So, it’s a cruel twist of fate that right when Emmie lets down her guard and falls in love, she scores a national tour for the band. They’re opening for the sexy, wildly talented, It girl of the moment. A woman so similar to Slater…it’s like they were meant for each other.

But Slater’s not giving up. He’s all-in. Which means, if Emmie wants her happy ever after, she’ll just have to take a leap of faith.

Even more than wanting to be a rock star, Derek Valencia wants respect in the music industry. But right when his band hits the big-time, the guys spiral out of control, and the record label threatens to pull its support. And he can’t help the blazing attraction for the babysitter he’s so intent on disliking.

What does Violet Davis know about love and trust? She grew up in the foster care system, shuffled from one home to another. But when she falls for the bass player in the band she’s been hired to look after, something changes in her. She wants him more than she’s wanted anything in her life. For the first time, she’s in love.

Derek’s finally found something that matters more than music—and he’s not letting her go. Not for anything.

But can a woman who craves stability really make it work with a man whose life is spent on the road with his band?
Calix Bourbon might seem like a free spirit, but that’s all a front. In reality he’s just trying to keep his fractured family together while working as a session musician. When Blue Fire hires him to replace their keyboardist, Calix is determined to make the most of the opportunity—but he can’t help being distracted by the band’s sexy personal chef.

Mimi’s temporary gig is great, but she has her heart set on auditioning for a televised cooking show. There’s just one problem: she only has a week to acquire the skills necessary to survive the competition. Luckily, the band’s new keyboard player can teach her exactly what she needs, in the kitchen and in the bedroom…

When Cooper Hood left Snowberry, Montana ten years ago, he swore he’d never go back to the town that painted him with the same brush as his addict mother. But right in the middle of his band’s national tour he gets a call to come home: his mom’s got a whopper of a secret to reveal.
Daisy Charbonneau’s in trouble. The talent she hired for her resort’s annual Huckleberry Festival’s just bailed on her, and she’s desperate to find a replacement act. Luck turns her way when she discovers her high school crush is back in town — and he happens to be a rock star.
As they work together, a crush deepens into so much more — but who falls in love in two weeks?
Especially when Cooper’s never coming back to town, and Daisy’s never going to leave it.

✔️ Hot, inked, motorcycle-riding hero
✔️ Sexy wedding planner with a whole lot of explaining to do
✔️Steamy, small town romance
✔️Second chance romance
✔️And lots and lots of make-up sex

When Stella Cavanaugh gets the chance to come home after a seven-year, self-imposed exile, she takes it. She was born to be a wedding planner, and she hopes creating her sister’s wedding might just earn her redemption with her family.

The only thing holding her back is the fear of running into Griffin James, the love of her life. Because she not only hurt her family, she destroyed their relationship. Burned it right to the ground. And she just doesn’t know if she can bear to find out he’s moved on. She sure hasn’t.

Griffin James has a roommate. The fourteen-year-old’s staying with him while his dad’s on deployment. Sounds simple, but the boy’s grandparents are looking for any excuse to pull him out of the clutches of the big, tattooed owner of a bike shop. If Griffin can just stay under their radar, everything should be fine.

But that’s just not possible when Stella bursts into their lives. Her sparkly spirit, her big, splashy ideas, and her impulsiveness always lead to disaster. He knew that…but he couldn’t resist her.

And now she’s on the run again, because…

The very things they love about each other are also what tear them apart.

Cat’s Guilty Pleasure – “Man this book kept me on a emotional roller coaster the whole time.”

Goodreads Review – “The magic of Stella and Griffin brings all of the emotions to your heart…tears, anger, hurt, laughter, chemistry and the love of a lifetime. Loved it!!❤❤❤❤❤”

Goodreads Review – “You’re Still The One is my favorite of the Cavanaugh sisters’ books. Griffin and Stella exude passion, love, and so much angst. I couldn’t get enough of them.”

I have not read the other stories in the series, but I love a biker, a small-town romance, and I loved this story! Stella was real! She had such emotions and feelings about returning home after 7 years away from talking with her family, and she is unsure how she will be received. And how she will feel running into her one true love after he broke her heart. Stella seems to have a lot of growing up to do and to address the wrongs she’s done while she grows.

Griffin is not ready for Stella to be back in town but of course, she immediately is where he least expects it and definitely not when he wants it. Although Griffin badly needs the influence Stella has onto his young charge, Austin. And Stella is really what he needed. Stella is truly the fun, feisty, caring, headstrong person that he remembers and how he still loves her and her impetuousness. But that is what Griffin and Austin need.

This story was just so consuming. I couldn’t put it down and now I want to go back and read more of this series!

Movement in the carriage house caught his attention, and when Stella came to the window and looked up at him, his pulse quickened. She pressed her hand to the glass, and he could feel the ghost of that touch on his chest.
Wanted it there.
Wanted her.
All of her.
He grabbed his phone off the nightstand and hit her number.
She stepped away, and the gauzy curtain swung shut “Hey. How’d it go tonight?”
“He doesn’t open up to me he way he does with you.” He wanted to see her again, willed her to come back to the window.
She didn’t make him wait long. “Did you tell him he doesn’t have to spend Thanksgiving with his grandparents?”
“I did, but he said he’d go. He didn’t come out and say it, but I’m sure it’s easier to go along with them than try and fight. He’s told me before the judge ignores him when he defies him or speaks up for himself.”
Defies them. Can you imagine? Not going along with everything they ask of him is viewed as defiance. I would love to give them a piece of my mind.”
He wanted her here, with him. The distance physically hurt. “You eat dinner?”
“Well, I had a really nice salad I found in my mini fridge. I seem to have a secret chef who loads it up every now and then. Wonder who it could be?”
He couldn’t deny how good it made him feel to know she had something to eat when she was buried under all that paperwork.
“I can see that, you know. That sexy little man-grin you try so hard not to show.”
He broke into a full grin. “I’m not hiding anything. Hey, speaking of shows. Thank you for not doing naked yoga in your living room. There’s only so much a man can take.”
“I try to save those kinds of activities for when there isn’t a fourteen-year-old boy in the house.”
“I could send him to boarding school.”
She laughed. And when emotion took up too much space inside him, he went quiet.
She went quiet, too, and it made him wonder…why did he only notice his beating heart when she was around?
Because she is my heart.

She just is.
“Stella?”
“Yes?” Her voice was all breathy, a little eager, a little scared.
“You want me to make you some tea?”
“Yes. Very much.”
The urgency pounded like a drum in his throat. “What kind?”
“Anything. I’ll take anything you have to give.”
Damn, this woman. “Get over here.”

Jinx had
opened his heart to her, and it was time she did the same. “I’m ready.”
He looked
confused. “For?”
“I’m done
fighting my feelings for you. It was easy to push you away when it was nothing
more than physical attraction. You’re gorgeous, and you’ve got a body to die
for. Those things I could resist. But you’re the kindest, sweetest, most
generous man I’ve ever known. And…” Tears burned.
“No, no
more tears. I can’t take it.”
She shook
her head. She needed to say this. “But you’re so good with my son.” She held his gaze, and emotion swelled so big and hard she
couldn’t contain it. “I like you so much, Jinx, and I…” She got up on her toes,
clasped a hand around his neck and drew his mouth down to hers. “I really want
to kiss you.”
The first brush of lips sent sparks shooting
through her. This big, hard muscled man was so gentle, his lips soft. He kissed
her like she was a precious thing, like he wanted to savor this moment he’d
waited so long for.
But she was too needy, too desperate for him.
Licking into his mouth, she felt a shudder run through his body. When their
tongues collided, the world burst into a shower of stars, and—Oh, my God—she’d
never wanted anyone the way she wanted him.
“You think your mom will mind if we leave
without her?”
Grabbing
her hand, he led her across the dance floor and whispered into his mom’s ear.
She glanced to Skylar, looking concerned.
When he
came back to her, she said, “What did you tell your mom?”
“I might’ve
said I needed to get you to bed.”
“You what?”
She nudged him. “You did not tell your mom we’re leaving to have sex.”
He grinned.
Jinx.”
Right there
on the dance floor, he cupped her chin, forcing her to look him in the eyes.
“Just so we’re clear, I get that you’re away from your son, you’re in Vegas,
and you want to have some fun. But I don’t want an hour with you. I don’t want
one night.”
“What do
you want?”
“Everything.”
His desire for her made her knees buckle. “I want everything with you.”

Excerpt:

“Soph?” His arm banded around her, and he hauled her closer to his chest. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he stopped himself. He watched her with an unnerving intensity.

“Yes?” she said, barely able to speak. Was he going to kiss her?

But he just leaned his forehead against hers and let out a slow breath. “I’m about to defile my body, and I need your support.”

“Crazy Hearts are all about the lovin’.”

He fought a smile. “We’ll see about that.” He brought the cookie to his mouth and took a small bite. Immediately, his mouth puckered. He coughed, blowing the powdered sugar all over the desk. “That’s terrible.”

“No, it’s not. It’s beloved.”

“It’s like eating a mouthful of sugar. Is that the only ingredient?”

“Of course not. There’s also corn syrup, hydrogenated oil, artificial coloring, and some benzoate preservatives.”

“Jesus, Soph. You trying to kill me?”

“And, look, it’s not just a cookie.” She pulled his hand toward her, licking her lips before pressing them into the confectioner’s sugar. “It’s lipstick, too.”

He looked at her like she made him happy. “Everyone used to do that in middle school. I don’t know why it didn’t have this effect on me then.”

“What effect?”

“Makes me want to kiss you.”

“I know. I’m a sexy beast.”

“You are so sexy.” He leaned in, lips parted, and he stayed right there, so close she could smell the cookie on his breath. Was he asking for permission? She didn’t know. All she knew was that one moment her breath was trapped in her throat and the next his tongue swept along her lips. Arousal streaked through her so hot and fast the soles of her feet burned.

“Delicious,” he murmured, before tipping her chin. And then he kissed her. The moment their mouths met, he moaned, his arms wrapping even more tightly around her. “You light me up.”

His mouth opened hungrily, his tongue sliding in and seeking hers. She couldn’t resist. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him right back.

Yes, oh, yes. Sensation spread from her center, a warm, thrilling rush that pulled her under. His hand went to the small of her back, pressing, and his kiss grew hungrier, more carnal.

“Damn.” His other hand gripped her thigh, and he shifted her, spreading her legs so she straddled him. And once he had her right there, pressed up tight against him, his hips rocked up.

And, God, the heat of his body, the silky softness of his hair. The urgency of his kiss. She slid her hands under his T-shirt, caressing the smooth skin and hard muscles of his chest. His stomach contracted, his arms tightened around her back, and his kiss turned voracious. She moaned into his mouth because nothing had ever felt so good.

TBRreview

Ryan and Sophie’s story is the quintessential college spring break story. Boy meets girl while on spring break in the islands. But that’s where the similarities end.

Ryan is a top notch shortstop, like scouts are looking at him. However, he is on the cusp of getting his dreams and he’s having some anxiety. So he gets swept away by his friends to a singles island to get rid of all his anxieties.

Sophie is with her girlfriends, having a good time not looking for a hookup or a boyfriend or anything. But then Ryan shows up and he’s a hot, sweet guy. And she just can’t believe it.

And that’s all I’m saying because you need to read and experience Ryan and Sophie yourself.

4 stars!

But a growing restlessness causes him to bail on his baseball team over spring break to join his buddies at an exclusive singles resort. He just needs a few days to escape his life, and then he’ll get right back on track. But not twenty minutes after he arrives he meets HER, and the world as he knows it changes irrevocably. It should only be a hookup—that’s what spring break’s all about—but one taste of this sexy, vibrant woman isn’t enough. He has to have her. Even if it’s only for a week.

Sophie Valentine—yes, that Valentine—just found out her siblings want to sell off Crazy Hearts—the Peeps of the Valentine’s Day world. Being the youngest by eight years, she’s used to feeling left out, but selling off her family’s legacy without talking to her first? Not gonna happen. Upset, she takes off with her friends on their spring break vacation. She only wanted an escape—she never imagined meeting HIM. He’s smoking hot and intensely protective of her—and she loves it. But he’s about to start a major league baseball career, and she’s launching a battle to keep the family company. They have no future. It’s just…she’s never felt this way for anyone before.

Are they really going to walk away from this kind of connection…this passion? Or can a week turn into a lifetime?

Excerpt:

Sophie reached for the key in the ignition.

“Move over,” Ryan said.

“Excuse me?”

Tearing off his sunglasses, he stuck his face into the Jeep, forcing her to lean back. “Move over. I’m getting in.”

Struck by all that masculinity, the scent of sun-warmed cotton, soap from his shower, and whatever shampoo he’d used, it took her a moment to answer. He was a formidable presence, and the energy rolling off him overwhelmed her. “You can teach me how to use a stick shift from the passenger seat.”

“I’m not going to teach you. I’m driving you.”

“You can’t drive me to the other side of the island.”

“Wanna bet?” he said.

“Why?”

“Because you’re going to get twenty minutes down the road, stall out, and then what? You’ll be stuck on the road in the middle of nowhere by yourself.”

His intense gaze unnerved her. Stirred up all kinds of inappropriate feelings.“Why are you staring at my mouth?”

His jaw clamped shut. “Because I freaking love your mouth. I can’t stop kissing it, remember?”

Heat rushed up her neck, burning her cheeks. “Yes, I remember. That was very rude of you to bring it up.”

His arms reached over his head, hands clutching the roll-over bar of the Jeep. “Move over, Soph.”

“This isn’t a good idea.”

“It’s happening.”

“I’m not coming back until tomorrow.”

His nostrils flared, but he remained silent.

“And you don’t want to see the volcano.”

“Not really.”

“I’m not missing the waterfall with magical properties.” She gave him a meaningful look.

“No.” His lips twitched. “I wouldn’t expect you to.”

When she didn’t budge, he finally looked her right in the eyes and gave her the most searing look she’d ever seen. The heat, the intensity, ignited a flurry of explosions in her chest. Holding her gaze, he said, “I think you know I’m going with you.”

EXCERPT

Blood roared in his ears, and need crashed over him. He cupped her chin. Those warm eyes gazed up at him, those beautiful lips parted. When her tongue flicked out to dampen them, he couldn’t take it anymore. He touched his mouth to hers. So sweet. So incredibly sweet.

He tried to hold back. Tried to get a handle on this thoughts—remind himself why this was wrong—but she opened her mouth—just a little—just enough for him to feel the rush of her breath on his lips. And then she leaned into him—so gently, so easily. Christ, like they belonged together.

Holy hell. This was bad. This was so fucking bad. He should stop, walk away while he still had possession of his balls. But he needed this taste. This one little taste to make the want go away.

He pressed his mouth to hers—lightly—just to keep a hint of her to savor for later—but she opened to him, tilting her head to let him in. She got up on her toes, a gentle hand wrapping around his neck—and God help him—but he leaned into her, gave into her. He fell into that delicious mouth, stroking inside with his tongue. And it was so fucking hot, it just cut him wide open, letting all that need come gushing out.

TBRreview

We’re a product of our upbringing.  At least that’s how Dylan sees life.  He sees himself as his drunken mother’s caregiver and the “trailer park trash” he was grown up being called.  Nicole has a similar background but she has chosen to take the lessons out of it and not let it define her.

Dylan likes and admires how bright and young and fresh Nicole is and he doesn’t want to get involved with her and “sully” her with his life.  Nicole just wants Dylan to see himself as she sees him and not as the drunk’s son.

This story was just so much.  It was a love story but it was also a story about perception.  How we perceive ourselves versus how others perceive us and how often our perception of ourselves can be our worst flaw.

I can’t wait to read more of this series!!
