Mackenzie Walker is attempting to enjoy the last of her siblings’ weddings when her long-lost first love, Alexander “Zan” Elliott, crashes the reception. During the last ten years she’s cultivated her reputation as tough and unsentimental, but one glimpse of Zan softens her heart and sets her pulse racing. But he claims to be a short-timer in the area and she’ll never admit—not even to herself—she’s been carrying a torch for him all this time.

Zan Elliott has business at Blue Arrow Lake and then he’ll go right back to his wandering-the-world life as a documentary filmmaker. But seeing the Walkers again, seeing Mac again, brings back the best of childhood memories. There are lessons he learned then too, however. Love means loss and starting things up once more with Mac might ultimately hurt them both. Yet battling his feelings is getting more difficult by the day…

Winter is anything but cold in the snowy mountains surrounding beautiful Blue Arrow Lake as a reunion between two former lovers sparks a brand new fire.

This is an enhanced version of a book previously published as CAN’T FIGHT THIS FEELING and includes extras.

TBRreview.png

Another one of my favorite type of books. The girl gets her heartbroken, turns into super tough woman. Mac had hardened her heart and her resolve after her boyfriend Zan broke her heart. She’s tried and failed to have other relationships and so she’s done with it. Zan comes back into town, excited to see Mac and eager to pick up where their romance ended. But Zan still doesn’t plan on staying in town and Mac doesn’t want to be a fling.

I love Christie Ridgway’s writing and it’s been one I’ve read for years. This whole series, while standalones, will be more I re-read.

Adonis_TEASER1

Paige Carter’s fling with the dark-haired, green-eyed Greek was short, but it rocked her world. Her only regret was not finding out whether she’d ever see him again before he returned to Greece.

Apollo Lakkas earned his degree and was thrilled to return to Greece to begin work with his family’s shipping business. His only regret is the way he left the sweet blonde he met in Vegas—who may or may not be his wife.

When an unexpected proposal throws Paige into a panic, she packs a bag for Athens and does the one thing she knows she must do before she can face any kind of future…reconcile her past.

The moment their eyes meet once again, Paige and Apollo feel the same spark that ignited them down the aisle. Will they be able to plan a future together or is their love destined to be nothing but a bittersweet memory?

Adonis_PROMO2

TBRreview.png

It looks like Paige is going to get proposed to (again) by her boyfriend. Paige just isn’t in the mindset to be with him, at least at this point, for the rest of her life. She wants adventures and he just can’t give her that. Plus, there’s the fact of her spring break fling that she may or may not be married to. She kinda needs to wrap that up first.

So she flies to Greece to connect with Apollo and resolve her possible marriage and have her a little vacation as well. Except she is still as attracted to Apollo as she was 3 years ago and all her feelings come rushing back. Apollo feels the same way. His maybe wife is back and he’s not letting her go without a fight.

This is another one of my guilty pleasures – a secret or forgotten possible marriage. I love when either the woman or man are planning on getting engaged but have a past to deal with. And that partner won’t let them go – not in a creepy way (sorry I’m listening to true crime podcasts).

5 stars!

Kat’s a typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max). When she’s not writing, she’s either scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) – traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She hopes to retire there one day so she can spend her days writing books on the beach.

Kat has been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. She is also a freelance hockey writer, covering her favorite team, the Florida Panthers, and any other teams that have an interesting story. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There’s something enticing about hockey players and romance…

Review Tour ~ Kiss My Boots ~ by ~ Harper Sloan

image001

In this second of the sultry, Western-set Coming Home series from New York Times bestselling author Harper Sloan, Quinn Davis might finally have a shot at her own happily-ever-after—but will she let love in, or will she tell it to go ahead and kiss her boots?

Quinn Davis prefers to live her life quietly. She’s the stereotypical tomboy with two overprotective big brothers who have always been there to protect her, especially from devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery comes riding into town. Their first meeting, however, is far from something out of a fairy tale and only further convinces Quinn that men aren’t worth her time.

The only place Tate Montgomery ever truly felt at home growing up was during the long, sweltering summer months he spent at his Gram and Paw’s farm in Pine Oak, Texas. Now, Tate has returned to his childhood sanctuary seeking a fresh start—but if he’s being entirely honest, he’s not just back for the wranglers and Stetsons. During those summers, Quinn was a friend-turned-young-love who Tate lost when life threw him a curveball and he cut all ties to his past; but all it takes is one glance at the raven-haired beauty he did his best to forget for him to realize just how much he’s been missing….

 TBRreview

I love Quinn! I hadn’t read Lost Rider first but that’s where we meet Quinn since she’s Leigh’s BFF.

Quinn is a sassy tomboy, raised by her older brothers who are constantly hovering. She’s not interested in romance – especially not with her ex who comes back to town to stay. And seems determined to win her back forever.

Tate made some dumb choices when he was younger, including leaving the only woman he’s ever loved. He’s back in town, he’s staying and he wants Quinn back. He’s got a lot of work ahead of him to win her back though.

I love Harper’s Southern writing. I’ve never lived in the South so her writing makes me feel like what I’m able to live in the South – or at least be privy to how living is there.

He’s arrogant, sexy and aloof. And now I have to write his book.

totally sexy. With his incredible mind, extraordinary body, and a bank account
with more zeroes than you can count, he would give the sharks from Shark Tank a
run for their money. Everyone from Wall Street investors to drooling house
wives wants a piece of him. Everyone except Libby Hanson, that is.

Libby Hanson is a crafty, curvy bombshell, more accustomed to macrame and

lands an interview that will change her life forever.

Jack needs a book written—and fast. His sexy new car is about to be released on

need to discover the real Jack—the man behind the inventions, the man who’s
steadily stealing her heart. Jack has secrets—lots of them—and Libby will do
anything to get the scoop. With Jack’s true nature coming to the surface, Libby

Excerpt

“You have no idea what I do, do you?” I asked her point
blank. No point beating around the bush for much longer. And I was curious how
she’d react. Most people would stutter and immediately deny their lack of
knowledge.
I wasn’t surprised when Libby’s reaction was different.
Everything about her was different.
She laughed, the sound a little nervous and a little
sheepish. “I don’t, I’m sorry,” she confessed. “I don’t like to come so
unprepared, but I’m afraid no one was very forthcoming with details about the
job. Just that someone needed a ghostwriter.”
“Only you didn’t know who that someone was,” I leaned back,
watching her.
I couldn’t help it. There was something about her that
captivated me. And I was the kind of man that paid attention when my gut told
me to. I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I had if I hadn’t developed a pretty
damn good set of instincts. And my instincts were saying that Libby Hanson
deserved a closer look.
Two red spots had appeared on her cheeks. “I’m afraid to say
I didn’t know who you were when I walked in. And I still don’t.”
Even my name hadn’t sparked any recognition. Either Libby
had been living under a rock for the past few years or she just didn’t travel
in the kind of circles that discussed the latest tech inventions. Or the latest
millionaire gossip mill. It was incredibly refreshing. Everyone else I had
interviewed for the ghostwriter job had nearly fallen over themselves, quoting
other articles or pieces that had been written about me, trying to impress me.
And that was if they were men. If they were women, they tended to start batting
their eyelashes and making unsubtle attempts to display various body parts.
Even though it had been happening for years – ever since my name and photo were
on the cover of Forbes – I still couldn’t get used to women throwing themselves
at me with such aggression. I’d always been lucky with the ladies, but the fame
and the money made it out of control. I didn’t like fawning, I just found it
annoying. And I really didn’t want to work with someone who was going to try to
flatter and butter me up, even if it was for the sake of the book. A book which
I had been loathed to do in the first place. I hated talking about myself. I
wanted to talk about the work, about what I wanted to accomplish, not which
supermodel I was rumored to be dating or all the money I was making. My
personal life was just that – personal. And I intended to keep that side of me
out of the press and out of this book.
Which is why I found Libby’s lack of information appealing,
and I saw the opportunity to avoid the usual pitfalls I often found when being
interviewed. She didn’t know me, didn’t know my reputation. She would be able
to approach this book without any preconceived notions. Without any agenda. It
could actually be about the work, and not about me.
For the first time the book didn’t seem like the worst idea
ever.
“You’re hired,” I told her.

TBRreview

Libby needs money and she’s written books so she’s a perfect fit to ghost-write Jack Willis’ autobiography, right? Except Libby knows NOTHING about Jack’s world or even who he is. Which Jack decides is perfect. A biographer who doesn’t know about him so he can direct the narrative? She’s perfect!! It doesn’t hurt that he can’t keep his eyes off her too.

I really liked reading this story. Libby seemed so normal and everyday. She likes to craft and writes crafting books. And she is sassy and spunky and curvy and I love that about her.

4.5 stars!

About Banger!

She wants an easy summer fling. He wants more. And he won’t stop until he gets it.

CEO, Greyson James, has a BIG problem. Below the waist, he’s more man than most women can take, which has destroyed his sex life. Just once, he would like to meet a woman who doesn’t get a load of his . . . well, load . . . and run the other direction.

Katherine Clayton, divorcée and single mother of two, just sent her kids to California to spend summer vacation with their father, which means it’s time for her annual summer fling. Maybe this year she’ll find a man who can give her what she needs. And, after having two kids, what she needs is a lot of man. If she can’t find him this year, she’ll dedicate the rest of her life to her children and celibacy, because she can’t take any more bedroom disappointments.

When Greyson and Katherine spot each other inside Denver’s trendiest nightclub, the chemistry that erupts between them is undeniable, and they soon learn that each has what the other needs. But after one night of intense passion, neither is prepared for the wicked ride fate has in store for them.

As the Banger Serialized Novel unfolds, Greyson and Katherine will wrestle with their feelings for each another, long-held family secrets will be revealed, and scandals neither could have imagined will rock them to the core.

Read Greyson and Katherine’s entire story in this collection of all seven previously published novellas to find out if what they’ve found in each other will be enough for happily ever after, or if one summer fling is all they’ll share?

This collection includes all seven novellas that were previously published separately under the title, Banger (formerly Size Matters). A short summary for each part follows:

Part 1 – Well-endowed Greyson James meets pleasure-seeking Katherine Clayton. She thinks he’s a temporary summer fling. He wants something more.

Part 2 – When Katherine learns Greyson wants to buy her company, sparks fly, and she ends their affair. But Greyson is determined to win her back.

Part 3 – Katherine resists Greyson’s steady attempts to woo her back into his bed, but she can only hold out so long when her desire for him continues to grow.

Part 4 – Greyson takes Katherine on a weekend getaway that leads to a surprising confession—and an unexpected realization.

Part 5 – When Katherine and Greyson attend their friends’ wedding, she’s not prepared for her jealous reaction when she sees him with another woman. And neither is he.

Part 6 – Katherine was finally ready to give Greyson her heart, but a tragic secret from his past, as well as new developments in her family obligations, have threatened everything.

Part 7 – If Greyson is going to win Katherine back, he’s going to have to pull out all the stops. But all the stops might not be enough to overcome the surprises fate still has in store for them.

Exclusive Excerpt:

I tear my gaze away from the tall glass of cool water on the balcony who’s been eye-fucking me for the last minute and nudge Jess.

“I think I found him.”

“Who?” She glances around then meets my gaze. “Oh!” Her eyes go wide, and her mouth drops open. “You mean . . . Mr. Manhunt?”

I nod.

“Where?”

“The balcony.” I bob my head in that direction. “Grey shirt. Dark-brown hair. The one with a jawline that can cut glass.” Of all the men I’ve chosen for my summer romances, this guy is the hottest yet. I only hope he’s as willing as he seems to be, because I’d like to at least see if he excels over the competition in other ways. Namely, is he packing, or isn’t he?

Jess frowns as she glances up to the balcony. “Where? I don’t see—” Her gaze drops and she’s staring over my shoulder. “Oh . . .”

A shiver races down my back, and I know by the look on her face that he’s standing right behind me.

“Excuse me.” His voice is deep and manly, and my stomach drops then buoys back up against my diaphragm.

If just his voice can elicit that response, I can only imagine what the rest of him can do to me. Or perhaps I’m merely hopeful. I have to remind myself that for all the potential of my last four summer flings, none lived up to the hype.

I turn, and he’s more striking up close than he was on the balcony. Taller, too.

Sometimes men are more attractive from far away, but when you see them up close, not so much. When they’re right in front of you, it’s easier to see the imperfections in their skin or that they don’t take the best care of their teeth. Or maybe they have an off-putting scent, whether natural or cologne.

With this guy, there are no imperfections. His teeth are straight and white, and his healthy, weathered skin tells me he spends a lot of time outdoors. Based on the width of his shoulders and his tapered waist, I’d say the time he spends outdoors is spent doing he-man activities such as chopping through ten-foot wide tree trunks with an ax and throwing boulders. He’s obviously chiseled under his grey button-up and black slacks. Are those Armani? As for the way he smells, I feel like I’ve stepped into a crisp, clean shower in a rainforest. I just want to run my nose up the side of his neck, inhaling like a coke addict.

His smile widens as his hazel, grey-blue eyes narrow slightly, and I realize I’m staring.

“I was hoping I could buy you a drink,” he says.

It’s simple as far as pickup lines go. Simple and polite. I like polite. It means he’s not a jerk. Or at least not a total jerk. Or maybe he’s just a smooth operator, but I don’t think so. There’s a gentle kindness in his eyes, as if he’s been rejected one too many times and, while he’s not willing to give up, he’s more cautious now about the women he approaches. Whatever the reason, I feel honored that he’s chosen to approach me.

My turquoise-colored cocktail is almost empty, so I smile and place the glass on the polished bar. “Sure, okay.”

“And your friend?” He gestures invitingly toward Jess as he flags down the bartender. “What are you two drinking?”

Jess squeezes up beside me. “It’s called a Caribbean Mist.”

The bartender stops in front of us and leans in.

“Two Caribbean Mists and another scotch and soda please.” He sets his empty glass on the bar.

The bartender nods brusquely and runs off to fix our drinks.

“My name’s Grey,” he says, speaking loud enough to be heard over the music.

“Grey? Really?” I can’t help smiling. “Like the name of a certain character from a certain book that shall remain nameless?”

He rolls his eyes impishly, and his cheeks flush. “I’ve never read that book, so I barely know what it’s about, just what I’ve heard through the grapevine.”

“You should read it. It’s a pretty good book. Very educational.”

He flashes me his perfect smile, and it makes the sexy dimple in the center of his chin more pronounced. “I’ll think about it.” He studies me for a moment. “My full name is Greyson. It’s a family name. But everyone calls me Grey. I promise I don’t hurt women for pleasure or anything like that.” His slashing eyebrows tick inward as if the idea of hurting women makes him uncomfortable, which scores him extra brownie points.

I pretend to be affronted. “You don’t?” I gasp dramatically. “And here I was hoping you’d tie me up and flog me senseless.”

His mouth falls open, and he appears both lost for words and completely thrown.

I laugh and place my hand reassuringly on his forearm, which is resting on the bar. “I’m only kidding, Greyson.”

Relief washes over him, and he smiles again. “Ah, okay.” He averts his gaze and chuckles tightly. “You had me worried for a second.”

Then he does something I don’t expect. Something that makes me stop laughing and draw in a shaky breath.

He places his hand over mine.

He’s still chuckling, his gaze averted almost shyly, and yet this casual, effortless touch feels more intimate than if he’d reached under my dress and caressed my inner thigh. I don’t even think he’s realized what he’s done. As if comforting people comes naturally to him . . . to the point that he doesn’t even think about it.

But his touch isn’t comforting at all. At least, not to me. It’s sizzling. It’s arousing. It’s all-consuming.

His palm is callused—but not unpleasantly so—and it’s warm and dry. I don’t know what it is about rough hands—man hands, as I call them—but they turn me on. To me, calluses are a sign that a man not only works hard but plays hard, and given Greyson’s physique and demeanor, I’d say his calluses are caused by both. He strikes me as the kind of man who climbs mountains or runs military-grade obstacle courses for fun. He has a special forces look about him. Like he’d look as good dressed in SWAT gear, holding a semiautomatic rifle, as he does dressed in the shimmery grey shirt and black tailored slacks he’s wearing tonight.

All I know is that the moment his hand touched mine, an electrical current traveled up my arm, strengthening the strange connection I feel with him.

He becomes aware that I’ve stopped laughing and turns toward me. What he finds on my face makes his smile fade, and a moment later, lust-filled enchantment seeps into his expression. His thumb brushes over the back of my hand, and I suck in my breath, which in turn makes him suck in his.

“What’s your name?” he asks, moving closer.

“Katherine.”

“Katherine.” He rolls my name over his tongue. Who would have thought my own name could be an aphrodisiac. But the way it sounds rumbling across Greyson’s vocal chords is enough to make my insides quiver and my neglected libido stand up and take notice. “You have a beautiful name.”

I’ve never thought my name was beautiful until just this second. “Everybody calls me Kate.”

“I like Katherine.”

So do I, especially when he says it. “Then you can call me Katherine.”

 TBRreview

Holy cow! Grey and Kate’s story is a little bit crazy. But I absolutely when a bunch of stories are released in a box set like this. I can just keep reading and reading.

Kate is having her yearly summer hookup. That’s how she meets Grey. Both Grey and Kate have an “affliction” that makes them perfect for each other. Grey is abnormally large. And for anyone who says bigger is better, needs to read this series!

It’s time.
Time to get a life.
Time to start over.
Time to move beyond the past.

The guys in the Single Dads Club would tell you it was time years ago, but until recently, the risk of hurting my little girl outweighed the benefit of getting a piece of ass.

Now that I have a tween daughter on my hands? It’s becoming more apparent with every poster hung on the wall, every fight over wearing make-up and every uncomfortable conversation about puberty, that at least one of us needs a female touch in our lives.

Jesus. I can’t even think the words ‘female touch’ without thinking of her.

Charlotte Rose. Charlie.

She’s everything I shouldn’t want, but someone needs to tell that to my damn libido because every time she’s around I have a constant case of blue balls.

There’s a list of reasons why I shouldn’t give into what I feel—she’s my best friend’s little sister, she’s seen me at my most vulnerable, and the biggest one—she’s the first person in eleven years who has the potential to break me.

Snap a picture and caption it ‘Teenage boy in front of his first Playboy’ because that’s exactly how I feel right now and I’d bet that’s how I look.

Charlie stands in the doorway wearing a white bikini, her nipples hard and erect, begging to be touched. The first thing I notice is the way she doesn’t cover up, but opens the door wider, ushering me in with her free hand.

“I expected the pool guy.” Her voice changes pitch and I gather she’s as affected by this situation as I am. The only difference is, my arousal can’t be hidden.

“He’s out of town, so you got me.”

“And you can fix it?”

I stop and tilt my head her way. “Is that even a question?”

“Well,” she walks faster to catch up to me as I use a key to open up the one door that’s locked from guests. “Oh, I always wonder what’s behind these doors when I rent other people’s vacation homes.” She peeks her head over my shoulder and the scent of her perfume makes a beeline for my dick, making it twitch.

As he’s begging for an introduction, I squat to get away, but she doesn’t relent. Her tits are practically resting on my shoulder.

“Ever heard of personal space?” I remark, grabbing my tool set.

“This isn’t half as exciting as I thought it would be.” She finally moves back and I stand with the toolbox in my hands.

“Did you think there would be a dead body?”

She shrugs. “Porn maybe?”

“Why would there be porn?”

She purses her lips and looks up at the ceiling. It’s innocent and cute and I’m not sure I ever remember seeing her doing it before. “You know, the owner can’t keep it in their own house because they have a preteen daughter, so they keep their stash in the closet and watch it when there are no guests here.”

“Let me guess? I’m the guy with the preteen daughter.”

“You’re so smart. I see where Sydney gets it from.” She smiles, a mouthful of straight white teeth.

I nod and walk away. She follows.

“Do you need help?”

“Since I really have no idea what I’m fixing, I don’t know yet.” I open the screen door to the hot tub.

“It wouldn’t turn on.”

“That’s not a good sign.”

I open up the back and start working on it. The little I know about hot tubs might not be enough.

Charlie sits on the edge of the hot tub and puts her feet in, her purple polished toenails dipping in and out of the water.

“I think I deserve a discount if I can’t use the hot tub.”

I look up at her and she’s smirking.

“Funny.”

She’s quiet for a few minutes while I fiddle around trying to figure out the source of the problem.

“I’m curious, Garrett…” she pauses and I glance up at her. “How do my tits look in this bikini?”

Oh Garrett! I knew he was going to be the one that did it. With his tall, silent ways and his crushing history, I knew he was going to be the single dad that made me love him!

Charlie has wanted Garrett as long as she can remember. His wife died 12 years ago but Charlie is ready for him to move on, with her.

Garrett has lived a solitary lifestyle. He has his daughter and business and that’s perfectly fine with him. Except he can’t get over the way Charlie has grown up and how she affects him.

I can’t wait for the next series!!! I know Vance has something hidden/wrong when he just randomly shows up in Climax Cove and is so evasive about why he’s there.

Whether it’s an alpha male, heavy angst, a happily ever after, there’s something you are absolutely certain the book will contain. Heck, we’re readers, too, we get it.

What can we tell you about ourselves? We both have kindle’s full of one-clickable books. We’re both married to husbands who drive us to drink. We’re both chauffeurs to our kids. Most of all, we love hot heroes and quirky heroines that make us laugh, and we hope you do, too.

Blog Tour & Review ~ Wicked Grind ~ by ~ J. Kenner

WickedGrind_Ecover_FINAL_RSometimes it feels so damn good to be bad

Photographer Wyatt Royce’s career is on the verge of exploding. All he needs is one perfect model to be the centerpiece of his sexy, controversial show. Find her, and Wyatt is sure to have a winner.

Then Kelsey Draper walks in. Stunning. Vibrant. And far too fragile for a project like this. Wyatt should know—after all, he remembers only too well why their relationship ended all those years ago.

Determined to break free from her good girl persona, Kelsey wants spice. Adventure. And she’s certain that Wyatt is just the man to help.

But when Wyatt agrees to give her the job only if he has complete control—on camera and in his bed—Kelsey can’t help but wonder if she’s in too deep. Because how can a good girl like her ever be enough for a man like Wyatt?

She was driving him crazy.

The way she held his eyes while she moved, so bold and flirtatious, as if she was just daring him to pull her into his arms and kiss her senseless.

Daring him? No, strike that. She wasn’t just daring him, she was throwing down a goddamned gauntlet. But was she challenging him to claim her? Or was she goading him that he couldn’t have her?

Damned if he knew. Right then, Wyatt was certain of only one thing—his body was tight, his cock was hard, and he wanted to be somewhere other than here. Someplace without other people.

Someplace with a bed.

It was the dancing that did it. Because Kelsey Draper and her dancing had always been his downfall. After all, that was what had started everything all those years ago. He’d seen her dancing to a bouncy pop song, her interpretation elevating the music and lyrics. He’d seen passion and precision, sensuality and seduction. She’d enchanted him. Cast a spell over him.

He’d seen the magic in her, so much larger than the quiet, subdued girl he’d met before. The Kelsey he’d watched dancing had surprised him. She was vibrant. Alive. Unexpected.

He’d fallen hard, and then she’d broken his heart.

He wouldn’t make the same mistake again.

He might want her—hell, he did want her. For his bed. For his show.

But he damn sure wasn’t going to trust her. He’d already learned that lesson, and he really didn’t need a refresher course.

As he watched, she dropped to the floor, then used one hand to rip open her shirt before letting it fall down her arms. She writhed on stage, her seductive movements making him ache inside, all the more when he imagined taking it further. Her wrists bound not with a tattered blouse, but with silk ropes. And not just her wrists, but her legs as well. Red ropes, the only color in an otherwise black and white image. Her body twisting, and the audience unsure if she was fighting the bonds or reveling in her own rising passion.

She was exactly what he needed for the show. The complete package. Hell, he’d known that from the moment she’d walked into his studio.

So why was he hesitating?

Because he wanted her?

Or was it because he wanted to punish her?

Or maybe it was even more insidious than that. Maybe it came down to how much was riding on this show. It was his shot, after all. The apex of all his work and sacrifice. The chance to escape from under the black cloud his father had left hanging over him.

The chance to prove himself to his family.

To live up to the goddamn Segel name.

But that would only happen if the show was a success.

So maybe that was why he was hesitating. Because the moment he committed was the moment the truth crept toward him on little cat paws, and it would either curl up and purr, or rip his heart out.

On stage, Kelsey rose, then did some sort of pirouette, twirling as she pulled off one of those transparent, colored scarves that served as a barely-there skirt. Wyatt imagined his hands on her waist, the brush of her skin against his palms as she spun. He could imagine her heat. The way she shivered under his touch.

So help him, he wanted that. Wanted to hear her sighs. Those little moans he remembered.

Another scarf went flying, and he straightened so that he was no longer leaning against the pillar. Instead, he shifted his weight from foot to foot as he tried to tamp down the rising lust. The violent need. To not only have her, but to have her in his show.

He wanted her, yes. But she was an indulgence he couldn’t justify. An indulgence and a risk, because he knew damn well that she’d run if things got too intense.

And damn but his show was intense. That was the point, after all.

He couldn’t take a chance on her, no matter how much he might want to. Couldn’t even bring her in only long enough to test her out. Not on such a tight schedule. Not when there was no way to ensure that she wouldn’t bolt.

Kelsey was a risk he simply couldn’t take. He had to get it right. There was too much at stake for him to be wrong about her.

The final scarf fluttered to the ground, and Wyatt’s pulse pounded in his throat as he moved closer, his mouth going dry as she reached for her bra, pulled it over her head, then tossed it aside.

The music faded out, and the dim, colored stage lights made the flesh-colored G-string blend into her pale skin, enhancing the illusion that she now stood before the entire room not just topless, but one hundred percent, birthday-suit naked.

She took a bow as the lights came up, and the men in the audience actually stood to applaud her. She’d blown away the competition, and even though Wyatt wanted to rush the stage and wrap his jacket around her, he couldn’t deny the swell of pride he felt for her victory.

TBRreview

First off, I like that this started out in Wyatt’s point of view and where he is today. And why he needs this certain quality in a model. You can feel his passion (wait not THAT – dirty birdy) for photography and his project and his career.

Kelsey needs a job. FAST. Well she needs money fast, however she can get it. She walks into Wyatt’s studio and is shocked. Here is the boy she left behind all those years ago and he’s needing a model. She’s not a model but she’s a dancer and can hold poses so it’s quick work right?

Normally I don’t like stories that time hop but this one worked for me. One minute you’re in the present day and the next, you’re back in time when they met. This was so beautifully written and an amazing start to a new J. Kenner series!

Blurb
He was supposed to be my first and only one-night stand.
He was definitely not supposed to become my boss.
I had always been the good girl – the workaholic with every second of her life mapped out to a tee.
Then I got trapped in an elevator with Julian Hoult. He was… irresistible. Sophisticated sex in a crisp white shirt. His voice alone dropped me straight to my knees. What was I supposed to do?
Well….
I can tell you what was I definitely not supposed to do.
I was not supposed to run into him ever again. I was not supposed to be desperately unemployed, and I was definitely not supposed to accept his dirty little job offer.
But I couldn’t resist.
As CEO of the Hoult Media empire, Julian will stop at nothing to get what he wants. So for his next venture with Manhattan’s most lecherous billionaires, he’s hired me to play the role of bait. And while my official title is that of Executive Assistant, my actual job requires low tops, tight skirts and flaunting everything I’ve got till his clients are easy to bend – till they can barely think for themselves anymore.
It’s sleazy and wrong. Against everything I’ve worked for.

him, I’m embracing the bad, and I swear…
I’ve never in my life felt this damned good.

Sara is having a crap day. After finally standing up for herself and shedding her “good girl” attitude, she wants to be bad. She meets tall, dark and handsome and is immediately into him. And he is with her. This is the perfect recipe for what cures Sara – or so she thinks. Until she meets up with Mr Hottie again and he wants to hire her.

Julian Hoult wanted to meet back up with his mystery woman but he didn’t know anything about her. So how do you meet up with a ghost? He unintentionally does and isn’t letting her go, even though he has to hire her.

I loved this story and need to read book 1! Not because you need to but because I want to. Real, feeling, approachable billionaires with crazy (in a good way) families are rapidly becoming one of my guilty pleasures and this tics all those boxes.

Author Bio
Stella Rhys is an author of contemporary romance and can’t help but write it hot, steamy and borderline filthy (just kidding, it’s just flat-out filthy). Writing aside, she lives for coffee, the Knicks, the Yankees and cooking recipes way out of her league. She was born and raised in New York and now lives there with her husband and charmingly entitled fur babies.

Release Blitz & Review ~ Dating the Billionaire ~ by ~ Poppy Dunne

Title: Dating the Billionaire
Author: Poppy Dunne
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: July 12, 2017
Blurb
I’m Dahlia Rossi, dating coach extraordinaire. I know how to land you
the man of your dreams. Follow my rules, you’ll meet the love of your life and
have a gorgeous destination wedding in French Polynesia. Okay, that last one
happened just the one time. But my rules work every time. I
guarantee it.

1. The man makes the first move. Seems unfair? Life’s unfair.

2. Never have sex on the first date. No, not even oral. And hands above the
table, please.

3. Play hard to get, but don’t make it too hard.Solid rules, right? I thought they were. But then I met Jack Carraway,
an impossibly sexy, frustratingly unpredictable billionaire, and broke them
all. Everywhere. In an elevator. On a balcony. Beneath a
gazebo, of all places.

Whether I like it or not (spoiler alert: I like it!), Jack is taking me on wild
adventure and we’re writing a whole new set of rules. Like, always reserve your
matching Harry Potter costumes a week in advance; wrestling swans is not as
easy as it looks; and sometimes, the man of your dreams pops up in the most
unlikely of places and has a really big…boat. After years of watching couples find love, it may be my turn. But is
this spontaneous playboy the real thing, or just a fun detour around my
predictable life? All this time I’ve been following my own rules and going to
sleep alone, with nothing but my second slice of princess cake to keep me
company.

But the more time I spend with Jack, the more I learn that
rules…they’re meant to be broken.
In love there’s only one rule: there are no rules.

I love Dahlia’s name and her family. Her super Southern Belle mom and her Italian dad are just a perfect complete opposite blending that works. Dahlia has rules and lists for everything. She has to keep things on task and do things in a certain, orderly way – for reasons I won’t tell you but you will find out if you read the book…

Jack is basically the spoiled rich boy. Except he’s spoiled himself. He’s a self made billionaire and enjoys the various perks of not having to worry about money. The world is his oyster and there is nothing he can’t do.

So when Jack meets Dahlia, all Dahlia’s rules are shot to hell. Suddenly, she’s flying by the seat of her pants and she hasn’t been able to do that for years!

I love the opposite nature of Jack and Dahlia and how they balance each other out. Jack’s devil may care tempers Dahlia’s straight edges and Dahlia’s rules help Jack do better.

TBRreview

This review will cover all 3 novellas in the story since you need to read the other 2, in order, to get to this 3rd part or it will make no sense.

In this part, we finally learn who Cari’s stalker is and her and Jasper’s fate. They’ve gone through quite a bit together and done many different things so you aren’t really sure how their relationship will end up or if it ends. And that’s all I’m saying.

This was a quick read, the whole series, for me. Each book was about less than 100 pages and each part ends with a cliffhanger, so you want to dive in to the next one. Except for #3. That ends the whole story.

About Lauren Hawkeye

Lauren Hawkeye/ Lauren Jameson never imagined that she’d wind up telling stories for a living… though when she looks back, it’s easy to see that she’s the only one who is surprised. Always “the kid who read all the time”, Lauren made up stories about her favorite characters once she’d finished a book… and once spent an entire year narrating her own life internally. No, really. But where she was just plain odd before publication, now she can at least claim to have an artistic temperament.

Lauren lives in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada with her husband, toddler, pit bull and idiot cat, though they do not live in an igloo, nor do they drive a dogsled. In her nonexistent spare time Lauren can be found knitting (her husband claims that her snobby yarn collection is exorbitant), reading anything she can get her hands on, or sweating her way through spin class. She loves to hear from her readers!
