I was so excited for this book and the start of this series and it did NOT disappoint. Kieran and Leona are both so strong and smart and sassy that of course they would strike sparks off each other. They’re both the leads (or almost) of their families’ so they aren’t strangers to the mafia/crime family lifestyle.

Personally I love reading a mafia/crime boss who is tough AF but is a marshmallow to the person/family in their life – confession: I started to put male boss and marshmallow to the woman in their life but hey, this is 2020, women can be the boss!

Kieran and Leona have some uphill battles coming in this series. I can see it already. This book ends with a cliffhanger but not the one you’d expect. And that’s all I’m saying. I can’t wait to read more about the DeAngelo and Bravado families!

I love a good accidental marriage book! Especially when it’s a drunken night in Vegas (although I guess that’s the only accidental marriage that could happen….) Anywho, Carrie and James are our couple that after an evening of drinking and crossing off items off a scavenger list, things inadvertently happen as they do.

Carrie wakes up, startled with the ring and marriage certificate (who wouldn’t be?) but goes back to her job in Tahoe. Only to find out the new owner/boss of the hotel she works as is her new husband. Can we say oops?

James has been looking for Carrie, his accidental bride, to no avail. Funnily enough, she’s one of his employees! How perfect because he isn’t quite so sure he wants the annulment that she seems to. He wants to show Carrie they have chemistry.

This was a funny, quick read for me. I was able to read it last night before bed – hence this later review…. It was a great read before bed 🙂

My guilty pleasure are wolf shifter romances! And Ghost is one of the good ones! Once he meets Mac, he knows she’s it for him. She is his mate. And Mac, even though she’s not a shifter, knows that Ghost is something significant for her.

Ghost and his plans to settle down and getting together with Mac are so swoony. He goes from loner to family man within days. Suddenly he’s willing to put down ties, potentially belong to a pack and just settle down. It’s great to see someone on Mac’s side, which she desperately needed!

This book was so relevant to the times now with the revenge video posted by an ex. And the popularity of a blogger – or vlogger as I guess Elle is.

Besides the usual hilarity of an Emma Hart novel – there’s a peek of one of my FAVORITE past Emma Hart characters – not telling who, just that I loved said character. And little scheming Ari and the Krazy Krazy Krew. I’ve never met any such Krew but I’m sure there are people like them who exist. And then there’s Theo, who went from growly, grump to a great friend (and more) to Elle.

This had such a positive, underlying message and I’m so glad that Elle’s situation turned out the way it did. Definitely wish some vloggers were like that rather than the drama.

I tug at my favorite blue T-shirt, slightly embarrassed. I’m normally on my A-game when it comes to women, and this one seems to be besting me. “One track mind it seems,” I mutter.
“So it seems. By the looks of it, you were doing something you probably shouldn’t be doing.” She looks almost too innocent to trust, so I can’t help flipping the switch on my other skill. A slow grin, one I’ve been told countless times is sexy as sin, slides across my face. Cocking my head slightly, I wink at her. Lowering my voice, just slightly, I say, “How’s your day going?”
She stares. Her eyebrows pinch together, and she cocks her head slightly. “Did you just smolder?”
My face falls, and I feel … out of place. Am I in an alternate universe? Since when did my smolder not work on the opposite sex? Not only did it not affect the pixie, but she also called me out on it. Is my smolder broken?
My thoughts are interrupted by an amused giggle. “Let me guess, that usually works on the ladies?”
“Yeah, I think I might be broken.” I can’t keep the pout out of my tone.
More giggles from Blondie.
“How about you try introducing yourself? Maybe I have to get to know you before the smolder is effective on me.”
Uh, maybe she’s right. I’m going to have to work my magic later on some random chick to ensure I haven’t lost my smolder mojo.
Shaking off the confusion, I get my head back into the game. “Hi, I’m Ryker Stone.”

Zella is so awesome! Ryker thinks so too 🙂 Zella is delightfully quirky and I love her! She wasn’t able to be a “normal” student so now that she is entering University, she is ready to start living!

Ryker is used to being more behind the scenes and more of a sneaky guy – you find out why – and so he is completely intrigued by the excitable and vivacious Zella. He knows that he isn’t good enough for Zella but he still wants to do anything he can for her.

This was such a great, funny read and I truly loved the ride that Zella and Ryker took us on. Zella was such a great character to read and experience with her refreshing view and energy. Her energy just leapt off the page (well kindle but whatever).

Oh I needed Rian’s story so much!! She has intrigued me since book 1! Which, how do you say her name – Ryan, Ree-Ann? I’ve said both in my head as I read but I couldn’t decided which it was. Tell me which you think it’s pronounced like. Or if you know.

Anyway, Rian and Dylan’s story really needs to be read after the other stories but definitely after book 2 since this book picks up immediately where 2 left off. I mean immediately. Well maybe a few days later but very soon after.

Dylan is an enigma, with his bad boy personality but he’s just so protective and sweet with Rian. And poor Rian, having a crush on Dylan for a WHILE – and him seeming to be ignorant of it.

I personally love the Piper Rayne series because you think you know a person by their presence in other books but then you find there is more to that character. I can’t wait for Jax now! I hope he becomes part of the “Crew”!

And then Katie gets the chance of a lifetime but Wes is there. Thankfully, not part of the Hollywood couple she’s hired to help separate but definitely around WAY too much for Katie’s liking.

Wes missed Katie – and didn’t realize it. Since he ran into her, she’s all he’s thought about. And being forced into close quarters with Katie, definitely will make it easier for him.

This was a hysterical story that anyone who has been in a relationship should read. It’s not a self help book but it definitely causes you to look internally.

I absolutely loved Linc and Sunny’s story. It wasn’t too angsty but you could feel the love they have for each other. They had each other for a Summer, at least that’s what they planned on, until they didn’t. Fast forward some years and they’re unexpectedly brought back together.

This story was such a ride from when Linc and Sunny and teenagers with their first love and then when they run into each other years later. And then them navigating their lives as adults and trying to navigate through their new personalities and their relationship.

I could not put the story down – well I dropped it but that’s what happens when you read in bed before sleep. I had to know how Sunny and Linc would get together and steer through their relationship from 10 years later.
