Review Tour ~ Tempting Love ~ by ~ Kelly Elliott
Can a woman actually make you feel like you’re losing your damn mind?
Yes.
If she is Corina Miller.
The only woman who has ever made me long for something more, and let me tell you, that has me all kinds of messed up. After months of ignoring my feelings, it’s clear to me I’ve fallen for those piercing blue eyes and sexy smile.
But is it too late?
Have I pushed her into the arms of someone else?
Hell no am I letting that happen.
I’m on a mission to win the heart of the only woman I’ve ever cared about—and the only thing standing in my way is one stubborn and pissed off Corina.
I always did like a challenge.

I followed him, my hands shaking as I grew angrier by the second. “That’s it? You’re going to let me move out?”
Mitchell reached for his keys, then turned to me. “I can’t force you to stay here, Corina. If you’re unhappy, then yes, you should leave. Do I want you to? No, I don’t. I know I fucked up, but if you’re going to throw it in my face every goddamn chance you get, then you’re right, this won’t work.”
He headed to the stairs that led down to his front door. My heart raced, and I knew I couldn’t leave it like this. Closing my eyes, I called out to him. “Mitch! You never asked me to the Pecan Street Honky Tonk.”
Stopping, he looked back up at me. “What?”
I swallowed hard and took in a quick breath. “The dance, you never asked me. And well, Lane asked me.”
Sadness swept over his face. “What did you tell him?”
Wringing my hands together, I answered, “I haven’t responded…yet. I was waiting for you.”
Mitchell rushed back up the steps and stopped in front of me. I don’t think I’d ever felt my stomach dip like it did when he raced toward me. He cupped my face and leaned in. My chest rose and fell with each breath as I waited for him to speak. His touch sent a flurry of butterflies through my chest.
“Corina, will you go with me to the street dance next weekend?”
My teeth sank into my lip, and I watched as his eyes filled with lust.
“Yes.” I smiled and added, “But only as friends.”
The corner of his mouth rose into a sexy smirk. God, how I loved that smile of his. “It’s a date, then.”
“As friends,” I added.
He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine. Before I could even process his lips, they were gone and he was stepping back. “I’ll take it. For now.”

Another type of show I don’t really watch are the home improvement shows or the DIY shows. I’m just not crafty and those shows just point it out more to me. However, this story is about a home improvement show but it’s one I actually like since the TV show is more in the background.
Spencer and Brooke were about to get married – like almost walking down the aisle – when Brooke leaves Spencer. She doesn’t say anything, just takes off. That was 5 years ago. Spencer is still hurt and Brooke is still broken-hearted, even though she’s the one who walked away.
Fast forward 5 years, Spence is trying to buy this mansion he’s always loved but it’s a huge undertaking to get it renovated. So a deal is made and Spence now has to work on renovating a bar in town with none other than his ex-fiancée as the Project Manager.
That’s just the bare bones of the story. There’s SO much more that happens and twists and turns plus the Man of the Month contest.

Blog Tour & Review ~ Runaway Groom ~ by ~ Lauren Layne
that matters after a drunken bet lands him on Jilted, a reality TV show that
matches runaway grooms with wannabe brides. Now he’s stuck at a Hawaiian resort
with nineteen women competing to drag him back to the altar—and one contestant
who’s even more miserable than he is. Gage has no idea how feisty, independent
Ellie Wright wound up in the cast, but it’s obvious she hates his guts. And if
there’s one thing Gage likes, it’s a challenge. . . .
glorified bikini contest. Still, she could use the exposure—her business is
struggling—and she’ll probably be one of the first to get eliminated anyway.
But Gage isn’t the shallow jerk Ellie anticipated—and he’s in no rush to send
her home. As stolen kisses turn into secret trysts, she finds herself losing
track of what’s real and what’s for the camera. With the wedding finale
looming, this runaway groom is tempting Ellie to start believing in storybook
endings.
Ok I don’t like the show The Bachelor or any of the offshoots. I just don’t. This book is based off a Bachelor-type show except this one is featuring a Runaway Groom – hence the title…
Gage is less than thrilled to being the “bachelor” on this reality show, but a bet is a bet and he’s going to do this show – much as he doesn’t want to. He’d rather not be a spectacle on tv and have all these women “fighting” for him.
Ellie is only a contestant on this show for one reason and it’s NOT to land herself the runaway groom – even if he is a gorgeous movie star. So she’s trying to do whatever she can to get sent home. Except Gage is finding Ellie useful and keeps her around.
For someone who doesn’t like The Bachelor and those type of shows, this was a very enjoyable read!

protector and my confidant because he accepts me the way I am—and not
many do. I can’t imagine not having him in my life.
Our weekend
together was supposed to be a celebration. I graduated from college,
Graham got engaged and signed with a pro football team, and my brother
landed his dream job. It should have been the best time of our lives.
Except that the weekend started with me walking in on Graham’s fiancée going down on my brother.
I
complicated the situation by having sex with Graham after that, but I
wanted to comfort him and, damn, when I saw desire in his eyes—for me—I
couldn’t say no. I’ve wanted him for so long.
Now he doesn’t want to see me. He says he has a darker side he needs to protect me from.
Where do we go from here? Do I try to pretend to be his friend again or push him to open up to me and possibly lose him forever?
Graham
Sleeping
with one of my best friends was not exactly a brilliant idea. It made
things complicated, and I didn’t do anything that threw my life into
chaos. The fiancée her brother Jack, had stolen had been part of my
life plan, one more step I was taking to be somebody. Granted, I hadn’t
been in love with my intended bride, but I didn’t really know how to
love anybody.
I survived.
I pushed to achieve more.
I battled my way to the top of the heap in my pro football career..
I’m a total dick, and I don’t want Lauren to see the side of me that would trample over anybody to work my way up in the world.
Lauren
sees me as a hero, a title I’d never gain with anybody else in my life,
so I wanted to keep her sheltered from the hard realities of my life. I
wanted her to continue to think I was a nice guy when I was really just
the opposite.
We never should have crossed the line of going from friends to lovers.
There’s
too much Lauren doesn’t know about me, and I care enough about her that
I don’t want her to share my pain and the darkness that never sees
daylight inside me.
I want her, but she’s a woman I can never have. She’s too smart, too sweet, and way too good for a guy like me.
Unfortunately, pushing her away becomes much more difficult than I’d planned…

I love a good sports romance and this was definitely a great one! Yes there’s sports and it’s best friend’s little sister but it’s more than that.
Graham, Lauren and Lauren’s brother Jack, have been friends since they were kids. Graham was always just another brother to Lauren. Yes he was very attractive but he was her best friend and she loved him as such.
Lauren has always been Graham’s little Peanut – genius, adorable and one of the few people to know the real him, not the NFL QB. He loves his Peanut – even if she gets him hot and bothered.
A great collaboration by 2 amazing authors that I love individually!

SAY YOU’LL REMEMBER ME is now available at all fine book retailers. Grab your copy today!
SAY YOU’LL REMEMBER ME Synopsis:
“Doesn’t matter who did it. Not anymore. I did the time. It’s over.”
When Drix was convicted of a crime–one he didn’t commit–he thought his life was over. But opportunity came with the Second Chance Program, the governor’s newest pet project to get delinquents off the streets, rehabilitated and back into society. Drix knows this is his chance to get his life back on track, even if it means being paraded in front of reporters for a while.
Elle knows she lives a life of privilege. As the governor’s daughter, she can open doors with her name alone. But the expectations and pressure to be someone she isn’t may be too much to handle. She wants to follow her own path, whatever that means.
When Drix and Elle meet, their connection is immediate, but so are their problems. Drix is not the type of boy Elle’s parents have in mind for her, and Elle is not the kind of girl who can understand Drix’s messy life.
But sometimes love can breach all barriers.
Fighting against a society that can’t imagine them together, Drix and Elle must push themselves–Drix to confront the truth of the robbery, and Elle to assert her independence–and each other to finally get what they deserve.

EXCERPT:
Hendrix
“Everyone says you have a blank slate.” My brother Axle sits beside me on the ground, arms resting on his bent knees, and he stares at the bonfire I built with my own two hands with only flint and sticks. It’s one of the many tricks I learned over the last three months. That and how to survive on my own in the middle of nowhere.
Trees and bears I can handle. It’s not knowing who I can trust, now that I’m home, that’s the problem. Axle knows this. It’s why he’s next to me as our friends and family walk around the backyard for the impromptu “Welcome Home” party I told Axle I didn’t want.
Someone in this yard is the reason why I spent a year away from home for a crime I didn’t commit.
My neck tenses, and I roll it in an attempt to release the anger. It took me close to eight months to find some Zen, and it has taken less than thirty minutes for some of the old underlying rage that followed me around like a black thunderhead to return.
Across from us, two girls I used to go to school with are roasting marshmallows. They’re waiting for me to talk to them. That’s who I was before: the smooth talker, the guy who made girls laugh and caused them to light up with a few specially chosen words. The right smile dropped at the right time, and panties would be shed. But I don’t feel up for conversation and I don’t feel like manipulating anyone anymore.
Crazy—I used to thrive when surrounded by people. The more, the better. But after being in juvenile detention for seven months and spending three in the wilderness taking part in an Outward Bound program for troubled teens, I’m more at ease by myself in front of a fire.
“They’ve all confirmed you’re walking out of all this with sealed records,” Axle continues.
Hel’s leaving out the part of how those records only remain sealed if I uphold my end of the plea deal—the agreement I made with the district attorney after I was arrested. I agreed to plead guilty, and the DA didn’t charge me as an adult and send me to hard-core prison. Considering we had no money for a lawyer to help prove my innocence, the deal sounded like the better of two bad options.
“You’re getting a massive second chance,” Axle says.
It was rotten luck that got me into this mess, but it happened at the right time. Our governor was searching for screwed-up teens to use for his pilot program. Someone high up in the world thought I stood a chance at turning my life around, but that second chance comes with a price. A price my brother is currently breaking down for me.
“This is a good thing. A blank slate. Not many people get one of those.”
Blank slate. That’s what I’m scared of. I may not have liked parts of the person I was before I was arrested, but at least I knew who I was. This blank slate, this chance to create someone new, scares me. This is a new type of pressure. At least I had a good excuse for being a delinquent before. Now, if I mess up, it’s because I’m truly broke.
The fire crackles then pops, and embers rise into the late May night. My younger sister laughs at the other end of the narrow yard near the aging shotgun house, and the sound is like an eight-eight beat with a high hat cymbal. It’s welcomed, and it’s the first time this feels like home.
She’s sixteen now, grown up faster than I’d prefer, and she’s one of the four people I love more than my own life. She’s also the only reason I’m still out here instead of holed up in my room. According to Axle, it was Holiday’s idea to set up the party.
Old Christmas lights are strung from one towering oak tree to the next, zigzagging green, red and blue across the yard. Most people brought their own chairs and a dish to share. My first meal as a free man and it’s hamburgers, hot dogs and potato salad. I don’t have the heart to tell her I would have given my left ball for a slice of thick crust pizza.
“She missed you,” Axle says, catching my train of sight.
“I missed her, too.” Those are my first words since we pulled in the driveway. I used to be the life of the party, but that was before, and as I said, I don’t know who I am anymore, so for now, I’m quiet.
“I missed you,” he says in such a low tone I barely catch it. “We weren’t the same without you.”
I take a deep breath because I’m not sure any of us will be the same again.
I have not read Katie McGarry before. I have been told to read her MULTIPLE times, by different people and after getting sucked in to Drix and Elle’s story, I see exactly why!! Even though I don’t usually read YA books, this was totally perfect for me!!
Hendrix aka Drix, is fresh out of juvenile detention and into the Governor’s Second Chance Program – which is a rehabilitative program for juvenile offenders. While on his way to the press conference to announce his participation, Drix meets gorgeous Elle and helps protect her from a couple creeps.
Elle, as the Governor’s daughter, has always done what she’s been told and what is for the good of her father’s campaign. When she meets Drix, she sees the good in him, even if he’s part of her father’s program.
And that’s ALL I’m saying! You have to read this whole story and read about Elle and Drix and the events they go through.

Blog Tour & Review ~ Mend ~ by ~ Chelle Bliss
From USA Today bestselling author Chelle Bliss comes a feel-good, sexy second-chance STANDALONE romance.
Six years ago, the only girl I ever loved moved away.
She said she’d come back to me.
She promised she’d write.
She swore she’d always be mine, but Evie Bailey lied.
Now, Evie’s back, and this time, I’m not letting her go without a fight.
Before senior year, I was forced to move away, leaving behind the only boy I ever loved.
He said he’d love me forever.
He promised nothing would tear us apart.
He swore he’d wait for me, but Jack Nelson lied.
Now, Jack wants to make me his again, but he may never be able to forgive my sins.
First of all, READ THE FOREWORD! It is just so moving! So know that going in.
This story wasn’t like other Chelle Bliss stories I’ve read, but it was phenomenal in it’s own, sweet, second-chance love way! And some angst but it won’t break you. And it’s an HEA so no cliffhangers for those who might be worried about that.
Jack as a teenager is adorable! He’s loved Evie since he saw her. She was his even before she “officially” was. And Jack and Evie together are just so sweet! You want someone to love you just like they love each other. Until 6 years ago when they ended up breaking up.
Evie is back in town and Jack just happens to be in town also. Yes they both have some explaining to do but they still have that HUGE magnetic pull between them. There’s so many things working against them but their chemistry is just too hard to break, even after 6 years.
You will finish this with a satisfied book hangover. It’s sweet, bumpy at times, but definitely makes you believe that a good love can conquer all.

Review ~ About That Kiss ~ Jill Shalvis
Another Heartbreaker Bay favorite! This series is just so great to me. There’s friendships, relationships, animals, alcohol and it’s in San Francisco – which is very close to where I live. So it’s totally easy for me to imagine this place that sorta looks like the Melrose Place set up; open courtyard, fountain, etc.
Joe is the definition of tall, dark, strong and handsome. At least how I envision him. And Kylie is gorgeous in her own understated way that Joe sees. They shared a kiss but after lack of contact, Kylie has written it and Joe off. Except now she needs his help and he’s the best person for the job – even though he tries to keep her out of helping.
I cannot express just how much I love these characters and the community of Heartbreaker Bay. They’re like one big family who love and care for each other but also can get on each other’s nerves as only close friends and family can do.
Another series to re-read when I need a good, sweet, funny story!
5 stars!
Review Tour~ xo, Zach ~ by ~ Kendall Ryan
The first time we met was at a party.
Your ex arrived to show off the person he’d left you for last month, and you asked me to pretend to be your date.
I was more than happy to help. You were attractive, smart and witty–and that kiss we shared? It left me wanting you for days.
The second time we met was in my office on campus where we were both surprised to discover you were the new master’s degree student in poetry that I would be working with. You promised to be professional. I did no such thing.
The late nights and intense study sessions spent alongside you majorly throw me off my game. I want you, and I fight with myself daily over this fact.
I know I’m crass, that my sexual innuendos and dirty mouth annoy you, but I live for those two bright spots of color in your cheeks. If that’s the only reaction I can get out of you, I’ll gladly take it.
You hate Mondays so every Monday I slip an anonymous poem into your bag and your smile gets me through the week.
I think I’m falling for you, and I know it’s wrong. I know that I’m only supposed to be your adviser and nothing more, but here’s the thing. I think you’re falling for me too.
xo, Zach

This story was perfect! I loved Zach and his romantic nature mixed with cocky. Definitely a treat! And his crazy mom! I love when there are inappropriate parents and grandparents!
And Poppy! She was such a real character! Wanting Zach but being worried that he’s her advisor.
A great story, that I will definitely re-read. I read this almost completely in 1 sitting. I just had to read more Zach!
