Max Donovan is hot geek chic! He’s gamer nerd but totally hot in a rebel way. And arguing with him works Payton up to a lather. Which Payton needs from being so work-driven that she needs a little mental stimuli to help the physical stimuli ;-).

Payton is working in a man’s world and is trying to kick ass at it and earn the respect of all her male colleagues. As well as a hefty bonus if she brings in the most new business. So Max’s game/console will be a HUGE jump to getting that bonus. If only Max didn’t drive her absolutely batty.

They say opposites attract and boy do Payton and Max throw sparks. They are constantly challenging each other verbally and you can just FEEL the secual tension leaping off the page. Their story is hot and sweet and seriously sexy.

Blood roared in his ears, and need crashed over him. He cupped her chin. Those warm eyes gazed up at him, those beautiful lips parted. When her tongue flicked out to dampen them, he couldn’t take it anymore. He touched his mouth to hers. So sweet. So incredibly sweet.

We’re a product of our upbringing. At least that’s how Dylan sees life. He sees himself as his drunken mother’s caregiver and the “trailer park trash” he was grown up being called. Nicole has a similar background but she has chosen to take the lessons out of it and not let it define her.

Dylan likes and admires how bright and young and fresh Nicole is and he doesn’t want to get involved with her and “sully” her with his life. Nicole just wants Dylan to see himself as she sees him and not as the drunk’s son.

This story was just so much. It was a love story but it was also a story about perception. How we perceive ourselves versus how others perceive us and how often our perception of ourselves can be our worst flaw.

I can’t wait to read more of this series!!

Indie is a genius medical student who is doing her rounds in the Patch Ward. When in walk 4 of the hottest male specimens EVER. Indie went to an all-girls boarding school and jumped 3 grades when she was younger, so she’s always been more reserved. She doesn’t know how to handle it when flirty, playboy, mega sports star Camden shows interest in her. She has always been a nose to the grindstone and by the book but Camden just might be able to sway her.

I loved this story! Indie is an awkward, sheltered virgin doctor who doesn’t know what to do when hotness is interested in her. And Camden, for being the playboy, ends up truly falling for Indie.

I definitely want to see more of these brothers! And Belle!

I loved the concept of this book upon reading the synopsis and the story exceeded that!
Roman has always been the gruff, quiet, demanding businessman because he has had to be. Any softness he’s shown, he wants his brother to take credit for it. However, he has also closed himself off from people, relationships, friends and just general social niceties. Until that sweet girl from Nebraska is too sweet and pure for him not to bend.
Cara is sweet and naive and just a general joy for Roman. She sees below his tough guy exterior to the man underneath who can be caring and sweet and generous. And she wants him to explore that more.
This story was just amazing! Roman was such a curmudgeon and Cara just brings out the sweetness in him. More for everyone to see.

I love these rugby books!!
First off, Dex can be a sweetheart but he can also be a bit of an asshole. So know that going in. But he also knows that he’s hot for Harper and isn’t going to let her step brother talk down to her curvy-ness. So he steps up and lets her brother hear him ask Harper out.
Harper has always seen what she is, a big girl. And if she didn’t, her step mother and brother would make sure to remind her. Until Dex. Dex makes her feel pretty, sexy and worthy.
But Dex plans to only focus on rugby until he has to retire. Not women. Except Harper isn’t what he was expecting.
I loved this story even though Dex was a bit of a tool at times. But he loves Harper for who she is and how he feels with her.

Shannon had been surprised by how much she’d missed Steve when she’d gone home for her eldest brother Cole’s wedding. She and Steve hadn’t spent more than a few stolen moments together during the weeks she was here for her first assignment. Usually she’d catch him working on equipment, or in his yard, before she returned to her uncle’s ranch in the evenings. He’d captivated her with his passion for, and endless knowledge about, all things wilderness related. And he was different from most of the guys she knew. When she’d been offered the assignment and the cabin, she’d accepted without hesitation. She’d missed Steve too much to deny the attraction, and she wanted to see if something might come of it.

Now that she was here, her body was thrumming at the mere sight of him. Given that she’d actually asked him about his sex life—and nearly died on the spot when the question slipped out—she desperately needed to rein herself in.

He wiped sweat from his brow, his tanned skin glistening in the morning sun. “Need anything from town?” he asked, setting another log on the stump.

She couldn’t pry her eyes from his rippling abs and his bulbous biceps flexing with every move. “Town?”

He cocked a smile and hoisted the ax again. “Town. You know, the place where people who like Pinterest live?”

She forced her eyes away, glancing at the trees swaying in the breeze, the rocks at her feet, anywhere but at him.

“I know what town is. I’m just surprised you’re going there.” Everyone knew Steve hated to leave his precious mountain.

“Gotta take care of some business.”

Going into town was a big deal. Unlike a quick trip to the store from her apartment in Peaceful Harbor, the drive into town took at least thirty to forty-five minutes, depending on which town he was going to. She’d realized last night she’d forgotten two very important supplies. Pop-Tarts and toilet paper. She could probably live with the single roll of toilet paper she had in the cabin for another few days if she needed to, but Pop-Tarts were pretty much a necessity. Besides, maybe she could convince Steve to help her scout gray-fox habitats at dusk. Perfect!

“Can I come with you?” she asked hopefully. “I need to pick up a few things.”

“I’ll get them for you. What do you need?”

She bit her lower lip, willing herself not to fib. But if she asked him to pick up what she really needed, he’d leave and she’d have to go searching for habitats by herself. Now that she’d thought about going later with her yummy mountain man, she’d already settled on it in her mind.

“It’s girl stuff. You won’t want to get it.” So much for not fibbing. “Can I please go with you?” She gave him her best pleading look. “I promise not to talk your ear off.” Fib, fib, fib! She had no control over what came out of her mouth, especially around him.

He muttered under his breath and set the ax against the stump. “I’m not making a hundred stops.”

She leapt with delight and ran over to hug him. Her heel slipped out of her boot and she stumbled into him in a half hug, half full-body-draped-over-Steve embrace. His skin was hot, his body was hard, and getting harder by the second. He smelled like man and musk, and…she was still plastered against him.

She cleared her throat and managed, “Thank you.” Using his chest for leverage—yum, yum—she found her footing and pressed her heel back into her boot. “One stop. That’s it. Promise.”

“You’re excited to get those supplies.” He picked up the logs he’d chopped and piled them on his forearm like they were toothpicks.

“I’m just excited to be back. Maybe at dusk you can help me map out the habitats? It’ll be fun to scope them out together.”

He gave her a curious look. “Haven’t heard anyone describe hanging out with me as fun in a long time.”

“Then you’re hanging out with losers, and I’m taking that as a yes.” She grabbed the coffee mugs, unable to stop smiling.

“I’m leaving in twenty minutes.”

“I’ll be back lickety-split.” With a bounce in her step, she headed toward her cabin and heard him mutter, “Lickety-split,” followed by a chuckle.

Steve is just swoony!! ❤️ How he tries to keep himself so sheltered and looking out for his Butterfly is just so sweet! Shannon and Steve have both been into each other since a family wedding and they’re trying their hardest not to fall for each other.

HERE’S A TASTE OF NITRO & TATUM

I sat next to him. I wasn’t sure why except that for the first time since I’d met him, he seemed like he needed someone. Even if it was just to sit with him. I stole a glance at his face. It was hard to find skin under all the dried blood. “I take it the other guy lost.”

He held my gaze for a long time before answering me. God, how I wondered what thoughts ran through Nitro’s mind. It felt like he either ran from them or got lost in them, but I wasn’t convinced he was often comfortable with them. Something we had in common. “That depends on your definition of winning.”

I didn’t need him to spell it out for me. And I didn’t push him for more. Instead, I walked into the bathroom. Locating a clean washer in the drawer, I wet it and walked back out to him. Standing in between his legs, I began the task of cleaning up his face.

This was something I knew well. My brother had often turned up on my doorstep in this state. Caring for him had always been my responsibility. How could it not be when his journey in life had been dictated by my own?

Nitro hissed when I accidentally pressed too hard on his cheek. His hand landed on mine and he halted my progress. “I can do this myself.”

I pulled my hand away from his face. “Yeah, you can, but I’m doing it, so just let me.”

“Always arguing with me,” he murmured, allowing me to go on.

I worked in silence and when I’d cleaned the blood from his face, I said, “I’m going to get some ice for your face. Wait here.”

I hurried down to the bar because I figured he had work to get back to and no time to waste. Kree loaded me up with ice and a towel to wrap it in. When I arrived back in his room, he was in the shower. He didn’t take longer than a few minutes and when he exited the bathroom wearing only a towel around his waist, I sucked in a breath at the magnificence of his body.

Nitro was a powerhouse of hard muscle that went hand-in-hand with his fearless warrior instincts. Standing before me, almost naked, his masculinity caught me off guard and a rush of desire hit me. My thoughts stalled and I momentarily forgot what I was doing. All I could focus on was the throbbing need deep in my core. A new hum filled my entire being, unlike anything I’d ever felt before.

Damn.

Shit.

No.

“You got ice?” His deep voice snapped me from my hypnosis.

“Ah… yeah,” I mumbled, shoving the towel with the ice in it at him, almost dropping it as I did so.

He frowned, his eyes searching mine. “You good, Vegas?”

Fuck, no, I wasn’t.

I was fucked.

Completely.

I nodded, swallowing hard. “I’m good.”

I was so far from good.

I wanted something I didn’t want to want.

I wanted him.

How the hell did my world turn in such a short space of time? What the fuck triggered that? Because whatever it was, I needed to un-trigger it.

He took the ice from me and turned to head back into the bathroom, grabbing clothes on the way. I was helpless to do anything but watch him walk away. My eyes stayed glued to the powerful muscles that built his back. And that ass. God, that ass. Even covered in a towel it was hard not to stare at.

I was so engrossed in his back and ass that he caught me off guard again when he dropped the towel and dressed without closing the bathroom door.

Fuck it, I was out. I yanked the bedroom door open and left as fast as I could. I needed to find a quiet corner and gather my thoughts. I needed to wipe everything that had just happened from my memory. Somehow, though, I suspected Nitro was not a man to ever be wiped from a woman’s memory.

I have read some of the stories released in this box set previously but I still loved to re-read them. And they fit in so well with the other stories in this set.

Corrupted – A hot, sexy start to the Deathstalkers MC series. Poor Lucy and the horrible events she goes through will just break your heart. But the love that the MC shows her and the familial relationships help soothe that hurt.

Keeping Her – Julia and Brian have a relationship in high school. Until Brian breaks Julia’s heart. She takes off overseas without talking/listening to Brian. But then 6 years later, they meet up again and they both want answers.

Fall For Me – This book is another heartwrencher. Madison is going to college, has a boyfriend she adores (well so we think) but starts spending more time with Carter. Chris (her current boyfriend) doesn’t take that so well and we get to see how sad and hurtful Madison and Chris’ relationship is and how much of a hero Carter is.
