The strong and sexy Blake Bennett is downright irresistible. And Clara Abernathy is doing everything she can to resist his charm.
After spending her life in group homes, Clara yearns for the love and warmth of a true family. With the Bennetts treating her like their own, she can’t possibly fall for Blake. That would be crossing a line…
But when Clara needs a temporary place to live, and she accepts Blake’s offer to move next door to him, things escalate. Suddenly, she’s not only supposed to resist the man who’s hell-bent on having her, but the TV station she works for is determined to dig up some dirt on the Bennett family.
Blake knows family friends are off-limits, and Clara is more off-limits than anyone. But Clara’s sweetness and sass fill a hole in him he wasn’t even aware of. Soon, he finds himself gravitating toward her, willing to do anything to make her happy.
Blake enjoys bending the rules—much more than following them, but will bending this one be taking it too far?

I love the Bennett family! With every book, I love them more. Each of them have their quirks but they have each other’s back 100%, and that makes them amazing!
Clara, unofficial adopted Bennett sibling, has moved in next door to Blake Bennett. She’s never thought of him in a romantic way but now she can’t stop herself.
Blake was being a good guy and offering an apartment to Clara, who has been part of the Bennett Clan since she arrived as Nick’s assistant. But suddenly, he finds himself attracted to this family friend and wants to explore more.
Can’t wait for more of the Bennetts!

“You got plans tonight?” I was done chasing this chick. It was time to get straight to the point.“Um…”“You say that a lot, babe.”“What?” she asked, confused.“You say um a lot.”“Oh, I guess I never noticed.” She stood there staring at me.“Plans? You got any tonight?”“Um.” She realized she said um again and blushed red, as her eyes darted down. “No plans.”“You ever been to Shake the Lake?”“Once, when I was seventeen. I didn’t get to see the fireworks, though.”I reached out to grab my keys but grabbed her hand instead. “Come with me tonight,” I pleaded, our eyes locking. She tried to jerk her hand out of my grasp, but I tightened my grip. “I can’t,” she insisted.“Sure you can. You just told me you don’t have plans.”“Um, I forgot that I have to go to…um…badminton practice,” she stuttered.“Badminton practice?”I didn’t think she could blush anymore, but her cheeks turned a dark shade of red, and she nodded yes. “I felt that I needed to broaden my horizons and figured that would be a good place to start.”“Well, how about you broaden your horizon with me tonight, and you can pick back up with your badminton practice next week?”

“I’m glad it did. You did an excellent job today, Emily,” he raved. “You should be proud of yourself. The passion in your eyes while you shared your thoughts about the manuscript was evident to everyone sitting in the room. I found it absolutely intoxicating to see such desire.” He added his killer smile to his words of praise.
“That’s how I feel about books. I’m passionate about reading, and the fact I can actually be a part of the process from author to bookshelf is incredible. I’m so excited for the opportunity to work with Susan.” Luckily, my nerves had calmed to the point where my hands remained steady while I gently clapped them together in enthusiasm.
“And I’m happy to have you on board.”
I beamed with pride to hear him say such nice things about me.
And with that, the two of us stared at the metal doors in front of us, neither one of us speaking. It was an uncomfortably silence, the air suffocating. Shit, I had forgotten to speak to maintenance about the air situation in the elevators. My bad. Now I had no oxygen to inhale whatsoever, my lungs dying to take their next breath. It could be that the intense chemistry between us had depleted what little air we had left to breathe. It’s too bad the elevator didn’t have emergency oxygen masks like airplanes did. One might’ve been helpful about now.
I tried to think of something good to say, my body too afraid to move. And just when it came up with something, I turned to say it and found myself flush against the wall in the elevator with Derek’s tongue down my throat, my mouth openly giving him access while the rest of me screamed to push him away.
Holy shit!
What we were doing was so wrong, but at the moment I didn’t care, because Derek Dorian wanted me, yes, me. Besides, it was the hottest kiss I had ever experienced, his lips softer than I had imagined. The way his tongue took charge, a bit more domineering than any mine had ever played with. Mind you, I could count on one hand how many there had been. But my tongue loved every second of it.
His body caged mine, our movements desperate, frantic, as if we were long-lost lovers who had finally been reunited. We couldn’t press our bodies closer to one another if we tried, and yet, my mind and body ached for more, needing a deeper connection to him. The throbbing between my thighs became more intense as our kiss progressed, especially when he ground his hardness against me. Fuck my vibrator, I could tell Derek would satisfy me so much better. Screw that, beyond words better.
Shit. I couldn’t allow myself to have an orgasm from a kiss and simple rubbing. If I was being totally honest, suggestive, heat-induced, and mind-blowing better described our actions.
I melted into his touch. I’m talking pure goo, jelly in a jar. I held on to his arms, my legs too weak to keep me upright.

There may be two sides to every story, but sometimes there’s only one way to set things right…
Music is Elijah’s life. His band plays loud and hard, and he’ll do anything to get them a big break. He needs that success to help take care of his sister, who has special needs. So he’d rather be practicing when his friends drag him to a musical in the next town…until the lead starts to sing.
Kristen dreams of a career on stage like her grandmother’s. She knows she needs an edge to get into a competitive theater program–and being the star in her high school musical isn’t going to cut it. The applause and the attention only encourage her to work harder.
Elijah can’t take his eyes off of Kristen’s performance, and snaps a photo of her in costume that he posts online with a comment that everybody misunderstands. It goes viral. Suddenly, Elijah and Kristen are in a new spotlight as the online backlash spins out of control. And the consequences are bigger than they both could have ever imagined because these threats don’t stay online…they follow them into real life.

Elijah took my hands. “Okay, look. Maybe you’re right. Maybe these people are taking this whole battle thing way too seriously. If you’re scared, then we’ll stop. No more posts except for appearance information.”
“So no more battle of the sexes, no more make Kris scream?”
He held up his hand. “Swear to God.”
“Okay.” I sighed in relief. “You’d really do that?”
He leaned closer and repeated the vow. “I promise, Kris.”
And just like that, I forgot why I was mad at him. I couldn’t talk, couldn’t breathe, couldn’t even blink because I was afraid he’d let go. This was the part of him I adored. I clung to him for a long moment, and when his gaze drifted to my mouth, I wondered if—hoped—prayed—he’d finally kiss me.
And then, Etta’s voice suddenly spoke inside my head. “Well, my God, darling, it’s the twenty-first century. What on earth are you waiting for? You can kiss him.”
I could. Yes. Yes, I could just lift my head and lean in and kiss Elijah Hamilton like it was a normal, ordinary occurrence.
Right. Like kissing Elijah Hamilton would ever be ordinary?
I’d watched him kiss that girl at the mall and was sure I’d memorized all the steps in his routine. He’d move in, grip my face between his hands, run his thumb along my jaw, and finally, glide his arm down around my body, pulling me against his own, all the while, peeking through his lashes to see if I enjoyed it.
I wasn’t sure when I decided—even what made me decide. I just touched my lips to his and waited.
It took a second or two. But then there was a sudden, tiny squeak from him, and I felt the pulse in his wrist leap under my fingertips.
And then, his hands were in my hair, angling my head just the way he liked it, his tongue brushing against mine, so soft it might have been my imagination…except imaginary kisses were never so intense. He kissed me like I was a song he wrote, lips wrapped around every word until it hummed with hidden meaning and promise, and his hands held me the way they held his guitar—like the music would stop if he let me go.

Native New Yorker Patty Blount is the award-winning author of several critically acclaimed internet issues novels for teens as well as a few adult contemporary romances. She is inspired to write by such greats as Judy Blume, JK Rowling, and Gayle Forman. In fact, Judy Blume is the reason Patty elected to write under her real name…so she’d appear on shelves next to her idol. Patty adores writing; she’s written everything from technical manuals to song lyrics (see THE WAY IT HURTS, coming August 2017). Patty wants you to know she loves chocolate…really, really loves chocolate.
When not crushing on actors Gilles Marini or Sam Heughan, Patty can be found sitting in traffic somewhere on the Long Island Expressway, listening to audio books or talking wildly to herself about plots and characters. Prone to falling madly in love with fictional characters, Patty suffers frequent broken hearts when they all invariably prefer the heroine to her… go figure. When she’s not writing, Patty loves to watch bad sci-fi movies and live tweet the hilarity, and scour Pinterest for ideas on awesome bookcases. Patty lives on Long Island with her family in a house that, sadly, lacks bookcases.

Would you bleed for the one you love?
To save his family empire from the grip of the drug cartel, Shane is pushed to the edge of darkness, forced to make choices he might never make. His father is dying. His brother is desperate to rule the empire and this means war and all gloves are off. His brother only thought he knew what dirty meant. Shane is about to give it new meaning. There is another war brewing though, and that one, is inside him, his battle between right and wrong, light and dark, and in the heat of the night, it is Emily he turns to for escape. Driving her to new limits, pushing her to accept a part of him that even he cannot.
In every one of Shane’s seductive demands, Emily can taste and feel, his torment, his struggle to save his family and not lose himself. But he is losing himself, and that is a problem just as dangerous as her secret, that still lurk in the shadows, a threat to the Brandon Family waiting to erupt. No matter where she and Shane have traveled, or will travel in the future, she can’t just sit back and watch him become everything he hates, everything he never wanted to become, everything she tried to save him from when she tried to run. It could be their undoing, the end. His end.
This is war, blood will spill, and someone in the heart of the Brandon family will not survive….
“What is in your head right now?”
His eyes heat, darken. “You. Always.” He inches back and looks at me. “You’re mine. Mine to protect.” His voice is low, fierce, and he grips my panties and yanks them away. “Mine to fuck.”
I gasp and grab his shoulders. “Shane.”
His answer is to wrap his arm around my waist, pull me close, his cheek against mine, his fingers pressing into the V of my body. “Wet, just the way I like you,” he says, pressing two fingers inside me. “Wet for me. And too fucking perfect for my sanity sometimes.”
“That doesn’t sound like a compliment,” I pant out, grabbing the lapel to his suit as a sweet ache begins to build in my sex as his thumb strokes my clit.
“And no one else,” he murmurs, nipping my earlobe, “will ever touch you like this.” His fingers caress deeper inside me. “No one,” he adds, “will ever make you say their name like I want you to say mine right now. Say it.”
“Shane,” I whisper, and not because he wants me to, but rather because it’s there on my lips, the way I wish his tongue was on my lips now. “Shane, I—”
Seeming to know what I need, he cups my head and kisses me, long, slow, sensual strokes of his tongue that somehow make every touch of his fingers more intense.
“Come for me,” he murmurs, and this time when he kisses me, I start climbing that wall to release, and I’m there at the top in an instant. I stiffen while his fingers and tongue tease, please, and then I jerk, I’m over it, tumbling in an instant into shudders and shakes. Shane’s lips lift from mine as he breathes with me. His fingers slow as he eases me through the waves until I collapse against his chest.
He tangles his fingers in my hair and drags my mouth back to his. “And no one but me will ever make you come like that again,” he declares, the waves of his emotions beating down any embarrassment I might feel over having had an orgasm on his father’s desk.
“No one has ever made me feel what you make me feel, Shane.”

My phone rang and I thought it’d be Bryce, but it wasn’t. “What can I do for you, Chief?”
Colton Myers was the chief of police back in Wyoming. His call wasn’t unusual, because they often called me and my brothers when there were cases the local PD couldn’t solve. “I need your help,” he replied, his voice shaking.
The cab driver pulled up to the airport entrance and I passed him a wad of bills before getting out. “What’s going on? I’m about to get on a flight to head home.”
“Good. I’ll drop these files off with Reed, so you can see them when you get back.”
The din of the bustling city made it hard to hear him, but I could tell he was distraught. “Files for what?”
He sighed heavily. “You know how there’ve been missing hikers in Montana?”
“Yeah, I saw something about it before I left for New York.” It wasn’t uncommon for tourists to sway from the hiking trails or test their limits by doing stupid shit. Most of those people found themselves dead. I liked to climb the cliffs, but I was good at it.
“We’re missing people here too,” Colton confessed.
“It happens every year. Why does this case shock you?” I’d been gone for three weeks, so I hadn’t even paid attention to what was going on in Wyoming.
He huffed angrily. “About three weeks ago, eight men supposedly went missing in our mountains. Just this morning, I couldn’t get a hold of Grace. Her boss also called me and said she never showed up at their meeting last night. Her car is still at the hotel. It’s like she disappeared.”
“You’ve got to be shitting me,” I growled low.
Grace was his daughter and a good friend of mine. Hell, I’d wanted to be more than that for quite some time. I only held back from pursuing her out of respect for her father. She was one of the most beautiful women I’d ever known.
“Please, Ian. I have to find her.”
Hurrying through the doors, impatience flooded through my veins. “We’ll find her, if it’s the last thing I do . . . I swear.”

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.
She loves to write, but she also loves to play tennis, go on mountain hikes and white water rafting, and has a passion for singing. Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols.
Dover has written countless novels, including her Forever Fae series, the Second Chances series, the Gloves Off series, the Armed & Dangerous series, the Royal Shifters series, and her standalone novel Love, Lies, and Deception. Her favorite genre to read and write is romantic suspense, but if she got to choose a setting in which to live, it would be with her faeries in the Land of the Fae.

This is no simple Hollywood story of famous boy meets ordinary girl, who then fall in love and live happily ever after.
The dance floor was crowded, and everyone was singing along. I was so caught up in the music I didn’t notice Jackson.
“Your moves . . .” He began to sing in my ear.
The hairs on the back of my neck prickled.
He pressed his chest against my back and wrapped one arm around my stomach, bringing me closer.
Then we started swaying to his rhythm.
The firm touches of his hands and the closeness of our bodies were electric. I wanted to turn around to face him, but he held me firm, continuing to sing in my ear. When he spun me around, our chests slammed into one another. “You’re a great dancer,” he shouted, moving behind me.
“I love this song.”
“I could tell. The way your body was moving . . . it called to me.”
“You were admiring my dancing?” I laughed.
“Very much,” he said through my hair. “Though, I preferred the view.” He twirled me around, our faces inches apart.
“Be careful. We’re not alone,” I teased.
He leaned in and pressed his lips against my ear. “We can be.”
