Mellie lives her life risk-free and would do anything to keep her heart safe. But when Adam shows up in Vegas, all her careful plans go right out the window. Mellie and Adam quickly discover that what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Readers who enjoy diverse contemporary romances will devour Takeover by Evelyn Sola, a diverse accidental marriage romance.

Mellie
I was not a gambler. No way. I’ve built an existence free of risk and adventure. From my career to a small life with my closest family. I was not going to do anything to jeopardize my heart. But when my neighbor and number one menace to my safe plans showed up in Vegas, I did what every adventurous (not!) woman would do. I got drunk and married the man.
Adam
What happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas. Then, I went and married Mellie Dupree. That woman I’ve been chasing for two years is now my wife. She claims she doesn’t remember our wedding, but I was there, and I know she’s not telling the truth. Then again, neither am I.

“Okay.” She takes several deep breaths before coming to stand in front of me. “I’m going to need a little time to find my own place, but in the meantime, I need a small favor from you.” I arch my eyebrows at her declaration. “I need you to let me stay here. At least until Alex has that baby.” I sit on the couch and put my hands behind my head. I school my features so she won’t see how happy I am by her announcement.
“Is that right?” I ask.
“Yes. Do you know why, Adam? Because it’s the least you can do after what you did to me in Vegas. Besides, Jason always folds where our mother is concerned. She drops this bombshell, and he’s too much of a nice guy to tell her to GTFO. So”, she says, sighing deeply, “I guess I can sleep on the couch, but it would be nice if you would let me have the bed.”
“The bed is yours.” I quickly agree to her demand. She stops her pacing, turns to me and narrows her eyes. “But let’s get one thing straight. I didn’t do anything to you in Vegas, so you can stop that lie right the hell now.”
“I’ll pay rent of course,” she says, ignoring my last comment. “Name your price.” I stand up and go stand directly in front of her. She backs away and ends up stuck between my body and the wall. “I’d go stay with Ananda, but she just got married and I don’t want to be a nuisance to her right now, and a hotel would cost too much money and would set me back. Dammit.”
“And you hate being alone, so I’m your next best choice.”
“How do you know I hate being alone?” She crosses her arms and stares.
“You live with your brother and his family. You hardly ever go anywhere by yourself. I bet you never had any intentions of moving out. You only offered to move out knowing they would ask you to stay.” She scoffs and moves away from me. I watch her tight ass pace across my living room, and I will my body not to have its natural reaction.
I reach out, touch her arm, and she stops walking away. When she looks at me again, I see the uncertainty in her eyes. The fire from minutes ago is gone, and the only things left are the vulnerability and unease oozing out of her. It’s the same look she had on New Year’s Eve. I’ve noticed it before, and I’ve always wondered why. Why someone so beautiful, smart and loved by so many people would always have this air of loneliness, but I think I finally got my answer tonight.

Ezra has a reputation. Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, he’s never been able to outrun his troublesome past no matter how hard he works to redeem himself.
As far as relationships go? Lexie is so far out of his league, but that doesn’t stop him from wanting more than one kiss or a one-night stand.

I called Ox. “Change of plans. Bender’s isn’t going to work…” I floundered on an alternative. Ox was really hoping to celebrate. It took a second, but I remembered The Rox. A little upscale for my taste, but it would have to do for tonight. “Meet me at The Rox.”
I was already heading towards my truck. “And don’t laugh. I already know what you’re thinking. You’re the one who wants to celebrate, so beggars can’t be choosy.” I ended the call.
It was a short drive to reach the nightclub. The parking lot was packed, but I managed to find a space. As I walked towards the entrance, I hoped the place didn’t have a dress code. I’d cleaned up from earlier, but I was still rockin’ just jeans and a t-shirt.
When I stepped through the door, I was about to look around for a spot to hole up and wait for Ox, when some woman grabbed my face and crushed her lips against mine. I was about to pull away, but shit, if those weren’t the softest, sweetest lips I’d ever tasted. I shut my eyes and went with it. Whoever she was, she was hard and soft in all the right places, and the woman could kiss. She may have started things, but it wasn’t too long before I mastered her. My tongue swept in to explore the sweetness of her mouth. She tasted of lime and salt.
Catcalls and whistles broke us apart. She pulled away before I did. When I laid eyes on who my kisser was, I was stunned. Lexie fucking Campbell? What had gotten into her? Miss Goodie Two Shoes herself. In high school, we hadn’t run in the same circles. She’d been unattainable: respected and well-to-do parents, head cheerleader, student body president, girlfriend to Daniel the Dickwad, captain of the football team. Every guy wanted to fuck her, including me.
For a moment she seemed to sober when she looked at me. Realization shown in her eyes. Just as quickly, she doused the flicker of sobriety, and licked her lips in a sexy, suggestive manner. I was sure she knew who I was, but she didn’t acknowledge it.
Lexie looked over her shoulder at the bar, still a bit unsure, despite the kiss she’d laid on me.
Over her shoulder, I glanced in that direction. Two women stared at us, and I remembered the girls they used to be. Lexie’s girlfriends. In high school you rarely saw one without the others. The one with the short hair glared at me.
“Your friends?” Needing something to say, I asked the question, even though I already knew the answer.
Lexie whipped back around to face me. It was clear the alcohol was her liquid courage. Nice girls like her didn’t pull stunts like that.
Suspicion clawed its way into my brain. I narrowed my eyes at her, wondering if this was part of some prank, joke or dare. Well, if it was, I was calling her bluff. I wasn’t gonna let her back down. Stepping closer, I put my arm around her waist and pulled her into my body. Her swift intake of breath was followed by her tilting her head back to look up at me.
My gaze roamed over her face, taking in those beautiful, luscious brown eyes, her warm brown skin, and the beauty mark that sat at the curve of her top lip. The mess of curls that framed her face made me ache to feel the texture, but I knew better than to put my hands in her hair.
For a second, I lingered over her plump lips, remembering how they’d felt pressed against mine.
I wanted more of her.
My gaze snapped back up to meet hers, daring her to chicken out. This was a dangerous game she’d started, and I intended to finish it.
Her body trembled slightly. I half expected her to flee back to her friends. Lexie swallowed and licked her bottom lip. “Let’s grab a drink.”

I was so into Ezra. He made me so sad with his upbringing and how he felt about his place in the town of Oak Bend. And Lexie. Oy I can definitely see her struggling with her history and reputation in Oak Bend. But for a completely different reason than Ezra.
Lexie is a good girl, does what is expected of her and she’s ready to shed her good-girl persona, at least for 1 night. Which is when she meets up again with Ezra. She’s drinking and throwing caution into the wind, and flirting insanely with Ezra.
Ezra has had a crush on good girl Lexie since high school and he’s now got a chance with her. Well ish. And I absolutely loved that. He wants his chance with Lexie, and he’s going for it. So go Ezra!
4 stars!

Close your eyes and make a wish as Lachlan charms his Haley around the world from his Scottish castle to the top of the Eiffel Tower to the beauty of Bali.
Their love story is a standalone romance trilogy in the series. Get a glimpse of their dynamism in other books.

The last day of our babymoon coincides with the one-year anniversary of our vow renewal wedding. I originally thought our trip was to mark the occasion. So I brought my gift for Lachlan hidden in my handbag.
When he comes out of the shower with a towel slung low around his narrow hips and his treasure trail dipping beneath it, I nearly forget my thought. His chuckle as he dries his hair with another towel brings my focus back from the outline of his big dick beneath the terrycloth.
I blink, and he laughs some more as he drops the towels to the white tile floor.
“See something you crave, My Lady?” He asks as his dick bobs with each step towards me.
Mutely I nod. Then squeak when he pounces onto the bed. He lands on his hands and knees on either side of my legs, with his face inches from mine. He rubs his nose to mine and purrs.
“Tell me your wish, My Lady,” he demands.
I palm the sides of his face and whisper, “Forever and a day with you, My Lord.”
His eyes shine before he slants his mouth over mine. The kiss is deep and full of emotion. When he passes for a breath, I press my finger to his lips.
He cocks his eyebrow.
I smile as I reach behind my pillow and lift the gift-wrapped box between us.
“What’s this?” He asks as he takes the box and sits beside me.
I grin wider and respond, “Happy vow renewal wedding anniversary, My Lord!”
He drops his head back with a groan.
“I was so focused on your—I mean our babymoon, today’s date slipped past me. Do you forgive me?”
I pretend to pout but can’t hold back my giggles.
“Of course! Don’t be silly,” I answer. “Now, open your present.”
My husband pulls the green and blue ribbon and ties it in a bow around my neck. Then he kisses me and tells me I’m the only present he’ll ever want before he winks and tears through the metallic green paper.
He pauses when the green box for Rolex watches appears.
“Go on!” I urge.
He nods and presses the closure. Then gapes.
“It’s the 1971 Cosmograph Daytona Reference 6265, also known as ‘The Unicorn.’ Do you know why I choose it for you?” I ask, so excited I grin like a loon.
He shakes his head.
“It’s the only known white gold, manual-winding Daytona ever crafted by Rolex. So it’s extremely rare. Just like you, and our love that withstood years of us being apart only for us to be together forever. Not only are you the hero in my childhood fantasies. But you are the unicorn in my real life. I love you, Lachlan Jackson,” I say.
My words end on a sob. But it’s not from the hormones. I truly love my man with all of my heart.
Tears in his eyes match mine as he pulls me onto his lap and buries his face in my neck. His shoulders shake as he cries softly against my skin. Instinctively, I stroke his back and hum the Scottish lullaby he taught to me. It soothes him when, moments later, he sits back and cups my face.
“You, Haley Jackson, are my life and my soul. The mother of my children. I honor you and I love you for all of eternity,” he says gruffly.
Through my tears, I repeat his words, changing them for his name and father.
We spend the rest of the morning in bed, honoring and loving one another.
And as I expected, we have the most ah-mazing babymoon ever!

A Snowflake Christmas -The Nutcracker is the second book of the A Snowflake Christmas series where each novel stands on its own. All are sweet holiday romances set in the fictional small town of Snowflake, Montana.

Quinn asked to carry the nutcracker to the truck, so Olga put the box and satisfaction guaranteed papers into the bag having not gone near the cash register.
Olga grinned, “I’m so glad I got to meet him. Sorry about Mrs. Jameson and sorry I freaked. First day jitters, probably. Over the next several weeks all my energy will be poured into this farm. I hope you understand if you don’t hear from me.”
Erik blinked, then reached for her hand and gave it a squeeze. “I understand. I’m not going anywhere. In the next couple of days, will you tell me when you have some free time?”
Olga’s smile faded slightly, and she glanced to the side. At what he couldn’t tell. He took that as her polite way of declining his request. With feet heavy as blocks of ice, he made his way to Quinn and together they headed for the door.
Quinn talked to the nutcracker as they settled into the truck and Erik wasn’t sure if he should be concerned by the long one-sided conversation. Then Quinn did the strangest thing. He positioned the nutcracker on his lap and held the toy in its standing position.
“Will you really protect our home?” Quinn asked in a serious tone.
For some reason, the right arm of the toy sprung forward on its own.
Quinn giggled with delight. “Daddy, do you think it answered my questions?”
