“I hope you taste as good as you smell.”

The sound drifted through the air. A slow, sensuous melody floated with it, and as both made their way through the room, the beat of the song and the quiet statement I just heard rattled the bourbon in my hand, making the ice cubes shake.

Or maybe I was the one shaking.

I couldn’t help it.

Griff was poking a hole in my ribs with his elbow, and as the lips that had just whispered in my ear withdrew, I could see the look on my “best man’s” face. He was essentially salivating, his tongue practically swinging as he took in the vision of the woman who was speaking in my ear… and laying a seductive path in my open lap.

She stood, her long legs stretching, her bare torso twisting as she rolled the shape of an “S” in the air with her body, swaying seductively to the music. She was toned… that was obvious. A tight package with tits too big to be real, the buxom blonde in front of me was the object of every man’s wet-dream, star of every cock-swinger’s fantasy…

The drunker I got, the more it didn’t matter. Ignorance truly was bliss.

He could see it in the set of her shoulders, the way she held her arms so tight against her body. Then she turned and looked at him, and it was in her eyes. It was breath stealing, the sorrow he saw there, but he steeled himself against it. Closed himself off and let a layer of armor wind around his heart and his body. Because no matter how sad she might be, she was here to upend his life, to try to take the single most important thing he had, and even if it made her sad for the rest of her life, he wasn’t about to give her what she wanted.

            Katie wasn’t negotiable.

            “You came,” she said, giving him a small smile as she turned more fully, the thin embroidered cotton dress she wore blowing around her thighs in the breeze.

            Her hair was still that same shade of platinum it had always been—so rare for an adult to be that blonde naturally, but Jodi looked like the fae out of some Nordic fairy tale, all fair skin, white-blonde hair, and pale blue eyes. She was tall at five ten, he was taller at six two, and she was strong—long legs, wide shoulders, narrow hips—but buxom as well, a Viking warrior princess.

            He gave himself a little shake, remembering that if she wasn’t exactly the enemy now, she sure as hell wasn’t his friend.

“What’re you doing?” Teller asks in a low, gravelly voice.
My hands go to his belt working it loose. “You need to ask?”

I should have known better, especially after reading the excerpt and synopsis and knowing what hot stuff Laura Kaye writes but I couldn’t hold it off any longer. And normally I’m not a threesome fan but holy wow were Hartley, Cruz and Jonathan HOT!!!

Hartley needs to get her boat repaired FAST and there isn’t anyone who can help her achieve her deadline. Except until she meets Jonathan. There’s immediate sparks and Jonathan wants to help Hartley but he does need to consult the other owner of the company and his partner, Cruz.

What then starts is a lot of flirting and sizzling between these 3, especially once Hartley is told that Cruz and Jonathan are part owners of Blasphemy and are often in scenes together.
