Someone should’ve told me pretending to date your best friend only works if you aren’t in love with them.
Kennedy Davis is not in love with her best friend. That’s what she tells every girl she dates anyway, but it always ends up the same.
Sienna Stevens is in love with her best friend, but she’s too afraid to admit it. A hopeless romantic who hopes her best friend might one day see her as more.
When Kennedy must return home for her brother’s wedding it only makes sense to bring her best friend along. But Kennedys fears of returning home give Sienna a chance for Kennedy to see her as more—by being her fake girlfriend.
So when the line between friends and more gets blurred with Sienna, will Kennedy finally see what everyone’s been telling her all along and confess her true feelings? Or will she hide how she feels to keep their friendship?
After all, a fake relationship only for the summer, can’t hurt right?

As Dex approached, a breathtakingly intense look on the chiseled planes of his face, I hustled backward.
Still his scent caught up to me—woodsy, masculine, mouthwatering—and my legs bumped against the bed.
Then his voice emerged, silky deep and seductive. “Wanna know what I did last night when I got home?”
I swallowed harshly, not daring to speak; my voice probably didn’t work anymore anyway.
A dirty smirk crossed his perfect lips. “I got my big cock out and edged it over and over. Got so fucking hard, the veins were throbbing and my balls were heavy.” He roamed ever closer while I remained spellbound by his crude words. “I lubed it up nice and slick, so fuckin’ thick in my hand.”
Guhhh.
A needy-sounding whimper parted my lips, lips I licked before sinking my teeth into the trembling flesh.
Something hot and tumultuous swept through my belly, making my pulse flutter, spreading liquid fire right to my core.
“Was thinking about you the whole time,” he murmured in his dark, hypnotic voice.
My breath expelled in a rush. “Declan . . .”
My inner thighs clenched when his cobalt eyes almost glowed in recognition of a helplessly aroused woman.
“Oh yeah, darlin’. You like that, don’t you? Like me thinking about your smoke-show of a body? Those nice big tits.”
The tight tingling spread to my nipples, and my body arched as if I was shoving my breasts toward him.
He was so close now, heat poured off him.
I dropped down onto the bed when my knees gave out.
Watching me, his lids half-mast, he thumbed open the final buttons on his jeans.
Pure fire ignited me when he started lowering those faded Levis. He was slow about it, undressing in a teasing sexual manner that had me breathless, pining, panting, aching.
Then he stood there in nothing but pure white briefs crammed full of thick hard cock.
My god, he was so large that the waistband couldn’t even lay flat against his body. The briefs looked ready to burst from his enormous erection, his balls two big full orbs crushed into the crotch, the head large and clearly visible because he was leaking so much precum the material became transparent around the thick flared crown.
I knew without doubt he was telling me the truth, every word of it. He’d wanted me so much he’d stroked that thick hard stalk of flesh thinking about me.
I’d never experienced such pure, potent passion. Never been on the receiving end of this level of desire, and it made me combust.
He hadn’t even kissed me. Hadn’t so much as touched me.
He’d aroused me to a shivering mass simply by speaking of his dark wants in such a deep, guttural voice.
And still he continued. “You got me so fuckin’ hard just wondering what color your nipples are, Ivy. Fisting my aching cock and kneading my loaded balls and imagining burying my head between your thighs, tasting that juicy pussy.”

“5 Stars are not enough. While Jeanne St. James is known for her gritty and remarkable MC storylines, she has outdone herself with this poignant and heartfelt story about finding hope in something that you thought you would never have again.” ★★★★★ Amazon Review

An unexpected collaboration between two authors that’s hot enough to spark a fire…
Chase
After an excruciating loss, I’m desperate for a fresh start.
Away from the painful memories.
Away from everyone I know and anyone who knows my story.
That’s how I end up in Eagle’s Landing, Pennsylvania.
As a bestselling author, my main reason for moving to a remote mountain cabin is to overcome the writer’s block that crushed my creativity for the past two years. My hope is to rediscover my words in the quiet, small town where no one knows me. Or my past.
A place where I can blend in enough that I become invisible.
Rett
Even though Chase, one of my favorite authors, insists he wants to be left alone, I refuse to let him wallow in whatever’s drowning him.
As a local bookstore owner and author myself, I’m intrigued by the man who’s a master of the written word. Unfortunately, his social skills could use a lot of work.
Even so, I’m determined to pull the irritable and frustrating man out of the dark pit he’s fallen into and back to the surface, no matter how hard he fights it. I only hope dragging Chase down that fiery path just might reignite his spark and that I don’t get burned in the process.

About The Author:

After winning a school writing contest at the young age of nine, when she wrote a book about a girl and her pet unicorn (her spirit animal), she dreamed of writing a book of her own. The important lesson she learned about dreams is that they don’t simply fall into your lap – you have to chase them yourself. Her greatest role however is that of a wife and mother. Author: Rebecca Wilder
Release Date: 8/25/2022
Genres: Contemporary Romance
Trope: Grumpy Sunshine Romance, Small-Town Romance

Arlowe
“I think that there’s been some kind of mix up.”
That’s my first clue that my stay in Lilac Harbor isn’t going to go according to plan.
There’s been a mistake with my rental booking and now instead of having the charming little bungalow on the shore all to myself, I’ve got a not so charming roommate.
Yates Warner.
He’s a grump in every since of the word, but there’s something about the guarded translator that tugs at my heartstrings.
I’m determined to make the best of this situation, and who knows? Maybe my grumpy giant and I can even be friends.
Yates
Yeah, we’re definitely never going to be friends.
Arlowe Mitchell is too sweet for a grouchy loner like me. She’s too friendly, too generous, and way too optimistic.
Also, incredibly too tempting.
The more time that I spend with her, the more that I want her.
When she tells me about the newest book her book club is reading and says how she always wanted to have a summer fling like the characters, I finally get my opening.
A four-week fling. No strings attached and we part at the end of the month to go our separate ways. The only rule we have is to not get attached.
I thought that it would be a piece of cake to follow it but the more time I spend around my new roomie, the more I realize that I’m in real trouble of breaking our one and only rule.

I knew, someday, I’d have the life of my dreams.
I just wasn’t prepared to lose him in return.
Growing up in small-town Mason Creek, it’s hard for a girl to dream big. Since my mom was barely making ends meet, I knew moving away for college wasn’t in the cards. What I didn’t know was how singing a Miranda Lambert song while unpacking a box would change my life forever … and take me away from the only boy I’d ever loved.
Matthew Simms was the guy I was destined to be with. Understanding, caring, and the town’s star athlete, he was my everything … including my first heartbreak. We both left Mason Creek to chase our dreams, leaving our love behind.
I never planned on coming back, but when a cruel turn of events strikes five years later, I’m shocked to come face-to-face with Matthew. Gone is the boy I left, and in his place is a man—handsome, strong, and rugged. There’s no denying our attraction lingers in the air, yet the reasons that kept us apart all this time are still as strong as ever.
He is the man of my dreams, but I chose the life I desired over him.
In the back of my mind, I always thought we’d be together someday.
Well, someday is today.
Only now, just as everything I’ve ever wished for is coming true, I wonder if I chose to chase the wrong dream.

I’m finally finished with High School and most of the people in it. I have a few friends but I’m sick of being called names and feeling like an outcast.
Ok.. so.. I’m good at school, so..I work in a bookstore, so.. I love to read, and sure.. I can talk about books all day long, especially while helping someone find just the right book to read next.
Since when is being passionate a bad thing? Well, Clay Connelly sure seems to find fault in everything I do. To him I’m just “Nerd Girl”.
Since the day my mom and I moved here to Seaside, Oregon he seems to have made it his life’s mission to harass me and try getting under my skin. I am so done with that!
Despite my best efforts and against my own better judgement, my heart still pounds when he is near and I can’t seem to help wanting to kiss him and slap him at the same time. If that wasn’t confusing enough, his penetrating grey eyes dive straight into my soul. I can’t help but wonder what he sees there and why he wants to look in the first place.
After a bold and probably foolish move on my part, Clay is determined to haunt me and make this summer unforgettable.
Little did we both know, but this summer would indeed be unforgettable in every meaning of the word. Just not the way he had planned!

She grabs the worn copy from me and hands me a newer looking one, “You can borrow this one, if you’d like to read it. This is a classic and will always be my
favourite one. Until the day I find my own Mr. Darcy, everyone must live up to him.”
“Mr. Darcy, huh?” I say turning towards her, promises made to her mom fast forgotten, I take a step to close the gap between us. Changing our positions, I push her back to her bookshelf and place both my hands on each side of her head. My insides burn with need to get another taste of this delicious
creature in front of me.
Lifting one hand off it’s resting place, I run a finger down her cheek all the way to where her collarbone meets her neck, “Can Mr. Darcy do this?” I taunt, her pupils enlarge in response.
Tilting my head, I decide to replace my finger with the tip of my tongue, “Does Mr. Darcy feel like this?” I tease, her breath hitches, chest rising and falling up against mine in a rapid speed.
I place an open mouth kiss to her collarbone “Can Mr. Darcy make you shake with need?” I growl in her ear, earning myself a needy moan.
Her hands tangle in my hair, as she pulls me to herself making us one, “Mr. Darcy has nothing on the way you make me feel, Clay,” she says in a breathy way and crushes her lips to mine.
