“Would you like some water? I have a few bottles in my mini fridge.”

He shoved his hands in his pocket and rocked back on his heels, letting out a soft laugh. “If I come in there, we both know it’s not going to be for water.”

“Like I said.” Heart pounding, palms sweating, she lifted her chin. “Want to come in?”

This was such a good story! It was sad for each character but it also helped them to know the pain each other is going through and brought them closer together.

Daisy is drinking her pain away in the hotel bar when Mark sees her and is interested. Daisy isn’t interested and immediately shuts him down. But point for Mark, he wanted to make Daisy smile because he knew she wasn’t in a good mood.

This book was a quick read for me but it’s not a novella. It’s just that good of a story that you want to keep reading! Daisy and Mark have both had enormous pain in their lives and are scared to care but something about the other makes caring an absolute!

Cash is protective of Emma from the first second he sees her. He knows about what she’s dealing with and wants to protect her from it all. Including himself and his love-em-and-leave-em ways. He’s no good for Emma and so regardless of how green his eyes get when she talks to another man, he’s not going to do anything about it.

This was a great, sweet story that empowered Emma. I love when a woman can overcome such a horrible struggle and be successful! I need more of this series!!!

“Actually, son…” Jethro’s mother began to hedge, biting her lip as she turned to look up into her son’s face. “She has found just what she’s been missing.”

Steve is just swoony!! ❤️ How he tries to keep himself so sheltered and looking out for his Butterfly is just so sweet! Shannon and Steve have both been into each other since a family wedding and they’re trying their hardest not to fall for each other.
