So you want to know a little more about me? Well, okay then. Much like any author out there, sleeping doesn’t come easily to me. As it turns out, I’ve got horrible insomnia. Like, scary horrible. My stomach churns, and I can’t look at him. “If I say no?” I quickly look back at him while trying to hold the pleading note in my voice back.

He works a muscle in his jaw before his face relaxes. “You can say no.” He shrugs and walks away from me. “But that’s the deal. One night with me and I’ll give you the twelve grand.”

Heat slowly creeps up my chest as I think of both scenarios. Jack sits back down behind his desk and starts writing. “Make up your mind quickly.”
