I’ve never met a Ruth Cardello series I didn’t love! And the Westerly Billionaire series isn’t any different.
Alisha is helping out her good friend Spencer by agreeing to marry him so that he can access his trust fund. His grandmother put a condition on it that they each had to marry to receive their trust fund early. She loves Spencer (as a friend) and his family and so she agrees. Then she meets Spencer’s distant brother Brett…

Brett is a workaholic of epic proportions. But that’s what he was raised with and what was expected of him. He’s been a provider behind the scenes and he’s just fine with that. Until he meets his brother’s fiancée and can’t get her out of his mind. She’s fierce, spunky and says what’s on her mind. And he can’t deny that he’s wildly attracted to her and her personality.
This was my favorite (or one of my favorite) type of stories. Where the CEO (or workaholic executive) is attracted to the sassy woman who stands up for her friends. And thus, ultimately changes him in ways so he’s more approachable.

I hope Spencer’s story is next. Or Rachelle. I can’t decide!

After reading Sex Machine, I needed to hear Lauren and Garrett’s story! Lauren and Garrett’s friendship was amazing, especially after they’d done the deed and it was less than stellar. They’re still BFFs and have an amazing friendship. But Garrett wants to fix that one night and prove that they’ve got the chemistry for fireworks.

Garrett has been the man in his family for 6 years when his father died unexpectedly. He’s been working his father’s company and providing for his family while waiting for his younger siblings to finish school so he can live for himself. And do what he wants to do. But then he wants to do Lauren and things change completely.

I can’t wait for Scarlett’s story!!

I’ve always wondered about Zee. He’s always pretty much kept to himself and doesn’t let anyone in so his bandmates don’t know anything about the secret he’s hiding. He stepped in to take over for his brother after his death but he’s doing everything he can to prove that he’s not the hard partier/fighter that his brother was.

Alexis is trying to save her sister and gets in over her head until Zee saves her and determines that he needs to keep her safe. They form such a bond and relationship and it’s just awesome!

What in the hell was I thinking getting involved with her?

I find myself halfway home when I do a U-turn. I hit the gas, speeding toward Myrtle Beach. My tears fall once again as I think of him leaving and I’m not the last person he sees. I park at the airport entrance, racing through every checkpoint I can before actually yelling, “He’s leaving. I have to tell him I love him.” The airport officials have mercy on me when I explain he’s a soldier and I’m crazy for him. “He may not make it back, he’s deploying.”

Pointed in the right direction, I sprint to his departure gate. His family standing close by the window, I know then he’s already boarded. I push past several onlookers to the wide expanse of glass standing between us.

I search, switching between his family and the plane, to gauge where he will be. My chest constricts as I get a glimpse of him for the first time in fatigues. He’s breathtaking. As my pride swells, I lay my hand on the window, reaching for him.

I begin to lose hope when his eyes suddenly dart to me. A smile growing on his face as I fight to dry mine. The plane begins to roll, and I follow it, never moving my hand from the clear barrier. When Riley raises his hand, pressing it against the glass, I fall to my knees.

My eyes never leave his face nor does my hand break our connection. I stay there as he taxi’s down the runway and lifts off. Leaving me. I push against the glass with both hands, hoping beyond all things I could break it and run after him.

I sit against the window, clutching my chest as if my heart has fallen from it until Walker picks me up from the floor. He carries me from the building, my life in ashes. Walker sits with me until I regain some semblance of composure. I’m not ever far from plummeting over the edge again.

This was actually the first book of Shantel Tessier’s that I’ve read and I was NOT disappointed. This series was amazing! I loved Ashlyn and Ryder’s start. Ashlyn is not interested in relationships and neither is Ryder. So when they meet at a bar, they figure one night will be perfect for them. Until Ashlyn finds out that Ryder is her bestie’s brother.

Ryder hasn’t been into relationships but he can’t stop himself from wanting one with Ashlyn and having to convince her into it. I love stories where the male wants the female and has to persuade her on giving them a shot.

Now there is a cliffhanger but Myself is out and you get to hear more…

A great continuation of the series but featuring Becca and Jaycent. Yes, Ashlyn and Ryder make appearances but you get to hear about Becca and Jaycent’s story from them directly. Which I so wanted to hear after the a$$hole that Conner was. And I love this title because it fits Becca directly. She is doing things for herself now and not someone else and planning to make herself happy, however that happens.

Jaycent has always been Becca’s protector and now we know why. Yes, she’s his bestie’s little sister but there’s more and almost always has been. I loved that there was more to Jaycent than being just happy go lucky guy and that he was so deep and feeling.

This ends in a cliffhanger too but it will be more about Ryder and Ashlyn again – because we need their story wrapped up STAT!!!
