You must read part 1 first!  That is your only warning.
This part is just as dark as part 1 was.  Except now Millie surely isn’t a nun anymore and she’s getting used to being the King of the Underworld’s Queen.  Well sort of.  She and Raze still have their issues.  But over time, they are getting through them.
Millie certainly doesn’t take any of Raze’s crap and Raze treats her now as an equal and includes her in all the meetings he now has.  Even his employees see that Millie has changed Raze, for the better.  And Millie has certainly changed because of Raze.
This is a darker book, just as book 1 was but this one is more outwardly loving between Raze and Millie.   This will be a re-read when I need a dark, book hangover.

This book is the start of a 2-parter.  So know that when you start.  If you’ve read The Devil’s Own series, these characters aren’t new to you.  But you don’t have to read the other books first.
Millie is a nun.  There is no other way to put it.  Raze is the opposite of nun, well of a priest.  He’s been about this life since he was born.  He is not changing his way of life for anyone, especially not a nun.
That’s all I’m saying besides I’m DYING for part 2!  And read the book!!

After reading One Hundred & Thirty Six Scars, I was SO glad to read Hella’s story!  He intrigued me so much while reading Beast and Meadow’s story.  Beast was so straight-forward about wanting Meadow as where Hella was more sneaky about it.  He was possessive but he and Melissa had such friction that I really wondered if they’d ever get together.
Hella of course had his own story with The Army but Melissa’s story was just so tragic.  But at the same time uplifting because she survived and flourished after it.  I’m not telling you what because you need to read the story.
I highly recommend reading book 1 first because there are events that occur in both but you get to see it from another person/couples perspective.  I personally love when there are overlapping events but from different views.
I can’t wait for more of this series!  These men are so alpha it’s just ridiculous but I LOVE it!  And I love me a good MC and this is DEFINITELY one of them!
