Blog Tour ~ Breaking Down Sydney ~ by ~ Brittney Coon

SHADES OF SYDNEY(A Sydney West Novel #1)

Sydney West enjoys sampling summer boys, but this year, one refuses to be a one-night stand…

Twenty-one-year-old Sydney doesn’t believe in relationships. Her parents’ toxic divorce has taught her love is nothing but a sinister fairytale. So every summer she parties, hooks up, abandons her lover before dawn, and repeats.

That is until she meets gorgeous local surfer Jason King at the beach…

When Jason fails to flirt—or even give her a second glance—she decides something must be wrong with him, and it’s safer to stay away. But when Sydney and Jason’s best friends hook up and become Malibu’s hottest couple, they are forced to spend more time together than either of them cares for.

Armed with a sharp tongue, Sydney works to keep Jason at bay…

In a moment of weakness, Sydney lets her guard down and confides in Jason, realizing he’s more than just a hot guy—he’s also a friend. And when Sydney’s need for a summer boy results in her falling into bed with Jason, despite her better judgment, she runs away from him by morning.

The problem is, he won’t accept being another one-night stand, and will do anything to prove…

Love really does exist.

BREAKING DOWN SYDNEY (A Sydney West Novel #2)

Sydney West’s new relationship might have survived Malibu, but her transformation from party girl to girlfriend isn’t complete…

Sydney is back in Arizona, and with the fall semester at her doorstep, doubts about her so-called summer love start to plague her. A good girl can only stay good for so long. Jason King changed her and made her wonder if love was real. But now, far from his charm, and with the party scene on campus in full swing, the magic is fading…

Jason isn’t willing to let distance drive a wedge between them…

A surprise reunion and a romantic cabin getaway is enough to reignite their summertime spark, but Sydney isn’t convinced this whole monogamous, meeting-your-parents thing Jason wants is possible. No boy has ever met her mother. Then, when a sudden family tragedy strikes, it sends her spiraling into her old habits of booze and boys.

Sydney can only hide from her past for so long…

In the fog of drowning her sorrows, Sydney realizes her former party lifestyle won’t make her happy. Her one-night stands ended with Jason. As much as she wants to believe in that far-fetched fairytale ending, she’s afraid if Jason finds out about all her summer boys, he will abandon her just like her father did.

Jason refuses to settle for the superficial shell Sydney keeps between them, though, and is determined to…

Break Down Sydney once and for all.

SHADES OF SYDNEY (Book 1):

BREAKING DOWN SYDNEY (Book 2):

Excerpt 1:

We went for a hike in the woods. Amelia and Hunter were pros, putting a few yards between them and Jason and me. I didn’t mind. Amelia was like a drill sergeant. There was no need for that when you were trying to enjoy nature’s beauty.

“Come here,” Jason whispered into the shell of my ear. Before I could answer, he was pulling me off the trail.

“You know the trail is here for a reason. If we get lost, it’s on you.”

His teeth tugged on my earlobe. He said, “Will you stop? We’re not going far.”

The wind blew lightly through the trees and birds were singing. Internal flames ate away at my body. I gave into Jason and let him take me to the unknown.

He stopped in front of a fat pine tree. I gave him a curious look as he circled its trunk and brushed his hand along its bark.

“Should I leave the two of you alone?” I joked.

Jason smirked at me before pulling out a pocket knife. I felt my face go from being curious to alarmed.

“Wh—?”

“Watch.” Jason dug the blade into the bark, carving into the tree.

I stood at his side as he chipped away. After a few minutes, I could make out a heart shape. He then put our initials into the center of the heart.

“There,” he said, standing back to admire his handiwork. “Now we’ll forever live here.”

Something inside me pulled me toward the tree. It was like I had to run my fingers down the new carving to make sure it was real.

The tree would forever bear our initials, through the test of time. I stared at the “JK + SW” within the heart.

“I can honestly say no boy has ever done this for me.”

Jason smiled, putting away his knife. “No? Good to know I’m ahead of the game.”

Excerpt 2:
Jason set a warm cup of coffee in front of me. I blinked a few times before cradling the cup against my chest. I sipped it, letting the hot liquid scorch my throat.
“Don’t drink it too fast. You’ll burn off all your taste buds,” Jason warned.
With the cup back on the table, I glared at him. What does he see in me? Why would anyone want to help someone like me? I’m no good, just need to be thrown away.
“Why are you here?” I asked more to myself than to Jason.
“Excuse me?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Why are you so nice to me all the time? I don’t deserve it. I—” Tears fell down my cheeks. Would I never stop crying after all this?
I am broken.
Jason cupped my chin with his hand, forcing me to look at him. “I love you, Sydney. I love the good in you. I love your flaws. I love every piece of you. The sooner you realize what love means the sooner you can stop feeling broken.”
How does he know I feel broken?
Excerpt 3:
The moon was high and full. It shined into the open window and cast Jason in a heavenly light. His collarbones were perfection to kiss. Jason caught my chin with his fingertips and forced me to lift my head. His lips molded to mine, taking me in. I couldn’t help but giggle. I still couldn’t believe Jason was in my bed.
“So, how long do I get the pleasure of having you?” I purred.
Jason sat up against the pillows, moving his arm from around my shoulders to move his body a few inches higher. I felt lighter without his touch. To get comfortable again, I folded my arms across his chest and rested my chin on them.
“I’m here for a while…”
I tipped my head to the side. “What’s a while? I thought you came for a visit because the holidays seemed so far away.”
He rubbed his jaw, locking eyes with me. “It hurt too much to be without you so…I transferred.”
“Transferred?”
He couldn’t be serious. My heart did a flip, trying to get out of my ribcage.
“Mmm-hmm, I attend this university now, so you can’t get rid of me anytime soon.” He gave me the biggest grin I’d ever seen.
I backed away from him, sitting on the foot of the bed. “Are you telling me the truth?” It was too berserk to be real. Why would he move to Arizona for me? He loved me that much?
“When you left that day in California, I felt lost. After a while, I realized a piece of me was missing. I think you were right about the distance. It would’ve hurt us. Talking with you via texting and such was fun, but it only reminded me that I couldn’t touch you whenever I wanted. So I requested a transfer and didn’t want to tell you in case something didn’t work out. Plus I wanted to surprise you,” he said, reaching across the bed to toy with a strand of my long hair.

TBRreview

I’m so glad that Sydney got a second book!  She came so far in her journey in book 1 that I had to see how it played out once she got back to Arizona.  And how her relationship with Jason will survive.

Just like in book 1, Jason won’t let Sydney push him and their relationship away and go back to her party girl ways. They might be in two different states but he won’t let that stop him.

This book was a great sequel/continuance of Shades of Sydney and very much needed.

His brothers are now his men and the threat from the Italian mafia still looms in the distance. A president needs focus, but that’s nearly impossible when his old lady blows back into town and drops two very large bombshells on him.

And now, years later, she’s coming home to make amends. Wyatt’s changed, but the club hasn’t. Women are to be obedient. Unfortunately for Forsaken, Amber’s not about to let a few rules stop her from living the life she always imagined.

“You told our son that we’re sleeping in the same bed,” I say accusingly.
“We are.” His voice is low, his breath heating my skin. I breathe him in only to wish I hadn’t. He smells like burgers and root beer—because that’s what he had with dinner, a freaking root beer—but underneath all of that is his spicy scent that can’t be from a soap or shampoo. It’s just Wyatt. I’ve missed it so much that at times it felt like I was suffocating without it. Like, if I couldn’t remember how he smells I’d just waste away to nothing right then and there. It never happened. God was never that generous, but it felt real enough that it could be a serious possibility at the time.
Wyatt slides his hand down from my jaw to my chest, laying his palm flat against my heart. His eyes fall closed and I swear, I think I’m watching him listen to my heartbeat. It’s crazy fast now with the way he’s touching me. His calloused fingers press so gently but determinedly against my bare skin. The scoop neck I’m wearing used to have a higher neckline before my kid make it her personal mission to work out by yanking on my clothes all the time. Now though, I’m grateful for Piper’s annoying yanking on clothes because I can’t imagine having his hand over a thin layer of cotton.
“I love you, you stupid woman,” Wyatt says softly. His eyes are still closed, prompting mine to shutter closed as well. I breathe him in and keep quiet. I shouldn’t give in to this, but I’m a selfish creature. I want my man back if even for a night. Wyatt presses his lips softly against mine. I move into him, but still he doesn’t remove his hand from my heart. Our kiss is soft and full of promise and hope and it absolutely slays me.
Hope is the death of all things.
“If you were done with me, with us, I’d know. Your heart wouldn’t be beating this hard. But it is. I’m a part of you, even if you don’t want me to be. So yeah, we sleep in the same bed.”

TBRreview

Haunt was just so HOT!  Wyatt was a total alpha (which I love) and Amber (LOVE her name) were just an amazing couple!  Wyatt has changed his ways from when he and Amber first got together but he’s still as much in love with his queen as he was.

Amber is just a badass.  There’s no other way to put it.  Also, in writing this, it feels like I’m just talking in the 3rd person.  Anywho, she did what she had to do to protect herself and her baby from Wyatt’s downward spiral into drugs, alcohol and the MC.

In addition, Amber is just an amazing mom.  She tells her son just like it is and doesn’t hold back from him.  And while they butt heads (he is 14), you can also see his fierce love for his mother.  That he has obviously gotten from Wyatt.

I love The Bayonet Scars series and definitely need to re-read it again after Haunt. And get reacquainted with the Forsaken MC.

Blog Tour ~ Evil ~ by ~ Tijan

Title: Evil
Author: Tijan
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: May 13, 2016

You know that group of people in school that everyone fears? Popular. Beautiful. The in-crowd?

That was my family. Kind of.

We were above that group. We held court over everyone else. We were the best looking. We were the mysterious and elusive ones. Most of the girls wanted to (and did) date the guys, but they didn’t want to be one of us. They couldn’t be. They were our prey.

We were the feared.

But like every family, nothing is as it seems. That was my truth.

Kellan was in his own league. He was our leader and he was the one no one messed with. No one dared. He was ruthless, powerful, and no one could match him…

Except for me.

I was about to find out just how different I was from my family.

**Evil is a full-length paranormal romance stand-alone.

Buy today for $0.99!
“Kellan and Shay Braden, why is it always you two? And if it’s not the two of you, it’s your other two siblings. All the time.” Mr. Mirchak approached, shaking his head. “Who’d you fight this time, Kellan?”
I should’ve felt something, maybe remorse, but there was nothing. Matt had assaulted me. Kellan felt it and protected me. And if Matt chose to run away, then that was Matt’s decision. But still…I should’ve felt guilty.
Kellan drew to his full height of six one and squared his lean shoulders against the portly forty-something teacher. He shook his head. “Do you see anyone, Mr. Mirchak?”
The balding teacher shook his head. “I never see anyone, Kellan. That’s the problem. But I know that someone’s going to show up with a busted eye, maybe a shoulder. I don’t know, but there’s always something.” He turned away, but mumbled over his shoulder, “…too damn scared to say a thing…”
Kellan waited until the teacher had turned the corner before he flashed a smile. “What do you think?”
I rolled my eyes and kicked my locker open. “You didn’t have to hurt his jaw.”
“Right.” Kellan fell against the locker beside mine and studied me. “At least this way, he’ll shut up all the time. I’m getting tired of his mouth. The guy thinks he knows you too much. He doesn’t know anything.”
“Still…” I muttered as I bent inside to grab my book.
“Still,” Kellan mimicked me and yanked me out. “Why didn’t you do something, Shay?”
“What are you talk—?”
“Don’t. Not with me,” Kellan interrupted. “You could’ve stopped him long before I came around the corner. You knew I was coming. Why didn’t you stop him?”
“Maybe I wanted to hear his rhetoric on how hot I must be for him.”
“Don’t be funny, Shay. You’re not the funny one, remember?”
I smirked. “That’s funny. I don’t think that role’s been taken in our family.”
Kellan’s hand tightened on my arm. He pulled me closer and bent his head to my ear. “You always wait for me. Why?”
Maybe I couldn’t bring myself to do what he enjoyed. Maybe I liked knowing he’d always protect me or that someone would protect me. Maybe…maybe I enjoyed the sick pleasure knowing that someone like Matt could never really hurt me, though he didn’t know that fact. Or maybe…I whispered, “I don’t know, okay?”
I didn’t know. I had ideas. I had possible scenarios, but the only truth was, I could’ve easily broken Matt’s hold on me and I didn’t.
TBRreview
In starting Evil, it sort of made me think of Twilight.  I quickly forgot Twilight and was immediately immersed in Kellan and Shay and their world.  Now, I’m not a big paranormal reader – but Evil spoke to me.
Evil gave more details into why and how the demon/messenger race was created rather than just existing and the reader is just to accept it.  That is one thing that I can’t handle with fantasy/paranormal, the fact that there is rarely explanations about why these things exist.
Evil and it’s characters, definitely could be the start of a new series.  There were plenty of chances for more follow-up stories so I hope that happens.  I’d like to see the continuation of the characters.

Hello~ (waves)

I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

Blog Tour ~ The Year I Met August ~ by ~ Renea Porter

Title: The Year I Met August
Author: Renea Porter
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Date: May 13, 2016

It was the summer before college and Murphy was ready to experience life, as any girl should. During an outing with her sister she meets August. He’s older, and more experienced than she is.

She knew a relationship at this point was almost pointless. With an internship at the end of summer and then college in the fall. Her schedule was full.

Murphy told herself that she could walk away from August without any repercussions. If only her heart had listened.

Walking away at the end of the summer was difficult. But they agreed to keep in touch and see each other whenever possible. They still didn’t put a label on their relationship.

Eventually August showed his true self. He was so ashamed, he hid his secret from her for as long as possible. Now that his secret was out, Murphy had no clue how to handle it.

Will she stay with him so they can deal with it together? Or will it be too much for her to take on?

I took a drink of my tea. “I was supposed to just walk away after ten days. I thought that was possible. But clearly I was naïve in thinking so.”
“Hey. Don’t beat yourself up.”
“What if all this is too good to be true? They say if it’s too good to be true then it’s not real. I’m scared that August and I will drift apart, and I don’t know if I can handle that.”
She reached over and covered my hand with hers. “Quit over thinking it. Just go with it. Don’t you think you deserve to feel this way? He’s your first boyfriend. Yeah, you’ll have doubts, even fights. But that’s why they invented makeup sex.” She grinned.
“Melanie!”
She laughed. “Anyway, it’s good to sit and chat, but I should get you back.”
“Will you tell Mom hi for me? And that I love her. And that I’m sorry.”
Melanie stood and hugged me. “Of course. I got your back, always.” She flicked my hair over my shoulder.
We loaded back into the car and headed back to the house. We talked candidly on the way back, and soon, we arrived. “I guess I’ll say bye to you now. I don’t know if I’ll stop at the house or not.” She exited the car and hugged me tight.

With over ten books out, Renea Porter is best known for writing realistic stories with realistic characters. Her stories may even cause you to shed a tear or two. She mainly writes New Adult and Contemporary Romances. However, she’s not afraid to venture into other genre’s like Paranormal Romance.

She enjoys spending time with her husband of fourteen years, and step son. She calls Pennsylvania home, but loves to travel and try new things. In her free time you can catch her reading books, watching reality tv, and baking.

“What are you so happy about? I just told you what a disaster my life has become and you think it’s funny?” I poke his rock hard stomach. He catches my hand with his and uses it to tug me forward. I stumble into him awkwardly, landing against his chest. His arms slide around me, resting low on my waist…dangerously low…almost into ass territory low. Both of my palms are flat against his chest and it’s difficult for me to resist the urge to slide them down his stomach and back up under his shirt. His skin would be scorching hot on my hands as I slowly traced his defined abdominal muscles. Stop it. Focus. My eyes raise up to meet his and there’s an answering smirk playing around the right corner of his lips as if he knows I was lost in lust filled thoughts of him.

As a boy, he was like an older brother to her.

As a teenager, he became her secret crush.

As a man, he’s her target and she’s determined to get him out of her system once and for all.

Jake Wilde doesn’t live a tame existence. He never has. He never will.

His career as a smokejumper in Alaska? Dangerous.

His female conquests? Copious.

His stance on commitment? Never happening.

But when the girl from his past shows up at his door as a woman, Jake Wilde is about to learn a valuable lesson. Never, ever play with fire . . . unless you’re looking to get burned.

AP new - excerpt.jpg

“How many guys am I meeting?” I asked after he parked the Jeep outside of the smokejumper base. There were a handful of other trucks and Jeeps staggered around, but it was hard to tell just how many people were inside.

“You’re not meeting any guys.” He threw open his door and crawled out.

“Um, I’m an investigative reporter. My job is to investigate.” I closed the door behind me and came around the front of the Jeep where he was waiting. He was so tall. I didn’t remember him being this massive.

That could have been because the context in which I considered his size was different now. The little girl had seen a big brother who could stand up to a bully. The woman saw a man who could hold her in his arms while he screwed her.

“You can ask me all of the questions you need to. I’ll give you the tour and everything later on. When they’re all gone or asleep.” He leaned into his Jeep and crossed his arms.

“A good reporter has multiple sources.”

“No. All you need is one good source.”

I sighed and clamped my teeth down on my pen again. His forehead creased again, like before. Was he worried about my pen? The integrity of my teeth?

“No, I’d need a really, really great source, so until that happens, I’ll keep to the multiple source way of doing things.”

His smile crept into place. “You have no clue how really, really great my source is.”

Was he making a lewd joke? An innuendo? With me? God knew I’d heard him and Matt go back and forth like a couple of one-track-minded cavemen, but he’d never been so forward with me.

I liked it. I really liked it.

Two could play at this game though.

“Just how great is your source?” I lifted an eyebrow, my gaze dipping to his belt region.

He shoved off of his Jeep and moved closer. “Astoundingly great.”

I chewed the inside of my cheek to keep from smiling. “Does your ‘source’ get the job done?”

He smiled down at the ground and kept moving closer. I hoped he wouldn’t stop until he crashed into me and pinned me up against the wall behind me. “I’ve never heard any complaints.”

Wilde Fire is what the title says, Wild and Fiery. It was a quick, hot read that made me want to go up to Alaska and not just because it’s entering the 90s in California, if you catch my drift 😉

I work in a fire department so I’m always drawn to books that have something to do with the fire service. And not just for the firemen.

Jake and Bree have immediate chemistry that FLIES off the pages, er kindle. You get the point. A hot read, not insta-love but close.

Drew McGovern is living for two. Her fiancé, Colby, used to savor the feeling of a powerful gale, the rain pelting his face as the sky grew dark—until a shocking tragedy struck him down. But when she reconnects with Colby’s best friend, Aiden O’Neal, Drew gets a breath of fresh air that stirs the ashes of her broken heart.

Aiden doesn’t trust himself around Drew. Now he’s trying his best to behave himself. But when the wind ruffles Drew’s hair and puts a sparkle in her eye, Aiden can’t resist the urge to hold her close. And when it comes to true love, he’s holding out hope that lightning strikes twice.

Blown Away.

Exactly what I was when I read this book.  I read it within a day because I couldn’t put it down!  Day job notwithstanding; I HAD to know how Drew (I love women named Drew) and Aiden’s story would turn out!

I am not one for extreme weather – I whimper at lightning – but I found the storm chasing phenomenon and information fascinating!  It’s not something I could do but the level of detail and information that was given by Murph about the storms and cells was just astounding!  And I am NOT a science person at all, but I learned some things in reading Blown Away.

Drew is a girly girl, working in a salon, doing girl things but after her fiance dies unexpectedly, she finds herself adrift.  Until she runs into her storm-chasing pal who extends an invite to come join the team on their next excursion.  Fast forward to the chase.  And Drew is “living” with Aiden, Murph, Millie and Tex.  Oh Tex.  He is a crack up.  You can’t not love Tex.  He has some fantastic one-liners in the book and I’d LOVE to see him have his own story.  Hint Hint.

BLACK Copyright 2016 by Aria Cole

“You’re only twenty-one?” I ran a palm through my hair, thinking how I’d already had my dick between her legs, tasted her on my tongue. Jesus, she’s just out of high school. “How can you be so calm? Jesus, I nearly fucked you on my desk. Why didn’t you tell me you were only twenty-one?”

“It won’t make it any less true the more times you say it.” Her eyes flashed. “And we’re not that far apart.” She shrugged, then popped a bite into her mouth.

“Not that far? Ten years seems pretty far to me,” I bit, never feeling so goddamn old as I did sitting next to her in all her pretty, youthful glory. Jesus, she was beautiful. Why was she even here with me? The angry bastard with the nasty scar? I didn’t deserve her.

“Hey, chill out.” She plucked a bite from the plate and held it out for me. I snagged it between my teeth and chewed, never breaking eye contact. Her eyes glistened with amusement as she watched me, her full lips tipped in a Cheshire grin.

“Fine. But maybe don’t tell anyone your age for now,” I ground through my teeth before tightening my palm at her thigh again.

A soft chuckle fell from her lips. “Who would I tell? You’re my only friend.” Her palm covered mine as she threaded her fingers through mine. “What’s with the hands on me all the time thing, anyway?” Elle uttered just as she took another sip of her beer bottle. A girl who drank beer, the walking embodiment of a man’s dream come true. She was so cool, calm, and collected, I could certainly take a play or two from her book.

“Let’s them know you’re mine,” I ground, still uncomfortable with the fact that she was so much younger than me.

“Yours?” She almost spit out her beer with her chuckle. “That’s a little soon, don’t you think?”

“Not when you know,” I answered simply. The silence fell and I knew her mind was probably on fire with thoughts again. “Listen, I don’t want anyone else thinking they have a chance with you. This shows them not to fuck with my property.” I squeezed at her thigh, thinking I’d explained myself sufficiently enough.

“Your property?” Elle hummed as she pushed her half-eaten plate of food away before downing the rest of her bottle. “Your property?”

Oh shit.

“Elle!” I hollered, my thick thighs pushing the table across noisy tile when I stood hastily. “Elle!” I took long strides out the door, feeling at my neck the burn of judgment from everyone in that small place. Fuck this. This was why I didn’t go out in public.

“Goddamn it, slow down!” I boomed down the sidewalk where I saw her clutching her purse and leveling me with a glare. Jesus Christ, this woman was going to be the death of me. “Don’t run from me like that again, hear me?” I cupped her elbow and pressed her body against the cool brick of the building. “You are mine.” I ran my nose up the curve of her neck and nipped at her soft earlobe. “Even if you don’t know it yet, I can feel it,” I grit and thrust my hands into her mass of wild waves, pulling her head to mine and fucking her with my tongue. She returned the gesture, but with more ferocity than she’d ever shown before. I yanked at both of her thighs and pulled her limbs around my waist, angling her against the wall, my cock nestled right between her legs, right where he liked being.

“I’m not yours,” she uttered in protest as she nibbled at my bottom lip.

“The fuck you aren’t.” I gripped at one thigh, my other hand trailing between us to find the slick skin under her skirt and beneath her panties. “And this.” I pulled my thumb through the silky hot flame of her pussy and brought it up to my mouth, letting her arousal glisten across my full lips. “Proves you’re a liar.” I sucked her sweet honeysuckle musk off my thumb, then pulled her lips to mine again, crushing her with bruising force as I tasted her, desperate for more. Always desperate for more when it came to sweet Elle.

TBRreview

Black by Aria Cole is exactly what it says it will be with insta-love.  But especially during finals week, insta-love and a quick read are greatly appreciated.

I love the fact that Maxwell works in a library and spends his days with books.  In a way, this reminded me a little of The Hunchback of Notre Dame – except that Maxwell has exiled himself rather than society.  And Elle doesn’t see his scars just an attractive man who seems to be very attracted to her and has no problems letting her know that.

Black is a standalone that does have an HEA but I can’t wait to read White also!!

4 stars!

Blog Tour ~ Finding London ~ by ~ Ellie Wade

Title: Finding London (Flawed Heart #1)
Author: Ellie Wade
Release Date: April 25, 2016
Add to Goodreads
London Wright thought she’d been in love before, but she hadn’t—not even close.
Then, she met him.
Rugged and gorgeous, Loïc Berkeley, is everything she’s ever wanted. Getting him to notice her was a challenge, but keeping his love is proving to be more difficult.
London is used to getting what she wants, so loving someone like Loïc is a humbling and somewhat terrifying experience. For everything she has in her life, he’s the one thing she can’t bear to lose.
Loïc never wanted love. He views it as an unneeded distraction that always ends in disappointment, causing nothing but pain.
Then, he met her.
Spoiled but witty and breathtakingly beautiful, London Wright is his undoing. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he knew his life would never be the same. Though he tries to fight it, he finds himself falling for her.
Loïc has lived a life full of sorrow, but finding London brings him rare happiness. Though his feelings for her are strong, is what they have powerful enough to break the cycle of his past?
When one is destined for heartbreak and loss, can love really change anything?
“Listen, Loïc,” she starts to say, her voice sweet and kind.
“Just save it, London,” I snap before I can stop myself. My walls and ability to be an eternal asshole are back in full effect.
Her eyes widen, but she quickly composes herself. She stands on her tiptoes and gives me a small kiss on the cheek. My body stiffens at the contact. She turns to leave, and her hand grabs the knob of the door.
But then, almost on instinct, she looks back at me. “I was just going to say that I really want to be fucked up together. And whatever reason you have for thinking you don’t deserve someone to love you is wrong. I see you, Loïc, more than you think I do. You’re a good person, and you deserve way more in this life than you’re allowing yourself to have. I don’t know why you’re punishing yourself, but you should stop. Maybe I’m not the person you need, but you need to find the one who is. Everyone needs love, even a big, bad warrior. Not everything in life should be a battle.”
TBRreview
Loïc and London are just magic.
London, simply put, is a spoiled princess who has always gotten what she wants with boys.  Until Loïc.  Loïc is unlike any man that London has met before.  And that intrigues her.  Loïc doesn’t want to want London but he does.  He fights it valiantly but London isn’t one to give up easily.
Loïc has a deep dark past that we learn about in bits and pieces throughout the book.  And we start to learn why he doesn’t want to want London.  But also why he can’t stay away.
Finding London isn’t necessarily a cliffhanger BUT their story continues in the second book, Keeping London.  Which I can’t wait for!!

Plow Teaser

Excerpt

Fuck, she’s gorgeous. Already a pain in my ass, but damn it if she isn’t the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.

“This isn’t necessary,” she says as she struggles to get out of my grasp. She’s hell-bent on freezing her ass off out here, but I’m not letting it happen on my watch.

“Settle down, Princess. If anyone is watching, they’ll think I’m kidnapping you.” I smirk.

“You practically are,” she wails.

“Are you always this princess like?”

“You keep calling me Princess? What’s that supposed to mean?” Her eyes narrow.

“Just what I said. Princess.” My lip turns up as she starts to pull away from me.

She shrugs out of my grip, which I allow, and heads towards my truck without another word. I watch her hips sway as she walks briskly. She’s completely underdressed for this kind of weather. Even before the snow started, it was definitely cold enough that she should have had a heavy coat. Nope, not princess. She’s in some long tight shirt over a pair of leggings. Her heels, although completely inappropriate for the weather only add to her sexiness.

She whips around when she gets to the truck. “Well, are you coming or are we to sit out here and freeze to death?”

I shake my head in exasperation and stalk towards her. I don’t miss her perusal of my body. She takes her time looking me over. It’s brazen and hot as fuck.

“See something you like, Princess?” I smirk once I’m within reach of her.

“I-what? You’re insane.”

I unlock the truck.

“Aren’t you going to open the door?” she questions.

“This isn’t valet. You can open it yourself.” Her thin arm reaches out and begins to struggle with the handle. She won’t be able to jimmy it open. That shits been busted for years. After struggling with it for a few minutes she turns to me, our gaze meeting and she furrows her eyebrows. My lip turns up and I finally help her out.

Once the door is open, she huffs but attempts to climb in. I place my hands on her slim hips to help give her a boost. She’s average height, 5’6” if I’m guessing, and her long blonde hair has me leaning in and catching a whiff of coconut. I sigh without thinking.

“Did you just sniff my hair?” she calls over her shoulder.

“Get in.” I nudge her ass.

“Hey!” she yells.

“Princess, I’m freezing my dick off out here. Can you get a move on?”

“You can’t be serious!”

“Just get in the damn truck.” My jaw clenches and starts to rattle from the cold. As soon as she clears the door, I plop into the driver’s seat and turn up the heat full blast.
