I needed this conclusion to the Lecara Duet so much! I needed to know that Luke and Gia got their HEA. Especially after that cliffie! So yes, you do need to read Her Royal Fling before reading His Royal Plan.

Luke and Gia were totally entwined with each other. Yes they lost their way briefly. But they were immediately connected from the beginning. And thankfully everything was wrapped up in a tidy bow – well almost but that’s more about the ending…

I love that Gia stuck out on her own, even though she was still in the County, but she wasn’t going to stay in a place where people didn’t believe her. She was going to take care of herself while she decided what she wanted to do about Luke.

I hope we find out more about some of the people in this duet – I think a few of them have interesting storylines coming their way!

“Daddy’s here!” Jett shrieks from the first floor and, just like that, my stomach drops to my toes.

Lane winks. “You got this, gorgeous.”

I know I do. But that doesn’t mean I have to like any part of it.

When he turns away, I paste on my game face and chink my armor firmly into place, just like I do every other Friday. I also send up a prayer for extra grace this week, because these exchanges seem to be getting harder and harder. I’m not sure why, but I feel the unease creeping in a little more with every swap.

“Mama, come on!” Jett yells again, and I pull in a deep breath. Shoulders back, girlfriend.

I make it halfway down the stairs when my son yanks the front door open and launches himself at the brick wall of a man standing on the other side.

Big arms wrap around our little boy and lift him from the floor, while my lungs hold every ounce of air in my body hostage.

Well, welcome back Molly McLain! Jesse and Hayden were quite the “hi I’m back to writing!” Even little Jett was a heartbreaker. I was wrapped in the story of Jesse and Hayden from the very beginning. And all of Jesse’s siblings and all the other residents of Cole Creek.

Jesse makes me think of a gentle giant. He is just so hard not to love. Everything he does is to help others or for Jett. Even if it causes him emotional pain. He is just such a sweetheart, how could anyone not love him? Plus I love seeing someone on the cover that I follow on TikTok. So that’s always fun.

Oh Hayden. She was trying to do everything for Jett and to make sure that coparenting with Jesse was as easy as possible. Which can’t be that easy with everything they were all dealing with.

I can’t wait to see who the next story will be about. Which of Jesse’s siblings is next to fall??

I was all in with Jordan and Grant from the first chapter. Sounds like Grant and Jordan were just as into each other as I was in reading the start of their story. Jordan reminds me of myself, having to prove how strong she is, jumping in to help someone, regardless of her own well-being. Which drives Grant bananas.

Jordan and Grant meet unconventionally and it is somewhat illicit in the fact that Grant is a higher rank than Jordan. But I truthfully love them together! It almost seems to be seamless that they get together and start a relationship, even with someone watching them.

I have sooooo many thoughts about who it is and why but I’m keeping those to myself. I can’t wait to read more of Jordan and Grant and finding out if I was right!

And Camden lives in the US, thousands of miles from Ally.

It’s amazing that they hadn’t thought of each other that way until the alcohol. But then they fit together so seamlessly. Even though everything was against them, they somehow made it work. And I’m so glad to have read their story!!!

I loved meeting Luca and Meadow! And they were not like my preconceived notions thought they would be based on the synopsis. In my head, I figured Luca was a playboy, a different girl every night of the week, and Meadow was just as unserious. Which before things happen, Luca had been that way, at least somewhat. And then everything changed. Fast-forward years later, when Luca is the businessman and just focused on that until Meadow.

Meadow isn’t looking for anything long term but all bets are off with Luca. I love that kind of love. They were both so consumed with each other and just knew they met their “one”. And they have to fight for it and each other even though they knew they were meant to be.

This was a great story and while there was some slang I’ve never heard of, I was able to pick up the gist of what the intent was. Definitely a re-read book for me! An insta-love (almost) but a full-length story!

I read through the series this week after a busy work week. And this series and all the characters and Burns of course, were the perfect attention grabber for me. I could sink into the world of Peak Valley and not worry about work. Which was HUGE.

I’m so glad to finally know about Sarah and Eric. I was so intrigued by the little snippets here and there in Clint and Luke’s books so it was nice to get their whole story. Both have been involved in the other stories but this was the chance to finally get to hear their history and get to know them. Both as a couple and individually.

I’m so glad that I read the other stories first but it’s definitely not needed, so don’t feel you have to. I’m curious to know who Jax ends up with. I have thoughts but I’ll just leave them unsaid.

I cannot believe this series is Amanda Lee Dixon’s first because this is definitely the writing of someone truly talented and a seasoned-author.

Holy wow was I not expecting this! While it was a little slow-going (for me) in the beginning, it definitely had me sucked in very quickly!

Poppy is such a great character who you can tell has lived through some tragedies. Her story just breaks your heart. And Beau was the perfect person to be her hero. He has been a protector for years and something in Poppy brings out the protector in him.

Beau and Poppy both have had some sad times in their lives and horrific events. They both bring some baggage to this relationship. Much as they both start to fight off a relationship.

Jane Blythe is a new author to me so this was a great introduction that I will add to my rotation.

I loved this story and Andie so much!! I felt her struggles on such a deep level. From being so work-driven and being so focused on doing a good job and getting a promotion, only to be passed up by someone who doesn’t have the same knowledge and skill set that Andie did. And working so hard and needing a MASSIVE break. Although I don’t have friends in Hawaii that I can take care of their business and chill in paradise.

This storyline and characters were just great! So often stories leave bits and pieces out but this new series is fantastic. I didn’t have any questions or anything that was unclear and confused me.

I cannot wait for more of this series and will definitely be on the look out! And I will be definitely reading this when I feel like Andie did.

Four years ago, after experiencing a great loss in her life, Anna Gomez, who writes as Christine Brae, decided that it was time to channel her feelings on paper and see where it would take her. She never imagined that her words would touch the hearts of many women with the same stories to tell. With an established fan base and a dedicated following, Anna Gomez has published six novels, three of which have won Literary Awards: The Light in the Wound series, Insipid, In this Life, Eight Goodbyes and the Year I Left . Her books have debuted in the top 1,000 at Amazon and continued to rank in the Top 100 in the months following their release. Anna Gomez is a hopeless romantic who writes about real life, flawed characters and the saving grace of unconditional love. Her experience of living and growing up in a foreign country plays a large part in her stories. Her full-time career and ability to travel extensively also add flair and individuality to the vividly written settings in her books. They transport the reader to faraway places and make them feel like they’ve been there before. Anna’s inspiration stems from the people she meets and the places that she’s seen. Her stories are realistic and honest, thought-provoking and impactful. Her love for poetry is evident in her writing style. Anna holds a senior executive position at one of the world’s largest global advertising agencies and lives in Chicago with her husband and three children.

Kristoffer Polaha is best-known for his long starring role in the critically acclaimed series Life Unexpected (The CW). Other TV series credits include Get Shorty with Ray Romano and Chris O’Dowd, the limited series Condoropposite William Hurt and Max Irons, The CW’s Ringer (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Valentine, as well as North Shore(FOX). In addition to co-starring with Rainn Wilson in Backstrom (FOX), he had a multi-season role on the acclaimed series Mad Men (AMC) and Castle (ABC). Polaha is also well-known for starring in Hallmark Channel movies such as Dater’s Handbook with Meghan Markle, and the Mystery 101 franchise on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Polaha first received attention for his portrayal of John F. Kennedy, Jr. in the TV movie, America’s Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story, opposite Portia de Rossi. He has appeared in numerous independent features, including Where Hope Grows, Devil’s Knot (Colin Firth, Reese Witherspoon), and the Tim Tebow film, Run the Race. Polaha has a featured role opposite Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman 1984 and in Jurassic World: Dominion. In addition to his work as an actor, producer, and director, Polaha is branching into the book world by co-authoring a new series. He is also involved with several charitable organizations, including being an ambassador for World Vision, a board member for HerArtsInAction, and The Polaha Family Circus Foundation. Polaha was born in Reno, Nevada, and he is married to actress Julianne Morris. They have three sons.
