This book grabbed me from page 1! I was immediately pulled into Abbygail and Oliver’s story. They’re best friends who through events (not telling what!) fall out of their friendship. It’s through a lot of misunderstandings, misinterpretations and just spite that they allow themselves to forget their friendship and fall apart.

This book will just consume you because you are reading along with the story and just knowing you want them to get together but other events make that impossible. So frequently I wanted to smack both characters and make them wise up.

This does end with a cliffhanger that I wasn’t expecting. So I will nicely bug for when book 2 comes out so I can assuage my curiosity.

First off, I have to thank Max and Monroe for allowing me to receive the ARCs, teasers and excerpts of their amazing series to help promote it!

And I must thank one of my favorite gingers, Ginger Snaps aka Julie for recommending and demanding I read Tapping the Billionaire. We always swap book recommendations and I can’t thank her enough for this one. This book and series is an experience that everyone should have.

This story is such a fantastic ending for each of these couples. That makes me sad just typing that. This story was sad and happy and funny and I’m just so glad to have gotten to read each of these books. And Lexi is her little fact spouting self. Thatch is his amazingly funny and sexy self. I need to read this series again!

Another insta-love by Alexa Riley and oh how I love it! Christmas (never heard that name but love it) is a mall elf who absolutely loves the Christmas holiday and season. She’s just being her elfy self when she’s called into the manager’s office and asked to work a separate party and that she was requested by the CEO himself.

Nic (aka The Grinch) isn’t one for holidays or Christmas. He’s been thinking about finding a suitable wife and produce an heir when he sees Christmas at one of his malls. Immediately he is taken with her and MUST have her. He creates a party for the sole purpose to get Christmas in his house and never let her leave.

I think what I like best about these insta-loves is the lack of drama. Drama and events in a book can be good but sometimes I just want the HEA without all the agonizing.

Review ~ Double Take ~ by ~ Allie Redman

If you like Criminal Minds or other psychological thrillers, you’ll want to grab this book! The suspense is killer and you just keep reading and reading to find out what’s going to happen and who is or isn’t involved!
Dawson is called back to his small hometown to help catch a serial killer. Dawson has a history with the killer as it seems to be the same person who killed his younger sister and her friend years ago. And this killer is enjoying toying with Dawson and leaving hints and clues that it’s someone who grew up with Dawson.

That’s all I’m saying because you need to read it to fully enjoy the experience.

My mouth snaps closed when I finally spot my nephew. Sitting next to him is a man wearing a leather jacket with a Def Leppard T-shirt peeking through. He’s holdaing a guitar and showing Eli how to make a chord. My heart starts to pound as I watch the new music teacher interact with Eli and the rest of the kids. He’s soft-spoken and patient, and when the kids strum their guitars in perfect unison, his face morphs into the most toe-curling smile I’ve ever seen on a man. Suddenly, he lifts his head and his eyes find mine.

“Wow,” I whisper.

He doesn’t look like a teacher. He looks like a rock star, with his grungy clothes and his jet-black hair that’s just long enough to curl around the nape of his neck.

When class is dismissed, the mothers rush toward the new music teacher, shaking his hand and offering their business cards, just in case he ever needs to reach them. “You should come with us!”

Caleb’s eyes dart to mine.

MY REVIEW

I hadn’t ever heard of this series before but after reading this series over the past day and a half, I’m so glad I did!!!

Starting this series, you get so wrapped up in their stories and their lives. Yes, Paige and Clay are the first 2 books but you get to meet all their friends and learn their friendships and bonds. It’s not just the story of the couple, its the story of all their friends and how each event affects them all.

The one thing that kinda threw me was just how much happens to these poor people. One person’s problems get solved and another’s start. And they’re bigger and badder than the previous ones.

I want everyone to go start this series but just fair warning, it will make you want more and die for the next couples’. Not telling you who, you have to read and find out!

Now that Amanda is single, Jordan is going to make his interest clear to Amanda. But then there are other girls, gossip and family that put doubt in both Amanda and Jordan’s heads.

Jordan’s family isn’t really involved in his life other than to force him into things. Amanda’s life is like an after school special. This just points to Jordan more differences they have.

This does end on a cliffhanger so don’t say I didn’t warn you! I can’t wait to read the next one and find out what happens.
