It should have been easier.
I changed everything. Became the beauty I didn’t think he’d resist. Lived the
lie I thought he could love.
I sacrificed my soul to recover the years that she took from us. Yet, I’m still empty-handed.
But he’s mine. I’ve earned him. It’s time to collect my prize, and I’ll be
damned if I let anyone come between us this late in the game.
If only I’d known my greatest obstacle would be me.

Excerpt
I suppose when Brooks said, “See you later,” he meant whenever I could come up another pathetic ruse to get his attention. Fuck that.
The path to his heart is proving to be significantly more treacherous than I’d
planned for, so I’ve given up on my own ideas. I picked up a book called Bitches
Get Rings: How to Trap Your Man for Good
, and in a mere day it has cleared
my head—highlighted my priorities. If I want to get Brooks, if I want him to
get on one knee and later say “I do,” I have to make myself valuable. He
needs to know my worth—supply versus demand.
“Good morning,” two suited men say to me in unison as I
reach the top step.
My smile is polite as I step past the heavy doors.
“Morning.”
I weave through the pastel herd, slinking down the aisle,
eyes searching inconspicuously for the back of his head. It’s Easter Sunday.
Brooks told Facebook days ago he’d be here when he declined his co-worker’s
invitation to meet up. Another time, man. Going to church with the fam,
he’d said. So, I’ve been patient. Have read the book twice, and am committed to
following its advice. No messaging and asking what he’s up to, no accidental
butt-dials, no I-thought-you-said-we’d-talk-later-asshole text.
No weakness.
I’m determined now to be a big fucking tease and show him
how much he needs me. So, I stalked him. Followed him. Now, I’m here at
church—a place I haven’t been since my parents’ funeral—wearing my Sunday best,
and prepared to do my best work.

TBRsynopsis

Abandoned by her mother and spurned by her father, Reina St. James is tired of being treated like a dirty little secret. It wasn’t easy making her way into the high-risk, high-reward Wall Street world ruled by financial kings and trust fund tyrants. For Tristan Xavier Bettencourt IV, escaping the shadow cast by generations of family fortune has been difficult, and success hasn’t come without sacrifice. Tristan has always put business before pleasure… Until Reina’s curved lips prove an invitation he can’t resist.

Excerpt:

“Obviously, something needs to happen between us. Soon. Preferably tonight, actually.”

Endorphins ping-ponged through my body like the ball in an old-fashioned arcade game. I’d tried to deny the chemistry between us, then suggested we ignore it. But to hell with that. It just wasn’t possible. I found my voice. “Someplace with a bed, or a couch.” I shrugged. “At least a rug, maybe a table.”

Tristan chuckled, attempting to finger-comb his hair into place. “Last time I checked, my apartment had all four.”

“Good. We can’t be seen in public together. At least not outside of the office.”

“About that. Bettencourt has more than one hedge fund you can work on. I’ll set you up with another portfolio manager or have you assigned to marketing or research, whatever you want.”

I shook my head. That wasn’t what I wanted at all. “No. Please don’t. Your strategy is the one I feel most closely aligned with. I applied to Bettencourt, hoping I’d have the opportunity to work on the Millennial Fund. This doesn’t have to be an either/or situation.” Taking a breath, I debated whether or not I should even verbalize the thoughts racing through my mind. Spit it out, already. I forced words through my mouth in a rush. “Let’s just have sex tonight and get it out of our system. Then we can pretend it never happened and focus on work.”

An aristocratic eyebrow arched upwards. “You think that’s all going to take? One fuck and we won’t ever need to do it again?”

I grinned at Tristan’s outraged expression. He even wore indignation well. “Okay, fine. Maybe we’ll have to do it more than once. But I just started here, and I intend to come out on the other side of this internship with a job offer. And I want it because I’ve proved myself on the Bettencourt trading floor, not in you bedroom. No one can know about us.”

Tristan scowled. “Is there someone else? Maybe not a boyfriend, just a friends-with-benefits kind of thing? You seem pretty eager to keep us in the dark.”

It’s what I know. “Don’t be ridiculous.”

Tristan tucked in his shirt, adjusted his sleeves. Skepticism darkened his eyes. “Casual sex, no strings attached. That’s what you want?”

“I’m not exactly the next Mrs. Bettencourt, Tristan. I highly doubt your socialite stepmother would approve of me.”

“Why?” Tristan seemed less than eager to take my words at face value. “Because you want to do more with your life than plan overpriced parties with bad food and watered-down drinks?”

I looked down, a blush coloring my cheeks. If he knew that even my own mother wouldn’t be seen in public with me, he would feel differently. “Something like that.”

Desiree Garcia always runs from her problems. But escaping memories and tragedy is impossible, no matter the distance. When her last FBI case pushes Desiree to her limits, she knows it’s time to move once more. This time, she heads back home and returns to her family and to her best friend she abandoned so long ago.Hunter Collins was there for Desiree from the day they met at just twelve years old. He stood by her and waited for her, even when she joined the FBI, leaving him and all she loved behind. Now she’s back, he’s determined to not let her go again.

When faced with a police case that she can’t say no to, Desiree and Hunter navigate through the investigation as she faces the horrors of her past. As they struggle to solve the case, it’s up to Hunter to keep her tethered.

Will love and friendship be enough to save Desiree from herself and all that is tormenting her?

“Why are you looking at me like I’m a piece of meat?” I glared at Hunter, who had this distant, yet sexual look in his eyes. His gaze traveled over my face, down my body, and stopped at my chest. He’d been looking at me differently since I came home, like he wanted to jump my bones. It wasn’t unwelcome. What girl didn’t like being looked at like she was everything to someone? Ben looked at me like that, but I didn’t feel anything other than horny most of the time. Hunter and I had history, a past that wasn’t hidden; he knew all there was to know about me, and I knew all there was to know about him. The thought of him between my legs crept into my mind often. The way his glasses balanced on his nose when he was doing research, the scruff on his face because he hadn’t shaved in days because he was following a lead and neglected everything about himself until he had answers. The slight tan of his skin that seemed perpetual due to the California sun. My absolute favorite thing about him, though, was his smile. It always stretched across his face and showcased the little wrinkles at the corners of his eyes. Even when I was sad, or missing my sisters. Or my prior FBI colleagues turned best friends, Eden, Avery, and Madison. Hunter’s smile took some of that pain away.
“Sorry, your shirt is rather distracting.” Hunter whistled as he spun the keys to my car around in his hand. I glanced down and remembered that I’d thrown on a white T-shirt with no bra. My round, brown nipples were hard and peeking through. That’s what I got for having naughty thoughts about Hunter between my legs.
“It’s natural,” I mumbled, pulling on my shirt so it wasn’t so tight against me. Hunter grunted and shook his head.
“Let’s, um—” Hunter looked over the top of his glasses. “Head to your parents?” I didn’t like the awkwardness that had fallen over the room. I thought about lifting my shirt and giving him a full, unobstructed view of what was underneath. Again, bad idea. Sex and friendship never worked. But my God, was the sexual tension annoying as hell. Maybe just a little peek.
I stretched. Hunter’s eyes widened again as my nipples pressed against my shirt. Fuck. Now the tension was full-blown desire.
“Damn. I’m sorry. I’ll go change.” I got up and headed to my bedroom as Hunter called after me.
“Loving the view, but unless you’re going to stop being a tease, white shirt without a bra simply won’t do.” We played this game all the time. Flirted innocently. Lately though, there seemed to be more behind what we both said. I told him to shove something in my mouth to shut me up when I started talking incessantly, and secretly wanted it to be his dick. And he told me he’d service all my needs and to kick Ben to the curb. Well, there was no Ben, and my needs would need servicing, so….
“I’m changing, you horndog.” I quickly threw on a bra and a darker-colored shirt. “Let’s go before you hump my leg.” Hunter laughed as he shook his head.

EXCERPT

The afternoon passed quickly. Alan stayed with Catherine, the beauty team arrived and did their thing. At five, the ushers were seating the guests, and at five forty-five, the beautiful bride walked down the aisle. Pallas stood in the back next to Alan as they watched the ceremony move smoothly forward.

“See,” he whispered. “It’s fine.”

“You were right.”

“Three of my favorite words. I’m going to make you repeat them again and again.”

Pallas left to check on the catering. Silver had her trailer set up and was mixing the signature drinks; the bride’s specially hired DJ had already started setting up his equipment. Nick, who only needed to be a courtier for the procession, had already changed back into street clothes.

“Feeling better?” he asked.

“Much. I still think the server costumes are a little slutty, but that wasn’t my call. We have food, we have drinks, we have music.” She glanced over to where the DJ had set up his equipment. “I’m going to start breathing more deeply now.”

“Good.” Nick put his arm around her. “Want me to take your picture with the zebras?”

“Maybe later. Do they seem calm? They were tense when they arrived.”

“I gave them valium. They’re fine.”

She spun toward him and grabbed his arm. “Don’t joke about that. I mean it. I’m one crisis away from snapping.”

“Sorry. No drugging zebra jokes, although that really kills my best material.”

Pallas returned to the main building and waited for the service to end. She made sure everyone made their way to the reception area and was grateful when Catherine gave her a thumb’s-up.

While the wedding party took postceremony pictures, Pallas made sure the guests had plenty to drink and that the appetizers were circulating briskly. She was so focused on that she almost didn’t hear the loud shrieks from the far side of the open area. Almost.

“Oh no! They’re loose.”

Pallas hurried to the gates just in time to see three zebras running down the road.

“Should have let me drug them,” Nick murmured as Carol and Cade got in his truck and hurried after them. Pallas spotted four teenage boys laughing by the temporary fencing. She narrowed her gaze and started toward them.

She is trying to think up ways to increase profits but still be competitive in the wedding market since there are other wedding companies in Happily Inc. Because who doesn’t want to get married in a town called Happily Inc??

Nick is just killing time in Happily Inc while he’s between commissions. His brothers are there and now there is a fascinating restoration he would kill to work at while being able to flirt and chat up Pallas. And try to help her succeed with her new business.

SHE’S GOT ME BY THE FOOTBALLS…
My name is Henry Walton, and though I’ve been called many things throughout my life–tree trunk, moose, walrus–I am now six foot five, solid muscle, and the hottest defensive end in the NFL college draft. This is the moment I’ve been waiting for: fame, women, and glory.

Just one problem: I’m suddenly in a bad slump. And it started the moment I got dumped by Elle, the nerdy goddess with thick glasses, a smokin’ hot body, and a genius IQ.

So what gives? We only dated for a few weeks, and it’s not like I’ve missed her. (Much.) Regardless, all the facts point to one conclusion. Elle is my lucky nerd-charm.

Call me superstitious, but I have to get her back before I lose everything. Even if she’s the last girl I should want and she now hates my guts.

Smart Tass

Ohellno Series

Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romantic Comedy

Purchase: Amazon | Amazon UK | Amazon CA | Amazon AU | Kobo | Barnes & Noble | iBooks

From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes SMART TASS, a new Romantic Comedy.

He’s the hot quarterback all the girls want.
She’s the smart girl he loves to pick on.
And now that they’re all grown up, things are about to get geekin’ ugly…

My name is Tass. I’m smart, I’m driven, and I am determined not to let prankster Hunter Johnson continue raining on my parade. When we were little, he’d pull my hair and call me names. When we were teenagers, he’d throw food and tease me for being a flat-chested virgin.

But now that we’ve ended up at the same college, he’s out of his hot head if he thinks he can keep messing with my life. It’s like he’s fixated on me or something. Well, guess what, Mr. Amazefootball? I’m not that geeky little girl anymore and you do not screw with a smart woman.

So what’s my plan?
It’s definitely wild, and he’s about to find out…

img_2524-15

My book bestie has told me repeatedly to read Mimi Jean Pamfiloff and I finally bit the bullet and I’m SO glad I did!! This series was so funny and sweet and real.

Elle and Henry were unlikely as Tass and Hunter. Elle is the nerdy, IDGAF girl and Henry is the star football player. He’s pressured by his father to fall in line and become the next Executive Vice President in the family business but he just wants to play football, for as long as he can. Except suddenly when Elle breaks up with him, he’s having the worst time playing football. And he needs his mojo back and he’s convinced it’s related to Elle.

Elle has too many other worries to worry about the football player she had helping to de-stress herself. But she can’t deny that she does miss having him around at times…

A great book that gives you more of a look into Tass and Hunter and getting to know Henry and Elle’s story.

5 stars!

She’s Cold. He’s Hot. When they get together they burn.
Evaleen Bechmann is too busy running Human Resources for the billion-dollar company, Mimir, to even consider dating. As for emotions, she refuses to discuss that
too. It doesn’t matter anyway. She’s invisible to men, especially one man in particular. Evaleen is fine with that. Not everyone gets their happily ever after, that’s only for novels.

Edgar Mirmir is a Nordic god to some, a tech-savvy genius to others, and to women – he is everything they desire. His life should be perfect, and everything he has ever dreamed of… only it’s not. One woman haunts him.

When he first saw her, her electric blue eyes shone with defiance, fear, and sorrow. He
wanted to reach out to her, but she disappeared. Until one day he turned around
and there she was.

“It’s ten forty-five, almost time for the Brooks Bomb. I told Payne on Friday that this would be your first day back but he had meetings
out of the office all morning.” I said.
I turned to head back to my office but stopped as Morgana yelled out for me. “Maybe I’ll take an early lunch. You up for it?”
I was about to tell her no, that I had some work that needed to get done when the elevator doors opened and out walked the last person I
wanted to see, ever, Edgar.
Then I would be forced to talk to him about the new hire for his department. Something easily done via email. Instead of face-to-face where
I would have to try desperately to control my hormones. It was hard to not turn
into a giggling mess with his deep voice acting like a Siren song. I always tried to be aloof, but I had a feeling he didn’t care anyway.
Before he saw me, I turned back toward Morgana and nodded my head. “Sounds great.”
“Okay, let’s go. Oh wait, is that Edgar? Hey, Edgar.” I was surprised by how fast Morgana could move considering her height. She was like a red blur blazing past me and before I knew it, she had Edgar deep in conversation. His perfectly sculpted blond hair just brushed

the tops of his ears as he ran his fingers through them.
He had long hair when I first started to work here, but last year he cut it. I appreciated both styles, but I missed his long hair. Something
about it made me want to run my fingers through it, fist it in my fingers, and
scream “mine” to anyone who passed.
I sounded barbaric. And sad. Mostly sad.
Holding my ground, I refused to move closer, not on principle because what was I arguing about? Lunch? No, I was hungry, but I
lacked the strength to resist Edgar’s charm. Especially when he smiled and
those dimples appeared.
Dimples of sin I called them. I wanted to lick them so much. “Hey, Evaleen, Edgar is going to join us for lunch.” Morgana waved me over with happiness radiating out of her pores. I wish I could glow with happiness. The only time I glowed was after I had danced a few songs at a club. Also, my makeup usually melted by then, and my pit stains were large

enough by that point that tadpoles had been known to form, even when I wore a tank top.
What I’m saying was I got swamp pits but, hey, I glowed.
Edgar’s dimples were on full debauchery mode. That was, until he saw me. I guess Morgana left that part out when she invited him to lunch. He probably would have declined the offer if he knew I would be there.
“Dreary Evaleen Bechmann? No, thank you,” he’d say. I was always surprised when he knew my name considering how unhappy he appeared around me.
It wasn’t just his dwindling smile but how his eyes gazed at anything but me. Like he was trying to find an escape from the worst thing
ever, me.
“Great.”
It wasn’t great. It especially wasn’t wonderful when Morgana conveniently stood by the elevator buttons when we were moving down to the bottom floor, forcing Edgar and me to stand next to each other. I could smell
his cologne.
His mouth watering, manly man scent.
I took deep breaths, not because I was about to hyperventilate (but that was an idea to get out of this lunch), but because I wanted to inhale all of him.
My mouth watered and I knew my neck was red without even glancing into the reflection of the metal elevator doors.
I turned my head to face the wall and tried to fill my lungs with non-sex god air, but it wasn’t working. Perhaps if I scooted toward the
wall, inching farther away from him, I wouldn’t want to lick him so much?
Thankfully, I didn’t have to make that decision as the elevator dinged and opened on the ground floor. Cool, platonic air breezed
around me and I began to feel human again.
That was until he placed his hand on the small of my back to guide me out of the elevator, causing my lady parts to spasm uncontrollably. I think they were having a seizure from too much hotness.
I coughed. Actually, I tried to suppress an eruption of humiliating giggles that would have embarrassed twelve-year-old girls, with a
cough.
It worked. He dropped his hand and the lower half of my body went into a deep depression. The top half of my body felt relief tinged with
bitterness.
The chill of the Chicago air solidified me. What if I’m not sexy or beautiful enough for him to notice like he did every other woman he
came in contact with? He slept around anyway. Even if he did seduce me, I would
just end up heartbroken anyway.
“Here we are. Chuck’s Sausage Shack. I am so thankful I can get a good sausage right next door anytime I want.” Morgana smiled as she held the door for us.
“I sure do love to suck on tubular meat during my breaks at work,” I said without hesitation.
That time I coughed for real. I hadn’t meant for that to come out of my mouth. It was there in my head and then my mouth decided it was
the perfect time to give it a voice. I blame Morgana. Who says they are thankful to get good sausage? She was practically begging me to embarrass myself like that.
“Let’s hope,” Edgar said. My eyes narrowed at him but he had turned from me.
Cool as always. Nothing fazed him, not even a frumpy co-worker making blatant and not very good penis jokes.
He was just casually glancing around the place scoping out a table.
“Crap. Looks like I got to head back to work. I just got a text from Mr. Payne telling me he needs to meet with me since it’s my first day
back. Sorry.” Morgana frowned, shoving her phone back into her purse and pushing
out the door.
After watching the door close, I turned to Edgar. He was staring at me, grimacing.
“Look, if you have something to do we can just order food to go,” I said, trying to offer him a way out. It was obvious back at the office
he was only agreeing to lunch because he thought it would be him and Morgana.
I’m not blind. Morgana was gorgeous and sexy and exactly what a player like Edgar would be into. I think it’s a little shitty that he would go after someone his best friend, Payne, was obviously into, but that was none of my
business.
Now we can order food for lunch since we are already here and then go our separate ways.
Edgar smirked. His dimples deepening as his gaze drifted languidly to my lips. “Now why would I miss out on the chance of watching you suck on some tubular meat?”
My lady parts were seizing again.

Getting caught reading Fifty Shades of Grey in the parking lot at work wasn’t the best
way to meet her boss. A boss she didn’t know she had. A boss who now had the
job she had been waiting to apply for (and win) for the past year.
So Lydia Charles was having a very bad day. And it was only 7:32 a.m.
Tap tap tap. She looked up, startled, to find a pair of bright green eyes, shaded by a
hand, peering in the window of her little red car. He caught the book cover and
smirked.
Oh, screw off, she thought, shoving her car key in the ignition and turning it on so she
could roll down the window. As if it weren’t bad enough being caught reading
Mommy Porn (and she wasn’t even a mom), her last few minutes of freedom before
enslavement as a corporate drone were being bothered by some anonymous
guy.
Light brown hair with a nice wave to it and those crazy-green eyes. A perfect nose. Broad shoulders set off by one hand on his forehead, one on his hip, making his
forearms pop a bit, the muscles from neck to shoulder joint stretching like an
athlete’s. It was like looking at one of those guys on television, an actor in
a show you watch not for the plot, but for the eye candy with a spark of smarts
and wit.
If he told her he was a firefighter or a detective, she’d believe him. He had the look of
a man who takes care of himself because he has to in order to function well at
his hands-on job.
He works out, she surmised as the window scrolled down. Boring business-casual uniform of Dockers and a button-down shirt. Couldn’t see his shoes but she guessed
something from Land’s End.
Middle management.
Which was one step above her. Gritting her teeth, she wondered what this was about.
