“Lane’s down this weekend if you wanted to come over.” I said when I put the phone to my ear. “You can crash on my couch.”
“Maybe, I’ll let you know. I’ve got… things I need to look into.”
There was a tone to his voice. Tension. Hesitancy. And my whole body went stiff. Cas and Rev watched me closely, and I turned away from them and put my finger in my ear to drown out the music so I could hear Isaac better.
“What’s going on?” I asked, swallowing against a tight sensation in my chest. “Hannah has been texting me all day. She said you were gonna call.”
“Yeah. I needed to wait until I got off. Wanted to be able to talk.”
A chill slid over my shoulders, like tiny ice cubes sliding over my skin. Isaac rarely called me to “talk.” We sent texts unless it was something major like Hannah moving down, or his parents moving to North Carolina. I tried to think of what it could be. Maybe something to do with my dad. Another DUI he was trying to have covered up, or he’d put the house up for sale?
There was only one other reason Isaac might call to talk. And it had been a reason I’d been dreading for a while.
There was an update on Tatum’s missing person report.
My jaw clenched, and it took a second before I could work it lose to speak again. “Isaac, what’s going on?”
There was a beat of silence, then he sighed. “You in a spot where you can talk for a minute?”
I must have made a noise, or a face, because Cas leaned over the bar and Rev elbowed me. They wore identical concerned expressions, the type that said they could switch to commiseration or backup depending on what I asked of them.
But neither of them could do what I wanted. Unless they could bring someone back from the dead.
I got up from my stool, half numb as I walked outside the bar. Even the humidity in the air couldn’t keep the cold chill from consuming me, and once the door was shut and the music from the speakers dulled to a low thudding pulse, I let out a breath, steeling myself for what I knew was coming.
What I’d known was coming for a while.
“Just get it over with. Where’d you find…” I took a breath, my throat burning when I swallowed, the alcohol in my stomach threatened to come back up. “The body?”
“Didn’t find one,” Isaac said, his tone calm, but otherwise devoid of emotion. “Tate’s alive.”
The knot in my stomach clenched, then slowly eased, unwinding itself back into a thin loop of rope. A second later, the breath I’d been holding left my lungs, and I sagged against the railing on the small porch that surrounded the bar.
She’s… alive.
Tate’s alive.
Tatum is alive…

══ B L U R B ══
In 1996, New York City, Los Angeles, and the Mediterranean kingdom of Safina are worlds apart, but bound by love.
When terrorists attack Safina’s royal family, its two princes handle things differently. One wants revenge, and the other wants to save the beautiful country on the Mediterranean’s coast.
New York lawyer, Jay Salas, has avoided his role as Safina’s prince his entire life. But when his cousin, Rhys, goes on an all-out rampage seeking revenge on the terrorists, Jay must navigate the consequences of his cousin’s disastrous actions. Meticulous and determined, Jay devises a plan to stop Rhys from inflicting more harm on their ancestral home. But there’s a wildcard-someone who threatens to tear apart the cousins, someone who owns their hearts.
Cori Bennett didn’t expect to be dragged into the middle of her ex-lover’s family drama. Used as a pawn by all sides, she doesn’t know who to trust. Career-focused and fiercely independent, Cori doesn’t have time to hunt down terrorists for her out-of-control ex, or his sexy cousin. But apparently, the fate of
Safina is at stake.
Only one thing is certain: in order for love to succeed, they’ll have to learn to trust each other and follow their hearts.

EXCERPT:
The server approached, and Jay pointed to Cori, blurting before she could say anything.
“Dirty Martini.” It wasn’t a question.
Cori straightened in shock. That was a surprise. How could he know her drink?
The drink that kept her in a position of control since vodka still had little effect on her
and was strong enough for her to convey to the men that she was ready to hang with them. No wine or fruity, frothy drink would be acceptable. She’d match them drink for drink, able to negotiate with ease.
“Extra-dirty with three olives. Thank you,” she added, taking a long, hard look at Jay.
He was gorgeous! This was a problem.
This is a business meeting not a date.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
I am a storyteller first and foremost. My writing journey began after my 50th birthday and the lock-down provided me the opportunity to get my stories down. Some stories have been haunting my dreams for over forty years. But when the characters began shouting at me at all hours of the day and night I had to write them down, never having written before. My previous lives have been in advertising, fashion and as a small business owner.
I am clinically dyslexic (diagnosed in college) and have made it my life’s ambition to consume novels, poetry and article to push past those challenges and tell my stories.
A proud native-Californian, I live in Hermosa Beach, CA, a tiny beach-town in South Los Angeles County with my husband of sixteen years, two beautiful kids and two spunky-rescue kitties.

Wilder Games
It’s match point in the most important tennis match in my life, and nothing can distract me. Nothing, that is, except the sight of Jude Wilder sitting in the stands with his little sister on his lap. He’s never watched me play. Never even noticed me before. And yet his eyes are on me now. I know what he must be thinking. I’m not just an outcast, I’m a social pariah thanks to my family being the town’s most notorious con artists. Jude is on the opposite side of the spectrum. Not only is he accepted, he’s worshipped. I’m nobody to him, and yet I’ve got this chance to impress him. As it turns out, he isn’t at all impressed when I win the match, and I’m worse than a nobody to him. Jude thinks I’m a threat to his family. This should alarm me. It should scare me. Jude in protective mode is hot, all right, but I can’t afford to be on his radar. I’ve got one year to secure a college scholarship. It’s hard enough keeping a low profile with my tennis success, and the last thing I need is Jude Wilder of all people drawing more attention my way. Especially if it’s hostile. Even if I like it.
Wilder Match
One second, the future of my tennis career is brighter than ever; the next, nothing is certain. Nothing, that is, except that I won’t be swinging a racket anytime soon. Jude Wilder wants to come to my rescue. I don’t need rescuing, even if it’s offered by the one guy who ignites a fire inside of me like I’ve only ever felt on the tennis court. I’ve done things on my own my entire life, and I won’t let this setback steal my independence. Only, it’s not so easy to turn Jude away when he’s determined to help me. I want him, but I don’t trust him enough to let him in. Then again, if I can keep his savior complex at bay, he might just be the perfect distraction while I’m sidelined. It’s not like he’s going to stick around for long, and I can always cut him out of my life when I need to. That is, if I don’t fall in love with him first.
Wilder Play
The addicting, edge-of-your seat Wilder trilogy concludes with this final installment filled with sports, romance, and characters you’ll obsess about. Enjoy this fast-paced binge-read and its twisty, unpredictable plot! I’m back on the tennis court, but the rest of my life is a hot mess. My mom stopped paying my bills, and I just discovered the reason for it: she’s dead. I’m about to get kicked out of my apartment – the same one that’s been broken into twice – if I don’t pay rent soon. My sister is still lurking about, up to no good. And someone is leaving messages telling me to break up with Jude. He’s back from football camp and didn’t forget about me while he was gone. Jude’s seen the reality of my life, and he isn’t running away. Instead, he’s demanding I open up to him more, even though I’ve already made myself more vulnerable with him than with anyone else in my life. I keep telling myself it’s for his own good to keep secrets from him, but I’m starting to wonder if it’s more about protecting my heart than it is about proving my independence. We’ve fallen hard and fast, and it’s up to me what happens next. The man who’s come to deliver the news about my mom is about to tell me who my father is, and I have a feeling my world is going to get turned upside down. Should I take Jude’s hand and bring him along for the ride? And if I do, will having Jude beside me make me weaker, or stronger?

“That would have been your first kiss?” She shrugged. “Yeah.” “You’re seventeen?” Her eyes finally met mine, and I could see the relief there. She was glad I hadn’t pushed about the “other stuff” she’d referred to, which only made me more curious about it. “So? I’m too busy with school and tennis, and now college applications and work, to hang out with people.” “You really think you led him on? That’s fucked up, Karis. He was the one who kept touching you all territorial-like all night, and you never responded.” “Should I have pushed him away? Told him to stop? I mean, he wasn’t groping me or anything.” “Pretty sure you did give him a few shoves at the ping pong table.” I raised my eyebrows and she laughed softly. “Only because I wanted to win and he kept screwing up.” “Karis, guys should be able to read women’s signs. Anyone looking at you two would have seen that you weren’t into him like that. But Ferris has it bad, and he’s ignoring it or in denial. Telling himself it’s because you’re inexperienced or something.” “So I should have told him to back off or pushed him away earlier if you hadn’t shown up? Even though it would have made it awkward when I saw him at BTC, which is practically every day in the summer?” “You would let a guy kiss you, your first kiss, so you didn’t hurt his feelings?” Karis laughed again and the rage beating inside me dimmed slightly. “Okay,” she conceded. “You’re right.” “You didn’t have any trouble pushing me away the other night,” I reminded her. And she’d been turned on, I hadn’t misread that. She’d liked how my body felt crowding hers. “Yeah well, you were pissing me off. I didn’t have to worry about hurting your feelings.” “If I tried to kiss you now, what would you do?” She rolled her eyes like she didn’t think I was serious. “I need to get to bed, Jude. I’ve got to be up at 5:30 in the morning.” “Seriously?” “Yes,” she said on a long sigh, moving to the bed. See? She had no problem walking away from me. I found myself following her as I remembered that look in her eyes as she ran her finger along her lip in the hallway. The way her chest rose and her eyes dilated. The deepening blush. Her husky voice. It hadn’t been for Ferris. She felt this between us. I wanted to be Karis Jackson’s first kiss.Get your FREE copy of Wilder Ace (Wilder Epilogue)!

“Look,” I said more softly. “This shouldn’t be so hard. You and me … we’re like gasoline and an open flame. I really appreciate what you did earlier today, but maybe it’s best if Lochlan finds someone else to work with me.”
Casek infiltrated my personal space, a roaring inferno of pissed off energy looming over me. “I told you once, and I won’t say it again. Don’t you fucking go near any of my brothers.”
“You said you didn’t want me to feed from them. That’s not the same as training,” I argued.
“The hell it isn’t.”
I stomped my foot, so frustrated I was seconds from devolving into a childish tantrum. “You are freaking impossible.” Why limit who I could work with if he was just going to avoid me and make things difficult? Was this some kind of twisted game to him?
Casek’s hand clamped around my neck, his fingers at the back and thumb lifting my chin to bring my gaze to his. “I’m not impossible. I’ve lost my fucking mind, and it’s your goddamn fault.”
He stared so intently into my eyes that I swore he could see down to the very depths of my soul. While we waged a silent battle, his lips mouthed silent words, and heat seared the back of my neck. I yanked away from him when the feeling tinged on painful, unsure what had happened.
Panic engulfed me.
Had my magic responded to him? Was it trying to infiltrate his memories again? Why had it hurt so much?
I placed my hand over the heated skin and peered at him warily. “What was that?”
He only lifted his chin defiantly, making me reconsider my assumptions.
Why the fuck did he look so smug?
I rushed to the gym mirror and lifted my hair but was unable to see the back of my neck. “What the hell did you do?”
“I solved a problem—looking out for myself, remember?”
I grabbed my phone and took a photo of the back of my neck. When I saw what he’d done, words escaped me. My lips parted with wordless huffs of breath. “You … you…” I brought my incredulous stare back to him. “You fucking marked me?”
What looked like a letter in a foreign alphabet was now scrolled in black on the back of my neck. I was speechless. Bewildered and mystified. What could have possibly possessed him to do such a thing?
“Essentially,” he said casually. “Now there’s no confusion.”
Was he serious? I was nothing but a blurry swarm of confusion.
“No confusion about what?” I gaped.
His answering smirk was dipped in venomous delight.
