However, with all my planning, I didn’t consider one thing.
Him.

Shane
Leaving everything behind, I came here one year ago to find out the truth.

We didn’t belong with each other, and I couldn’t help but feel she was hiding something.
But when did I listen to what was best?

It was a huge decision to make and she thanks her friends and family for supporting her in it.When she is not writing, she can be found with her friends doing all sorts of crazy things or reading recent romance books that were written by her favorite authors.

Love is timeless…

Nash Nation loves zeroes and ones, over-sized monitors and late office hours. He’s too busy taking over the world to make time for relationships—that is, until his new neighbor Willow O’Bryant barges into his life, and now Nash can’t shake the feeling that this isn’t the first time she’s interrupted his world.

Then, the dreams start. And in the dreams—memories.

Memories of a girl named Sookie who couldn’t count on love or friendship, never mind forever. Memories of a library and a boy called Isaac and secrets made in private that destroyed his world.

The memories seem real, but who do they belong to?

When Nash and Willow discover the truth, life as they know it unravels.

The bridge between this life and the next is shored up by blood and bone and memory. Sometimes, that bridge leads to the place we’ve always wanted to be.

It was then that I saw something from Isaac I hadn’t seen before. His stony resolve crumbled and whatever excuses had always kept him from wanting me, from allowing me to act as though I wanted him too, fell away when he began to lower his hand and I held it still against my cheek.

His skin was warm and I could just make out the sharp bite of his calluses against my face. He had an arch along his top lip and eyes like a perfect circle, a play of amber and gold vying for dominance in his irises. Not hazel really, but somewhere in the middle, someplace that said Isaac came from people divergent and varied.

“Riley…” he said, a warning I didn’t want to hear. My gaze didn’t falter; I may have stumbled with Trent, but still, I knew what I wanted, what was best for me, and that was not some overbearing, suit-wearing bully. And Isaac, sweet Isaac, took my lifted chin for the invitation it was, made a sound deep in his throat, and just like that, with a single tilt of his head, stopped fighting and kissed me.

The world went away and I heard the song of hundreds of voices inside of me that sounded so familiar, yet were unlike anything I’d ever heard before. Maybe it was that active imagination of mine working in overdrive. I had wanted Isaac’s touch for months, had daydreamed about it for hours and now that it was here, I realized that my imagination was dull and pathetic. Reality was so much better.

He moved his mouth over mine, tentative at first, but fueled by my reaction and the awesome magnitude of what this felt like, he moved more confidently, more surely. Isaac wanted me and took what I offered freely—his lips soft, directing, his tongue teasing and satisfying all at once, careful of my broken lip yes, but oh, so absolute.

An excerpt from CROSSING THE LINE

Just as she finished her last piece of toast, a knock sounded off on the door to Scarlett’s apartment. Her heart did the samba in her chest, but she pressed a hand over the front of her dark-green tank top to cover the commotion. Eli had said he wanted to stick to business. She could totally do that. They’d be professional. Polite. Work only.

But the perfectly professional, perfectly polite greeting Scarlett had worked up in her head completely disintegrated at the sight of Eli standing on her doorstep with a charming-as-hell smile on his face and a brown paper bag in his hand.

“Morning.” He extended the bag, looking hotter than anyone had a right to. Seriously, who made a hoodie and a pair of banged-up jeans sexy? At five o’clock in the morning? It just wasn’t right.

“What’s this?” she blurted as she took the bag from his outstretched hand, and God, could she be any more graceless?

If Eli was bothered by her distinct lack of a filter, though, he sure didn’t show it. “This is a vegan breakfast burrito.” He paused, tipping his blond head slightly as he added, “And we can add that to the list of things I never thought I’d say.”

Scarlett blinked, trying to piece the words together in a way that made sense. “You bought me a vegan breakfast burrito?”

“No. I made you a vegan breakfast burrito.”

The shock pumping through her veins must’ve taken a detour over her face, because Eli took one look at her and backpedaled. “Okay, sort of. I went up to the main house an hour ago to get a bunch of crates that didn’t fit in the box truck, and Owen was making breakfast burritos. I helped him come up with one for you that fits the bill.”

“Why?”

Scarlett clamped down on her lip just a second too late to bite down on the overly bold question, but to her surprise, Eli just laughed.

“What, is breakfast some sort of sacrilege once you cross the Mason-Dixon Line or something?”

Seriously, she needed to build some sort of immunity to that here-comes-trouble smile of his. Either that or she was going to have to head back to that cute little town where she’d gotten her coffeepot for some cute little batteries to fuel her cute little vibrator.

“No! Nope, mmm-mmm,” she barked, chasing the burn from her cheeks with a sweep of her fingertips. Sure, Eli was good-looking (Fine. He was sex on a stick. Potato-potahto). But they needed to stay professional. That’s what he’d said he wanted.

Only from the look of the cocky, come-and-get-it smile on his face right now, Scarlett wasn’t so sure he’d meant a single word.

“A captivating and beautiful story with lots of love and passion.” – 5 Star Amazon Review

“A beautiful love story” – 5 stars from Momlovestoread Reviews

“It’s beautiful and heartbreaking” – 5 Stars from Shakespeare’s Wench Book Blog

A secret smile.

A haunting kiss.

Life – Interrupted.

Keilen Rivers was the best Lily Campbell never had. He was the promise she didn’t let herself keep. After all, nothing in life seems meant to last, and love is no exception.

When Lily’s life takes an unexpected and tragic turn, she leaves behind both her island home and the boy she could have loved to protect the only family she has left.

But sometimes life takes without giving. Sometimes you cannot bend, only break. And when her career spirals out of her control, Lily can only watch as everything she worked for falls to ruin.

But some lies are hard to come back from. And some promises are made to be broken. Sometimes going home again is the only thing that can save you. But first you have to break. First you have to fall.

Half a step, then two more and there was the weight of Keilen’s large hand on the center of her back, guiding, directing her until she came to rest against his barrel chest, until those massive arms cradled her and the hot fan of his breath slipped down her neck.

The feel of him, the angle of his body, how it moved against hers, how they seemed to fit, to match, to be part of some puzzle she’d never known needed solving was fantasy made real—a hundred stupid wishes her teenage self had spoken into the ether finally realized; breath sweet and intoxicating against her skin. He didn’t dance like her classmates in New Haven. They’d all been a bundle of jerks and gyrations, clumsy sways with the solitary agenda of insinuating an act they so eagerly tried to move Lily toward. They moved like boys—anxious, unpracticed. Keilen moved like a man—commanding, sure, and Lily wanted to stay with him like that, to see how far removed reality would be to the dreams and decadent fantasy she’d invented about him.

“You got plans tonight?” I was done chasing this chick. It was time to get straight to the point.
“Um…”
“You say that a lot, babe.”
“What?” she asked, confused.
“You say um a lot.”
“Oh, I guess I never noticed.” She stood there staring at me.
“Plans? You got any tonight?”
“Um.” She realized she said um again and blushed red, as her eyes darted down. “No plans.”
“You ever been to Shake the Lake?”
“Once, when I was seventeen. I didn’t get to see the fireworks, though.”
I reached out to grab my keys but grabbed her hand instead. “Come with me tonight,” I pleaded, our eyes locking.
She tried to jerk her hand out of my grasp, but I tightened my grip. “I can’t,” she insisted.
“Sure you can. You just told me you don’t have plans.”
“Um, I forgot that I have to go to…um…badminton practice,” she stuttered.
“Badminton practice?”
I didn’t think she could blush anymore, but her cheeks turned a dark shade of red, and she nodded yes. “I felt that I needed to broaden my horizons and figured that would be a good place to start.”
“Well, how about you broaden your horizon with me tonight, and you can pick back up with your badminton practice next week?”

Blog Tour ~ Purity ~ by ~ Faith Starr

Title: Purity
Series: Hilltops #2
Author: Faith Starr
Genre: Contemporary, Lite-BDSM, Suspense
Release Date: May 29, 2017
Publisher: Loose ID

Derek Dorian likes to party hard in the bedroom. After all, he is a Dom and co-owner of Hilltops, a club catering to those who like to play outside the box sexually.

Emily Jenkins is an assistant editor in the romance department at Dorian Publishing, the company Derek’s family founded and owns.

Emily’s unlike any woman Derek has ever met or been attracted to. She’s pure, almost angelic, and even better, she’s never been touched.

Their romance becomes one of teacher and student. Emily is eager and willing to learn everything Derek has to teach her. Derek is willing to show Emily the world, one which includes everlasting love.

EmilyOnce again, he and I had the elevator to ourselves. After the door closed, I apologized for the gazillionth time. “I’m so sorry about the scene in the conference room. I didn’t mean for any of that to happen.” The flashback of the experience was just as bad, possibly worse.

“I’m glad it did. You did an excellent job today, Emily,” he raved. “You should be proud of yourself. The passion in your eyes while you shared your thoughts about the manuscript was evident to everyone sitting in the room. I found it absolutely intoxicating to see such desire.” He added his killer smile to his words of praise.

“That’s how I feel about books. I’m passionate about reading, and the fact I can actually be a part of the process from author to bookshelf is incredible. I’m so excited for the opportunity to work with Susan.” Luckily, my nerves had calmed to the point where my hands remained steady while I gently clapped them together in enthusiasm.

“And I’m happy to have you on board.”

I beamed with pride to hear him say such nice things about me.

And with that, the two of us stared at the metal doors in front of us, neither one of us speaking. It was an uncomfortably silence, the air suffocating. Shit, I had forgotten to speak to maintenance about the air situation in the elevators. My bad. Now I had no oxygen to inhale whatsoever, my lungs dying to take their next breath. It could be that the intense chemistry between us had depleted what little air we had left to breathe. It’s too bad the elevator didn’t have emergency oxygen masks like airplanes did. One might’ve been helpful about now.

I tried to think of something good to say, my body too afraid to move. And just when it came up with something, I turned to say it and found myself flush against the wall in the elevator with Derek’s tongue down my throat, my mouth openly giving him access while the rest of me screamed to push him away.

Holy shit!

What we were doing was so wrong, but at the moment I didn’t care, because Derek Dorian wanted me, yes, me. Besides, it was the hottest kiss I had ever experienced, his lips softer than I had imagined. The way his tongue took charge, a bit more domineering than any mine had ever played with. Mind you, I could count on one hand how many there had been. But my tongue loved every second of it.

His body caged mine, our movements desperate, frantic, as if we were long-lost lovers who had finally been reunited. We couldn’t press our bodies closer to one another if we tried, and yet, my mind and body ached for more, needing a deeper connection to him. The throbbing between my thighs became more intense as our kiss progressed, especially when he ground his hardness against me. Fuck my vibrator, I could tell Derek would satisfy me so much better. Screw that, beyond words better.

Shit. I couldn’t allow myself to have an orgasm from a kiss and simple rubbing. If I was being totally honest, suggestive, heat-induced, and mind-blowing better described our actions.

I melted into his touch. I’m talking pure goo, jelly in a jar. I held on to his arms, my legs too weak to keep me upright.

When she’s not managing her husband’s medical practice or taking care of her three kids, Faith Starr loves writing erotic romance fiction.

Faith is passionate about putting herself into the minds of her characters, giving them a life of their own with all of the emotions that go along with it. She is head over heels in love with each and every alpha male she creates and the confident women who steal their hearts.

Faith has found her passion writing in the romance genre. Creating heartfelt love stories has become key in giving her inner spirit the creative outlet it desires. She is a hopeless romantic, with a little spice, who truly believes in the “Once Upon a Time” and “Happily Ever After” ending.

From the first day I met Racer McKay, I knew our interaction was going to be incredibly brief. First impressions really do matter and unfortunately, I didn’t make a very good one.
At the time, I didn’t think much of it. I was never going to see this man again, right?
Wrong! When I’m met with the opportunity of a lifetime, there is only one man in the state of New York who can assist me. And can you guess who it is?
But what I don’t realize is he needs me just as much as I need him. I have money he’s desperate for, and he holds the key to making my dreams come true.
So, we reluctantly join forces.
Our pranks turn from sarcastic banter, to sexual tension and lust-filled glances. Bickering matches quickly morph into slow burn moments. We’re hot, we’re cold. We push and pull. I need him, I don’t want him. We’re on the verge of combusting with an agreement dangling dangerously between us. Neither one of us can afford to lose one another and yet, we’re finding it quite hard to decipher the line that rests between love and hate.

Excerpt:

“Thanks for lunch, I haven’t had a fine peanut butter and jelly sandwich in quite some time.” Racer takes a giant bite from one of three sandwiches I made him. The man can eat; I just want to know where he puts it all. “What is this, crunchy peanut butter?” He looks over the sandwich, studying it intently.
“Yes, it’s crunchy with mixed berry jam.”
He nods and takes another bite. He talks with his mouth full, which for some weird reason makes him oddly adorable. “Nice touch, George. The peanuts add a nice texture.”
“Are you going all food critic on my PB and J skills right now?”
Lifting his shirt, he dabs away some of the sweat that’s collecting on his forehead, beneath his backward hat. His abs flex with the movement, drawing my attention. Each divot calling out to me to touch, to examine . . . to lick.
“I think every human should be judged on their PB and J skills.”
I pull my eyes away from his stomach just in time not to get caught staring. “Why do you think that?”
“Because,” he takes another bite, “I think building a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is in everyone’s repertoire, but only the truly skilled know how to make a proper one. And I want to be friends with the truly skilled.”
“Is that so?” I take a drink of my green tea and study him for a second, watching the way the muscles in his jaw move with each bite and swallow. It’s sexy.
His neck is sexy? Is that possible?
“So where do I land on your scale of sandwich artists?”
He smiles from my term, and I realize how much I adore his boyish charm. Pulling his eyes away from me, he examines one of the sandwiches I made him and starts assessing it. “Good ratio of peanut butter to jelly. Nice choice in bread. The crunch you added has been a pleasant surprise, and the mixed berry jam is fucking delightful.” I giggle from his girly term. “But . . .”
I perk up; there’s a but? “But what?”
He quirks his mouth to the side, almost to say, “Sorry, but you’re not quite perfect.” “The bread, it should have been toasted. Toasting it would have taken you to boss level when it comes to the PB and J.”
“Toasting it?”
He nods and takes another bite. “When you don’t toast a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, the peanut butter and bread form a paste on the roof of your mouth. Even though it tastes good, it can get quite irritating.”
“But I didn’t have a toaster.”
“Rookie mistake.”
“Well, If I knew I was going to be critiqued, I would have sprung for bacon.”
He pauses mid bite and stares at me over his sandwich. “You’re a beast for bringing up the option.”
I polish off the rest of my sandwich and wipe my fingers. “Well, maybe next time you’ll communicate expectations better. I’m not a mind reader, Racer. Frankly, the fact I didn’t make boss level is on you, not me.”
I stand and gather my trash as he stares me down. “Don’t you turn this on me. You didn’t have a toaster. The toaster is what’s key. This is on you, Georgie. This is on you!” he calls out as I make my way to the back, laughing to myself the entire time.

Elijah took my hands. “Okay, look. Maybe you’re right. Maybe these people are taking this whole battle thing way too seriously. If you’re scared, then we’ll stop. No more posts except for appearance information.”

“So no more battle of the sexes, no more make Kris scream?”

He held up his hand. “Swear to God.”

“Okay.” I sighed in relief. “You’d really do that?”

He leaned closer and repeated the vow. “I promise, Kris.”

And just like that, I forgot why I was mad at him. I couldn’t talk, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t even blink because I was afraid he’d let go. This was the part of him I adored. I clung to him for a long moment, and when his gaze drifted to my mouth, I wondered if—hoped—prayed—he’d finally kiss me.

And then, Etta’s voice suddenly spoke inside my head. “Well, my God, darling, it’s the twenty-first century. What on earth are you waiting for? You can kiss him.”

I could. Yes. Yes, I could just lift my head and lean in and kiss Elijah Hamilton like it was a normal, ordinary occurrence.

Right. Like kissing Elijah Hamilton would ever be ordinary?

I’d watched him kiss that girl at the mall and was sure I’d memorized all the steps in his routine. He’d move in, grip my face between his hands, run his thumb along my jaw, and finally, glide his arm down around my body, pulling me against his own, all the while, peeking through his lashes to see if I enjoyed it.

I wasn’t sure when I decided—even what made me decide. I just touched my lips to his and waited.

It took a second or two. But then there was a sudden, tiny squeak from him, and I felt the pulse in his wrist leap under my fingertips.

And then, his hands were in my hair, angling my head just the way he liked it, his tongue brushing against mine, so soft it might have been my imagination…except imaginary kisses were never so intense. He kissed me like I was a song he wrote, lips wrapped around every word until it hummed with hidden meaning and promise, and his hands held me the way they held his guitar—like the music would stop if he let me go.

Patty Blount PicNative New Yorker Patty Blount is the award-winning author of several critically acclaimed internet issues novels for teens as well as a few adult contemporary romances. She is inspired to write by such greats as Judy Blume, JK Rowling, and Gayle Forman. In fact, Judy Blume is the reason Patty elected to write under her real name…so she’d appear on shelves next to her idol. Patty adores writing; she’s written everything from technical manuals to song lyrics (see THE WAY IT HURTS, coming August 2017). Patty wants you to know she loves chocolate…really, really loves chocolate.

When not crushing on actors Gilles Marini or Sam Heughan, Patty can be found sitting in traffic somewhere on the Long Island Expressway, listening to audio books or talking wildly to herself about plots and characters. Prone to falling madly in love with fictional characters, Patty suffers frequent broken hearts when they all invariably prefer the heroine to her… go figure. When she’s not writing, Patty loves to watch bad sci-fi movies and live tweet the hilarity, and scour Pinterest for ideas on awesome bookcases. Patty lives on Long Island with her family in a house that, sadly, lacks bookcases.
