About Turn the Page:
Sex. Drugs. Rock and roll.
Life in the fast lane is nothing new to Corbin James.
After completing his second stint in rehab, Corbin heads home to Riverview, determined to leave the music world behind and focus on his family, his songwriting, and his sobriety.
Crippled with debt but determined to make it on her own, Jolie Daniels pours her heart and soul into the town’s bookstore. When Corbin finds his debut album in Jolie’s discount bin, sparks fly between the pretty bookstore owner and the rock star musician.
Corbin knows he’s nowhere near good enough for a sweet girl like Jolie . . .
But he wants to be.
When a record label approaches Corbin with the chance to make a musical comeback, he doesn’t think twice before saying no. He’s ready to settle down, and he wants to do it with Jolie. However, when her beloved bookstore is threatened with foreclosure, Corbin finds himself signing a contract that will take him away from home and back on tour for three months.
Can Corbin resist the temptations of the tour? Or will the loneliness of the road resurrect all the demons he’s worked so hard to bury?
It felt good to be writing songs again—even if he was the only one who might ever hear them.
Well, he and Jolie.
When Corbin let it slip that he’d been writing, Jolie begged him to bring his guitar to the river the next afternoon.
“The fall leaves are beautiful,” Corbin said, gazing at the mountains in the distance.
“They are. And you’re stalling.”
He couldn’t deny it. Corbin had never been one to be nervous about sharing new songs, but for some reason, this seemed different. Important. Meaningful. Maybe because the inspiration for these songs was sitting right in front of him, with her long hair in a braid and her green eyes bright with excitement as she eagerly awaited whatever he was about to play for her.
But that wasn’t the only reason he was nervous.
“I have a confession to make, Jolie.”
She crossed her legs in front of her. “Okay.”
“These songs . . . they’re the most I’ve ever written . . . while sober.”
Jolie nodded in understanding.
“I mean, there’s a very good chance they’ll suck. I just want you to be prepared. And I want you to be honest if they are.”
“They won’t suck.”
“How do you know?”
“Because they won’t.”
Corbin sighed heavily and pulled his guitar out of its case. Her faith unnerved him, maybe because he was used to letting everyone down. The very last thing he ever wanted to do was disappoint her.
Jolie must’ve sensed his anxiety, because before he placed his fingers on the strings, she gently reached for his hand.
“Don’t be nervous. It’s just me.”
Corbin smiled and squeezed her hand. She had no way of knowing it, but these days, it was her opinion that mattered most.
Taking a deep breath, he attached the capo to the neck of the guitar and strummed a few strings to make sure it was in tune.
Then he started to sing.
One song effortlessly flowed into the next, with Corbin’s soft tenor voice echoing across the water. He kept his eyes closed or on his guitar the entire time, too afraid to see Jolie’s reaction to the music. It was only when he played the final note in his last song that he finally allowed himself a glance at the beautiful woman sitting in front of him.
Tears streamed down her cheeks.
“I know they’re rough,” he said, his voice shaking slightly as he placed his guitar back in the case. “I’m still struggling with the bridge in that last one. My fault, since I wrote it that way. I was thinking maybe I should cut it out completely or—”
“Corbin—”
“And in the first song . . . the chorus needs some work. I’m thinking maybe trying it in a different key or something. I don’t know.”
“Corbin James, shut up and listen to me.”
He took a steadying breath and gazed at her.
“I loved them,” she said softly.
“Yeah?”
“Every single word. Every single note.”
Corbin lifted his hand and trailed his fingers along her cheek, wiping her tears away. He heard her breath hitch in her throat as he leaned closer. He knew it was risky. Kissing her could ruin everything before it even had the chance to turn into something . . . something that might be incredible and wonderful and life changing.
It was a chance he had to take.
Not kissing her simply wasn’t an option.
Not anymore.
Jolie’s eyes fluttered closed as he cupped her cheek, letting his nose glide against hers. With a quiet sigh, her lips parted in silent invitation, and he couldn’t help but smile when he felt her tremble against him.
“This could change everything,” Corbin whispered, kissing the hollow just below her ear.
“I hope so.”
Their arms wrapped around each other, and Corbin buried his face against her neck, inhaling deeply and drowning in her sweet scent. She moaned softly, and it was that moan that finally broke him.
Corbin had every intention of kissing her gently, but her moan, combined with her hands pulling him impossibly closer, sent his body into overdrive, and they both groaned when his mouth hungrily captured hers. Frantic and sweet. Frenzied and tender. With quiet sighs and gentle whispers and warm arms that held each other tight, they laid back against the autumn grass and kissed until the sun disappeared behind the mountains.
Turn the Page Book Trailer
I loved Jolie and Corbin’s story! Yes Corbin was a rockstar but I wouldn’t call this a rock star genre book.
Corbin is just trying to get used to life outside of rehab. He wants to stay sober and see his family and truly heal from the rockstar lifestyle.
Jolie has always wanted a book store. And Turn The Page is perfect for her, blending her love of books and music together.
This was a classic story of 2 people trying to find their way to love and navigating their dreams and fears to be together. This is my 2nd or 3rd Sydney Logan book and it won’t be my last!!
5 stars!

Macy crawled into bed at 1:00 a.m. almost too tired to sleep. What a day. Simon had thrown a tantrum, even though those outbursts had lessened over time. Then she’d talked with Gabe. But the hard conversation had to take place. Not only was Simon going to be overwrought when Gabe left, but so would she. Somehow, she’d managed to maintain a platonic relationship with him despite the fact that she’d always thought, even when she was married to Spike, that Gabe was about the sexiest guy she’d ever met. Something about his quiet ways, his intense concentration when he focused on you made him super-attractive. Then, there was his dark hair, crystal-blue eyes and a trainer’s build. Which sometimes made her antsy at night. Like now. After being with him. But she’d squelched her attraction to him with a ruthlessness she hadn’t even known she had, because it was obvious to her that if she couldn’t keep her husband happy, interested and wanting to be home more, she could never satisfy a man like Gabe. On that ugly thought, she turned over and willed herself to sleep.

“I just, aaaaahhhhhhhhh, Belle Brooks = EXPECT THE EFFING UNEXPECTED.One Fear was gripping, it was this damned rabbit hole… I just couldn’t get enough and when I reached the end I went back and started it OVER. Yep, I went and reread it the same day.” ~One Click Romance Book Blog
“One Fear is completely different then any other book written by Belle. It sucked me in right from the beginning and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This book is intense! It is dark, twisted and a whole lot of scary!!~Amazon Review (H. Rogers)

“Hell hath no fury like a mother’s love for her child. I will fight until my last breath escapes my lips, and my heart beats no more. I will never lie down and say ‘die’.”
Born in Australia, Belle Brooks has always had a passion for books and creative writing. She loves exploring the different ways stories can be told through the use of text and in-depth characters. Since she was a child her strong talent and interest in creative writing was evident, explaining that her favourite class in school was English. Despite her love for all things books, she decided the world of advertising and marketing was where she could put her talents to use in the business realm, well that is until now. Belle enjoys creative writing and creating fictional stories that leave a valued message inside the pages.
“No passion, no emotion, no originality—a train wreck of epic portions.”
Those were the words to describe Eve Thorton’s exhibition. Not even a
fine arts degree from Yale or her daddy’s bank account could save her from the
scathing reviews. And failure was a word Eve would never be comfortable with.
Not even close.
Plotting the demise of every critic who’d written her off was her first
instinct. But that would come later. Instead, she would show them that she
wasn’t a bored socialite with more money than talent.
She would prove everyone wrong, and she wasn’t afraid to get her hands
dirty. But when her journey for redemption crashed headfirst into Josh Logan,
the sexy, talented tattooist from Queens, getting her hands dirty took
on a whole new meaning.
Josh was everything Eve wasn’t, translating on skin what she couldn’t
onto her canvas. All she had to do was convince him to share his jaw-dropping
brilliance, and help her—seeing him naked—a bonus. Then she could go back to
her regular life, vindicated.
It should have been easy. Pity her plans had a habit of derailing.
This was my first T. Gephart book but I will definitely be on the lookout for more!! This book was funny, emotional and deep. I could feel the anguish and drive Eve has. Plus tattooed male with a rescue complex? Sign me up!!!
Eve had her first art exhibition and it went less than good. Her art was called emotionless and a bunch of other cruel things. On top of all her just breaking up with her cheating boyfriend. So she’s having less of a great time. Although she’s more hurt by the critics rather than her cheating boyfriend. However, art is her passion so she’s going to somehow find the emotion that her art is missing. That’s where Josh comes in.
After a case of mistaken identity, Eve convinces Josh to hire her as a receptionist. And not to warm his bed because he does not cross the line with his employees. But oh how he wants to. And Eve wants him just as bad….
This wasn’t just a romance novel, it was almost a coming of age story as Eve was going through a lot of soul searching and trial and error to be truly happy with her life and her art.

Author Bio
T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia.
T’s approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience.
With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.
While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have traveled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley, the wonder dog.
An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident and who didn’t lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. T set herself the challenge to write something that was interesting, compelling and yet easy enough to read that was still enjoyable. Pulling from her own past “colorful” experiences and the amazing personalities she has surrounded herself with, she had no shortage of inspiration. With a strong slant on erotic fiction, her core characters are empowered women who don’t have to sacrifice their femininity. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn’t let it go.
T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colorful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey – she is well and truly enjoying the ride!
Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.
The second part in Lauren Hawkeye’s erotic romance serial, UNINHIBITED!, is available today! And you don’t have long to wait until the third part, which releases July 17th! Find out more about the serial below and pick up your copies below!
About the Uninhibited! Series
Celebrity archaeologist Cari Dunn is so over the Georgia heat, the red tape at her dig site, and the threatening messages left on her motel door. She just wants to dig, and the network just wants to keep her safe—with a bodyguard. She can’t complain. Jasper Benjamin radiates raw masculinity that penetrates her to the core and ignites passion she’s never felt. Too bad for him, she’s not going to be easy to handle.
Lusting after the bodyguard shouldn’t be so tempting, especially when her life is on the line.
“You know what Krav Maga is, and you let me spar with my imaginary friend for the last hour?” I let myself go limp, become dead weight, expecting the move to surprise him enough to drop me.
It did not. Instead he rolled with me until his back was against the parched grass, and I was seated astride him. I should have been able to get free since I was on top, but I couldn’t rid myself of his steely grip on my arms, and I knew he’d chosen that position deliberately, to prove his point.
Damn it. This was not the result I wanted—proof that I did, in fact, need him.
“I get it. You’re stronger than me. Now let me up.” Temper-tears stung the back of my throat. Convincing my stepfather that I was going to go to university, convincing my colleagues that I wouldn’t have a nervous breakdown just because some idiot spray painted my door—why did I always have to fight just to live my life the way I wanted?
Instead of gloating and letting me up, my newly vindicated bodyguard tugged me down so that I lay at on top of him. I surprised myself by wanting, suddenly, to bury my face in his T-shirt and just let go for a moment, rather than fight this new reality—that I might actually be in danger.
“I’m not trying to prove that I’m stronger than you. I don’t have to. It’s obvious.” The urge to snuggle passed as I cranked my head around with a glare.
Way to make me feel worse, asshole.
“Krav maga is a discipline, and the first rule is to avoid confrontation. You know this. So why the hell are you out here, alone, after dusk?” His words were tinted with frustration, the first hint of emotion he’d shown, and I was surprised enough to stop tugging at his grip. When I did, he let go, and I pushed myself up on his massive chest but didn’t roll off.
“You’re serious.” I waited for the punchline, but it didn’t come. Instead, he fixed me with a stare from those pale eyes, and a shiver skittered down my spine. “You don’t actually think someone is out to get me, do you? It’s a prank, right?”
“Let’s look at it this way.” Propping himself up on an elbow brought that rock-solid stomach of his in contact with my hip. I thought he would push me away, but he didn’t, seeming completely unaffected by the closeness of our bodies.
That stung, because I sure as hell wasn’t. This close, I could feel the warmth of his skin, smell a hint of soap, and it invaded my senses slowly, lazily, like honey melting on a summer day.
“You’re an archaeologist. You search for physical proof of things before you build theories on top of that evidence. Would that be an accurate explanation?”
“Yes.” Narrowing my eyes, I tried to drag my attention from the scent of his skin to what he was saying. My mouth was dry, and the space between my legs that pressed into the cradle between his hip was warm and starting to ache.
He gave no indication that our position was getting him all hot and bothered, too. None. How was I the only one feeling this?
“You have your physical proof. Harassment in the form of vandalism, and the more direct threat with the poster mailed to Margot.” With the sort of ab crunch I couldn’t do even on my best day, he hauled himself into a sitting position, still without pushing me off his lap. “Sure, it could be that
someone just wants to mess with your head. But what if it’s more? Wouldn’t you rather be prepared?”
“I like being prepared.” I ran my tongue over my lips and swallowed. Holy mixed messages. His words, his demeanor—he was still fully in G.I. Joe mode, but still, he hadn’t pushed me away.
“So how is this going to work? You just follow me around all the time?” A thought occurred to me. “You’re not expecting to stay in the same room, are you?”
Looking at him, though, I felt that same strange pull that I had in Margot’s suite. I might not actually mind having him that close.
What was wrong with me?
Margot and the network had been right—I was absolutely in danger. But the threat?
It was him.
About Lauren Hawkeye
Lauren Hawkeye/ Lauren Jameson never imagined that she’d wind up telling stories for a living… though when she looks back, it’s easy to see that she’s the only one who is surprised. Always “the kid who read all the time”, Lauren made up stories about her favorite characters once she’d finished a book… and once spent an entire year narrating her own life internally. No, really. But where she was just plain odd before publication, now she can at least claim to have an artistic temperament.
Lauren lives in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada with her husband, toddler, pit bull and idiot cat, though they do not live in an igloo, nor do they drive a dogsled. In her nonexistent spare time Lauren can be found knitting (her husband claims that her snobby yarn collection is exorbitant), reading anything she can get her hands on, or sweating her way through spin class. She loves to hear from her readers!
