New Release ~ Rise of the Shade ~ by ~ Lia Davis

The shade has arrived… Rise of the Shade by Lia Davis is now live everywhere!!!

Universal: https://geni.us/RiseoftheShade

BLURB: Murder is a game that Randi Sanderson knows far too well, but at least she’s playing on the right side of the law. Being half-archangel and half-vampire makes her one of Jacksonville Sheriff Office’s best detectives, and a suspect’s worst nightmare.

When she arrives at the scene of her next case, it’s obvious this murder isn’t a typical human crime of passion or rage. As a powerful hybrid, Randi can sense something is off, and not just because the body was dumped in a church parking lot. Luckily, her many gifts include the ability to dig up dirt on anyone.

This time, getting to work won’t be so simple. Surprised by a new partner, Randi knows her life is about to get a little more complicated. There’s a reason she doesn’t work with others. To the outside world she’s just a police detective and single mom, but the reality is she has a secret identity to keep.

With the case taking a dark turn and her new partner obviously keeping secrets of his own, the last thing Randi needs is more trouble. So when the angelic and demonic factions start bidding to hire her to kill other supernatural beings just like herself, she patently refuses. The rogue hybrids known as The Shade are none of her concern, and she isn’t interested in becoming an assassin.

But when she finds herself in the middle of her own case with The Shade coming for her, she must reconsider. The half-angel, half-demon miscreants won’t stop until they’re dead or they have what they truly want: Randi’s son.

Blurb:

From the USA Today bestselling author of The Wedding Game comes a new romantic comedy about the antics that ensue when three siblings come together for their parents’ fiftieth-anniversary party.

Martin and Peggy Chance believe love should last a lifetime. With their fiftieth wedding anniversary on the horizon, they’ve modeled a beautiful relationship for their three grown children. But to their dismay, that lesson hasn’t quite caught on—the three siblings just can’t seem to take a chance and find love in their own lives.

There’s Ford, the eldest, devoted to his work and resistant to romance…or so he claims. Cooper, the middle child, can’t get past his divorce—until he reconnects with a feisty baker from his past. And Palmer, the baby of the family, is the free-spirited world traveler who always pictured herself with someone other than a handsome small-town family doctor.

When the Chance siblings come together to plan the ultimate anniversary party for their parents, they’ll have to navigate romantic entanglements, sibling rivalries, and the definitive end of their childhood. Whatever happens, The Reunion promises to be a fun, flirty, wild ride.

You know I hate it when you respond in the subject line. It’s more work to delete the subject line and type in your response, than to just reply in the body of the email.
But ignoring that, what happened to the beautiful linen invites I picked out? You can’t just send an email for Mom and Dad’s 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. We look so . . . uncultured.
***
TO: Palmer Chance, Ford Chance
FROM: Cooper Chance
SUBJECT: Re: I Did
The invites you wanted to purchase were going to be twelve dollars a pop. TWELVE dollars, Palmer. That’s a waste of money, a waste of resources, and just a useless way to kill more trees. Also, while you’re out galivanting around the world, who do you think was going to have to address all of those?
Me.
So, I did what was easiest. Sent an email. If you don’t like it, too bad.

You realize the family owns a multi-billion dollar, franchised, outdoors store, right? Twelve dollars an invite is a blip in the pool of gold Mom and Dad are sitting in. Now we look like cheap asses who send out a wedding anniversary invitation through email. You’re an editor, but you didn’t even beef up the text. You made bullet points.
Food.

SUBJECT: Re: I did
Just catching up.
The invitation is less than ideal, especially for such a large and monumental event in our parents’ lives, parents who have given us every opportunity to succeed in life. I think we need to treat this anniversary with a little more appreciation and a little less complaining about the time and effort we have to put forth in order to make it happen.
I just spoke with Larkin and she is ordering the linen invites, having them shipped overnight, and we will have them sent out ASAP. We will treat the email as a funny save the date. I will reply all and tell everyone to expect a formal invitation in the mail.
Larkin and I will be flying out to Washington on Tuesday. We will be working up until the anniversary party on some very time-consuming tasks. Please be conscious of our time and energy.
I’ll be sure to have Larkin schedule in some meetings to go over all party arrangements as well as time with the family, but we won’t be staying with Mom and Dad. We booked two rooms at the Marina Island Bed and Breakfast, one being the attic suite so we can conduct business in private.
Please send your itineraries to Larkin and any requests so she can schedule them in.
Thank you.
Ford

DOLL PARTS by Cara Dee is out now! Check out the dark BDSM romance and grab your copy today!

Title: Doll Parts

Author: Cara Dee

Genre: MM BDSM

About Doll Parts:

The Game Series | Book 4 | Standalone | D/s | Daddy/lb | Fear play | Objectification

Get ready for a funhouse experience that doesn’t belong in an amusement park. But clowns and balloons don’t turn this scorching hot BDSM romance into a wild ride. That’s all Noa, Cam, Lucian, and KC.

I have the best boyfriend in the whole world, but there’s one thing I won’t tell him. It’s that I don’t believe in absolute happiness anymore. Not with the cards we’ve been dealt. I mean, come on! Why do we fall for people who don’t want us back? While he’s been pining after Lucian, one of the Masters in his kink community, I’m the lovesick monster-puppy Little who can’t forget my former stepdad KC. Or the kinky porn I once found on his computer…but that’s beside the point!

It’s complicated, to be honest. I try not to think about it. I have Cameron, and I love him so damn much. Why can’t we try to make it on our own? Why does he want us to find a Top that’s just ours? It won’t work. Our stupid hearts refuse to move on.

What’s even stupider is that Cameron insists we seek out a Dom for our relationship in the very kink community where we can find both KC and Lucian.

Ohhh crap. I think he’s got a plan.

The Game Series is a BDSM series where romance meets the reality of kink. Sometimes we fall for someone we don’t match with, sometimes vanilla business gets in the way of kinky pleasure, and sometimes we have to compromise and push ourselves to overcome trauma and insecurities. No matter what, two things are certain. This is not a perfect world, and life never turns out the way you planned.

Exclusive Excerpt

I couldn’t go up there, could I?

I squinted for the sun and peered up at the pale-green–painted trendy restaurant, all three stories of it, including the rooftop terrace. It was one of those restaurants that used to be an apartment building, so you had a bunch of smaller dining areas inside.

I chewed on the inside of my cheek and wondered how the hell I hadn’t connected the dots sooner.

Fuck, it was hot. I ran a hand through my hair and looked around me. The restaurant was right on the corner of a busy intersection, and the sleepy locals on their way to brunch were sharing the sidewalk with tourists.

Maybe I should text him and call it off…

“Excuse me, are you going to the munch?”

I cocked my head to the guy to my left. He was about my age, I estimated. “What if I didn’t know what a munch was?”

He grinned, and it was hot. Hot and cute. “I would’ve said never mind and hightailed it out of here,” he replied. “But I’ve been around long enough to spot someone too nervous to join an event.”

Oh. I wasn’t nervous to join an event. My very first munch, I’d been the first to arrive.

I scratched my head. “I’m stalling because I’m pretty sure I’m barging into someone else’s territory,” I admitted. “My mom’s ex-husband is kinky too.”

The guy made a yikes-face, and I felt the need to elaborate.

“I check his Instagram sometimes, and if he posts four pictures every month, one is from this place,” I explained. “Usually with a caption like ‘Luke is teaching me to post foodporn, whatever that is’ and ‘Macklin’s eggs Benedict are a bit of a religious experience.’”

I could tell I’d mentioned names the guy recognized. I was right. This was the munch of KC’s kink community. Motherfucker. I’d seen eight pictures from this place on KC’s dusty Instagram—or parts of the place. Mostly from the rooftop terrace. Maybe that was where they hosted the munch.

“You know them, don’t you?” I pressed.

The guy smiled uncertainly and shrugged slightly. “We take integrity seriously, but…”

Yeah.

“Who’s your mother’s ex-husband?”

“KC Hayles.”

He nodded once. He’d heard that name too. Then he eyed someone else, or two someones, coming up the sidewalk. They were twins. Hot-as-shit set of twins in their forties.

One of them smirked upon seeing the guy I’d been talking to. “You hidin’, Cameron?”

I observed the guy’s reaction. Cameron. A crooked grin full of mischief lit up his face. He was really fucking cute, and I didn’t usually feel attraction toward men my age. He was a bit taller than me but not much. Blue eyes.

“Does that sound like something I would do, Sir?” Cameron countered.

Definitely a submissive.

One of the twins chuckled and ruffled Cameron’s shaggy, dirty-blond hair. “See you upstairs, boy.” He spared me the quickest of glances, lifted his brow a little, maybe in curiosity, before he and his brother took the steps up to the restaurant.

Cameron turned back to me. “It’s possible you’ve stumbled upon your stepdad’s community.”

I figured. “I’ll just reschedule with the guy I was gonna meet. Thanks for letting me know.”

It wasn’t too important I met him today anyway. It was only a bite to eat to see if I was compatible to play with him and his boyfriend.

Cameron cleared his throat. “Hey, wait. If you know KC… Does that mean you know Lucian too?”

That would be a stretch. “I’ve met him a few times, sure. I wouldn’t say I know him, though.” I’d had my suspicions about Lucian—that he was kinky too. It wasn’t a surprise whatsoever to have it confirmed. He was big-time Master material. “Why? Are you together or something?”

Cameron snorted. “I wish. No, he’s with some dude who’s manipulating him like fucking whoa, and Lucian won’t see it.”

I frowned. That didn’t compute with my impression of Lucian.

“Anyway,” Cameron went on. “Here’s a crazy idea. You wanna get out of here and grab a burger or something? Your plan fell through, and I can think of better things to do than watch Lucian and his little troll.”

I stood straighter instantly. This guy wanted to hang out? Fuck yes! I could use a new friend.

“Absolutely,” I said, sticking out my hand. “I’m Noa.”

Cameron smiled, visibly relieved. “Cameron.”

About Cara

I’m often awkwardly silent or, if the topic interests me, a chronic rambler. In other words, I can discuss writing forever and ever. Fiction, in particular. The love story—while a huge draw and constantly present—is secondary for me, because there’s so much more to writing romance fiction than just making two (or more) people fall in love and have hot sex.

There’s a world to build, characters to develop, interests to create, and a topic or two to research thoroughly.

Every book is a challenge for me, an opportunity to learn something new, and a puzzle to piece together. I want my characters to come to life, and the only way I know to do that is to give them substance—passions, history, goals, quirks, and strong opinions—and to let them evolve.

I want my men and women to be relatable. That means allowing room for everyday problems and, for lack of a better word, flaws. My characters will never be perfect.

Wait…this was supposed to be about me, not my writing.

I’m a writey person who loves to write. Always wanderlusting, twitterpating, kinking, cooking, baking, and geeking. There’s time for hockey and family, too. But mostly, I just love to write.

#ARD-10 Seeing Aria so defeated and deflated killed me inside. If no one else, she was the one that needed to have hope. I held my hand out for her and she took it, helping herself to her feet, and as I led her into the kitchen, I pulled out a chair for her at the table. “Sit. You need some food,” I said. She sniffled and wiped at her eyes. “Shouldn’t you be out there searching with the guys?” I rummaged around in the fridge. “Once we eat, yes.” “How can you think about your stomach at a time like this? I’m not even hungry.” I pulled shit out of the fridge and slapped it onto the kitchen counter. “Can’t save someone on an empty stomach, I always say.” “Idiot,” she murmured. I ignored the quip and put sandwiches together. “You know she’s going to be okay, right?” “I don’t know anything right now,” she said breathlessly. “Well, she’s going to be. Your sister is strong. She’s always got her wits about her. She’s more capable than a lot of women out there, and the Devil’s Rage aren’t going to know what to do with that.” “I get what you’re trying to do, and you can stop.” I slid a plate of food in front of her. “You mean giving you hope so that you don’t drag the rest of us down your rabbit holes?” “Angel,” Reaper said flatly. “Seriously?” Aria’s angry gaze snapped up to mine. “I hated you back in high school, and I hate you now.” I placed a bottle of water in front of her. “And that’s fine, you can hate me all you want. But the best way to help Nadia right now is to stuff down whatever you’re feeling so that you can be productive with us. We need all hands on deck, and that includes yours.” She slumped into her seat. “It sucks when you guys are right.” I chuckled as I sat across the table from her. “Now, eat. Get out whatever emotions you need to get out with me. Say whatever it is you need to say. But when we’re done eating? We get to work. Got it?” “Yeah, yeah,” she said as she reached for her water bottle. “I got it.” And as we sat there eating in relative silence, I watched as mindless tears dripped down Aria’s cheeks. “We’re going to find her,” I said. Her eyes flickered up to mine. “I know we are.” “We’re going to find her alive.” And when she swallowed hard, I knew I had hit the nail on the head. “I sure hope you’re right about that, Angel,” she said softly. I had to be right. Because if anything happened to Nadia, I would kill them all.

New Release ~ Olympic Crown ~ by ~ W. Million

Title: Olympic Crown

Series: Bellerive Royals Book 1
Author: W. Million
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Sports Romance
Release Date: February 16, 2022
Cover Design: Najla Qamber Designs
Posey Jensen is a friend collector, boyfriend avoider, and thrill seeker. When someone posts in a group chat looking for a wedding date to Bermuda, Posey jumps on the chance to prove to a new friend that she’s the reigning queen of adventure. But even she’s not prepared for Brent Faulkner: Olympic swimmer, Northern University star, and the only guy she’s ever thirsted after.

Brent Faulkner has a +1 for his friend’s wedding he can’t fill—and zero desire for another relationship. He’s married to his sport, and girlfriends are never happy mistresses. When he posts in Northern University’s group chat seeking a seat filler, someone named Jensen replies, and Brent figures a bros weekend will be just what he needs.
Little does he know, Jensen is Posey Jensen, and she’s diving into his life to change his priorities forever.

My phone chimes in my hand with a text from Monica.

Check the group chat I sent you. A sweet weekend away.

Opening the chat, I scroll to the post from a BF with a Captain America avatar. Inside I release an ugh before I read the post.

Weekend wedding in Bermuda. Flight leaves at 10 pm. Back Monday at noon. Looking for my +1. Those with drama need not apply. Pay own flight. Hotel is all inclusive.

Instead of texting Monica back, I hit call and press the phone to my ear. She’ll be in the car with her boyfriend, but I’m not replying to this post. The guy sounds like an idiot.

“Do it,” Monica says when she answers.

“Two initials and a Captain America avatar? He’s going to be the worst. A sleazy, misogynistic jerk.”

Monica cackles over the phone. “You’re judging that hard over initials and an avatar?”

“‘Those with drama need not apply,’” I say. “He might as well scrawl ‘I’ve got issues’ at the end of his post.”

“Oh, I see what it’s like,” Monica says. “You’re all talk.”

“What?” I sit up straighter on the couch.

“In class you were all ‘I seek adventure’ and ‘my extravert-loving heart,’ but when an opportunity drops in your lap, you’re not taking it?” She tsks. “Something better than a trip to Bermuda come up?”

“I have to pay for my flight.”

“That’s a bonus—you can leave early if he really is a sleazy jerk.” She hums over the phone. “Never mind. Someone else replied. I gotta go. Devon doesn’t like it when I talk on the phone when he’s driving. He wants his tunes cranked.”

“Have a good weekend,” I say again before hanging up.

I click into the chat and stare at the exchange of messages. Shared hotel room, but separate beds.

They’re still hashing out details.

I’ll come.

I send the response before I can second-guess myself.

The bubbles pop up under my response.

DM’d you.

In my private messages, I find a picture of flight details and a link to purchase. Other girl was wasting my time. If you’re serious, book this and screenshot as a reply.

Once I’m on the airline page, I grab the credit card that my parents still pay out of my wallet. There have to be some perks to being abandoned on a long weekend. I don’t allow my brain to engage as I type in all my details and press on the pay now button. While the payment processes, a brief shot of panic spikes in me. This guy could be anyone, and not in a good way.

A boarding pass appears on my screen and a thank you for my payment.

God, that was expensive. It’s a good thing he’s paying for everything else. At least I can justify it to my parents that way.

I screenshot the transaction and send it to BF in our private chat. He sends me another picture of the hotel name and location. Immediately, I save it to my phone, and then I text it to Monica.

In case he’s a murderer. This is where I’m supposed to be for the weekend.

Monica responds immediately with an LOL and heart eyes. One of us is a bad influence, and I’m starting to think it’s not me.

When I click back over to the chat with BF, he’s left another message.

I’ll text you at the airport. Glad you’re a dude. So tired of the drama!

I frown at the message. He thinks I’m a dude? Why would he think I’m a guy? On my chat profile, the other shoe drops. My avatar is a J in Bellerive blue, and the only name visible is my last one: Jensen.

My fingers hover over my keyboard. I’ve already paid for my flight. Do I tell him I’m a drama-rama girl or leave him to be surprised at the airport?

My lips twist into a smile.

See you tonight!
