I absolutely loved the cover of this book! As soon as I saw it, I was intrigued. Then I read the synopsis and was even more intrigued. Alice is every woman trying to get her groove back and telling the tales of her journeys along the way. This almost seems comedic in the misadventures of Alice. From her getting a bicycle to going to the gym.

This is a fantastic start to what I hope will be a series! I can totally see Amy Schumer playing Alice if there was a TV show or movie made of Alice’s adventures.

Full disclosure, I’ve not read any of the previous books. I didn’t need to but I SO want to. Each of these couples has such a great story and I need to know all about them. You get enough of their stories without there being missed stories or jokes.

Before Beth starts the internship of her dreams, she’s going to have herself a one night stand. And she finds the perfect man in a bar away from her hometown. Things are going GREAT until his “girlfriend” shows up. Beth doesn’t need that and leaves.

Maverick is being sent back to an internship to prove he’s serious about the business. How funny is it when the girl he almost went home with is one of the other interns he’s supposed to compete against?

This story is great because you can imagine going out and picking up a one night stand and it being someone you least expect it to be.

Adam was a force of nature when he was out there on the field.
There was something almost animalistic in the way he reared his arm back,

This is definitely a book for YA lovers and lovers of Gossip Girl and Once Upon A Time. Now I’m not a huge GG fan but I have watched it. And I like my drama in books or on TV rather than in life so this worked perfectly. In reading this, you really get sucked in to the story and cliques of H.E.A.

Belle is a “peasant” who captures the eye of a “royal” but royals don’t associate with peasants. But Beast was into Belle and he wasn’t going to let petty class keep him from being with someone he likes. Belle can’t believe Beast is into her. He can have ANYONE but he wants to spend time with her.

This was a drama-filled trip back to high school. All I can say is thank goodness that I didn’t go to HEA, I’d never survive these people and drama!

Will goes back to his job, still thinking about the sassy redhead in the park. He gets a call from his daughter’s school about her behavior. Being a good, divorced dad, he heads to her school and what do you know, there’s the spicy redhead who is teaching his daughter in theater science. So what better way to spend time with his daughter than to help the new teacher with the play??

This was full of snort-laughing moments and crazy shenanigans!

Have I mentioned that I love Lori Foster’s novels? Her series’, her characters, her writing have always captured me since I was a teen sneaking her books. Every one of her fighters has been larger than life but also the sweetest and that is what makes me fall in love with each of them and their stories.

After we met Justice in Under Pressure, I knew he was my guy. At least more than Leese was. And how right I was! and putting out the cheese tray I’d purchased earlier that day.

When Jordan joined us in the living room, my friends fell
silent, everyone but Lucy staring at him. Quickly I introduced everyone.

Lucy interrupted our juvenile argument before it could get
out of hand. “Jordan, I’m putting together a series of portraits for
my next show and I would love it if you would sit for me.”

I was DYING for Tanya’s story! Both in Lucy and Yancy’s stories, we get a taste of Tanya but not nearly enough. And in this story, the ladies are just as rowdy and crazy as normal but still so dang loveable. Lucy’s story is still my favorite of the 3 but Tanya’s is second. Sorry Yancy.

Tanya had a great months-long booty call (at least how they both defined it) 2 years ago. And she fell for Jordan then. But it was a temporary thing and he moved away to NYC, so she bucked up and moved on. Except she hasn’t found a replacement because she was still twisted up about Jordan. Imagine her surprise when Jordan is the newest partner in the law firm she works at.

And that’s where this review ends. If you’ve read the other 2 stories, you know Tanya is sassy and isn’t going to take Jordan’s reappearance lying down, or is she? 😉

Ben & Grace’s story is amazing! Ben’s love is so deep and lasting. You just want to hope you find a love like it. It’s just so deep and palpable. You can feel it as you’re reading their story. And the writing conveyed how devastated and heartbroken Ben truly was, was on point! I was close to tears as I read it and almost cheered in my cubicle when Ben thinks he’s found her.

I haven’t had to lose a love like Ben & Grace’s (thankfully) so I can’t imagine the pain, sheer agony Ben (or anyone) in that situation can feel but this story made me feel it. Ben and Grace’s story is so amazing and I couldn’t imagine having to go through all they had. But it definitely proves that love can conquer all.

My mind crafts a picture of his blond head between my legs and I shift in my seat. “You heard the part about there being no sex on this trip, right?”

“Yeah, but that was before you started objectifying me.”

I’m going to strangle him. “You’re the one prancing around naked. I know you’re an exhibitionist and all, but you can pack it away for a week. I don’t need to see it.”

“Fine.” He sits back and takes a drink. “But since I showed you mine, it’s only fair that…”

“Forget it,” I laugh, and he smiles at me.

“Just the boobs?”

“Nope.”

“You’re no fun.”

I devoured this series! Why had I not read S.M. Shade before?! I was having a bad day and had Worth It (that S.M. co-wrote) and LOVED it. So then I was very excited to start this series. And I am anal about what I read and have to read books in order. So I had 2 more books to read prior to this but OMG was that such a great decision! This series is quite amazing. I love all the guys relationships and how they all tease each other but they truly love each other.

And through both books 1 & 2, I was so curious about stripper (oops exotic dancer) Justus. I knew there would be something deeper to how he is the way he is. And the tension between him and Sadie. And just how he was so willing to leap to Sadie’s defense and to be her friend, when she needed it the most.

I can’t wait for more of this series!!
