Book Tour ~ Just One Glance ~ by ~ C.A. Harms

Title: Just One Glance

Series: Oh’ Tequila
Author: C.A. Harms
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: October 1, 2020
I’m the one known for swinging my junk around in the middle of a crowded college party. The hashtag #dicksaswinging will follow me around forever.

Too much tequila, and very little thought triggered the wild reaction of me streaking through my fraternity, and hell I even wore tassels in areas tassels should never be placed.

I’d always been known as the quiet one. The brother that rarely said anything and instead stood back to observe on most occasions, yeah that was me, well until that night.

In my defense, shit like that happens all the time because I lived in more of a zoo than an actual fraternity. It just didn’t happen to me.

Then I found her…

Just One Glance, I never believed in that type of thing. No freaking way could you see someone from across the room and that simple glance knocks you on your ass.

Seeing Ruby amidst all the chaos, she stood out. The timid way she worried her hands, her eyes as big as saucers while she looked around almost like at any moment she was going to bolt. It was adorable and seeing her, it changed everything.

She was nothing like the girls I normally dated. She was quiet, innocent and sweet. She was the complete opposite of me, and if I was a better man I would walk away.

C.A. Harms is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn’t always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.

She lives in Illinois and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. You will always find her with her kindle or paperback in hand as it is her favorite pass time.

She’s drowning under the weight of her lies.

Denise Randall is the youngest of the Randall siblings, their perfect princess. But her perfection is nothing but a façade – one that’s carefully hidden under a crown of lies. It takes everything she has to ensure the truth remains concealed, that her true feelings and imperfections stay in the shadows where they’ve always been due to her siblings and the family drama that surrounds the Randall family. But a person can only hold so much in before it becomes too painful a burden to bear, until the cost becomes too great a price to pay. When things turn dangerous and the shadows she once lived in hold something far more sinister, she finds help in an unlikely source. Keaton Sloan, like everyone in town, has known the Randall family his entire life. He went to school with the older Randall siblings, and his best friend, Noah Wallace, is in a relationship with Denise’s older sister, Alice. It hasn’t escaped Sloan’s notice that Denise Randall has grown into a stunningly beautiful young woman. Despite his attractions, she’s off limits, not only because she’s his friend’s younger sister, but because he works for her father. Things change between them one fateful night when Denise runs into his arms. Sloan may not be a prince, but he’s willing to help keep her crown on straight and her secrets hidden in exchange for her. But this isn’t a fairytale and while he’ll willingly protect the princess, she’ll have to save herself as well before she drowns in her lies. The biggest question is how do you know the truth when it’s built on so many lies?

Gail Haris believes in fairytales, love, and laughter as the best medicine. She was born and raised in a small town in Southeast Missouri. After graduating with a degree in Mass Communications, Gail went on adventures traveling in America and Europe. But her favorite adventures are the ones where she gets lost in a book. Her love for reading and traveling lead her to attend book conventions. Those conventions gave her the encouragement she needed to combine her passion for creativity and storytelling. Using coffee and her imagination, she loves writing contemporary romances that blend laughter and true love out of every day chaos. When Gail isn’t day dreaming in front of her computer, she’s busy raising her two daughters with the man of her dreams. She loves traveling with her family, binge watching television series with her husband, singing Disney songs with her daughters, and having huge family and friends get-togethers that involve lots of food and usually a cake. She hopes by following her own dream of becoming an author, she can set an example to her daughters that dreams can become a reality. Maybe she can encourage you too. Never stop believing in love, dreams, and yourself. And coffee…don’t give up on coffee and books 😉

Cover Reveal ~ Saving Reli ~ by ~ Brooke Summers

Title: Saving Reli
Author: Brooke Summers
Genre: Dark Fairytale Romance
Release Date: October 30, 2020
Cover Design: Design Bunnies
Reli
My life isn’t a fairytale. It’s raw, painful, and battered.
Losing my father was the start of my downfall.
The nightmare I lived for two years shaped me.
The scars I have run deep.
I was broken.
Until him.
John
The moment I saw her, I knew she was mine.
I was thirty-one and she was fifteen.
I bided my time, waiting.
Then I saw her and there was no way I was staying away.
She was a shell of the girl I remember.
She says she’s broken.
I’m going to show her that she’s a diamond in the rough.
She’s mine and I’m not letting her go.
One way or another, I’m saving Reli.
Warning:
Saving Reli is a dark fairytale romance that contains strong sexual themes and violence, which could trigger emotional distress. The abuse written in this story is graphic and not glossed over, which could be upsetting to some. This story is NOT for everyone. Proceed with caution.

I feel physically sick after hearing what Reli has been through. When she opened the door I bit back a curse as I took in her face. The split lip, the bloodshot eyes, not to mention the bruises that shine brightly on her face. She took a beating last night or this morning. A severe one by the looks of things. I need to get her to a doctor. Preferably a hospital but I’m not sure she’ll go for that.

By the looks of it, it looks like she has taken years of abuse both physically and mentally. What she’s endured makes me want to track Talia Maine down and kill the bitch. Talia and her minions have turned a girl that was broken hearted from losing her father into their fucking slave. They’ve made her life a living hell and I’m going to do everything in my power to ensure that they get the same in return. I’m going to fucking ruin them.

“Is this happening every day?” I’m not sure how I’ve managed to keep my voice calm and even but I’m fucking glad. The last thing Reli needs is my anger, it’s not directed at her, but she’s been mistreated so badly that she’d probably think it was.

She wrings her hands together and shrugs. Something passes through her eyes and I realize that she’s not told me everything. I can’t push her, if I do she could close up, or run and she’s too frail to go anywhere.

“Reli, talk to me. I want to help.” I plead with her, I’m not used to feeling helpless and right now, there’s nothing that I can do. I want to pull her into my arms and hold her tight, but she’s fucking seventeen.

The sheer sadness in her eyes makes my gut clench. “You can’t. No one can.” She shifts in her seat a strangled cry springs from her lips as tears form in her eyes.

Fuck, “Reli, you need to see the doctor. Will you let me bring you to the hospital?”

She nods, her entire body shaking as the tears fall down her face.

Thank Christ.

I quickly push the button for the intercom and speak to my driver. “Lance, take us to the hospital.”

“Yes boss.” He replies instantly.

He’ll take us to a hospital that I trust. One that we use for my men if we’re injured. Where I know they’ll keep this shit quiet.

Reli leans back against the seat and closes her eyes, her face tense and full of pain. I hate seeing her like this. I need to comfort her. I unsnap her seat belt buckle and her eyes pop open, the fear in them has me fighting back a curse.

“Let me help you.” I murmur and she just stares at me as I reach for her. I pull her into my lap and she shuts down even more. “Reli, I’m not going to hurt you.” But my words fall on deaf ears, she doesn’t know that, she doesn’t really know me.

I hold her close, needing to feel her in my arms. “Where are you sore the most?” I ask her, she’s barely able to breathe without wincing.

“My back.” She gasps as Lance takes a sharp corner and she’s jolted in my arms.

I ask her if it’s okay to have a look. I need to see what’s wrong with her, she nods turning her head away from me. I lift up her top and my jaw clenches at what I see. Black bruises run from the top of her neck to the bottom of her spine.

Oh God, what on earth has this woman been doing to her?

“Reli, why didn’t you tell me about your back? What did she do to you?”

Looking back at me, she licks her lips, her eyes wide with fear. “I don’t know,” she whispers and I frown, how can she not know? “Yesterday…” she begins softly and my body tenses. “She hit me…”
I’m Brooke, I’m a Londoner born and raised. I live with my fiancee and our daughter.
I’m a foul mouthed, dirty minded weirdo.
I’m an introvert who would rather spend the night in front of the fire reading than go out.

Exclusive Excerpt:

“That was great,” Bells says from where she’s lying flat on her back next to me. “I know we gave Boyd shit about it when he said he enjoyed yoga with Ruby, but maybe he’s onto something.”

I smile, staring up at the sky and the trees that sway in the light breeze above us. We both lie there for a while, just enjoying the outside time and the beautiful weather.

“Hey, B?”

When I feel her hand slip into mine, I look over and find my sister watching me, her light brown eyes narrowed with concern.

“I know I’m not Boyd,” she tells me, “and I know I’m younger than you and you’ve never really, you know, talked to me about your life in any kind of real way…but I just want you to know I’m here for you if you need somebody.”

Something thick settles in my throat, something that feels oddly like the sensation right before tears. I work hard to swallow it down.

“Like if you want to talk about what happened with Chad, or…”

I pull my body up so I’m no longer lying on my back, letting go of my sister’s hand in the process.

“Thanks, but I’m good.”

I know my words aren’t what Bellamy wants to hear. She’s the definition of being our mother’s daughter—outgoing, friendly, and above all, has a strong desire to talk about things.

But I don’t want to talk about Chad. I don’t want to talk about my life with him where I felt so unhappy. I think about it enough on my own.

Nobody else needs to hear about the mistakes I made. Nobody else needs to know about all the times I let myself down.

Because that’s really the reason I left Chad.

He didn’t cheat on me. He didn’t hit me or hurt me. Sure, he might not have been the biggest supporter of me going after things I wanted, and yeah, he basically just wanted me to be a woman who took care of him and slept with him and didn’t cause a fuss.

But I left because I was disappointed in myself.

I had all those big plans, big plans and big ideas for my big life in the big city, and I let myself get made small. I let myself get dismissed, settling into a life that made me so unhappy I hardly knew what to do with myself.

I’m ashamed of who I became. I didn’t recognize the woman in the mirror anymore, having allowed the man in my life to warp what I saw until I finally smashed my reflection to pieces.

How am I supposed to talk about that with my younger sister? She’s supposed to be able to look up to me, and all she’ll see if I tell her about Chad and my life down the mountain is someone who failed.

So I do the thing I know how to do.

I give her a smile and pull away, keeping the broken and ugly bits of myself tucked away safely inside.

Nobody really wants to see those parts anyway.

New Release ~ Year 28 ~ by ~ JL Mac

Title: Year 28
Author: JL Mac
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Enemies to Lovers/Second Chance Romance
Release Date: October 1, 2020
Sylas Broussard. He’s the hometown golden boy. To the residents of sleepy, southern Palmetto Grove he’s a war hero, and a modern-day saint. My view of him does not quite align with the one they hold.

At ten I couldn’t stand him.
At fifteen I loathed him deeply.
At seventeen I loved him completely.
At eighteen I despised him passionately.
At twenty-eight…Well, it’s complicated.

I have been just fine staying in another time zone, keeping my focus on work and off my past. I would prefer to remain in the office, building on my professional reputation but my sister has called me home to attend her wedding where I know I will see him again.

I still hate him but I’d burn my world to the ground to forget our stupid pact and protect him from the awful truth. Keeping my secret in the past is difficult and getting out of the pact I made is harder still.

Not loving Sylas Broussard like everyone else in our hometown—impossible.

***

Raegan Potter. She’s the former love of my life and the pride of Palmetto Grove turned into an ice queen. She’s been living it up on the east coast in her designer threads and cushy job. I’m betting she won’t think she’s so high and mighty when she’s forced to face me after a decade of radio silence.

Ten years ago she walked away from me without explanation, but not before making me one big promise. She made a pact and I’m going to hold her to it. If she thought I had forgotten, she thought wrong.

There are a few certainties about hanging out with Chick that I had totally forgotten. One, he’s a lady’s man. Two, he loves beer. Three, he also loves tequila. Four, he’s great at pressuring his peers into doing dumb things they really should refrain from. Five, he’s a lot of fun to spend time with.

But lying here now in a T-shirt belonging to Chick that I vaguely recall tugging on after texting my mom to tell her I was too inebriated to drive home and would be staying at Chick’s house, none of the fun from last night matters. This brand of hangover is never worth the fun that precipitated it. As the blackness of sleep slips away, the headache and nausea edge in. Somehow, the scent of coffee snakes through the tequila vapors and coils around my sloshed brain. I moan, squeezing my eyes tighter shut while pressing my fingers to my temple. Chick’s couch is comfy enough but no amount of anything good could have prevented the raging hangover I earned with every shot we consumed at the bowling alley bar last night.

Was it four shots or five?

The eerie sensation of eyes on me has me forgetting all about my throbbing head and roiling gut. My pulse quickens and I do a mental inventory of my body. I’m still in the tee shirt Chick tossed at me last night as I stumbled to his bathroom cellphone in hand. The fleece blanket I only half unfolded across my legs is still where I left it, its slight weight a reassurance that nothing unseemly took place last night. Anxiety is pacing the room in my head.

With careful precision I crack open one eye just a sliver then in an instant my heart slams to a violent, jolting halt.

“Happy twenty-eighth birthday, Rae. Ready to be a woman of your word and make good on our deal?” Familiar chocolate eyes twinkle with amusement as a store bought carrot cake is pushed toward me on Chicken Nugget’s coffee table.

Sylas Broussard.

I don’t move a muscle—and scarcely draw breath with my eyes still cracked open only a tiny bit. Sylas fishes a cigarette lighter from his shirt pocket and leans his bulky frame forward, then lights a single white candle on top my favorite cake which he did on purpose no doubt. Of course he’d remember a detail like my favorite cake.

Just like I know he too loves carrot cake with Chantilly cream icing.

The orange flame flickers and dances in the stillness between us. He on one side of the coffee table and me sprawled, hung over and significantly worse for the wear on the other. Oh how flattering this scene is.

“Make a wish, Rae,” he murmurs and something mischievous lurks behind his all American smile. I turn my attention to Chick who is by the entrance to his kitchen, apparently freshly showered as evidenced by his wet mop of dark blonde hair. He’s got a mug in one hand and an apologetic smile on his face.

“No thanks,” I snap at Sylas, hauling myself off the couch. I turn and face Chick. “There for your friends, huh?” I growl at him. He grimaces and clicks his tongue.

“Never said which friend,” he smiles stiffly.

“Asshole,” I mouth.

“Sorry,” he says back. I snag the candle from the cake and turn it over, jamming the wick end down into the creamy icing. My eyes find Sy’s and I feel homicidal seeing his mouth twitch in amusement. I don’t know where my car is, but walking back to my parent’s house in the Louisiana humidity is far more appealing than sitting here in Chicken Nugget’s living room with Sylas for a moment longer.

I locate my Converse—one by the front door and another closer to the couch I slept on. I jam my feet down into them, not bothering with tying the laces. I grab my small pile of things off the coffee table and make my hasty exit all with Sylas Broussard’s arrogant smirk crawling over my skin. The bastard! And Chick… I can’t sufficiently begin to describe the tongue-lashing he has earned himself. Seeing Sylas in the same room, breathing the same air, feeling the energy rolling off him in waves… it’s all too familiar, too powerful, too much. But, of course, he always was too much. Even back then. Even now, years later.

EXCERPT

DEAN

Red colors the corners of my vision. Even sitting alone in his giant fucking houses with wounds all over my body from nightly ‘training’ sessions. Even after I’d killed my first traitor. Even through the worst of my adolescence and childhood, I’d never felt this angry. And before I can stop to think or ask myself why it’s like this with her it’s already too late.
More broken glass crunches under my shoes as I snatch her up and slam her back into another wall, shoving my body against her, letting one of my legs between her thighs. “You do belong to me,” I tell her in the coldest of tones. “I can do whatever I want with you and there’s nothing you can do to stop me. You’re not going to run away. I’m not going to let you run back to him—he only wants to fuck whores anyway … or wait, is that what you want? You want me to fuck you like a whore? I thought I pleased you enough already, but if that’s what you want baby…” I move back, dropping her back to the floor so that I can see her reaction.
Big fucking mistake. Avalon shoots away from me and when I move to follow her she turns back around and punches me in the nose. “Shit!” I stumble back as blood pours down over my upper lip, but she’s not done yet. Oh no, not my girl. She rears back and delivers what I might’ve called the perfect full frontal kick if it hadn’t been aimed directly for my balls.
I go down in a heap, wheezing as pain ricochets through me. The glass on the floor cuts through my fucking jeans and I can feel the stings of each wound. None are greater, though, than the thought that I’ve been well, and truly fucking fucked by her.
A small feminine hand sifts through my hair, yanking my head back as I try to catch my breath and keep from throwing up. Her other hand grabs my throat as she leans down and hisses in my ear—and even through the agony in my body and the fury I’m feeling, I can’t help but find her fucking magnificent in her own wrathful animosity.
“I am not any man’s property, Dean. Least of all yours.”
I cough and glare up at her. “You think not?” I ask. I try shaking my head, but it’s difficult with her nails scratching my scalp, holding me there. To think, just hours ago, those nails had been in different places and for much different reasons. “That’s all your pussy’s ever meant to be, baby,” I spit out. “Property. And I think that’s what kills you inside. So, regardless of how I might look to you now, Ava. I win and I will always win. You fucked with the wrong man.” She laughs. An honest to God, fucking laugh. “You think you’ve won? Oh no, Dean.” She shakes her head. “You didn’t win. You opened Pandora’s box, and my demons are coming for you.”
