“Kindle Alexander takes a caterpillar and molds him into a butterfly and both Chad and Ducky will become instant favorites.” ~The Overflowing Bookcase

Duncan “Ducky” Reigns, metalhead and hardcore gamer, has spent his life railing against the establishment. But now when he looks at himself in the mirror that’s not the person he sees. Though he and his brother have worked hard to create a successful multi-million-dollar company, he’s lost himself and his identity in the process.
Chad Reeves, successful in his own right, has achieved every goal he’s set for himself. But living up to the legacy of his uber-successful father feels like an impossible task. When the heavy burden of a lifelong secret begins to unravel, he’s forced to face the truth. He’s lacking in what matters the most and only one thing can make it right.

Compassion hinted in Teri Reeves serious expression. “Then who is he?” she asked as if it were a given next option.
Hell, maybe it was. She had lived with his father for eighteen years, knowing he was gay for most of that time.
Technically, her question should have made this easier on Chad, but it didn’t. With all the mean-spirited harassment he’d received from the kids in his high school when his father came out, and the untold amount of bullshit he’d had to deal with when their private family affairs began to be splattered all over the local news, made talking about a long-term relationship with another man anything but casual…
Whoa. Step way back.
Wait a damn minute. Long-term relationship? That thought had struck him like a blow from out of nowhere.
Wow, what a moment for an epiphany. He ran unsteady hands nervously through his hair. A long-term commitment from Ducky? Is that what he wanted?
Ducky had never given him any clue that he was anything other than a straight man. Not any of those telltale signs indicating interest in the same sex. The bigger problem was that Ducky hadn’t spoken to him in days. Not one word to all of Chad’s texts apologizing for his unguarded comment.
His heart dipped then fluttered, sending a shiver from his head to his toes and racing back up his spine again. He didn’t like Ducky ignoring him, not one damn bit. Anyone but Ducky.
“Ducky,” he finally whispered. Funny how saying the name out loud seemed to validate his feelings, giving him an inner boost.
His mother blinked then opened her mouth to speak. No words came as she blinked again, closing her mouth. Her head tilted quizzically, and her hand lifted about six inches from her head. She shook her fingers. He took it to indicate Ducky’s mop of curls.
First smile in days. “Yes. Except he’s changed, but I’m really into those curls.”
Chad reached for the cell phone in his back pocket, bringing up an image of Ducky that he’d saved from The Game Awards. He turned the screen to show his mother Ducky’s new look.
She pretty much had the same reaction he had. A moment of pure confusion as she stared at the screen before she took the phone from his hand, using her fingers to zoom in on Ducky’s face. “This is him? He’s very handsome, Chad.” Her brow wrinkled as she glanced up. “You two have similar coloring, but your hair’s darker now.”
Chad nodded and looked down at Ducky’s photo still on the screen. “He and I talk all the time. Mostly online and text, but it’s moved to phone calls now too. We’ve never met face-to-face, but he’s my best friend. I share almost everything with him, yet he didn’t tell me he’d made these changes to his appearance. That’s why I said it wasn’t him during the podcast. It caught me off guard.”
“Because you’re attracted to him?” she asked, looking at the screen again, tapping it to keep the photo up.
“I was attracted to him before he did all this. He’s a really good guy, Mom. Smarter than anyone I know. We’ve been friends since we were on Xbox Live together in early junior high. I think he surpasses Dad with his knowledge of code. Ducky can hack into anything. We’d all be online together and watch him do it when we were younger.” Chad took his phone from his mother, drawing her attention back to him. She needed to hear what he planned to say. “I’ve been dealing with my attraction to guys since way before Dad came out. Ducky was the first guy I was into. I’ve never stopped being into him. He’s funny in this unintentional way, but he laughs at himself. He’s real. The most real person I’ve ever known. I’ve never met anyone else like him.”
“I never had any idea you had these feelings. When I asked the question, I didn’t really expect this response,” his mom said in that way only mothers used when they spoke of the regret of missing something so big. “You were young. You must have been afraid and unsure.”
“Hell no, I wasn’t afraid. Sorry,” Chad said, ignoring the critical arching of her brow at the use of the swear word. “Do you think any child you raised could be afraid of anything?”
He pushed off the counter, tucking his cell phone back into his pocket. “I’ve been with guys, Mom. Lots of ’em. And that’s all I’m going to say so don’t ask me any questions.” He couldn’t contain the shiver running through him at the awkwardness of admitting even that much to his mother about his sex life.
“You’ve been with women, too. Right?” His mom stammered, clearly questioning everything she knew about Chad. “Don’t answer that. It doesn’t matter. How have I never known these things about you before? I tried to be an observant, present mother for your whole life. I love you.” She looked pitiful, causing Chad to give a good laugh as his mother took her seat and lifted her glass of iced tea, taking several long gulps.
“Mom, all of us are very well-adjusted. You and Dad are great parents. Kids don’t tell their parents everything. You know that. And it wasn’t easy on any of us to have Dad’s sexuality splashed out for the world to see. I get that social media doesn’t hold weight, but when your father owns a social platform that’s bought by a technology giant like Wilder and then those two men become a couple…the children involved are gonna get some backlash.”
“Oh, I need something stronger than flavored tea.”

I didn’t mean to say I was engaged to a hot billionaire–it just slipped out.
In my defense, I’d had a really bad haircut, a really strong drink, and I was trying to save face in front of the Mean Girl at my high school reunion.
Lucky for me, I happen to know a hot billionaire. Hutton French and I have been friends forever, and even though big social gatherings are not his thing, I called him from the coat closet and begged him for a favor–show up and play my fake fiancé for the night.
Except that word of our engagement spreads like wildfire. Our families are ecstatic. We’re front page news. My little food blog is launched into the stratosphere.
Of course, I offer to set the record straight right away, but Hutton wants to give it a little time–the phony engagement will keep his matrimony-mad mother and every matchmaking granny in town off his back.
He even suggests I move in with him to make the ruse more real.
And we don’t stop there.
We practice kissing. Undressing each other. Saying things–and doing things–we’d never dare if we weren’t pretending. Because it’s all for show, right? We’re just role-playing. Hutton doesn’t want a real relationship, and I don’t want to get hurt. But the more time we spend faking it, the more I start to wonder.
Could Hutton French and I actually be right for each other, or is it all just one big tease?

Welcome to Summers in Seaside, a small town located along the Oregon Coast and home of the Seaside Festival. This brand new series of short contemporary romance stories is filled with sun, sand and summer adventures that will tug at your heart strings.

Rebecca Gallo was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by her babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. She harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the mini-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. She is still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.
Rebecca currently lives in Southern Arizona with her family and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When she isn’t swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, she can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos.

“This book was something totally new for me. Dystopian novels are something that usually take too much for my brain to process. This one was not. I loved how I could understand and follow everything that has happened to our world (not gonna lie. It scared me how possible it is). Truly an amazing story and I cannot wait for more of this world..”

A wolfish smile claimed his mouth as he continued to slide his hand back and forth, moving his fingers against the sensitive skin of my belly.
“Would you like me to make you purr, Kitten?” he asked, dropping his mouth next to my ear, the warm puffs of his breath sending waves of pleasure straight down to my pussy.
I swallowed.
“Do you know what that little button between your legs is called? The one you love to rub until you’re panting and moaning down here on the bed that we all share.”
I shook my head. “No.”
“It’s called the clit. And the best way to push that button is by sucking on it.”
My lips parted, and I snagged his gaze as he lifted his head away from my ear. “C-can you show me?” Oh my God, what was I doing? Why I was I asking Zane of all people to show me this? He hated me and I’d given up trying to figure out why.
I didn’t care. Yes, you do.
Whatever. I was trying not to care.
Besides, how Zane felt about me didn’t matter. Rix, Jorik and I were building a friendship, I didn’t need Zane. And yet, nothing could have moved me from that spot, or stopped me from asking him to show me. Because at that very moment, there wasn’t anything I wanted more.
That dark, wicked smile was back, the one that transformed him from a miserable grump to a sinfully delicious god who seemed hell-bent on destroying me in the best possible way.
“Oh, Kitten,” he groaned as his fingers slid just a little farther beneath my pants, setting my body on fire.
His mouth hung just over mine, and I could smell the mint on his breath.
Even though Rix was always chewing on them, we’d all taken to grinding them into a paste to clean our teeth, and occasionally chewing on them, too.
I knew this was a game. He was playing me some how, he had to be.
But I did not care.
My body was scorching hot, and it seemed that Zane was the only person onboard who could help tame those flames.
Our eyes locked, and I studied the deep, mesmerizing gray of his irises. Specks of silver and white seemed to move and shimmer as his pupils widened and his lids fell heavily.
I gasped when his teeth caught my bottom lip in a bite that sent pain laced heavily with pleasure right down to my clit.
My hips lifted again. Why were they doing that? But the movement pushed his fingers even lower beneath my pants, where I ached for him to touch me. Where I’d been touching myself more and more over the last few days, feeling bliss unlike anything I’d ever experienced before.
“Why do you … hate me?” I whispered, squeezing my eyes closed and dropping my head back at the same time he dipped his mouth to the side of my neck and scraped his teeth along my carotid artery.
“I don’t hate you, Kitten,” he murmured, nipping a spot just below my ear.
“You sure act like it,” I countered, struggling to get the words out as my body became a maelstrom of divine sensations. As his touch grew more avid, I struggled to pick up on anything but our raging pulses and the musky, woodsy scent of the man looming over me.
“You’re …”
“A liability?” I asked. My deadpan gaze met his and challenged him to call me what he’d called me before. Because we both knew that I wasn’t, at least not anymore. I was learning how to compartmentalize, and I’d already proven myself to be a valuable member of this team, if that’s what we were. I provided food for us. I kept watch while they slept. I wasn’t their charge. I wasn’t a princess incapable of defending herself and in need of brave soldiers defending her.
His head shook but just barely. “A source,” he said, though it sounded like he was forcing the words out when they didn’t want to be said.
My eyes widened, and I went to push him away, but he held me firm in my small space beneath his body, not that I truly struggled. Because I could push him off me.
Then why wasn’t I?
“There’s so much that you just don’t know,” he said, his eyes burning into mine and lighting an even hotter fire in my belly than a moment ago.
“Then tell me.” I lifted my chin in challenge. “Or do you prefer to keep me in the dark?”
His chuckle held only a hint of amusement, and for a breath, we just held each other’s gaze.
A flash of white anger rushed through me. He was deliberately pushing me, but why? I was aroused beyond measure, desperately wanting him to move his hands between my legs and put his mouth on my clit and show me how sucking it made me come even more than just rubbing it, but despite the inferno in his eyes, I could also see that he was holding back and struggling to do so.

“This book is one of the best books I have read this year. Absolutely I adore this author bc her works bring you into this other world.” ~ Spunk N Sassy (Julie)

Gamble clings to two things: the Riot MC brotherhood and a grudge against his sister’s attacker. When his grudge brings danger to an innocent woman, it sends him into a tailspin. Dumping a woman at the clubhouse —as a message for Gamble— enrages the Riot MC brothers, but Gamble risks his life in order to mete out vengeance.

Gamble grabbed my right hand, then reclined the passenger seat while I drove us home.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“I’m good.”
“Good at lying,” I said.
“Kitten, it’s been two weeks since I got out of the hospital. I’m getting better.”
I nodded at the windshield. “Yeah, but that doesn’t mean you needed to stand around for an hour with Brute while Aubrey had her practice.”
He didn’t say anything to that. At a traffic light, I glanced at him. He had a big, beautiful smile on his face. The joy in his expression almost made me think he was stoned, but I knew better.
“What are you smiling about?”
His eyes stayed closed as he said, “I’m fucked, but I like it.”
“Pardon?”
He opened his eyes. “It’s always gonna be like this, isn’t it?”
The light changed, I faced forward, and we motored onward. “Is what going to be like this?”
“Us. The bickering, the fussing… and even your girl Heidi fussing over me. That’s how it’s going to be, isn’t it?”
I pressed my lips together. “I don’t know,” I murmured.
His seat came forward. “You know, and it’s true.”
We were in the driveway. I tried to wrest my hand free, but Gamble hit the clicker with his free hand. I pulled the car forward and he hit the clicker again. He let my hand go so I could park and turn off the engine.
Gamble shifted and cupped my cheeks. “You love me, right?”
My chin dipped. “More than I knew I could love anyone.”
His eyes lit up. “Right. And I’m yours in a way I never knew I could belong to anybody.”
“Okay,” I said hesitantly. “What brought this on?”
“You’re mine the same way right? You belong to me?”
I nodded… still hesitant.
“That’s what the property patch is about, kitten. At least for me. I see a woman with a brother’s patch on her back, it doesn’t just tell me she’s off-limits. It tells me that brother found a woman he cares enough about to make her his. And crazy as you might find it, that makes me happy for that man.”
I nodded and his hands fell away. “But some of your brothers haven’t put cuts on their women. I haven’t seen Kenzie wearing anything like that or Trinity.”
Gamble laughed. “Kenzie was wearing one at the Fourth of July party, but you probably didn’t notice because of Stephanie accusing her of cheating at cornhole.”
“Okay, fine. And Trinity?”
A lopsided grin crossed his face. “You might say Trinity made Roman hers, but really, you’d have to ask Roman about that. I don’t know why he hasn’t given her a cut, and God knows Sandy has to be nagging the hell out of Roman about it.”
“That’s not saying much. I think she enjoys nagging your brothers.”
“Yeah. But, we recognize women have rights. Set your feminism aside. If I give you a property cut, it’s an honor, Victoria.”
