Pre-Release Blitz ~ See No Evil ~ by ~ Ivy Fox

Title: See No Evil
Series: The Society #1
Author: Ivy Fox
Genre: New Adult College Romance
Release Date: April 30, 2020

They thought they could get away with it, but they are sorely mistaken.

They have been judged. They have been sentenced. All that remains is their execution.
No one goes unpunished. We’ll make sure of it.
We are The Society and all who dare cross us will find their miserable end by our hand.
Don’t be fooled. This is not their story.
It’s ours.
Finn
As long as I can remember, I’ve played by the rules.
On and off the football field, I’ve done everything that has been expected of me.
Until that fatal night.
Now my life and the lives of my best friends hang in the balance, hung there by a sadistic sinister shadow forcing us to do their will.
And it’s just my damn luck that I’m the first to be put on their butcher’s block.
I must prove my worth by eradicating a certain pebble in their shoe.
The order is simple.
To save ourselves, I must ruin another—a life for a life.
Meaning Stone Bennett’s life is about to be forfeited in exchange for my own.
The poor girl never stood a chance.
Stone
He’s all American perfection.
I’m the poster child for this country’s rejects.
He’s old Asheville money and privilege.
I’m the Southie eyesore people stay clear from.
He’s caviar dreams and champagne wishes.
I’m the trailer trash his momma probably warned him about.
I doubt it can get any further away from the elitist’s social spectrum than the two of us.
So why the hell is Finn Walker, Richfield’s football god, suddenly all in my face wanting my attention?
Nothing good can come from this.
I can feel it.
*The Society is an Enemies to Lovers, New Adult College Romance.
*Each book can be read as standalones. However all four books in this series have an entwined subplot, that will only be resolved in the final book.
*Recommended 18+ due to mature language and situations.

Stone is exactly what I suspected a Southie-born girl to look like—only so much more. Her bluish-black hair is purposely wrapped in a messy bun to proudly showcase her numerous earrings on both lobes and the barbell piercing on her brow. The way she’s playing with her tongue as she writes down her patron’s order, tells me she’s got more piercings hidden on her body—the only thing she’s probably hiding since most of everything else is on display.
She’s got on a short, ripped-up top, with a cut so deep at the front that you can’t help but stare at the red lace holding up two impressive, creamy breasts. The black shorts she’s got on barely covers her ass, but I think that’s intentional, so everyone can appreciate the red and black phoenix tattooed on her thick thigh.
All of her is too much. Too loud, and definitely too in your face. She’s nothing like the thin-twig debutant girls I’ve grown accustomed to. Not in the slightest. She’s all luscious curves, huge tits, and an even bigger ass. It’s like she was force-fed southern-fried cooking all her life while listening to Metallica—big, loud, and mean. Yep, that is the perfect description of Stone Bennett.
Even though she’s probably around five-foot-five, compared to my six-foot-four, she looks like she’d be able to swallow me in and spit me out with a fucking smile on her face. She’s not some wallflower that blossomed in the Southside dirt. She’s a force of nature who made that rough neck of the woods her bitch.
I’m so fucking screwed.
“She’s cute,” Easton has the audacity to say after taking stock of all of her features.
“You have got to be shitting me?” I bark out, outraged.
“What? She is. Actually, she’s more than cute. She’s fucking hot.” He smirks, going for another once over of all her tempting curves.
I’m tempted to smack him upside the head for his constant staring at her thick thighs and small waist, but I play the indifference card instead.
“If I was looking for Marilyn Manson’s bride to be, then yeah, I’m sure she’d fit the bill.”
Easton stops his flagrant ogling of Stone, snapping his head toward me, his annoyed frown taking center stage on his face.
“Stop being such a prejudiced douche, Finn. Even you can appreciate her level of hotness.”
“I’m not being judgmental or anything. I just don’t like being with a girl who looks like she might cut my balls off instead of suck them,” I grumble, tapping my foot repeatedly on the floor to show my disgruntlement.
“Well, make sure her tongue doesn’t have any sharp objects then,” he teases me, cocking a brow, and waving the girl in question over to our table. “However, you should be so lucky to have that mouth anywhere near your junk, you dick,” he hushes beneath his breath, all the while smiling over at Stone as she heads in our direction.
I stew in my own misery when she waltzes over with that same bored expression married to her lips, but not to her stunning, emerald eyes. As she comes closer, I can’t help the unnerving feeling that I like the color of her eyes way too much. They are the only light thing about her. Soft, green meadows that resemble cool, spring days. The ones we hardly ever enjoy down south, unique and invigorating.
Tattoos, thick thighs, and pretty eyes.
A lethal combination that ensures I’m royally fucked.

Pre-Order Blitz ~ Her Saviors ~ by ~ Sarah Bale

Title: Her Saviors
Series: Devil’s Regents MC
Author: Sarah Bale
Genre: MC Reverse Harem Romance
Release Date: February 25, 2020
Broken…

I’m the girl who hides in the shadows where it’s safe and no one can touch me. I’ve spent the last six years trying to fade into the background, but one knock on my door changes everything. It’s time to pay on a promise I made the day my life was saved.

Lost…

It sounds simple enough. Go undercover at the Devil’s Regents MC and just listen. See if I hear anything worth mentioning to the Feds. But then I meet Saint and his three club officers and things aren’t so clear. Because they make me feel. And that’s something I haven’t done in a very long time.

Saved…

A rival club threatens everything Saint and his men have worked so hard to build and they won’t go down without a fight. So I’ll stand with the four men who saved me and, together, we’ll protect those around us. And at the end of the day they’ll see just how far I’ll go to keep them safe.

***This is a motorcycle club, reverse harem romance and contains situations that some readers may find offensive. Reader discretion is advised.***

“Watch it,” Jas hisses, nearly knocking a tray of empty bottles and glasses out of my hands.“Sorry,” I mutter.

My entire body aches. I’ve served more bottles of beer than I can count and thrown away just as many empties. And Jas keep mysteriously disappearing, leaving me to do the majority of the work. Pulling my phone from my pocket, I see that it’s nearly two in the morning. Thank god. That means it’s almost closing time.

But two o’clock comes and goes. If anything, the club gets busier. The men who have been drinking for a while are getting rowdy, making me uneasy. I don’t trust drunk fuckers. I’ve seen firsthand what they can do when they think they’re being cute and try to avoid them at all costs. When I pass out another round, one of the guys breathes heavily in my face as he thanks me. Panic riots deep inside of me and I go back to the bar, putting the tray down.

“Jas, do you mind if I take a quick break?”

My pulse is pounding, blood roaring through my ears. I barely hear her response and take off down the hallway, where it’s quieter. There’s a doorway marked exit, so I go outside, exhaling deeply. A few guys are out here, but they don’t pay me any attention.

My therapist gave me some exercises for moments like this. Breathe in deeply. Hold. Exhale. I do this ten times and don’t feel any relief. Pacing, I fight back the tears that are building. Why is this happening now? I haven’t had a panic attack in almost a year now.

“You okay?”

A scream works its way up my throat and I feel dizzy. Strong hands steady me, and I look up, finding Saint looking down at me.

“Did someone hurt you?” When I don’t answer he gives me a little shake. “Olivia, did someone hurt you?”

I shake my head and manage to stutter out, “Panic attack.”

Understanding crosses his face.

“Come here.”

He takes me by the hand to the side of the building where we’re alone.

“Put both of your palms flush against the brick and push as hard as you can.”

Terror fights to take over. I want to run until nothing can ever hurt me ever again. I need to-

“Olivia. Fucking listen to me.” Something in his tone makes me look up. “Put your hands on the brick and push.”

My entire body shakes, but I do as he says. The beige brick is rough under my palms, but isn’t too painful. I push against it.

“That’s right. Push harder. Lean into it.”

I lean, pushing with all of my might. The panic inside lets up, and I’m able to inhale deeply, filling my lungs for the first time in several minutes. I stay like this until I’m in control of my emotions. And Saint stands there, too, never saying a word.

Finally, I feel grounded and in control.

“Sorry,” I say, as I move from the wall.

“There’s no need to apologize, Olivia.”

I like it when he says my name. The O rolls off his tongue and does something to my insides. But then I remember he’s off limits.

“I better get back in there. I don’t want Jas to get mad.”

He snorts at that. “She’s not normally such a bitch. If she keeps it up tomorrow, let me know and I’ll talk to her.”

“Does that mean I got the job?”

“Yeah, that’s what that means.” He puts his hands in his pockets. “I can only pay eight hundred a week. I’ll need you Thursdays to Sundays, from eight until three, or until the guys pass out. Will that work?”

I nod. “Yes. Thank you!”

“No need to thank me.” He smiles, taking my breath away. “And, if that happens again, just come out here and do the trick I showed you. It helps.”

The side door opens and Jas pops her head out. “Oh, there you are. I’m drowning in here and could use a hand.”

I give Saint another smile before going back inside. Jas wasn’t kidding. The bar is packed and several people stand at the bar, waiting to be served. But I feel lighter as I work. All thanks to Saint.

***

Saint

I go over the security footage again to make sure Olivia told me the truth. She was at a table when one of the guys said something to her. Her eyes got wide and she went back to the bar, dropping off her tray, before running outside as fast as she could. I’m not even sure she realizes how fast she got out of there. Obviously, something was wrong with her. Which is why I followed.

My brothers are good men, but a few of them don’t know how to handle their liquor, and I worried someone got out of line with her.

There’s a tap on the door and Bash comes in.

“Man, it’s fucking nuts out there. Didn’t think so many would show up for Church.”

“I’m glad. We’re going to need everyone to bring in the next shipment.”

Bash nods and is about to leave when I stop him.

“Bring Big E in here. He said something that upset the new girl, and I want to know what it was.”

“Will do.”

I go back to my paperwork, occasionally glancing at the monitors. Olivia stays behind the bar and Jas works the room. She smiles as she serves beer after beer, never looking cross once. Hell, I might have to invite Rabbit to the clubhouse for this find. Been a while since we’ve someone like her around here.

There’s a knock and Bash comes in with Big E.

Big E nods his head, swaying on his feet. “Prez.”

“Big E. Care to tell me what you said to the new girl out there?”

His forehead creases. “New girl? Oh. I told her thanks for the beer.”

Big E is one of the older members of the club and has never lied to me.

“That’s it?”

“Yup.” He sways, letting out a long belch. “We good?”

“Yeah. Go easy out there. I don’t want to have to haul your ass out of here.”

He grins and leaves.

Bash asks, “Think he’s telling the truth?”

“I do. Not sure why that upset her.”

Bash replies, “I can keep an eye on her, if you’d like?”

Something that feels a lot like jealousy courses through my veins.

Bash grins. “Or not.”

He leaves me sitting there, feeling like a big fucking tool.

I turn back to the monitors. Bash goes to the bar, snagging a seat near Olivia. Fucker looks right at the camera and smiles.

“Prick.”

But, I’m smiling, too.

INDIE

“Did you have a best friend when you were a kid, Adam?”

He didn’t look at me right away, just kept watching the football game. We had barbecued that afternoon. Hot dogs. I was still full from eating three.

But eventually his eyes found mine. “What do you mean? Like… McKay?”

“No. Did you have a girl like me when you were growing up here at Old Home? Or were you all alone?”

It came out sadder than I meant it to. Because I didn’t want to imagine Adam all alone. It made my heart hurt.

“I didn’t have a girl like you. Not until you came along. You’re one of a kind, Indie.”

I chuckled. Because I knew he was saying it to make me chuckle. But there was a stab of pain in my chest when he said that.

“I’m sorry, you know. For hitting you that day. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”

His eyes went sad then. And I wanted to take it back. But I didn’t take it back. I couldn’t take it back. I had been wanting to tell him that since he woke up on Nate’s living room floor covered in blood.

Finally, he sighed. “It’s just who you are, Indie.”

His reply hurt me more than it soothed me. Because… was that girl who hit him in the head with a candlestick who I was?

I gave him a brain injury. He almost died. And sure, by this time I had killed my share of people on different jobs. I had hurt more than that too. But I never wanted to hurt Adam. If McKay had not insisted on taking him to the emergency room, he would’ve died, or at the very least gone unconscious and never woken up again. His brain was swelling up and cutting off his oxygen flow. And even though he recovered, and by this time he was mostly back to normal physically, he had to have therapy for months afterward. And learn to say a few words all over again because his mouth didn’t quite work right.

I did that to him. And I was very, very sorry.

But the truth was… I didn’t actually remember doing it. I didn’t know how that candlestick got in my hand. I didn’t know how it struck Adam on the side of the head. I didn’t remember any of it. And that scared me. Really bad. And I wanted to tell this to Adam but I didn’t want him to worry about me or think I was losing it. Because I had heard Donovan talking to McKay and Adam over the years. He was always worried that one day I would ‘lose it’ and that’s why he’d been coming to talk to me since I was a little girl. So I didn’t lose it. So I could hold everything together in a tight, tight ball and never go insane.

But I didn’t know how to say that. I should’ve started with this train of thought instead of ‘I’m sorry’. Because now it felt like the conversation was over.

So I got up from my swing, walked over to Adam, and sat in his lap. And I hugged him. And then I was just… more sad than afraid. Because I had hugged McKay millions of times by this point in my life. And Donovan, a couple dozen, at least.

But I had never, ever, not once, hugged Adam. Or thanked him for saving me from that snake. Or giving me this home. Or making sure I was taken care of by McKay. For saving my life in the early days of those jobs. Or anything else that he’d done for me since I first became his more than seven years ago.

It took him almost a full minute to relax and put his arms around me, and hug me back. But when he did, something changed between us.

We both felt it.

And then his head turned and he kissed me on the cheek and pulled my face into his neck and whispered so softly, I could barely hear his words, “I love you, Indie. No matter what you do, I’m on your side, kid. Always and forever.”

I stayed in his lap. Enjoying this new closeness between us. But then he slapped my leg and said, “Get up. I gotta go inside. Got some work to do before I go to sleep.”

And I got up, and sat back down on my swing, and watched him walk away.

About KING’S CROWN

I lost my job and got kicked out by my roommate, who happens to be my ex-husband, on the same day.

If I nail one interview, I can get my life back on track. I even get to fly on a private jet with my prospective boss’s dad Gentry King, a widowed oil company CEO. We’ll make one stop and once Mr. King’s business is done, we’ll continue on to Denver where I’ll hopefully land a high paying job that’ll keep me from moving back in with my parents. I’m not even thirty, I can’t go backwards in life.

Mr. King is unbelievably attractive and intimidating, but it’s a short flight and I never have to see him again after it’s done. Only we don’t make it to Denver. A snow storm strands us in Wyoming where the only hotel room available has one bed. Unlike me, Mr. King remains undaunted and continues to work remotely at the desk in the room, otherwise ignoring my existence. Until the power goes out and there’s nothing for us to do but get to know each other.

Between our age difference, his adult kids, and his former mother-in-law who’s still in control of the company, what happens in Wyoming might have to stay in Wyoming.

King’s Crown is a standalone novel in the Oil Kings series written by an award-winning author.

Marie Johnston is a RITA® Finalist, and a best-selling and award-winning writer of paranormal and contemporary romance – and an avid reader of them both.

Several years ago, when kids started outnumbering adults in the house, Marie Johnston left her job as a public health microbiologist to stay at home. Settling into working part-time and shuttling kids around gave Marie the opportunity to think about what she wanted to be when she grew up. A die-hard science geek, she explored her previously thought to be non-existent creative side after much time spent making snowman crafts and coloring princesses. Having entertained thoughts of writing a book one day then subsequently deciding it would be too hard, she finally put the figurative pen to paper and began to type – and fell in love with story telling.

The Sigma Menace is the first series by Marie with Fever Claim being her first book EVER.  She is humbled by the fact that people are willing to read to her books and looks forward to keeping readers entertained for many years.

Marie lives with her husband and four kids in the Upper Midwest where the summers are gorgeous, the winters are brutal, and spring and fall are luxuries.

Julie has always loved stories, both reading and writing them, ever since she was old enough to hold a book in her hands. One of her favorite childhood activities was smuggling books under the covers to read by flashlight after she was supposed to be asleep.

A career as a children’s librarian eventually led to her dream career as a freelance storyteller and puppeteer, a business she operated successfully for twenty-five years. During that time she created and wrote all the original material for a monthly language arts newsletter full of poems, songs, puppet and flannel-board stories, fingerplays, and other resource material for early childhood educators. For that endeavor she won the prestigious EDPRESS Award for the best educational newsletter of 1982. She has also written other resource materials for preschool and early elementary teachers.

After moving more than two dozen times in her life, Julie lives in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Now widowed and retired, she once again has time to devote to her two favorite things—reading and writing—especially her new love, erotic romances.
