A smile quirks one side of my mouth. “Rose, why are you here?”

“I…I’ve come seeking asylum.”

Frowning, I sit up. “From what?”

“You’ll kill me if I tell you.”

“I’ll kill you if you don’t.”

She swallows hard, probably remembering the gun I had pointed to her head last night, then blows out a breath before she says, “I’m here to seduce you. To find a way into your home and into your bed.”

“My bed.” I laugh, thrown off by her honesty.

“Men talk after they fuck. When their guard is down.”

“What sort of information are you after?” I ask, though I can already deduce.

“Weakness. Dillon Callaghan wants to know what your weakness is.”

“Well, sweet Rose, I’m sorry to inform you that if you make it into my bed, you’ll be sorely disappointed to find I have no weakness.”

This story! HOLY CRAP!!! I definitely had to put this down because there were some events that happen that have happened to me recently and I just needed time to process what I was feeling and what the story was evoking in me. And then I had to just process the story of Davis and Bethany. But mark my words, the true mark of a great story is how it can make you feel and OH did this story make me feel!

Bethany is looking for her HEA and approaches every date that way. And then she meets Davis, who she is WILDLY attracted to, even though he is not a relationship guy. Davis has his reasons for avoiding relationships, and I get it, but Bethany is definitely his reason for breaking his rules.

I absolutely loved reading this story! It was so well thought out, outlined and jam-packed with all the feels! I do hope that Bryce’s story is next. I need to know what’s going on with him…

About Monique Growing up in New York City, I used to walk the hot pavements in the melting heat of the long summers, and dream. Uptown to downtown, eastside to the westside, and underground to catch a subway racing out into the boroughs.

During my wanderings, my magic pencil spun out fantasies full of romance, with first meetings, heartbreaks, and reunions. Sometimes my boy crush (unrequited, of course) starred as the hero.
