“You have chlamydia.”

Three words no man wants to hear.

I’ve always been liberal with my appreciation of the female form, a firm believer in the ‘try before you buy’ principle, but living life to the fullest obviously didn’t end well for me considering the unexpected—and very unwelcome—consequence of my free and easy past.

After living through the horrendous experience that was informing my recent sexual partners of my acquired ‘condition,’ I made a vow to myself – and a bet with my best friend—that the next woman I sleep with will be the ‘one.’

What I will learn is that even when something happens and the games come to an end, there’s always the chance of something—or someone—crashing in and changing everything.
So this is my story. It may start with a venereal disease, but I promise you, I’m determined to get my happy ending.

“Mommy?” Rose asks, standing next to Kate and tugging on her top.
Kate takes a sip of wine before looking down at her daughter with a smile on her face. “Yeah, princess?”
“What’s an ortasm?”
Wine shoots out of Kate’s mouth, as she chokes. The rest of us either gasp, snort, or in Mac’s case, cackle with laughter.
Noah and Zoe’s Nate, never one to miss out on being the center of attention, decides to wade in with his five-year old wisdom. “I have a penith,” he says, before pulling down his pants to prove the fact.
“Oh God, I can’t breathe,” Abi wheezes, bent over in her chair and laughing like a loon.
“Daddy says that he’ll cut off any boy’s penis that touches me,” Megan, Sean and Sam’s gorgeous nine-year old daughter, informs the group.
“He’d be right, pumpkin,” Sam replies, pursing her lips and not looking at all surprised by her daughter’s announcement.
“I’m so glad Riley can’t hear us. You don’t want to know the things she comes out with,” Mac adds just as Riley appears beside her. “Shit,” she mutters.
“Daddy told me I’m not allowed to talk about penises. But if you can then I can too.”
“Riley, this is adult conversation.”
“But you said adults have toys, like when I found a huge plastic penis in that red box at the back of your closet and you told me it was a paperweight.”
Mac’s face goes red, and her lips twitch. “Ah . . . yeah.”
“You told me it was a paperweight.”
“That’s because it was, honey.”
“That’s good, because I put it on Daddy’s desk in his office this morning. You shouldn’t hide things like that.”
The rest of the group struggles to stifle their laughter but somehow Mac powers through it. “I told you about going into my closet, missy.”
Riley shrugs, her hand darting out to grab a handful of potato crisps from the bowl in the middle of the table. “I was looking for the chicken.”
We all go silent, waiting for the penny to drop.
Mac’s head jerks back. “What?”
“Oh no. I’m not sure I want to know where this is going . . .” Abi says quietly beside us
“I heard you say you wanted Daddy’s cock.” Riley turns to her mother and narrows her eyes, her hands moving to her hips as she takes a hilarious—and very indignant—pose. “And I couldn’t find a chicken in your room so I looked in the closet. You shouldn’t hide Daddy’s cock. It’s mean for Daddy to keep a chicken inside.”
“Ah . . .” Mac wide eyes move to Kate.
“Riley,” Kate says, her voice full of humor. “I think you should go ask your Daddy about his chicken. Make sure you do it so that all of the uncles can hear too. I bet they’ll love to hear about the chicken.”
“I think I will,” she states with a firm nod before turning on her heels and leaving the room in search of her father.
Mac can do nothing but shake her head. “I swear to God that child is not mine.”

Cover Reveal ~ All I Ask ~ by ~ Elizabeth York

Title: All I Ask
Author: Elizabeth York
Genre: Contemporary/Romantic Suspense
Release Date: May 23, 2017
Photographer: MHPhotography
Designer: MGBookcover & Design

My name is Devan Anderson and I am a photographer and the by product of a cheating father and a childhood evaporated by illness. I’m stubborn, protective, but I care more than I let on. What does a girl like me do when I taste life for the first time?

I’ll give you a hint. It isn’t what you think.

My name is Ian Jensen and I am a Pediatric Oncologist that works day and night with kids that prove to be braver than I. I am open to Nerf gun fights, having fun, and taking control. What’s a doctor who lives life by the book do when given a new chapter to live in?

Ask me again tomorrow?

What happens when a photographer set to live in the dark meets the doctor that lives in the light? What happens when our world collide?

“Put your hands up,” a little voice yelled. Ian and I put our hands up. I turned my head to see a little boy wearing a mask and a cape holding a Nerf bow. I smiled as Ian reached into his coat and snagged a little Nerf gun.

“Who are you?” I asked to distract the kid avenger from Ian’s movements.
“I am-,” his voice froze as I saw a woman stepped out of a room with her arms crossed. She cleared her throat as I looked at Ian and he winked.
In one swift, move Ian turned with his Nerf gun and shot a toy bullet as he moved in front of me. The boy fired and his bullet hit the wall as he pulled back the arm on the bow and was ready to fire again. Ian pulled the trigger on the little boy and fired again intentionally hitting the wall as the masked child fired again.
Ian groaned as he took a toy arrow in the leg, and fell to the floor. I immediately wanted to play along so I grabbed his gun and fired at the boy who was faster than the foam bullet I launched.
I went to step forward over Ian when I got really dizzy and lost my balance. I fell back and hit the floor with a thud.
“Doctor Ian, is she okay?” a little voice asked as a bright light was intensely in my eyes.
“What’s your name?” Ian asked as he looked me over.
“You know my name.”
“What day is it?” Ian asked as I had to follow his finger.

“Ass hole day?” I asked and snickered when Ian scoffed because there were virgin ears around.

Cover Reveal ~ Existential ~ by ~ Max Henry

Title: Existential
Series: Fallen Aces MC #4
Author: Max Henry
Genre: MC Romance Suspense
Release Date: April 18, 2017
How much suffering can a man withstand before he finally breaks? A question I used to ask myself often. Now I know the answer.

As president of the Fallen Aces MC Fort Worth chapter, I’m looked to for guidance in times of crisis. I’m expected to set personal grievances aside and lead by example. Yet how can I do that when those grievances robbed me of my family, my life? My reason to be at the head of the table?

My father: murdered. My baby sister: killed the same day. And my other sister? A mystery. I’m drowning in my desolation and yet nobody seems to care. Or maybe it’s the fact I won’t let them close enough to help? Either way, my losses are my own, and I’ll deal with them the only way I know how—by punishing myself.

I’ve got it all figured out, at least, I thought I did. Until one woman, a traveller passing by, unravels the master plan. I see it in her eyes, the same distance, the same feeling that she doesn’t belong—that her time here is wasted.

One woman who mirrors me in every way, and suddenly I find a reason to hold off the reaper a little longer. A reason to stay at the head of the table. A reason to show those who’ve hurt me that, although they brought the beast to its knees, I won’t lay down to die without a fight.

Existential is book number four in the Fallen Aces MC series, but can be read as a standalone.

He reaches out and threads his fingers under mine, bringing our joined hands between us on the floor. “Do you think it’s weak if a man admits his fears?”

I frown, squeezing his hand tight. “No.” Why would he even think that? “I think it’s honorable. It takes so much bravery to admit you have faults.”

“You think?”

“I know.” After all, aren’t I the authority on keeping faults a secret?

He sniffs, staring at the toes of his boots where they rest against the base of the washer. “Since everything went to shit last year, I get … I guess the only way to describe it is angry at myself.”

“What for? Do you blame yourself for what happened?”

His head drops back again, and he closes his eyes as his thumb traces a path on the back of my hand. “Yeah, but I know I shouldn’t. Still, knowin’ what I’m thinkin’ is wrong doesn’t make it go away. I still blame myself for everything, still hate myself for it.”

“That’s natural, though. You went through something traumatic, from what you’ve said of it, so you’ve got strong reactions that need a place to rest.”

“I went on a bender after they died,” he explains, opening his eyes to stare at the ceiling. “Drank, binged on coke, picked fights with my friends, and it wasn’t until I couldn’t remember what it was like to be straight that I finally realized why I did it.”

“Distraction?”

“To die.”

A lump lodges in my throat as I take him in. At face value he’s strength and dominance. He’s a huge guy, intimidating to those who don’t know him, with his black clothing, leather, and piercings. He puts out an image of power, over others, and himself. But underneath it all he hides this.

“Don’t,” I utter. “Don’t say that again.”

“Why?” He rolls his head to look me in the eye. “It’s the truth, Dagne. I don’t want to do this anymore. Every day is hard. I wake up wishin’ it was time to go to sleep again, dreadin’ the day before it’s even happened.” His face moves through frustration and anger, glimpses of pain and despair between. “You have any idea what it’s like to just want to curl up in a ball and pretend the world doesn’t exist?”

“Yeah, I do,” I say. “I also know what it’s like to want to die. To know you’re too gutless to do it yourself, so you wish for something that’ll do it for you, like an illness, an accident, or a masochistic fucking father who hates the fact you breathe the same air as him.” Hooch’s eyes go wide, and I realize in that moment tears streak my cheeks. But fuck it—he needs to hear it. “I also know what it’s like to be hurt so bad that you finally believe that day has come, and in that second your foolishness and selfish thoughts come back to haunt you. What it’s like to realize when you’re faced with your own mortality that you don’t want to die … you just wish you were someone else, living another life.”

“Dagne—”

“Ah.” I lift my finger to stop him. “Nope. I’m not finished, mister.”

A small smile plays at the corner of his lips, and he reaches out to wipe my tears. “Carry on.”

“What you have to face is that you have the power to be somebody else. Fuck what your head tells you, Hooch. Your mind is a goddamn liar. It feeds off your fear, shows you your flaws while hiding your strengths. If you’re not happy,” I say, jabbing him in the chest, “change it. Do something about it. But don’t quit.”

“I’ve tried.” He captures my hand, focusing on the flesh of my palm as he traces the lines with his finger. “I really have, but my battery’s run dry, girl.”

“No,” I say, shaking my head. “It hasn’t. You just haven’t found what charges it yet.”

Cover Reveal ~ Misfit ~ by ~ Alyne Roberts

Title: Misfit
Author: Alyne Roberts
Genre: New Adult/Romantic Suspense
Release Date: April 24, 2017
Misfit. Outcast. September Evans was used to being an outsider after being bounced around foster homes. No one seemed to resent her more than her new foster brother, Keaton Grayson. He hated the new girl intruding on his life.

Until he didn’t. Fights became foreplay and anger became lust. The line between their love/hate relationship started to blur until it disappeared completely and ended in heartbreak.

Getting close to Keaton was September’s biggest mistake. One that comes back to haunt her four years later, when the stakes are higher than ever. The two are going to have to work together on something dangerous and wrong but done for the right reasons. The chemistry and attraction are still there, buried under resentment and blame.

Keaton still wants September gone, or maybe he just wants her. September can’t forget her past with Keaton, but she can’t let him ruin her future either.

Erasing that line between love and hate again could destroy them both.
Copyright Alyne Roberts. Unedited. Subject to Change.
I stare up at the warehouse and then back down at my phone. Gray’s Auto. I have the address right but the place looks vacant. There’s a closed sign in the window and a few cars in the parking lot. I knock on the big metal door, but no one answers. By the time the sun sets, I am out of patience.
“Sure, come on over Nine. Not a problem at all,” I mutter to myself as I pick one of the three locks. They are heavy duty locks, not easy to pick but after a few more cuss words and promises to kill Rhys, I get in.
“Make yourself at home, Nine,” I say to myself as I walk up the stairs and step into a large loft.
The huge living space is lined with windows that over look the river that runs along the side of the building. A couch and a flat screen TV sit in the center of the room. I spot the kitchen in the back and head for it. I need a shot but a beer will have to do. I pop the top and hop up on the counter to wait.
I’m on my second beer when I hear a car pull up. Footsteps echo up the hall before the lights flick on and I’m met with a grinning Rhys. It’s rare to get a smile from him so I don’t waste a beat before I jump down and into his waiting arms. His hug is like home as I’m wrapped up with one of the few people in this world I can trust.
When I look over his shoulder, my eyes lock on dark eyes I know too well. That familiar anger and hate are there, glaring back at me. I’m hit in the gut with every memory I have been trying to block out since I left home 4 years ago.
“September.”
My name rolls off his tongue with ease, like it always had. It was always September. He was the only other person that called me that other than my mom. Not Ember like I asked him to call me hundreds of times. Not Nine or Sept.
His voice is deeper with more grit. He looks different than the teenager I left standing on that porch 4 years ago. His chest is wider, filled out with muscles underneath a tight t-shirt. Tattoos peak out from under his sleeves, covering his hands and climbing out from his collar up his neck. There’s a light stubble on his face that I’ve never seen before. If I thought I couldn’t resist him when I was 17 and stupid, I don’t stand a chance at 22 and even more stupid.
Keaton Grayson is a man now. Hot and angry and everything I have been trying to forget since I left.
“Keaton,” I whisper as I pull out of Rhys’s hold.
“You two know each other?” he asks, looking between Keaton and I in suspicion.
Neither one of us speaks for a minute. How do you answer that question? Is there one word that sums up our relationship? He was my first love or I broke his heart doesn’t seem like enough.
“He was my foster brother,” I finally answer, knowing if I didn’t offer something Keaton would answer. I didn’t want to hear his explanation. It would be hurtful.
“She was more of a house guest actually.”
There it is. Those words hurt more than I’d like to admit. Always the outsider. I was never really part of his family, no matter how badly I wanted it.
“Is that right?” Rhys asks, looking to Keaton then back at me.
Keaton laughs but it’s hard and laced with venom. I lift my chin and straighten my spine, ready for the verbal attack I know is coming.
“No. Absolutly not. I can’t work with her. I don’t trust her.”
Ouch.
“It’s her job, Keaton.”
“Then I’m out.”
No. No. No. This can’t be falling apart before I even start. Rhys promised a second man and I counted on that.
“We need you. We need 3 people and you’re the only person I trust,” Rhys argues. I wait silently because anything I say would only make matters worse.
Keaton glares at me. More than the animosity, I see hurt underneath the repulsion and hate. It’s not much different than the way he looked at me before I walked out of his life for what should have been forever.
“You owe me,” Rhys says and I know Keaton is in. Keaton may not trust me but he is loyal to a fault to those that earn it.
Stormy dark eyes land on me. His gaze moves over my body, slowly, like he’s actually seeing me for the first time since he found me in his apartment. He takes in my long, red hair and red lipstick. In a plaid skit and loose shirt that hang off one shoulder, I stand barefoot, my knee-high boots on his floor. I feel naked and exposed even though he’s seen it all before.
Keaton moves, fast and without hesitation, pushing me to the wall behind me. I swallow hard from the impact and the heat rolling off his chest. Memories of another time I was pinned under the wall by Keaton floods my mind unwanted. I feel my face turn pink.
“Listen to me, September,” he whispers. I resist the urger to shiver at the way my name comes out a growl. “Don’t screw us over. Don’t steal from us, lie, or get your ass in trouble.”
I gasp at the words he said to me the first time we met. I realize, with heartbreaking clarity that Keaton hates me more than when he first met me all those years ago. No matter how close we eventually became or everything we went through, I erased all that good. He pushes off me and toward the door they came in.
“Show her to the guest room. I’m going out.”
The door slams behind him and I stare at it, still pressed to the wall. Every cell in body is telling me to run. Leave Willow Creek and don’t look back. I’ve done it before and can do it again. But then I think of my mother in that facility and I remember why I am here.

Who knew my brother’s friend could be Mr.
Right, and not just Mr. Right Now?

My brother refused to introduce me, so I blame him. If he’d just
caved, and introduced me to Jasper, I wouldn’t be in this mess. I mean, really,
what’s the big deal? I’m not interested in the guy’s looks.
Oh no, I want his cold hard cash. (Be honest, you were expecting
that other four letter ‘c’ word weren’t you?)
Now, before you go getting all judgy, I’m not a gold digger. I
have a legitimate business opportunity for Jasper to invest in. The problem is
that my stick-up-his-ass brother is embarrassed that his twin sister invents
kick ass sex toys. His problem, not mine.
So, I took matters into my own hands. Defeat isn’t a word in
Lennon Hart’s dictionary.
Using my stealthy P.I. moves, I narrowed my search to a time and
place where I knew I could find him. It was completely innocent. A chance
meeting that would give me the opportunity to pitch my business.
It wasn’t until I sat down across from the gorgeous panty soaking
man in front of me, that I realized I wanted so much more than just his money.
I could very well want his heart if I wasn’t careful.
Apparently my P.I. skills aren’t as stellar as I thought because
Jasper had his own secret—and it changed EVERYTHING.

Love is timeless…

Nash Nation loves zeroes and ones, over-sized monitors and late office hours. He’s too busy taking over the world to make time for relationships—that is, until his new neighbor Willow O’Bryant barges into his life, and now Nash can’t shake the feeling that this isn’t the first time she’s interrupted his world.

Then, the dreams start. And in the dreams—memories.

Memories of a girl named Sookie who couldn’t count on love or friendship, never mind forever. Memories of a library and a boy called Isaac and secrets made in private that destroyed his world.

The memories seem real, but who do they belong to?

When Nash and Willow discover the truth, life as they know it unravels.

The bridge between this life and the next is shored up by blood and bone and memory. Sometimes, that bridge leads to the place we’ve always wanted to be.

It was the dream. The waking dream again.
There was something tied up in that dream—a memory, the life I knew but had never lived. That was the only explanation.
The dream crawled inside my skull like a centipede. It stayed there, burrowed itself so deep inside my brain that imagination got squashed. Nothing was fantasy anymore. What had been figments of my imagination had grown to something real, something I couldn’t beat away. Something I couldn’t ignore.
It stayed with me during the investors’ meeting, as Duncan talked about projections and media outreach. He spoke and I watched his face, focused like I understood the meaning behind the noise, the unrecognizable words his mouth made. I knew he was expecting me to weigh in with some technical spin, but it was all I could do to keep from completely drifting away.
Lucky for me, he liked the sound of his own voice. Even Duncan and his slick CEO arrogance didn’t distract me from the dream. The sound of his pitch, that salesman shine he thought might impress the investors didn’t do a damn thing to erase what I’d felt. What I’d seen. What I remembered.
The dream stayed even as his nagging turned into a whining drone that made my teeth ache.
“What the fuck was that? You just tuned out. You weren’t engaged at all.”
No. I hadn’t been. Still wasn’t as I fed him some bullshit about a migraine.
“I’ll catch you later, man. I gotta jet.”
He didn’t buy my excuse. Duncan’s eyes narrowed and I swear I felt his stare hot on my neck as I moved out of his office and stood waiting at the elevator. Wasn’t much I could hide from him through that glass wall so I kept my head down, wondering how I’d gotten messed up with that asshole in the first place.
Ah. Right. I had a program and no cash. Duncan had deep pockets and was looking for someone’s coattails to ride. One plus one is always two.
Didn’t much care if he bought the migraine excuse. I felt something right at the base of my skull. A pressure, a dull ache, but I wasn’t sick. I was high.
My brain went into autopilot as I left Manhattan, grabbing the A train to get me to downtown Brooklyn. And the whole way home, with the rocking of the train, the funky smell of the city getting fainter with every stop, and the even worse body odor of all the compressed bodies, the ache in my head grew the closer we came to my stop, that weird memory nagging at me.
That shit wouldn’t let me be.
Over and over in my head, as I huddled tight behind my jacket in the still chilly weather, the memory came clear as a raindrop.
Me and her. Me and the woman I didn’t know. Me as a man I’d never been.
The smell of roses. The thick hint of dust and coffee.
The feel of worn book bindings and the scrap of metal chairs on wood floors.
The taste of honey on my tongue.
The woman wrapped around me, holding tight, like I was her lifeline. Her red hair between my fingers, her nails pulling at my collar. Feeling needed. Feeling free.
A gust of wind blew off my hood, had my eyes watering as I jogged the rest of the way toward my building, barely acknowledging the people grouped around the front entrance. But then the sound of kids screeching cut into my brain, and I finally noticed that Old Man Walker was handing out Jolly Ranchers from the top step; for his grandkids and the others bouncing around, he couldn’t get the wrapped candy out of his pockets fast enough.
In that small chaos, compounded by an arguing couple from 3C coming out of the elevator, brushing past the cluster of kids in their red and green puffy coats and their sniffling noses, heels clicking on the tile floor and crackling over the candy wrappers littering the hall, I forgot about the dream. If only for a second.
Until I saw Willow at the mailboxes.
She didn’t look much like the woman in my dream. Her hair was not red, but light brown. The redhead’s had been thick and bone straight. Willow’s was wild, all over the place, as though she could never get it under control.
The woman in my dream had been thin with barely a hint of curve to her shape. Elegant, graceful like a ballerina. Willow was all dips and bends, luscious, her legs strong with well-defined muscle, and a wide, wondrous ass.
Suddenly the rest of the world receded and there was nothing but the movement of Willow’s hair as she dug the mail from her box, the rhythm of her limbs as she swatted at that thick mass of hair, the swoop of her jacket hem against all those round, perfect curves as she turned, her attention on the envelopes in her hand.
The smell of her skin, the jasmine in her hair, seemed to billow around me as I stood motionless in the lobby. She was everywhere, familiar and yet unknown. A stranger/not stranger I had held at arm’s length, but still far more real than my dream, than the memory it was trying to evoke.
Willow stopped short as she noticed me, pausing with the mail held against her chest, a frown appearing on her face. I knew that expression from the last time I saw her, when I lied and told her I didn’t want her, when I had spoken promises that even then I knew I’d never keep.
“Nash.” There was a bite in her voice, the clip of my name, as if she was trying to sound disdainful, yet her voice still held an undertone of something that, if it had a flavor, would have tasted like honey.
And then the dream, that sweet, stinging memory crashed over me. Déjà vu and fantasy and shit I did not understand hit me like a fever, and I was lost. The redhead kissed my neck. The hint of her soft, liquid tongue against my skin, tugging on my ear, wanting me with a fierceness no one ever had before, overwhelmed me, and I had to close my eyes to keep from being dragged under.
“Nash?” Willow’s voice reeled me back in, and I opened my eyes to see her sweet, concerned expression and the curve of her mouth, the fullness of her bottom lip.
Then Willow… she took the back of her hair in one hand, twisting it into a knot—the smallest gesture that I’d seen her do a dozen times—and suddenly I realized: the woman in my dream had done the same thing. The same motion, the same movement. Just like Willow.
A sharp intake of breath—that was me. Willow had backed up a half step, her face confused, conflicted, and despite what I’d said before, I reached out and slid my fingers tentatively to touch her face, guiding her chin up so I could look into her eyes.
“Nash…”
She made the smallest noise, something that sounded like moan and laugh at the same time. It transformed, deepened to a growl when I kissed her. Yet even as my mouth found hers, as my tongue slid along her lip, begging an invitation, one thought consumed me, something I didn’t believe was left over from my dream. One thought that made me brave, made me hungry: this woman belongs to me.

Beckett Montgomery is a well-known detective in the New York area. He takes his job seriously and has little time for anything else.

During an investigation in to a series of break-ins of an apartment building on 32nd St., he finds himself getting a little too involved. What had always in the past been his job, now felt as if it was so much more.

He can’t seem to let go of the image of the beautiful, scared blonder face. He found that protecting her became all he could think of. Whatever it took, not matter the cost, he would provide her the security she needed.

He assured himself he would remain professional, he would dedicate himself fully to the task at hand and never would he mix business with pleasure.

Yet with each passing second Beckett spent in the presence of Shanelle Kramer, he found that the need for her only grew. Her beauty alone made him weak in the knees and that was only the beginning.

He had never desired a woman more.

Never felt the need to conquer, or claim, but she was different.

Maybe just one taste would end his addiction for Shanelle?

But one taste was just a tease….
And he needed more, so much more.
A little about me. Let’s see where to start.

I love HEA stories, as long as they come packing a little heat. I need some excitement, some angst, and moments that make me fan my face are always good too. I am an Illinois girl, born and raised. Simple and true, it honestly doesn’t take much to make me happy. I love the little things; they truly mean the most. I may have a slight addiction to my new Keurig—oh my, that thing is a godsend. And so fast too. I have two children who truly are my very best friends, and their faces never fail to put a smile on my face. I have been married to my husband for sixteen years, and even though at times I want to beat him with a stick, I would never change the years we have had. We have learned and fallen, only to pick each other up, dust off the ache, and help each other make it right.

I am one of those authors that adore my fans. I love to hear from you. After all, it is because of each one of you that I continue to write. I look forward to your feedback.

Be sure to follow me to stay up-to-date on all my upcoming releases.
