I feel like this could be me with trying to find out who some of my favorite and unknown authors are. Not to expose or to fall in love, but just to know. But I’m nosy by nature.

This also made me think of Alias for some reason. I think it was the subterfuge (LOVE that word) that went on to try and figure out who the illusive author was. Although I did almost hate Killian for what he was doing when Kate was just trying to be a writer and live in anonymity. Which you really can’t blame her for.

This was a great story and I thought of Killian as Hook from Once Upon a Time. At least that’s why I love Killian’s name. Anyway, by the end, you’re rooting for Killian and Kate and for them to make it work!

This genre is RIGHT up my alley! For some inexplicable reason, I like when the Hero or Heroine has some sort of disability and they have a physical therapist, assistant, helper that they fall for. This book was recommended to me because it fit the bill and this review tour came up at the same time this was recommended. It was fate!  
Jensyn is a former model who after an attack has a scar on her face that is MUCH bigger in her mind than in actuality. So much so that she’s closeted herself away so people can’t see her and what she feels is her “ugly scar”. Sadly, this is mostly in Jensyn’s head. Jensyn’s therapist asks her for a favor, for her to check on his brother who suffered an accident and is blind.  
Lincoln is a former daredevil who was blinded during an accident. Lincoln is only 25 but has basically shut himself off. Sound familiar? Jensyn recognizes traits and thoughts in Lincoln that she has had herself and is doing her best to help him (and herself) heal from their “disabilities”.  
This will definitely be a re-read for me. It was a great story and like I said, it was in a genre I love!

“Not a mark on the car.”

Shane turned and walked back to where Sinclair stood with her skirt caught in the car door. “Or you?”

Her chin came up as he drew near. “That goes without saying.”

“Does it?” He dropped his gaze, and took a slow tour of some territory he’d once been intimately familiar with, starting at her bare shoulders and continuing to where satiny skin disappeared beneath blue silk. “I remember finding some extremely creative places to leave marks.” He ran his finger along the neckline of her dress. “So you wouldn’t get in trouble. You didn’t need to be as cautious with me.”

“I”—she broke off and swallowed—“I don’t remember…”

Oh, yeah. She remembered. He took the gift bag out of her hand and set it on the roof of the Mercedes. “I’ll let you in on a little secret, Sinclair.”

“What?” The word barely qualified as a whisper.

“I’m still extremely creative.” With that, he dropped to his knee, and peered behind her.

Her hand smacked his shoulder. “What are you doing?”

“Seeing if I can find a creative solution to your little predicament.” The position gave him an up-close look at the tangle of her skirt in the car door, the torn seam that rendered the dress un-wearable—he turned his head slightly—aaand the tiny, lacy, black panties that left mouthwatering portions of her ass bare to his view. Without doing any sort of motive check, he let his cheek brush the smooth flesh.

Muscles quivered in response. The hand on his shoulder switched to the top of his head, but she didn’t push him away. He trailed his lips across her thigh, automatically following the line of her panties where it hugged her hip and arrowed around front.

Her shuddery exhale triggered his inhale. Her scent stormed his senses, achingly familiar, and dangerously arousing. The molecules infiltrated his brain, coated the back of his throat, and left him dizzy from need. Balancing before her on both knees, taking a hip in each hand, he slowly closed in on the sheer triangle covering the prize.

“Shane…”

He took another hungry inhale. The tip of his nose skimmed the lace. “Yes?”

Those slim fingers slid down until her palm cupped the back of his head. Her thighs parted.

“Ye—”

A car alarm shattered the silence and broke the spell lust and memories had woven around them. She jerked away, shoved her skirt down, and glared at him. “That’s not part of our deal.”

He stood, intentionally taking up the space she’d tried to carve out for herself. “Don’t kid yourself, Sinclair. That’s always been part of our deal.”

This is one of my favorite types of stories; the Hero comes back to his small town and realizes that the girl who got away still holds his interest. Or when the heroine is the one who leaves and comes back.

Shane (one of my favorite male names) went away to the Marines 10 years ago to make something of himself. He was leaving the small town behind and Sinclair. Sinclair is over Shane and has been for the 10 years he’s been gone. Right? RIGHT?!

Hot times, alpha goodness. What more can you expect from Samanthe Beck?

The front door opened. I expected a housekeeper or butler, but it was the actor himself.

We went through the living room to a smaller room with a pool table smack in the middle. It had a stained glass Budweiser lamp over it and was racked for nine-ball. Dora Donovan had nothing to do with this room, for sure.

“Wanna sit?” He held a chair out for me. The glass-topped table was just inside the open patio doors and was set with iced tea.

I sat.

“I’m not a date,” I said kindly, indicating the iced tea setup. “Just so you know. You don’t have to do things like hold the chair for me.”

“Habit, I guess.”

He sat opposite me.

“Chivalry is nice. But with the nanny, whomever you hire, it can be misconstrued.”

He smirked a little, as if misconstruing his own thoughts. I cleared my throat and pulled my jacket closed.

This was a sweet story about a nanny and the single dad. Except dad is a Hollywood star and the nanny couldn’t care less about it. She just wants to do right by his daughter even if he’s hot and makes her think inappropriate thoughts.  

I do have to say I really enjoyed Cara and her opinion. I love that she was willing to tell Brad when he’s being less than stellar as a dad, regardless of how she was attracted to him. She only wanted the best for Nicole and didn’t care about the glitz, glamour or popularity of being in a Hollywood household.  

I really can’t wait for more of this series and the other characters. I just know they’re going to have great stories!!

CD Reiss is a New York Times bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn’t pick up she’s at the well hauling buckets.

Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master’s degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.

She’s frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn’t ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.

After reading Love, I needed more of Zoe and Morgan’s story. Yes a lot happened to them but I just needed a goodbye to them and their friends and families.  


This story starts 9 years after the end of Love, so Zoe and Morgan are married and living happily. Or so it seems. But things are happening to both Zoe and Morgan that just might change that.  


And that’s ALL I’m saying. READ THEIR STORY!!!!

Good gracious I love Josh! He’s cocky (haha, see what I did there?) but he’s sincere and sweet. And conscientious. While his “hobby” isn’t the most conventional, his reasons for doing it are. He doesn’t want people to find out the D from the website is in fact him, the son of a prominent local family.

Evie is the lawyer who answers his call and both she and he are curious and fascinated by the other. Josh by Evie’s voice and Evie because of his hobby and his D. Immediately, they spark a friendship that both want to go further. But Evie can’t because he’s her client. But they do have some powerful chemistry. And their story is funny and sweet and can be something that happens IRL. Lawyers aren’t supposed to get involved with their clients but the heart wants what it wants.

An amazing collaboration between these two authors that I hope leads to more in the future!!

In reading the description, this made me think of The Wedding Date. If you haven’t seen that movie, do. Dermot Mulroney!! Need I say more?

Anyway, Ruby is a PR manager to YouTube and Instagram child sensations. She’s rushing through the airport to make it to her BFF’s destination wedding and runs into Will. The Will she knew in college and was in love with. The Will who broke her heart and she’s never talked to him since. Seems he’s part of the same wedding party. Dang it!

This was a laugh to read. It was funny in almost like a Bridesmaids (the movie way). You can see these things happening but you really wouldn’t expect them to happen to you. Either way, it’s funny period. And wasn’t quite the plotline I expected which is always a good thing!

Ok I need a Justin Lockhart. Well any of the Lockhart men will do! He’s a small-town, grass-fed, gentleman. He meets Elle Tyler on the worst day of her life, but he rescues her from it. And he can’t stop thinking about her and want to make sure she’s ok – regardless of who she is.

Elle has been a singer/dancer/star for basically her life. At the age of 24, she’s used to the touring, paparazzi (or paparazzo) and the stage life. She’s not ready for what happened to her but she’s thankful for Justin saving her.

And thus starts their story that has many twists and turns but consumed me as soon as I started it. I just love the Lockharts and Justin is no different!

Emmy has saved up to go to London and meet her BFF there. She’s working at a cafe at Wimbledon to help finance her months in England and trip home. Emmy is quite turned around and doesn’t know where she’s going a lot. She is told to take something to the manager’s office and ends up in a locker room with the playboy of tennis, Charlie. Although she doesn’t know it.

Charlie is showering, comes out and there’s a gorgeous lady waiting for him who appears not to know him. He asks for a good luck kiss and oh does Emmy lay one on him. So much so that Charlie can’t stop thinking about her.

Now Emmy is the new girl of the playboy of tennis who is also a prince. And getting chased around by paparazzi is now in her repertoire.

A funny, believable story even if I’m not a tennis person. Not much tennis too involved so I wasn’t lost.

“So, you came here to what, let loose?” I ask suggestively, lust hanging from the tip of my tongue.

She looks up through hooded eyes, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.

Taking a small step, I invade her space. Using my finger, I tuck it firmly under her chin making her look me in the eyes. God, she’s so fucking soft to touch, my hands itch to take advantage of her body and soul. That’s what I do, I devour innocent women, and scar their souls to the point they’re damaged goods.

“Were you going to fuck one of my men tonight, Alessandra?” I ask hastily.

Her throat bobs as she swallows, fire igniting her eyes as she pulls away. She’s a pistol and not the kind you love and shine every day with care. More like the kind you’re scared to use because it may backfire on you at any minute.

“So what if I was? Why do you care?” She raises a challenging brow, her voice sharp. A burning sensation combusts in my chest thinking about her riding one of my guy’s dicks.

“I forbid you to open your legs to any of my brothers, do you understand?” My rash decision comes from an unknown place. An insatiable hunger beading at the tip of my dick.

Her jaw drops, and her hands curl into fists.

“Who do you think you are to dictate who I screw?” she scowls.

My temples pound with annoyance and anger, done with this back and forth.

Leaning down my lips a hair’s length away from her face, I intimidate her to the point she looks away and purses her lips.

“Maybe you didn’t get the memo, Blue Bird, but now that Zeek is playing daddy… I run this fucking city. Therefore, I say who you fuck, and don’t fuck.”

Her chocolate eyes snap to mine, and I know I have her full attention. Which I want, I want her to look at me, to really see me. All of me.

This story was just as dark as you expect an MN Forgy MC to be. You need to read the first 2 books in the series first before you delve in to Alessandra & Felix’s story.

Alessandra is Jillian’s best friend and fellow cop with LVPD and doesn’t like how much leeway the Sin City Outlaws get. Felix is Zeek’s VP and isn’t tolerant of cops. AT ALL. So of course there’s going to be something there since hate is love’s evil sister right?

But this story is so much more. It immediately starts out dark and shocking. And then it eases up some but then everything is wrapped up and makes TOTAL sense.

I love MN Forgy’s books, dark or not because they’re raw and they’re real and they invoke such emotion!
