They say it’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. I think that’s total bullshit. No one wants to be a loser in the Game of Love. Trust me, I know. With a lying fiancee and a canceled wedding, I’ve lost big time.
And that loss turned me bitter, so hell bent on vengeance that I almost let it destroy everything. Determined never to go down that dark path again, I’ve sworn off romance. Work became my priority, my safe place, the one constant in my life that wouldn’t tempt me.
Until I took on a project I normally wouldn’t, and it introduced me to someone I never would have talked to before. No matter how hard I try, my professionalism slips away the more we work together, and I know it’s a disaster in the making.
Bad things happen when I open my guarded heart. But when I look at her, bad things are all I want to do.

Emily Goodwin is the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author of over a dozen of romantic titles. Emily writes the kind of books she likes to read, and is a sucker for a swoon-worthy bad boy and happily ever afters.

Everything about taking this girl back to my place felt wrong, but once I saw her in that sexy-ass dress and those six-inch heels, it was over. My dick wouldn’t stay down no matter what the fuck I thought about, and her and Shannon dry humping each other in the club sealed the deal. She looked at me with those fuck-me eyes, and I knew I was going balls deep into that pussy.
I went into the bathroom to take a hit of coke before I fucked her. A girl like that deserved godlike sex, and that was what she was going to get.
I knew she was probably dissecting my room, but I didn’t give a fuck. Once I came back, she wouldn’t have anything else to think about except coming on my cock. I shoved her back onto the bed and my cock damn near ripped through my jeans. Calm down, boy.
Running my hands up and down her smooth thighs, heat radiated from in between. I wanted to rip her panties off and rub her bud, but I was going to take my time. I wanted to torture her in the worst way possible.
She propped herself up on her elbows, and I slid my hands behind her, unzipping her dress. She lay back and shifted her hips up into the air, allowing me to slide the material right off and onto the floor. The lace bra she had on molded to her tits like a glove. I unclasped it with one swift motion, and her perfect mounds barely moved.
Her dark hair splayed across my pillows as I ran my tongue down the side of her neck. Her nipples stiffened as I rolled each peak between my fingers, and she let out a soft moan.
“I’m going to claim every inch of this body, Penelope,” I growled in her ear as my fingers made their way down to her mound. I ripped her panties off and ran my thumb over her clit then dipped a finger into her wetness. Bringing my hand up to my mouth, I smelled her essence and it drove me wild.
“You can have all of me, anywhere, anytime.”
Good girl.
I slid down to the side of the bed, yanking her with me, and ran my nose across her sweet, hairless pussy. I needed to feel, smell, and taste everything she had to offer. Her legs relaxed on either side of my shoulders and I slid two fingers inside her tight channel, stretching her as much as I could before I graced her with my tongue.
Flattening, rolling, twisting, sucking, lapping, my tongue was made for this pussy. Her hands grasped the back of my head and I stopped.
“Please, don’t stop,” she begged.
“Keep your hands to yourself and I won’t.” She sucked her teeth and grasped the sheets by her sides as I continued until her thighs constricted around my head. A rush of fluid released from her as her entire body heated and seized from my touch. I slid my jeans off, pumped my cock with my free hand, and sucked every last drop from her.
I flipped her over, and her legs were like Jell-O. “C’mon, baby girl, if you want to experience the best night of your life, you have to participate.”
She held herself up on all fours and as much as I wanted to slip right into her willing pussy, I ran my thumb against her asshole. Tensing with my touch, I reached around her hips and rubbed her clit again, distracting her enough to relax. I grabbed a bottle of lube from the nightstand and let a few drops run over my cock and in between her cheeks. Whether she’d done this before or not, I was getting in that firm, tight ass.
When she was nice and relaxed, I pushed the head of my cock at her entrance and slid in, as slow and deep as I could.

Vannguard Shaw has spent the last ten years serving a life sentence and adjusting to the ache of solitude. He accepts his fate, a sacrifice for the only man he ever loved and the one person who saw beyond his rough edges.

I’m not a poet or even a good writer. But, staring at the page, the words find me eventually. And I begin to write.

Badump.
Badump.
Badump.
I close my eyes, listening to my heart speed up as he kisses me again. I can’t remember if the fluttery feeling in my chest feels different. I wonder if it gave my donor a similar feeling.
It’s great, both the feeling and the kiss.
Colors and emotions swirl through my head, painting a masterpiece. This kiss is the pièce de résistance.
I didn’t expect this side of him. This passionate, artistic side of him that cares for his sister in a way that very few people could handle. I knew he was different when I saw how much effort he’s putting into the Triumph Bonneville.
I just didn’t realize how different. I was serious when I told him he was an artist. I was even more serious when I told him that after the kiss.
Everything is clicking into place in the most wonderful ways. My world is going in the right direction. And it feels wonderful, just like Rhys’s kiss.
I want him.

The boy next door. That’s what he was. Dash Frasier—my hero from the day we met, when I was six and he was nine. His sister was my best friend, the three of us one happy crew. Then one sweaty summer night changed everything.
No one understood me like Dash. No one made me feel so loved. That’s why, when he skipped town, it wrecked me.
Now I’m older. Wiser. I’ve just snagged my dream job, writing at a film studio. The lead animator on my project? You guessed it.
He’s not the boy next door. Not anymore.
I’m guarding my heart this time.
But Dash has secrets that could break us both.

This was another book that I loved then hated the hero then you loved him again. He seemed sweet and caring and just totally perfect for Amelia. Then events happen (not telling you what, you have to read it) and you truly hate him.
Fast forward years later and of course Amelia and Dash run into each other. They’re working on a project together. How long will they last as coworkers?
Amelia finally gets an answer to what happened to Dash and why he disappeared. And it was NOT what I was expecting. But that is what made me love him again.
I definitely want to read more of this series and see how the couples are related between each story.

Blurb
Sage Mayson had Kimberly Cullen once, and the memory of that brief encounter has tortured him since the moment he pushed her away. He should have followed his gut, but he didn’t, and now he’s left watching the woman he wants more than anything from afar.
Kimberly vowed to protect her heart from Sage, but when her sister is murdered and her world starts to fall apart, he’s the one person she finds herself leaning on.
Getting a second chance is something Sage knows is rare. He’s not going to squander the one he’s been given, and he won’t take no for an answer when it comes to making Kim his.
But what Sage doesn’t know is Kim has a secret that could leave them both devastated and heartbroken.

EXCERPT
“He apologized. Don’t you think you should do the polite thing and at least hear him out?”
“I don’t know.”
“You don’t know, or you’re just too scared to find out what will happen if you do?”
“Do we have to do this right now?” I sigh, and he tosses his arm around my shoulders and pulls me into his side.
“We’ve been doing this for months now. I’ve seen the way you look at him when you think no one will notice, and I see the way he looks at you, not giving a fuck if everyone sees. Even when he thought you and I were a thing, he still made it perfectly clear to those who were watching that if by some chance he got a shot, you would be his.”
“I really think you are reading way too much into this.”
“Am I?”

I was NOT a fan of Sage in the beginning. He was just arrogant and kinda douchey to me. He made up for it though by the end. And then I was rooting for him and Kim to get together.
Kim was taken in by Sage once and then he left. She’s not going to forgive him just because he realized he made a big mistake. But then he goes above and beyond and is by her side when she’s going through a rough time.
A sweet story that totally made up for Sage’s initial douche canoe-ness. At least he was to me.
