Pre-Order Blitz ~ A Tempest of Discovery ~ by ~ Sarah M. Cradit

Title: A Tempest of Discovery
Series: Midnight Dynasty #1
Author: Sarah M. Cradit
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: January 22, 2018

The Deschanels are back, in this first installment of the new paranormal romance series, Midnight Dynasty…

Nicolas Deschanel spent thirty-two years holding court as the princeling of New Orleans and heir to his family’s dynasty, with no obligations beyond his own pleasures. Following a storm of events, his rock bottom leads him back to his family, where he finds redemption in contrite service. Paired with the pragmatic Lauren—who is deeply skeptical of his reformation—the two spend their days in seclusion, cultivating the lofty research goals of the Deschanel Magi Collective.

Charlotte Fontenot is calculated and driven in her approach to her mission in Paris. With help from her cousin Julian, they follow Gabrielle and Lawrence Henry, siblings whose unusual behavior has caught the attention of witches in Paris. The cousins quickly realize neither sibling is what they seem, and Charlotte’s fearlessness leads her closer and closer to mysterious philanthropist Lawrence.

With Charlotte and Julian settled in Paris, Nicolas and Lauren shift their focus to a special, secret project: quietly and carefully investigating the women of the powerful LaViolette family, distant cousins of the Deschanels. This assignment quickly leads them down a dangerous path, one where turning back is no longer an option. Events in both New Orleans and Paris begin to spin wildly beyond the control of all involved, and when the dust settles, nothing will ever be the same.

“First, I need you to breathe.” Nicolas pulled Lauren from the floor and ushered her to the chair. She let him lead her around like a limp doll.
“I can’t! Oh God, I can’t, I can’t breathe.”
Nicolas knelt on the ground in front of her. He pulled her hands into his and pressed his thumbs into her palms. “Breathe, Lauren.”
She pulled and released a series of desperate gasps, eyes wilder than ever. He pushed harder into her palm. “Breathe,” he repeated. He struggled to believe what he was seeing. That anyone could reduce collected Lauren to this state was incredible.
Her gasps faded to short, jagged breaths. “This isn’t real. It’s not real. It’s not happening. It’s not real.”
“You know it’s real,” he said gently. “But I can help you.”
“How?” she asked again. Clipped, desperate gulps escaped from her parted mouth, like a child eager for succor.
“I’m going to teach you to block.”
“Block? Block what?”
“Him. Adrien. Everyone who isn’t you.”
She laughed. Snot bubbled from her nose and she buried her face in her sleeve. “I’m not like you. I’m not like any of you. I can’t do anything like that, and you know it.”
“Lauren.”
“What?”
“I need you to trust me.”
“Trust you?” she snorted.
Nicolas kept his voice even, calm. He sounded nothing like he felt inside, where a fiery rage boiled through his veins. Adrien LaViolette was a dead man. “Do you trust me?”
Lauren looked away.
“Lauren.”
“What?”
“Do you trust me?”
Tears poured down her cheeks. She looked at the window, at the escalating storm beyond the thick panes. She nodded.
Nicolas laced his fingers through hers and lifted their hands up like a gate between them, the way he did when he would help bring Anasofiya down from one of her panic attacks. “I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere. It’s only you, and it’s only me. Anyone else isn’t welcome, and we’re going to make them leave. Do you understand?”
“Why?”
“Why what, Lauren?”
“Why is he doing this? What does he want?”
“I don’t know,” Nicolas said. “And it doesn’t matter, because he isn’t getting it.” He squeezed her fingers. “Are you ready?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know if I can do this.”
“You are ready. You’re the bravest woman I know.”
“Me?”
“You.”
“I don’t want you to save me, Nicolas.”

“That’s good, because I’m not going to,” Nicolas said. “I’m going to show you how to save yourself.”

She’s a self-professed expert at crafting original songs to sing to her very patient pets, and a seasoned professional at finding ways to humiliate herself (bonus points if it happens in public). Cover Reveal ~ Watching Mine ~ by ~ Alex Grayson

Title: Watching Mine
Series: Consumed Series
Author: Alex Grayson
Genre: Erotic Romance
Release Date: January 19, 2018
Cover Designer: Cover Me Darling

My name is Nathan Reines… and I’m a voyeur. Yes, I like to watch people have sex. Witnessing the desire on their faces as they writhe in pleasure makes my blood hotter than the hottest flame. There’s nothing more erotic than seeing their bodies tighten and tremble as they balance on the edge of ecstasy. It makes my dick as hard as fucking steel.

I’ve never been tempted to have a lasting relationship with a woman—why get involved when watching from the sidelines is so fucking hot? But from the first time I watched the woman in the apartment across from mine, I knew she was different. She teases me with her soft touches and gentle caresses. She tempts me with her silent moans and sexy whimpers. She excites me, and makes me want more than I ever have before.

For two years, I refused to give in to my curiosity. That is, until fate took things in her own twisted hands. Now that I know what it’s like to experience Emberleigh in the flesh, there’s no damn way I could ever go back to simply watching.

“Hey, Nathan,” Tegan calls. I look over and find him looking behind me. “Isn’t that—” He stops midsentence, leans forward, causing Willow to lean with him, and squints. A big grin spreads across his face a second later, and his eyes flicker to me. “9B,” he finishes, then leans back in his chair.
My back straightens, and I whip my head around. My eyes tighten into slits as I look through the darkness of the room.
The place is packed with bodies. Some at tables, some standing around talking to others, some out on the dance floor. I look from one person to the next, seeking out the only person of interest to me.
It doesn’t take long before I find her. She’s out on the dance floor, facing me, with some guy standing behind her. His hands are on her hips as she slowly sways to the music. Her blonde hair is swept up high on her head. With her eyes closed, she’s resting her head back against the guy’s chest with her arms lifted and her hands tangled in his hair.
There’s about thirty feet separating us and it’s dark in the room, but I can still see the look of pleasure on her face. My dick, already at attention, grows thicker.
Someone steps in my line of sight, blocking her from view, and a growl leaves my lips. I’m just about to get up and knock the fucker away, when he moves.
Not bothering to tell the others I’m leaving, I get up and grab my beer to move closer. There’s a table at the edge of the dance floor that’s conveniently empty. I turn the chair around so it faces the dance floor and take a seat. There’s now only fifteen feet between us.

She’s wearing a black silky halter-type dress that hugs her tits, then turns loose and flows down the rest of her body. It stops midthigh, but with her arms raised, it barely covers her cunt. I have no doubt if she were to bend over, her ass would show. Her black sandals are high, and even in the dark, they sparkle from some type of glittery shit that’s all over them.

My eyes slowly rake down her body, taking in every inch of her. I’ve seen her completely bare, but never this close. Her naked body is a work of art, but seeing her this close, even clothed, is so much better.
When my gaze finally tracks back up to her face, my damn dick begs to be let loose. Her eyes are now open and she’s looking straight at me. She appears surprised, which makes me wonder if she remembers me from this morning on the street.

The shock is soon replaced with lust. Her tongue darts out to lick along her lips and her gaze turns hooded. My body responds to her blatant show of want. She doesn’t know me, but she still wants me from just a simple look.
She slowly lowers her arms, her nails dragging over the guy’s neck, then runs them down her sides. They skim along the outside of her tits, over his hands that are still on her hips, to the tops of her thighs. Her eyes stay connected with mine the whole time, as if she knows exactly what she’s doing to me. The guy behind her pushes his hips forward, grinding into her ass. She bites her lip and presses herself back against him. When his lips land on the side of her neck, she tilts her head to the side, giving him better access.

My hand tightens around my beer.
Fuck me. This woman is a goddamn temptress and she knows just what to do to tempt my control.
I grab my dick and try in vain to make more room in my jeans. Her eyes widen when I move my hand away. I bring my beer to my lips and take a long pull. With a smirk, I sit back in my seat and enjoy the show.

Ani Bishop

Hi! I’m Ani Bishop. I’m a married mother of two who lives in a small town. My life hasn’t been easy, but it’s been filled with family. Our house had always been filled with laughter and not one moment of peace could be found. But, we’ve never been bored.
Reading has never been a chore for me, it’s been a great passion. Writing, however, came afterward. Just a story in my head that needed to be told, and I wrote the first few words. Ever since I started, there was no stopping. Every day, every week, I’ve worked, and written, and had fun. Because writing is fun, if you love it.
If you’d like to connect with me on social media, here are my contacts.

Rosie Chapel

A latecomer to writing, but an avid reader all her life, Rosie Chapel was persuaded by her hubby to channel her passion for all things ancient into a book. Despite a healthy amount of scepticism, she took a leap of faith and The Pomegranate Tree was born. This one book became four, and is a tale spanning two thousand years and two continents, connecting the lives of two women and the two men who love them. Since then she has also written both Regency and contemporary romances, and is currently involved in several anthologies. It seems the voices in her head refuse to give her a break 😉

Rosie lives in Perth, Australia with her hubby and three furkids. When not writing, she loves catching up with friends, burying herself in a book (or three), discovering the wonders of Western Australia, or, and the best, a quiet evening at home with her husband, enjoying a glass of wine and a movie.

Melody Dawn

Melody Dawn is a romance author residing in the southern part of the US. She started reading romance novels when she was a teenager and became addicted to Happily Ever After’s. She got her own HEA when she met her soulmate. It was instalove and they’ve been together ever since. They have two spoiled furbabies who think they are Kings of the Castle and require a ton of attention…and they get it 🙂 She spends most of her time reading, writing, spending time with her main guy and furbabies as well as nursing a secret addiction to organizing, a symptom of mild OCD…well, she calls it mild, her husband says it’s a bit worse than that 😉

Lucy Gage
Lucy Gage started her writing career under another name, but the same vivid imagination and love of books still fuels her daily life. When she’s not writing, you can find her spending time with her family in her home state of Maine, experiencing a life that helps shape her work.

J.C. Hannigan
J.C. Hannigan lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband, their two sons, and their dog. She writes contemporary new adult romance and suspense. Her novels focus on relationships, mental health, social issues, and other life challenges.

Two lines mean pregnant. One line means not.
Two lines. Pregnant.
One line. Not.
I sit on the edge of the tub in the bathroom with the door locked. My head is down as I stare at the tiled floor. There are thirty-four tiles. One is cracked. The grout is dirty. I should buy better cleaning supplies. The test said three minutes. It’s probably been closer to ten but I can’t look. Will the test still be accurate if I don’t look right away? Maybe I should take another one just in case.
Two lines and my life changes.
One line and nothing changes.

“Bella! You have been in there forever. Are we still going to dinner? The shower isn’t even running. Gina is going to be here any minute.” When I don’t respond, Tristan knocks on the door, again. “Bella!”

“I’ll be out in a minute,” I yell through the door praying he can’t hear the tremble in my voice. If he knows I’m freaking out, he will without a doubt force his way in here to find out what’s going on, and right now, Tristan is probably the last person I want knowing what’s going on.

Taking a deep breath, I stand up and walk slowly toward the counter silently praying for one line, like praying now is going to make a difference, like if I pray right this second, the results will miraculously change in my favor. The second line will just disappear and all will be right with the world. Maybe I don’t need a miracle. Maybe there’s only one line. Maybe I am freaking out over nothing. I swear to God if there’s only one line, I am getting on birth control today! Not that I’ll need it, because if I’m not pregnant, I’m never having sex again! Ok, maybe not never again but not anytime in the near future.

Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath to calm my nerves. After holding it in for a few seconds, I let out a slow exhale. Nope, doesn’t work, I’m still freaking out. I open my eyes and stare at the test.

Book Excerpt:

At the subtle shift in energy, I pulled Taryn to my side. She kept her head down as I spun us toward the main floor. When we emerged on the other side of the bar, I ushered her through the door marked No Admittance and into the hallway that led to my loft.

“I shouldn’t have come,” she said, her breath uneven. “Do you have a back entrance?”

I rounded on her, and when I caught sight of those eyes, impossibly large as she blinked up at me, I couldn’t help myself.

My mouth crashed into hers, my tongue demanding entry as I maneuvered her against the wall. Her lips parted on a gasp. But then her hands were in my hair, and it was all hot breath and soft moans. And fuck, the taste. Like strawberries fresh from the vine.

“Fuck, you’re sweet.” My palms glided up her sides, inching towards her breasts. “I knew you’d be sweet.”

Her little pants warmed the hollow of my neck. “So are you.”

I stroked her jaw with the pad of my thumb, and even in the dim light, I saw the flush color her cheeks.

“One more taste.”

It wasn’t a question. More like a vow. One more taste and I’d peel her off the wall. One more taste and we’d go get that drink I’d promised. One more taste and I’d be able to control myself.

TBRreview

This book brought forth a whole lot of emotions! I haven’t read the other books in the series and you don’t have to but it’s a good idea to just to learn people’s friendships.

This was an interesting read for me for sure though. Taryn is the manager and Chase is sort of the musician but more a producer for his musician brother. Taryn isn’t looking for a musician in any way, shape or form. She has an attraction to Chase so she’s willing to test it out. But she doesn’t know who Chase is and Chase isn’t one to do relationships. He’s one and done. But Taryn makes him want more.

There’s tons more side stories and background but you have to read that for yourself.

4 Stars!
