Book Tour ~ Passions & Peonies ~ by ~ Kristina Beck

Title: Passions and Peonies
Series: Four Seasons Series
Author: Kristina Beck
Genre: Contemporary Romance Standalone
Release Date: April 7, 2020
Is one week of breathtaking passion a reason to turn your life upside down?

Winter is Lacey’s arch-enemy and it won’t let up even though it’s the middle of April. She can’t get out of New York City fast enough to kick off her spring vacation in the tropics. One travel glitch and a stumbled step finds Lacey on the lap of a handsome, mysterious stranger, connecting her heart to his in a way she can’t comprehend.
Will gets a last-minute seat on a flight back home, sitting him next to a beautiful, quirky woman who blows into his life like a warm spring breeze. Her magnetism lights him up after weeks of darkness. He refuses to say goodbye until he steals one heated kiss from her.
A surprise twist of fate drops them into deep water, but the fire between them never burns out. What they thought would be a week of steamy distractions blossoms into something their hearts didn’t bargain for.

He pulls the collar of my suit to the side. He kisses and teases me with his tongue from behind my ear all the way down to the top of my breast. “Mmm, I like the way you taste with a dusting of salt on your skin.”

I close my eyes and arch my neck to give him more access. He repeats the same thing on the other side. I’m so glad my sunburn is mostly on my back. I feel him hard against me, and I ache to rub more closely against him.

“I wish I could feel your body against mine. Skin to skin. No barriers,” he purrs while he grazes on my chest. “Do you feel my heart pounding? I’m surprised it’s not creating waves around us.”

I run my fingers through his hair and stare into his hungry eyes. “What’s happening between us? My heart and body aches for you. I almost can’t control myself.” I lick my lips. “Kiss me.”

He brushes my lips gently with his. Our kiss is soft at first, savoring the moment. But a moan escapes from my throat, and we become more hurried and rough. He squeezes me against him like he fears I’ll escape. I can hardly breathe, but I don’t care. All I can think about is what it’d feel like to be naked against his delicious body.

Honk, honk!

Our mouths separate swiftly but not our bodies. His head drops to the curve of my neck while he pants and catches his breath. “That’s our boat. It’s time to go,” he murmurs.

“I don’t want to go.” I nip his shoulder. “But I guess it’s good timing before things got really out of hand. Not that I would’ve complained.”

He unwraps my legs from his waist. “You drive me completely insane. Go ahead of me. I need a few minutes for a certain body part to calm down. You being next to me or even in sight won’t let that happen.”

“Didn’t you know that’s my goal? To drive you nuts.” I giggle and swim backward. “You’ll be begging me to leave on Saturday.”

“Never. Now get out of here,” he says, clenching his jaw.

I’m the happiest girl in the world… at least until Saturday.

Book Tour ~ Savage Heat ~ by ~ K.L. Ramsey

As president of my MC, I’ve always had to hide a part of who I am. I was fine with that until he walked into my life. Now, I can’t shove that half of myself into the dark anymore. My club won’t understand and the woman I want definitely won’t get it, but what choice do I have? I want them both and I’m done with not taking what I want.

Yeah, I’m savage enough to screw the rules to get what I want and I want them.

Both of them—and I won’t settle for less.

You can’t control who you love but sometimes, it’s savage enough to make its own heat.

SAVAGE HEAT
A Royal Bastards MC Novel
© 2020 K.L. Ramsey

Savage felt about ready to turn back around and leave just as soon as he saw his ex sitting at the bar with her girlfriends. Apparently, one of them was about to get hitched and Dallas was there to help her celebrate. At least, that was what he had gathered from the group of rowdy women.

“Shit,” he grumbled and sat down next to Bowie. He looked down at the end of the bar to where Dallas mean-mugged him and had the nerve to laugh.

“I’d say ‘shit’ doesn’t even begin to cover it judging from the way that blonde is scowling at you, man. What did you do?” Bowie asked. That really was a loaded question. It was more like what he didn’t do that was the problem. She was the only woman that Savage dated more than just a few times. Hell, she was the only person he had any kind of relationship within his entire adult life. And, he fucked it completely up with her. He ghosted Dallas when he realized he wasn’t going to be able to commit to her. She’d never be enough for him and how did he admit something like that to her? It was easier to just walk away from her and hope that Dallas would just forget about him. Her angry scowl told him that hadn’t happened yet.

“We dated,” Savage admitted. “About a year ago.”

“Wow,” Bowie whistled under his breath. “So, whatever you did to that woman must have been big, if she hasn’t forgiven you in a year.”

“I didn’t ask for forgiveness,” Savage growled. “And, I’m not looking for it now.”

“Well, I didn’t have you pegged as the dating type,” Bowie said. Savage held up two fingers to the bartender, signaling that he wanted a couple beers. The bar really didn’t offer much in the way of choices and he was one of the regulars, on nights after he had a rough day at work and didn’t want to deal with his MC brothers asking him a million questions. At the Voodoo Lounge, he could just be himself and no one really bothered him.

The bartender brought them their beers and a bowl of pretzels that looked like they had been set out for a few weeks. “Hey, Savage,” the bartender said.

“Mike.” Savage nodded. “Start me a tab,” he ordered.

“Sure thing,” Mike agreed and nodded to Bowie.

“You new here?” he asked.

“Yeah,” Bowie said. “New to the area, really. I’m at Redstone Arsenal.” Mike grunted and Bowie smiled.

“Well, women around these parts seem to burst into flames around guys in uniform. Just watch yourself with the piranhas at the end of the bar. One of the chicks is getting married but they seem to be out for a good time. Just fair warning; unless you’re looking for something like that.” Mike looked between Bowie and Savage as if trying to access what was going on between the two of them and Savage growled.

“Thanks, Mike,” he barked, all but dismissing the guy. Bowie laughed again and he wondered what was so funny but he had a feeling he wouldn’t like Bowie’s answer. So, he didn’t bother asking.

“Are you always so grumbly?” Bowie accused.

“No,” Savage quickly defended, shooting him a look that probably told him he was lying. Bowie held up his hands as if in defense.

“Okay, man,” he said. “No need to bite my head off. If you want to go someplace else, we can. Hell, we can go back to my apartment. I have beer there.” Bowie shot him a wolfish grin, making Savage smile.

“I’m good here,” Savage lied. He could feel Dallas’ eyes boring into the back of his head and he wasn’t sure what the hell to do about her.

“Liar,” Bowie challenged. “That sexy blonde has you squirming in your seat. It’s hot, really—the thought of you with her. I just don’t want to cause any trouble. Does she know?”

“Know what?” Savage asked, playing dumb.

Bowie sighed. “Does she know that you date guys?” he whispered.

“No,” Savage breathed. He sucked down half his beer and shot a look across the bar to where Dallas was still giving him the stink-eye.

“You ghost her or something?” Bowie teased and Savaged winced. “Fuck, man,” Bowie spat. “You didn’t fucking ghost that hot woman sitting at the end of the bar?”

“I did and can you keep it down, man?” Savage said.

“I’m pretty sure she can’t hear me over this God awful honky-tonk music and the ruckus her girlfriends are making. Why did you do it?” Bowie asked.

“Because she would never be enough for me,” Savage admitted. It was the truest thing he had said to Bowie and he worried that made him sound like an ass. “We had been on a few dates and I really liked her, but then I realized that if I dated her—you know, just her—I’d be denying half of myself. You know what I mean?”

Bowie nodded like he understood exactly what Savage was talking about and he realized that he had just assumed the guy was gay.

“You like women too?” Savage asked.

“Yep,” Bowie admitted.” In fact, I haven’t been with many men. It was easier to deny that part of who I was while I was living so close to home. I didn’t start exploring that side of my sexuality until I was stationed here. I had been on a few dates with men, but not a lot. So, I do get what you’re talking about, man.”

Savage sat back in his barstool and waved the bartender back over.  “We’ll take two more and buy the ladies at the end of the bar another round on me,” he said. Mike nodded and walked back down to where the loud group of women sat and when he announced that Savage wanted to buy them a round of drinks, they all squealed and cheered. Well, everyone except Dallas. She shot him a look that could stop most men dead in their tracks, but he wasn’t most men.

Dallas stood from her stool and started toward them and Bowie cursed. “Um, I’m pretty sure the shit is about to hit the fucking fan now, Savage,” he said. Savage had a bad feeling that Bowie was right.

He held his breath, second-guessing every decision he had made that day, right down to asking Bowie out and buying Dallas’ friends a round of drinks. Yep, he was thoroughly fucked and all he wanted to do was get the hell out of there. Savage stood and threw down a hundred dollar bill, knowing that would cover his tab, and smiled at Bowie.

“That offer to get a beer at your place still stand?” Savage asked.

Bowie smiled and nodded. “Sure,” he said. “But, for the record, you’re being a chicken.” He looked across the bar to where Dallas was making her way across the crowded dance floor and sighed. Bowie was right but he didn’t give a fuck. Better to leave as a chicken then face his ex’s wrath.

“Yep,” he breathed. “Ready?” He held out his hand for Bowie, knowing he might be sending not only Dallas but everyone who was currently watching the exchange between them, a clear sign that the two of them were together.

Bowie took his hand and they made their way to the front of the bar. Just as Savage stepped out of the doorway and into the night, he looked back to find Dallas watching him; frozen to her spot with her mouth gaping wide open. Yeah, she had gotten the message, loud and clear—he was leaving the bar with Bowie and there would be no backtracking now. There would be nothing he could do to erase the hatred and pain that he saw in her beautiful eyes.

Book Tour & Review ~ All We Buried ~ by ~ Elena Taylor

All We Buried: A Sheriff Bet Rivers Mystery
by Elena Taylor

About All We Buried

All We Buried: A Sheriff Bet Rivers Mystery
Cozy Mystery
1st in Series
Publisher: Crooked Lane Books (April 7, 2020)
Hardcover: 304 pages
ISBN-10: 1643852914
ISBN-13: 978-1643852911
Digital ASIN: B07RQH353V

For fans of Julia Keller and Sheena Kamal, All We Buried disturbs the long-sleeping secrets of a small Washington State mountain town.

Interim sheriff Elizabeth “Bet” Rivers has always had one repeat nightmare: a shadowy figure throwing a suspicious object into her hometown lake in Collier, Washington. For the longest time, she chalked it up to an overactive imagination as a kid. Then the report arrives. In the woods of the Cascade mountain range, right in her jurisdiction, a body floats to the surface of Lake Collier. When the body is extricated and revealed, no one can identify Jane Doe. But someone must know the woman, so why aren’t they coming forward?

Bet has been sitting as the interim sheriff of this tiny town in the ill-fitting shoes of her late father and predecessor. With the nightmare on her heels, Bet decided to build a life for herself in Los Angeles, but now it’s time to confront the tragic history of Collier. The more she learns, the more Bet realizes she doesn’t know the townspeople of Collier as well as she thought, and nothing can prepare her for what she is about to discover.

TBRreview

I haven’t read Elena Taylor before but after being thoroughly captivated by Bet Rivers, this is definitely not the last! Bet’s character is quite interesting. She’s a tough sheriff yet she’s also giving credence to the dreams/premonitions she has, which is traditionally not something law enforcement would do.

Bet came home to help her Sheriff dad out when he unexpectedly passes. So she ends up becoming the temporary sheriff in her former town. And Bet isn’t really sure about being back home in Washington. Her father was beloved as sheriff and Bet is constantly reminded of that and that she went to California, whether it’s from the secretary, deputies or even her dad’s dog. But Bet isn’t letting Collier and its inhabitants scare her away from solving the mystery.

I can’t wait for more of this series! And Bet!

5 stars!

Book Tour ~ Her Perfect 10 ~ by ~ Brianna Cash

Title: Her Perfect 10
Series: Stars in the Sand #1
Author: Brianna Cash
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 2, 2020

For the online writing course I’m enrolled in, I’m assigned a partner for the entire semester. The syllabus says we’re to remain anonymous. While I never learn her name, she breaks every other rule there is. She’s dragging my grade down with hers, even after I’ve repeatedly asked her not to.

As our conversations turn personal—another broken rule—she encourages me to push my boundaries, and I learn why she has none: she doesn’t believe in love. Instead of looking for a guy who’ll sweep her off her feet, she rates them in different categories in an equation she created to find someone that’s supposedly perfect for her.

I have no idea what she looks like, how old she is, or where she lives. But I know I can change her mind about love.

Too bad I’d never measure up.

According to her equation, there’s no way I’m her perfect ten.

I’ve never played these games before, but they’re kind of childish. I like to have a say in who I kiss. Not that the two girls I kissed during that first game were bad kissers, but I don’t even know their names. Maybe Rob and Alena should’ve had everyone go around and introduce themselves first. That would’ve made me a little more comfortable.

This whole thing was probably Rob’s idea. He’s always making fun of me, talking about how inexperienced I am. Just because I don’t sleep with anyone who gives me a second glance doesn’t mean I have no idea what I’m doing.

Alena locks us in some kind of housekeeping closet, yelling through the door. “Seven minutes, starting now!”

The girl I followed in spins around to find me watching her. She steps closer, swallowing the distance between us in two quick strides. She’s almost pressed against me, she’s so close. I step back, creating some space, reaching for her hand, ready to introduce myself. But she grabs my waist instead, tipping her head back and pushing up on her toes to press her lips to mine.

Her lips are soft and sure, melting instantly beneath mine as I kiss her back, and I quickly forget that she was making out with two other guys before me, a short time ago.

She pulls away, her eyes wide as she stares at me. There’s something familiar about them, the color, or the shape, or the incredibly long eyelashes that are framing a shade of green that matches not only her mask, but also her dress. There’s something about those eyes I can’t quite put my finger on.

I reach for her again. My hands slide around her hips and pull her closer, right up against me. She’s short, but with her heels, she’s just tall enough. Her eyes flutter closed as her head leans back, her lips parted in a silent invitation that my body is very intent on accepting, with or without my brain’s permission.

I’ve never been this close to anyone without knowing their name.

The thin silk of her dress caresses my fingers as I lower my face to hers. The warm cavern of her mouth teases me as her lips move under mine. Her body leans on me more fully—a silent protest as I pull away. I’m only changing the angle, though. I don’t hesitate to come back in for more.

And more.

And more…

Her lips part farther, wordlessly asking me to deepen the kiss. But I’m content to keep kissing her like this, with open mouths and soft lips merging together repeatedly. Her hands, which are still around my waist, pull my shirt out of the way, and then her fingertips are on my skin, trailing confidently over my back, right along the edge of my pants.

She smells like honeysuckle, like early summer nights spent catching fireflies in the backyard. There’s something else mixed in with that sweet memory. Something that’s probably all hers, whoever she is. Her eyes fly open when I take a second to breathe her in. I want to keep the memory of her scent forever, so I can relive this moment later, when I’m lying in my bed remembering how good she feels. When I need some fascinating moment to focus on. Something good. Something happy. Something…perfect.

“Kiss me,” she whispers, her breath warm on my cheek.

“Pretty sure we were kissing,” I whisper right back. No one can hear us. We’re totally alone, but it feels like we’re under some kind of spell, and we’ll break it if we’re too loud.

“No, really kiss me. Like you mean it.”

“I did mean it.” My voice rumbles in my chest as I try to keep quiet. I don’t know anything about this girl except she’s good friends with my future sister-in-law. But I also don’t know if I could stop myself from kissing her again if my life depended on it.

“That’s not what I meant.”

There’s a frown on those delicious lips, and all I want to do is change it into a smile. I clear my throat and keep whispering. “Kiss you like I know you?”

She gives a quick nod. “Kiss me like I’m the person you’ve been waiting for your entire life.”

Her eyes move back and forth between mine, her hands still on my skin under my shirt, making me want her in ways I never would’ve imagined possible at this point. She flexes her fingers on my sides before pushing both my shirt and her hands up, up, up.

It gets caught on my damn mask, but I reach up and untangle it. She then drapes my shirt over a shelf beside us. The mask stays on my face.

Her eyes are on mine as her fingers trail down my chest and stomach, lightly brushing over the dusting of hair that will lead her directly to something she has no right to discover. Not like this. Not in a closet. Not when I know so little about her. Not when she knows nothing about me.

When I inhale, the pressure of her touch lingering on the button of my slacks has my heartbeat pounding in my ears. She tilts her head to the side.

She’s daring me.

Kiss her the way she wants, or she’s going to do her best to get me out of the rest of my clothes.

I want to kiss her again. The simple kiss we shared was by far the best I’ve ever had.

But I also want to see how far she’s willing to take this.

Her gaze dips down, to where her hand is about to undo my pants, and then back at my face.

Which direction am I going to take us?

Cupping her cheek with one hand, I raise her face. With my other hand on her hip, I make sure she stays as close to me as is physically possible. And then I kiss her like she’s the person I’ve been waiting my entire life for.

Book Tour ~ Chasing Melody ~ by ~ Erin Cristofoli

Title: Chasing Melody
Author: Erin Cristofoli
Genre: Rockstar Romance
Release Date: April 1, 2020

Chase Brighton is a dick.

Elle Holloway needs a job that will get her off of her friends couch. When one practically lands in her lap, she is determined to snag it even though the job description is vague. But when she learns that she will be working for the world famous rock star Chase Brighton, her confidence begins to waiver.
Chase might make her heart race, but his attitude sucks. He is cocky and moody. He even accuses her of wanting her fifteen minutes of fame. But he is also a single dad to the most adorable little girl—and he needs Elle to be his nanny.

Heading out on tour, the last thing Chase needs is to be confined on a bus with a woman as sexy as Elle. It’s enough to drive a man insane as his thoughts are filled with fantasies of her instead of the music he should be focused on. To keep her at arm’s length, he gives Elle a hard time at every opportunity.

As their attraction grows, they struggle to keep it professional, but sometimes fate has plans of its own. When the downsides of Chase’s fame pour a cold dose of reality on them, can they find a way to make things work, or will their differences pull them apart?
“If you don’t mind me asking, what is this place?”

“It’s a recording studio,” Claire laughed, “not that you would be able to tell from the outside. But privacy is of the utmost importance to the owner and anyone that he lets use the facility. No one wants a lot of fan fare while they are trying to focus on their music. So, let’s get down to the details, shall we? You will be working for Chase Brighton.”

My eyebrows shot up in surprise. Superstar Chase Brighton? “I’m not sure what job I could possibly do for him. Does he need a secretary for the studio or something?” I stated feeling slightly confused.

“Well, you wouldn’t be providing services for Chase per se, you’d be looking after his daughter. For your reaction, you didn’t seem all that excited when I said Chase’s name.”

I shrugged. “Should I? He’s just another celebrity.”

Claire studied me a moment. “Huh. Most women would fall at his feet.”

Rolling my eyes, I replied. “Well I’m not like most women who lose their mind over someone’s fame. Fame can lead to a big ego and I’m no ego-stroker. I definitely don’t have any kind of ridiculous crush on Chase Brighton.”

She seemed satisfied by my response. “Good, because I need this to work out. So as I said, you would be taking care of Chase’s three year old daughter, Ivy. We’re going on tour, you see, and he wouldn’t agree to go unless she came with us.”

“That’s understandable. So I would be babysitting her.”

Claire nodded. “More like a live-in nanny.”

“Wait a minute, do you mean I would be going on tour too?”

“Yep, that’s the job.”

I leaned back in my chair and let out a breath. “Wow that is a lot to take in.”

Derrick

I’d been fighting all my life.

Making it my career choice seemed…logical.

Sticking to what I was good at seemed…illogical as often as I ended up in the ER.

Then my occupational hazard began to feel like more of a perk when I met, Katy. She was a night nurse at the ER I frequented. She could barely hide her contempt for me, which naturally made the curvy brunette with long wavy hair all the more irresistible.

They called him Dagger, for the looks he gave.

He knew I hated him on sight, but still, he teased me and tried to sway me.

There’s no way it would work. I was on the run and still healing from a relationship with a ‘roid-raging powerlifter. No way was I going to give it a go with someone trained to cause pain for a living.

Then my ex tracked me down. And suddenly, having a fighter in my corner didn’t seem like such a bad idea.
