Who says what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Callie Derek Nichols is the first guy I can see myself sticking with for more than one night. He’s nice, easy to talk to, and excellent in bed. There’s just one problem. He breaks my one rule of relationships: no baseball players. Only after spending a passionate night together, I’m considering breaking that cardinal rule for one more chance with him. Derek Callie Jacobs is the full package when it comes to the women I like. Funny, charismatic, gorgeous, and the list goes on. After one night together, I know I want more and I have no problem going after what I want. But Callie doesn’t feel the same. She’s happy to call it done. Then we end up in Vegas with friends and things get a little heated. We wake up married with no memory of the event, just matching rings as a reminder of our vows to each other. I’m all in. I’m ready to give this a shot. But Callie is running scared, even though she’s admitted she wants me too. Each time I see her, I want to hold her close. Each time she pushes me away, I want to reel her back in. We have to decide if this is what we want or if we’ll just become another Vegas statistic. The Fastball is the second book in A.M. Williams Boys of Summer baseball romance series. It’s a secret Vegas wedding romance with a man who knows what he wants and a woman who fights her attraction. If you love men in tight pants and the sassy women they fall for, this series is for you. This book was previously published as Dirty Pitch. It has been updated with new content and re-edited.

I froze when Derek started moving. I turned around slowly, watching as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. Maybe if I didn’t move, he wouldn’t see me. I wasn’t that lucky as his gaze moved to me. “How much did I drink last night?” he asked, blinking blearily at me. “Enough.” My voice was flat and he narrowed his eyes at me. He stretched. “Why are you in here?” I cocked a brow and waited. I saw the moment he realized he was wearing a ring on his left hand.He was running his hands through his hair and paused before bringing his hand in front of his face. His eyes widened and met mine. “Is this what I think it is?” I couldn’t say anything, only nodded, and I held up my hand, wiggling my fingers. Derek swallowed noticeably, looking from his hand to me and back again. “What the fuck?” “What the fuck is right,” I returned. Silence stretched between us. I shifted my weight and realized I needed to get going. I had to pee, wanted a shower, and to crawl back into bed. Maybe if I went to sleep, I’d wake up only to realize this was a really bizarre dream and that I wasn’t actually married to Derek? He opened his mouth to say something, but I didn’t care to hear his thoughts. There was too much going on to try to talk this out right then. I slipped my shoes on and started toward the door, snagging my clutch from the bench as I went by. “Callie! Where are you going?” Derek called out from behind me. “To my room,” I called over my shoulder. I didn’t wait to hear a response, if he had one. I had to be gone. I couldn’t stay in that room one more moment. I knew Derek had questions—I had some, too—but I seriously needed a little bit of time to myself to try to remember last night and figure out what I was going to do.
Though, I guessed it should be us figuring out what we were going to do. I rubbed a hand over my face as Derek’s hotel room door banged shut behind me. This absolutely couldn’t be happening. I did not just become a statistic and have a quickie wedding in Vegas where me and my groom were so drunk, we didn’t remember it happening. That didn’t happen. Right?

What happens when the man of your dreams proves fantasy is better than reality?

Emma

Chase Anderson is everything I want in a man. Tall. Handsome. Compassionate. Confident. He makes me feel things I haven’t in years.

There’s just one problem: me. He can’t stand me and I’m getting to where I can’t stand him either.

The glares stiffen my resolve to forget about my dream man and concentrate on my new job.

Except…eventually those stares turn to something more. More heated. More promising. More everything.

Chase

Emma Carlisle is what I didn’t know I needed in my life until I saw her.

I don’t want her in my life, though. I have too much riding on my shoulders to concentrate on a relationship. A sick mom. A team owner who’s breathing down my neck to win a baseball championship.

It’s easier to ignore her and pretend like she doesn’t exist than to think about how pretty she is or how I feel alive whenever she’s around.

But one surprise kiss and I’m left wanting more. One glimpse into what love could be like and I can’t think of anything else.

We have to decide if it’s worth tempting fate and the flames of desire to see what love might be like.

The Changeup is the first book in A.M. Williams Boys of Summer baseball romance series. It’s a workplace, enemies-to-lovers romance that features two perfectionists struggling to come to terms with the curveballs life has for them.

If you love men in tight pants and the sassy women they fall for, this series is for you.

This book was previously published as Coached in Love. It has been updated with new content and re-edited.

My eyes widened and my mouth dropped as I caught sight of the man stepping down from the cab. I was very thankful for the sunglasses I’d slipped on my face that morning because I didn’t have to worry about him seeing my eyes eating him up.

Whoever this guy was, he was ripped. He was wearing a pair of gray sweatpants—the sweatpants that women loved looking at—and a t-shirt that he’d torn the arms off of, displaying every delectable inch of his biceps, which bulged as he grabbed a bag from his backseat.

I swallowed thickly as I grabbed my bag and opened my car door. I tried not to make it obvious I was looking at him as I stood, but it was hard. So hard.

Much like the abs I was sure he was sporting.

Jesus. Get your mind out of the gutter, Emma!

I cleared my throat and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear as I slammed the car door.

I glanced his way, noting that we’d pass close to each other on our way to the door. My heart beat wildly in my chest as I coached myself on not being awkward. It was just a greeting, being friendly, with someone that I worked with.

I took a deep breath and plastered a smile on my face as he stepped close enough that we could almost touch at the hood of my car. He looked up at me, meeting my eyes, but said nothing. The smile froze on my lips as he kept his eyes on mine while he passed by.

Nothing was said, and the only sound was one of the gravel under his feet as he walked toward the sidewalk that led to the door to get inside. The smile slowly wavered on my face before dropping completely when he turned so that his back was to me.

I cleared my throat and tried to look busy as I worked to throw off the rejection I felt. So, yeah, it wasn’t like we knew each other. But dang! He could have said something, anything, to me in greeting. Instead, he’d stared at me and seemed like he made a point not to say anything.

Can I say how much I loved Emma and Chase?! I love that Emma didn’t give 2 *things* about standing up to Chase. Yes, she thought Chase was attractive but she was NOT going to put up with him being rude to her. Or ignoring her. And I love her for that. Yes, she might be attracted to him but she was still going to call him on the carpet as she needed to. And apparently, Chase seemed to be a fan, not that he was telling Emma that.

Emma and Chase are great together, even if they aren’t really being secretive about their relationship, at least everyone around them didn’t think so.

I felt for Chase because my dad had Alzheimer’s and had progressively gotten worse. He probably would have been in assisted living if he hadn’t have died last year. So I feel for what Chase was having to deal with and live with and trying to keep things scheduled and how their memories, both good and bad, can be hurtful reminders.

5 stars!

“Not gonna lie,” I said after a few minutes of silence. “I wasn’t expecting you to drive a truck.” “Why’s that?” he asked. I shrugged even though he wasn’t looking at me. “I think it’s because you’re a pro athlete, so I just assumed you’d want some type of sports car.” He said nothing for a moment and I glanced at him. I watched as he clenched and unclenched his jaw. He finally asked, “How’d you find out I was an athlete?” I shrugged again. “Someone said something.” “Someone had to tell you?” Was he offended? I looked at him and caught the surprise on his face. “Yeah?” I knew it came out sounding like a question, but he sounded way too offended for the situation. “I have a milkshake named after me.” I blinked at him, not sure where he was going with this. All I could hear was Kelis singing about milkshakes in my head as I asked, “So?” “And a burger. My number’s retired at the high school.” Ah, that explained the framed football jersey in the foyer of the high school then. I’d been wondering about that and hadn’t asked. “That just screams famous or something,” he continued. Who was he trying to convince? Me or himself? “Dude, it’s just a milkshake. Having something named after you doesn’t mean shit. For all I knew, you’d won a contest.” “At every place in town?” Okay, he had me there. There were a lot of things named after him. I might have looked that up earlier in the week. Still didn’t mean much. “Maybe you like eating contests. I don’t know!” And now I was the one grasping at straws. I needed to shut up. He grumbled something under his breath, but I didn’t bother trying to figure out what he said. I really couldn’t get over the fact that he was this butt hurt over me not knowing that he was this famous guy and that he had stuff named after him because of it. It didn’t seem like that big of a deal to me.

“So,” I said after a few minutes of silence where we each sipped our coffee and ate what was in front of us, “are you vacationing near here?” Jasper tilted his head, and a smile curled the edges of his mouth. “You could say that. I’m staying with my dad.” I blinked at him. “And your dad is renting a house near here?” He laughed. Laughed! “Uh, no. He owns it.” I blinked at him again. “Oh. Did he move here recently?” Jasper tilted his head and I caught what looked like surprise widening his eyes slightly. “Do you know who I am?” I considered his question for a few moments, knowing that if he was asking me that then he was probably someone that was well known around here. But I was drawing a blank. Besides my friendship with Ruby and Vicky, I didn’t get out in town too much. I knew people, of course, because of going to events, working in the library, and being drug out to different festivals. But I wouldn’t consider anyone that I met in that way to be a friend. “You’re Jasper?” I finally said, not sure what else I should say. My tone was definitely questioning. He gave one sharp, quick laugh before shaking his head. “I’m Jasper Sutton.” I stared at him after his declaration. “I’m Charlie Drake.” If he was going to introduce himself like that, then I could too. His eyes narrowed. “No, I’m Jasper Sutton.” I wasn’t sure why he was putting emphasis on his name, but I was also realizing that his name did sound familiar. I just wasn’t sure why. “Okay…” I said slowly. “Nice to meet you.” Silence stretched between us before he asked, “You know, the name on the sign coming into town?” I studied him as I tried to recall the sign. I passed it every day, but I was to the point of not even noticing it anymore. But I remembered what he was referring to. The Welcome to Spring Hills sign also had a part that said Home of Jasper Sutton on it. My brow furrowed. “Were you named after someone famous?” He said nothing for a few moments before he started laughing. Hard. I shifted in my seat as he laughed, watching as he rubbed a hand over his face and hunched over the table. I wasn’t too sure why he was laughing; I just knew it was at me. I glanced around the cafe and saw that people were staring at him laughing and grew even more uncomfortable. Jasper slowly stopped laughing and shook his head, wheezing. “Are you for real?” “About what?” I asked, though I wasn’t too sure I wanted to know what he was asking. At this point, I wasn’t sure I wanted to be on this date or whatever it was for too much longer. “You really don’t know who I am?” I shook my head. He blinked at me before saying, “I’m Jasper Sutton. The name on the sign is mine. It was put there when I got drafted.” The drafted statement made me pause, but I couldn’t dwell on it too long because he kept talking. “You’ve been to the Tasty Freeze? Ever seen the Jasper on the menu? It’s the milkshake they named after me because it’s my favorite. What about the Burger Barn? The Jasper there is my favorite meal.” I stared at him. I probably shouldn’t have said what I said next, but my mind was short circuiting because all I could think of was the fact that he said he’d been drafted. Drafted for what? “I thought Jasper Sutton was some old guy that had died in a war sometime.”

We both moaned when my center came in contact with his erection. Even through two layers of clothing, it was a heady feeling.

I undulated my hips on top of him as we continued to make out, slowing working us both into a frenzy.

Zeke ripped his mouth away from mine. “We need to go inside.”

I nodded even though I wasn’t sure what he was saying. I was too focused on pulling his lips back to mine.

“Delaney,” he said between kisses. “Let’s go in.”

He gently pushed me away and stood. I pouted as I stood too. He quickly got out and wrapped his towel around his hips before helping me out and hangin me my towel.

I quickly dried off and walked inside, the head of the cabin beckoning to me.

Once inside, I didn’t waste any time dropping my towel and stripping out of my bathing suit, leaving me naked.

I turned to face Zeke and watched as he drew the curtains. I got a great view of his face when he turned around and realized I was already naked.

“Hot damn,” he muttered and tossed his own towel to the side. His finger immediately starting working the laces of his bathing suit while his gaze raked over my body. I used the opportunity to look at him as well.

My heart ssped up at the thought of everything coming together right now. I’d wanted this for so long and now that it was happening, it was surreal, and I wanted to remember every part of it.

Every kiss. Every caress. Every whispered word. I wanted them all.

Zeke’s bathing suit dropped, and my gaze immediately zeroed in on his dick, which was pointing toward the ceiling.

I whimpered as I looked at it. Moisture was beading on the tip, and it looked like the perfect dick. Especially since it was attached to the perfect man.

A few minutes later, we were parked outside the cabin, and Zeke had our bags in hand while I swiped the keycard for the room. It took several tries to get the lock to open, something that annoyed me to no end.

After discovering everything with the reservation, the door not working was just one more thing to add to the list of why I was upset with my life.

Once the door was open, I stepped to the side and allowed Zeke to go in first before flicking the light switch by the door and letting the door fall shut behind me.

I turned toward the main part of the cabin and drew up short when I noticed Zeke standing frozen with the bags still in his hands.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, walking closer.

“Uhh…” Zeke said, shifting his weight from side to side. “Is there supposed to be only one bed?”

I cringed. I didn’t tell him what happened with the reservation while we were in the car. He deserved to know that I hadn’t changed it like I told him I would.

“Well…I didn’t realize until I went to check in that I forgot to call them to let them know that the reservation needed to be changed. I couldn’t change it today because it was too late.”

Silence greeted my words, and I worried my bottom lip and dropped my gaze to the floor. “I’m really sorry,” she said when Zeke continued to say nothing. “I thought I’d called, and I didn’t. I can’t believe that I forgot to do that simple thing. Don’t even get me started on the excursions we have booked because—”

I jumped when Zeke pressed a finger to my chin and tilted my head up. He was grinning. “Don’t worry about it. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to sleep in the same bed as the Delaney Carrigan.”

My face heated. “Oh, uh…”

“Come on!” Zeke said, pulling me into a hug. “It’ll be fine. Nothing to worry your pretty little head about.”

He released me and turned back to pick the bags up and stepped further into the room.

With him out of the way, I could see what gave him pause. It wasn’t just the single king-size bed in the room. It was the rose petals that were littered all over the bedcovers and on the floor.

They were everywhere. As I stepped closer to the bed, I cringed as I realized they were even in the shape of a heart with a small card in the center. Though I knew I shouldn’t, I picked it up. It read “Congratulations on your marriage!”

I stared at it for several long moments, my mind flashing back to when Josh told me he couldn’t marry me.

“Whatcha got in your hand?” Zeke asked.

Before I could crumple the card, Zeke plucked it from my fingers. I watched as his expression darkened. “Fuck him.”

He ripped the card in half, then ripped it again before tossing the pieces in the air. I watched them flutter toward the floor.

“You’re better off without that douche-canoe. Seriously. What guy breaks up with the supposed love of his life only days before their wedding? Asswads, that’s who. Don’t waste another minute worried about him.”

I nodded. What could I say to that? It wasn’t anything I didn’t already know and that Zeke and my family hadn’t already said. Josh was an asshole of the first order for what he did to me.

It didn’t make it hurt any less, though.

“Right, let’s get unpacked and look over what we’ve got going on this week. Maybe we can add some things to do instead of what we’ve got on there. What do you say?”

I nodded and felt myself relax. “Sounds good.”

Zeke turned and grabbed his bag, unzipping it while I stood there, frozen.

While he’d made me feel better about the rose petals and the asshole ex-fiancé, we hadn’t addressed the elephant in the room: the single bed.

Yeah, Zeke joked that he’d always wanted to sleep in the same bed as me, but I knew he said that to make me feel better.

How were we going to make this work?

Cover Reveal ~ It’s Always Been You ~ by ~ A.M. Williams

We are so excited to share the cover for the upcoming release, It’s Always Been You by A.M. Williams. Check out the cozy cover for It’s Always Been You, a must-read friends to lovers romance from the upcoming Holiday Springs Resort series!

Two best friends and one tiny honeymoon suite…what’s the worst that could happen?

When my ex decided to leave me just three weeks before our wedding, I did the only thing a girl could do. I grabbed my best friend and headed for the mountains to celebrate my newfound freedom and get over my broken heart while taking full advantage of all of the pre-paid amenities that should have happened on my honeymoon. There’s just one problem: Holiday Springs Resort is booked solid and I may have forgotten to change our reservations. Now Zeke and I are forced to share a bed, but am I ready to share my heart again so soon?

Delaney always seemed to be the right girl at the wrong time. With her ex-fiance out of the picture, it’s up to me to mend her broken heart. There’s just one problem: I’ve been in love with her since the day we met. With all the romance in the air, it’s hard to fight back the tension between us. What was supposed to be a fun-filled rebound trip between friends suddenly heats up to so much more.

Falling in love could mean risking our friendship. Are we both willing to take that leap? One thing is for sure – this trip changes everything.

If you like snowy locales, sizzling romance, and a scene with a hot tub, then you’ll love It’s Always Been You, the first book in a new series.

Escape to the romantic paradise of Holiday Springs and warm up with your next happily ever after.
