Amazon Review Tour ~ The Perfect One ~ by ~ Cory Cyr

Title: The Perfect 1
Author: Cory Cyr
Genre: Urban Erotic Romance
Release Date: March 31, 2017
Jensyn Parrish was one of the world’s most gorgeous supermodels, dubbed the “Perfect 10” for most of her career. Thirteen years ago, a horrific car accident left her face disfigured. Suffering the loss of her beauty, career, and self-worth, she seeks a life of quiet seclusion in Hawaii.

Lincoln Bass, a New York best-selling author and adrenaline junkie, has no idea what he could possibly have in common with his brother’s friend Jensyn. After suddenly being impaired with blindness at only twenty-five, his life is forever altered. Independent, headstrong, and ever the daredevil, Lincoln is stricken with the certainty that if he wants to continue writing, he needs help.

Two people damaged by circumstances of fate…

Disguising who she once was becomes a difficult task for Jensyn. Her only job is to help Lincoln finish his book. But boundaries are somehow obscured and fiction becomes their reality.

This genre is RIGHT up my alley! For some inexplicable reason, I like when the Hero or Heroine has some sort of disability and they have a physical therapist, assistant, helper that they fall for. This book was recommended to me because it fit the bill and this review tour came up at the same time this was recommended. It was fate!
Jensyn is a former model who after an attack has a scar on her face that is MUCH bigger in her mind than in actuality. So much so that she’s closeted herself away so people can’t see her and what she feels is her “ugly scar”. Sadly, this is mostly in Jensyn’s head. Jensyn’s therapist asks her for a favor, for her to check on his brother who suffered an accident and is blind.
Lincoln is a former daredevil who was blinded during an accident. Lincoln is only 25 but has basically shut himself off. Sound familiar? Jensyn recognizes traits and thoughts in Lincoln that she has had herself and is doing her best to help him (and herself) heal from their “disabilities”.
This will definitely be a re-read for me. It was a great story and like I said, it was in a genre I love!
5 stars!

review
I did NOT know this was a cliffhanger when I read it.  I got to the end and was almost in tears – some might have welled up – because I wasn’t ready for it to end!  So I NEED book 3 NOW!!
London and Loïc (I still love his name) are happily in their new relationship, doing what couples do and having a great time.  Preparing for Loïc to deploy shortly but trying not to think of the impending departure.
Loïc is so happy with London and it’s obvious that he’s glad he took the chance on getting involved with her even knowing that he’d be deploying.  Their relationship is just so truly sweet and makes you a bit envious of it.  Oh, just me? Moving on….
As I said, a HUGE cliffhanger I was NOT expecting but I do understand the natural breaking point.  I won’t give you spoilers because I hate those people but just be prepared to feel all the feels!  And possibly a tear or two.  Ok that’s ALL I’m saying!
When do I get book 3???  I NEED book 3!!!!
5 stars!

LAYNE

The silky smooth feel of his tongue gliding across mine sends shivers down my spine. His intrinsic taste is every bit as intoxicating as that bottle of strawberry wine, except he’s much more addictive. When his calloused fingers glide across my cheek, a need greater than I’ve ever known consumes me and makes me want to beg for him to touch me everywhere.
I am safe and secure under the weight of his body, and his lips and tongue move with expert precision and determination. Even when I try to rush him and greedily take more, he won’t allow it. He keeps complete control, drawing out the pleasure, leaving me wanting—no, needing—more. My next breath is dependent upon his kiss, his touch, his taste. What I was intent would never happen again is happening right before me, but I can’t willfully stop this any more than I can willfully stop my heart from beating.
He shifts his weight and settles his hips between my legs. The sudden friction against my clit causes an intense moan to escape from my throat. His responding growl only amplifies the fire that is about to combust between us. His hips flex and his erection slides across me. My fingers curl into his shirt, my nails scrape across his skin, and my neck arches in response. Ace’s lips move down to my exposed neck as he kisses, licks, and nips at the erogenous area.
“You taste good everywhere,” he murmurs. “Your lips, your tongue, your neck. I can’t help but wonder what you taste like in other places.”
His hands find their way under my shirt, and he slowly pushes it up as he slides down. His fingers are sprawled out across my abdomen, heating my core from his mere touch. When the stubble from his faded beard scrapes across my stomach, my hands instinctively jerk to his head and my fingers glide through his light brown hair. He pulls my skin through his teeth, sucking it into his mouth, and then laving the area with his warm tongue.
“Mmm, the more I taste you, the better it gets,” he hums against my skin.
He lifts his eyes to look at me. Looking for permission? He has it, whatever he wants to do to me. Town gossip be damned. I don’t care what they think of me, how easy they think I am, or how jealous they are that he’s here with me. Not one of them has walked in my shoes, has felt what I’ve felt, or has been hurt in the way that I’ve been hurt—because none of them is me.
“Ace,” I beg with one word. A one-syllable, one-word plea.

review
I haven’t read A.D. Justice before but after reading Intent, I am SO glad I did!!  This book was fantastic!  The characters were real and easy to relate to, and I was just sucked in from page 1 – which means work was put off for the day.
Layne is in a staid relationship with her boyfriend Bobby of 7 years.  Until she catches him cheating with her best friend.  Thankfully, she dumps his cheating self right then – and not a moment too soon – but I won’t say why…
Layne is persuaded aka forced to go on a sabbatical to her boss’ cabin in Georgia to just get herself back together.  While in Georgia, she meets some great people including Ace and his adorable daughter River.  Who quickly convince Layne that she was meerly settling by being with Bobby.
Amazing story!  I can’t wait to read more of A.D. Justice’s books!  And I guarantee I will be!
5 stars!
