – which I LOVED – but this is so much more than that!

I stayed up WAY too late reading because I couldn’t stop. I needed to know how RJ and Dani’s story played out! I was wrapped up immediately in the sassy, back-and-forth, trying to outdo each other post-its RJ and Dani were slinging. Of course you could tell something would happen between them, WAY too much smoke there to say there wasn’t a fire.

I don’t want to go too in-depth on this review and give away things that happen but just do yourself a favor and read this! Make sure you have enough time and no distractions to read. Because you will hate (yes HATE) anyone or any thing that stops you from reading this story!

My heart was in my throat most of the time reading because there was just SO much!

I hadn’t read this series before so I had to read book 1 first to get introduced to these people and the wonder of Sebastian. Which after reading Before Girl, I needed to know more about this crotchety, perpetually grumpy, growly man. Which how awesome is it that the smiley, super happy Doctor Sara is the one to mellow out Sebastian’s rough edges?

I mean, with that much chemistry between the two, it was just a matter of time before they gave in, right? Sara is so complex, I absolutely loved reading her story. It isn’t just a matter of her history, but everything she’s had to deal with – which Sebastian understands and is determined to protect Sara from.

I loved how strong each was in their conviction of hatred of the other, but then wouldn’t allow others to trash them. Sebastian has been known to be the surly grump so any feeling that isn’t grump must be hidden at all costs! So it was so hard for Sebastian and Sara to get it together and be a couple.

Philippa fastened the last black button on her crisp new lime-green kitchen jacket. So much for a simple staff presentation. Not only was she expected to introduce Dominic, per Zurie’s request, she now had to stay for his entire cooking demonstration.

Reading this book, I couldn’t decide who I loved more; Sterling or Lexi. It kept switching depending on what we found out about their lives. Lexi is SASS personified but Sterling is cocky as cocky can be. So of course their story was going to be explosive. Oil and water and all that. Although were they really all that different?

Sterling portrays himself to be an unbothered, cocky, ladies man and while some of that is true; I wouldn’t say he’s unbothered. He’s bothered by his dad and the scandal he brought upon the Golden name. And surprisingly, Lexi is the person who seems to be the safest space for him to be his true self. Which Sterling ends up being the space Lexi needs also. She’s so used to being “the disappointment” of her family, that she has taken to hiding her true self, including why she’s done the things she’s done.

I loved reading Lexi and Sterling’s story and can’t wait for more!

Jasper loved Larabey but love wasn’t enough. So, he walked away and settled for less. Now he wants to fix that one, best love – the love he didn’t understand until it was no longer his.

I was born in Kentucky and raised in Florida, so I am a southerner through and through. Since I was old enough to pick up a book, I have been a voracious reader. I wrote the usual poetry and short stories in high school, and I kept the dream of writing in the back of my heart until opportunity and encouragement helped me to realize that dream.

I live in Tampa with my kids, grandkids, dogs, various other livestock, and way more books than is strictly healthy.

3. It is my sincere belief that any situation can be improved by eating some cheese.

My name is Sarah Brianne and after living for twenty-two years the characters in my head told me enough was enough and I have finally put pen to paper (or is it finger to keyboard?) to tell their stories. Since I was a little girl I have watched every chick flick I could get my hands on, then when I became older I discovered a whole new world of romance novels. Taking after my mother, I’ve always loved to cook, and became pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to experiment and my unfortunate family has suffered through many. They now have learned to steer clear of those dishes. I absolutely love the holidays and my family puts up with my zany decorations.

For now, my days are spent writing, writing, and writing. I have two children, my daughter is also an author, and my son just tries not to blush when someone asks him about my books.
