The day Elijah took me, he vowed to tame me. I tried to fight him. Tried to survive without losing my heart. But in the end, he did what he said he’d do… tame me.
He claimed me so unapologetically, and I surrendered willingly. Together we found our place within the darkness. We succumbed to wicked desires and tainted intentions.
And with every kiss, every touch, I allowed myself to fall deeper. Drowning within the seduction of a killer’s obsession.
I was reckless. Blinded by the promises of a man who wanted nothing but me. I should have known better. Guarded my heart more fiercely. After all—nothing good can come from falling for the villain.

The legends are true.
The war between good and evil is real. Hell is real.
I’ve seen vampires and demons with my own eyes. They don’t show themselves to many, and the unfortunate few who come head-to-head with them rarely live to tell about it. I’m one of the lucky few.
But that’s only a piece of this story.
I’m Victoria English, a hunter living among mortals. More importantly, a fallen angel.
Why did I fall?
For love.
It was all a lie.

“Mike, I love you, but I’m promised to Niall. And in some ways, I love him, too. I agreed to marry him. I’m a girl of my word and don’t break my promises.” She moved a step away from me.
I couldn’t comprehend what she was saying.
It wasn’t sinking in.
“Wait, what do you mean by that?” I took a step toward her.
Callie put her hand out onto my chest to stop me from getting any closer. “What I mean, Mike… is that my wedding day is in two weeks. I have to go through with it whether I like it or not. I vowed to marry Niall. He loves me unconditionally, and I… well, I love him. Unlike you, he has been there for me these last two years.”
Fuck. My heart broke into tiny little pieces and shattered at my feet.
“You love him?” I whispered—they were only words I could focus on right then.
She nodded and let her hand fall from my chest to her side.
I took a step back and rubbed the back of my neck. “Is there anything I can do to make you change your mind and be with me?”
Callie simply shook her head and walked toward me. She leaned in, kissed my cheek, and then she walked past me and into the mansion, taking my heart with her.
I tried.
I tried, and I’d failed.
I’d lost my girl.
Forever.
What the fuck was I going to do now?

It’s been ten years since he left me with nothing but a pendant, a photo, and a broken heart. He was but a ghost, there one minute and gone the next. I picked myself up, dried my eyes, and built my life without him. Now he has come back into my life like a raging storm surrounded by crime and bloodshed. I no longer need him, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want him—or just a little taste…
Elio
Ten years ago, I had to leave behind the only light I had in my life. Without her, I live in darkness. I am not proud of the things I’ve done, nor the blood that’s been shed. Everything I did had been to protect her. We live by our code—family, power, loyalty, and protection. Our empire is built on the bones of our enemies. Now that she is back and we have a second chance, they will learn one way or another you do not touch my queen.
Capri Famiglia will rise to the top no matter the cost, bloodshed, or the lines that will have to be blurred.

EXCERPT:
Stripping down to just my bra and underwear, I slipped into the water and allowed myself to float, proud that I had finally learned to swim.
“I was beginning to think you were avoiding me.” His voice traveled across the water and vibrated through me. I ducked down, careful to keep my body underneath the water, so just my nose was above the surface. “It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen you here.” He peered into the hidey hole where we hid our notes and grinned. “I see you got my notes.”
“And you’re swimming.” He placed a hand over his heart playfully. “That hurts.”
I treaded water and tried to think of something to say as he dropped his jeans and waded into the water in just his boxers. He dipped under the surface and came up right in front of me.
His dark eyes seemed to be even more intense today, and I felt a jolt when I took a leap and stared into them. It was like someone poured a bucket of warm water over me.
“Sorry,” I whispered, and his eyes softened like he was happy I spoke. “Things have been hard, and I got a little…” I trailed off, unsure how to explain myself.
“Lost?”
“I think to be lost you need to have been found at some point,” I fought back an urge to cry. “I didn’t have a starting point. So…” I shrugged.
“I missed our notes.”
“Me too,” I confessed.
“But I missed you more.” He smiled sweetly. I admired that he could say what he wanted without a care.
His eyes flickered as something raced through his mind. I could feel his body language change.
“Do you trust me, Sienna?” I licked my lips and thought about his question. “You know me well enough to know I wouldn’t hurt you, right?”
I nodded because it was true. Elio had never said or done anything to hurt me in any way. In fact, he had cared for me over the years and never asked for anything in return. I felt like he knew me better than anyone else.
“May I take you to show you something?”

Or for the Promise of Passion and Love. . .

OPERATION AMETHYST is available now. Come and be swept up in this romantic saga set in the midst of the Vietnam War.
Elyse woke with the arm of the Captain around her waist, his hand resting on the curve of her hip. Her head laid on his chest. She made a sound that was more of a kitten’s mew.
Elijah looked down into her face. “Good morning, brat.”
Elyse’s sleep-fogged brain couldn’t comprehend his sarcasm, so she snuggled closer to his chest and sighed her contentment. Elyse’s eyes flew open when she realized her head lay on his chest and her proximity to him. She sat up, her hands splayed on the ground, and she stared into his gorgeous brown eyes. My breath. Her hand flew up to cover her mouth.
“I think I need a toothbrush,” she said.
~*~*~
He was stunned into silence as his eyes roamed her face, her tousled hair, loosened from her bun as she had slept, fell in soft waves to curl around the curves of her breast and hips. The cleavage she unknowingly displayed, and that delightful tiny mole on the top of her left breast. Her eyes, Purple? No, amethyst. Porcelain skin and pink pouty lips. He had never seen a more beautiful woman, and he shook his head to clear his thoughts. Focus man, focus.
He leaned over and grabbed his rucksack. Opening a side pouch, he pulled out a spare toothbrush still wrapped in clear plastic and handed it to her.
“I guess I came prepared.” He handed her his canteen. “It’s Kool-aid.” “You brush your teeth with Kool-aid?” she asked incredulously.
He gave a wry grin. “Not just any Kool-aid, grape Kool-aid. Fresh water when we can find it can be nasty. This covers the taste of the iodine pills we use to sanitize the water.”
He picked her bobby pins off his chest and the ground next to him and handed them to her. “You have ten minutes then we move out.”
“Seven men were ready within ten minutes. You took twice as long.” The Captain stated as she moved to pass him on the path.
“Girl. I had to brush my teeth, wash my face. Thank God Mountain had water. I had to fix my hair and eat another nasty C-ration. I thought I did pretty well.”
He grunted, rolling his eyes in response.
Leesa makes her home in the Twin Cities metro area with her husband and her two dogs Rosie and Jax.
When she isn’t writing she enjoys gardening, painting, and reading romance novels. She and her husband also enjoy movies, traveling, and entertaining their two grown children along with several beautiful grandchildren.
Leesa’s favorite romance authors are Kathleen Woodwiss, Christine Feehan, and Johanna Lindsey.
The book’s inspiration came one night from a dream about the characters, a song, and the story around them.

With death circling me, this is my best shot.
Alexa
I thought my life was settling down, falling into a routine. Boy, was I ever wrong. It only took one disastrous selfie sent to the wrong number and I caught the attention of Vincent Goodman.
Worse, I can’t let dear, sweet Vin find out that the scandalous photo sent to him was originally intended for his notorious older brother, Tristan Goodman. I also can’t let my older brother, Sam, discover I’m falling in love with his boss whom he is convinced will only bring me trouble.
Trouble does come for me.
Death has always circled me, forcing me to choose between the safe arms of family, or the man who is far more dangerous than any monsters.
Vincent
Meeting Tristan at the café turned into more than getting a cup of coffee. I didn’t expect to receive a sinfully hot photo from an unknown number, and I sure didn’t expect it to be from the shy barista.
While we form a relationship, unfortunately, I also begin to connect her brother to crimes happening within the restaurant. My business partners, Tristan and Mark, want to punish her brother Sam to the extreme. But calling for her brother’s head would cause me to lose Alexa’s heart.
Sam might be involved in more trouble than I am, and he’s endangering Alexa as well. I’m determined to keep Alexa alive and make her mine. I’m just not sure how, but I’m going to give it my best shot.

Instead, I calmly ask, “How are you?”
“Better.”
A nervous laugh escapes me. “Yeah, about to be a whole lot better, right? After a cup of coffee, everybody feels better.”
He crosses his arms and then leans on the counter toward me. His biceps bulging through his white shirt. The scent of cedar and clean soap reaches my nose, causing my body to involuntary lean toward him. He’s so handsome and alluring. Vincent Goodman isn’t the bad boy like his brother, but those eyes are so warm and sincere, combined with his powerful body, he seems more like the man who would take on the worst of the worst to save and protect you. I bet it would be heaven to have those arms wrapped around me while getting lost in his eyes. His lips turn up into an adorable smile as he says, “Or maybe, seeing your beautiful face brightened my day.”
Is it cheesy? Yes. Did I just swoon? Also, yes. Do I want to act like a middle school girl who’s crush just acknowledged he thinks she’s pretty, that the very sight of her, and I quote, brightened his day? An astounding yes. Cue internal freak out.
Now time to say something back. I straighten my shoulders and smile. “Lucky for you, here you can have both.” Wait, both what? My face? Cringe.
He looks at me with that panty-melting smile, while I want to drop to the floor and crawl away. At least that came out more confident than I felt saying it. It’s not a lie. He can have all the coffee and as much of ‘my face’ as he wants.
“I am indeed a lucky man, then.”
“What kind of coffee would you like?”
“Mocha cappuccino.”
“Anything else?” I say in one breath. What if he asks for my face? I should kiss him, then, right?
“How about your danish?”
“My…my what?” I blink.
Slowly, he lifts his hand and points at the glass case next to the register. His eyes never losing their contact with mine, “Your sweet danish. My mouth is watering at the thought of licking it down the center.”
Oh, sweet mother of all. My danish is now a soggy mess, and I’m pretty sure my heart stopped. What the fuck do I say to that? Quick, think up something flirty. Think up something hot and flirty and seductive and –

Gail Haris believes in fairytales, love, and laughter as the best medicine.
She was born and raised in a small town in the Midwest. After graduating with a degree in Mass Communications, Gail went on adventures traveling in America and Europe.
But her favorite adventures are the ones where she gets lost in a book.
Her love for reading and traveling lead her to attend book conventions. Those conventions gave her the encouragement she needed to combine her passion for creativity and storytelling. Using coffee and her imagination, she loves writing contemporary romances that blend laughter and true love out of every day chaos.
When Gail isn’t day dreaming in front of her computer, she’s busy raising her two daughters with the man of her dreams. She loves traveling with her family, binge watching television series with her husband, singing Disney songs with her daughters, and having huge family and friends get-togethers that involve lots of food and usually a cake.
She hopes by following her own dream of becoming an author, she can set an example to her daughters that dreams can become a reality. Maybe she can encourage you too.
Never stop believing in love, dreams, and yourself. And coffee…don’t give up on coffee and books 😉
