About the Author:

Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast.

Kat’s a typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max). When she’s not writing, she’s either scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) – traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible. She hopes to retire there one day so she can spend her days writing books on the beach.

Kat has been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. Since then she’s been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles.

As you can guess from her series, the Las Vegas Sidewinders, Kat loves hockey. She is also a freelance hockey writer, covering her favorite team, the Florida Panthers, and any other teams that have an interesting story. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There’s something enticing about hockey players and romance…

Release Boost ~ Beautiful Beast ~ by ~ Aubrey Irons

Title: Beautiful Beast
Author: Aubrey Irons
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 17, 2017
Blurb
Anastasia:Here’s the first thing you should know: this is not a fairytale.
Happily-ever-afters are fables, and Prince Charming is a sweet little lie.

I know all this because he taught me.

Once upon a lifetime ago, the rich, arrogant, sinfully gorgeous, and tragically
broken dark prince of the Hamptons was my tormentor. My darkness, my shameful
attraction, my all-consuming, forbidden temptation.

I hate Sebastian Crown because nine years ago, for one night, I was stupid
enough to think I loved him. And I’ve been paying for it ever since.

Except now, he needs me to help him save his empire.

…And he’s not taking no for answer.

Bastian:

She’s my nemesis. My addiction. My weakness.

My obsession.

I used to tell myself I hated Anastasia Bell – for being poor, for not
worshipping the ground I walked on, for looking at me like she pitied me for
being me.

When the rest of my world always told me yes, she was the ever-provoking no.

She thinks I’m a monster – a tragic, fucked-up, broken beast.

She doesn’t know the half of it.

Because she can’t begin to know the crimes of my past, or imagine the things
I’ve done to her behind the scenes since she left this place.

Years ago, I thought breaking her would fix me.

I was wrong.

Now I’ve got her in my sights again, and this time, I won’t be letting her go.
Even if it means we both go down in flames…

“May I help you?” he asks, his smile tight like it’s forced.
Struggling to find my voice, I finally respond. “Aiden Sheffield?” “Guilty. Are you here to adopt?”
“No.” The pit bull whines at that. Without taking his eyes off me, Aiden pulls out a
plastic bag from his pocket and throws him a treat. Unable to keep staring at
him, my gaze shifts down. I get a good look at Aiden’s pal. The dog’s tail
wags, but only one of his ears perks. The other ear is completely missing, and
the poor boy’s jaw is misshapen. Aiden draws my attention back to him.
“You’re making my pack nervous.”
That’s exactly what they look like…a pack. A family where he is the alpha. All the
dogs have now come toward the fence, sitting in a straight line. They seem calm
but curious as they flip their heads between us. “They don’t look nervous.”
“They are. They can smell your fear. They won’t hurt you.”
“I know.”
“Then what are you afraid of?”
You.
He smirks, moving forward so we are only inches from each other, separated by the
chain-link fence. His gaze lingers on me, far too long for comfort. He smells
masculine, of soap and sweat and something distinctively him. “Who are you,
mystery girl? Too old to be selling cookies, too young to be from the Gazette,
and too innocent to be spouting religion.”
“I’m Emma Cooper. Angela’s daughter.” It’s a flicker in his features, but I catch the
scowl before it disappears. The dogs start surrounding Aiden and stare at me
with suspicion. It’s as if they are protecting him…from me.
“What do you want?” His tone is curt, almost demanding. I shift from foot to foot.
“Can we talk?” The dogs stand at attention now.
“Go to the house and wait for me.” He snaps the words like a command.
“Um…”
“Now.”

Excerpt
I was in a bastard of a mood when the doorbell rang after I’d dropped the two
hundred-pound weight onto the rest. My chest burning, my ribs wracked with
agony, I curled up to my feet. Thought about a shirt. Thought, fuck it. It was probably just Brooks.
He’d become my watchdog, checking in regularly, inviting me to his place for dinner with him and Delaney, keeping the door open in case I needed to talk to someone
other than my sponsor.
Striding through the house, I absentmindedly swiped at the sweat on my chest with the towel I held.
I opened the door.
Wished I hadn’t.
My cock went fully hard in an instant.
I draped the towel in front of me, one hand notched on the doorframe, my chest bare,
Reggie’s chin barely reaching my shoulders.
Reggie. On my doorstep. Showing up out of the clear blue.
My lips flattened as my heartbeat thudded in my chest.
Everything that had broken open in that alley with Brooklyn I’d sealed back under.
Until this precise moment when Reggie lifted a bag in her hand and a smile on her
lips when I was pretty sure I’d never looked more threatening.
“I’ve got
some time off. Recuperation.” She angled a leg in tight faded jeans toward me.
“Sore tendon. Figured you’d know how to put me back together right as rain with
your PT background.”
“Funny.”

Hooking the end of the towel into the waistband of my shorts, I rasped my hands
across the dark shade of stubble on my jaw, and she watched every goddamn
stroke. “You don’t look injured.”
“You do.” Her gaze—challenging—dropped to the bruise on my ribs.
Motherfucker.
“You came to check up on me.”
“So what if I did?” She shrugged one shoulder.
“You don’t have to worry about me anymore.”
“I can’t just turn it off, Calder.”
“I don’t need or want your help.” I tried to maintain the barrier, nearly snarling at
her.
She merely cast her eyes beyond me. “Are you going to invite me inside like an old friend should?”
Old friend. Old pain.
I stepped back. Barely.
She ducked under my arm. Smiling.
Closing the door, I sealed my body against it. “What are you really doing here?”
“Well, you said you’d accept my calls.” She dropped her bags. Stood with hands on hips. “You lied to me.”
“It’s what I do, sweetheart.” Determined to piss her off so she’d leave because danger lurked in the dark spaces of my mind. I’d
forgotten she reacted like a lioness when cornered.
Rookie mistake.
In two steps, Reggie was up against me, in my face.
Protect and dominate. The two different impulses swarmed through me.
I wanted to serve her up on a silver platter and plant my face between her thighs.
Then tuck her against me in my bed, blankets all around, my arms a cradle.
Her eyes hooked mine with nothing but unwavering intensity. “You have driven everyone away, Calder.” Her stance blended her against me, and she had to feel the heat—the need and arousal—she spiked in my body.
“I will not fucking let you go down one more time.” Bleak, no longer dreamy eyes, rose to mine. “I’m not losing you to self-pity or self-loathing or any other kind of hate you keep wrapping around yourself.”
Looked like I’d met my match.
I’d known it all along.
Impossible.
“One man is enough to lose.” Her voice dropped, but her finger pointed at my chest before she spread her fingers over my careening heart. “And you have a choice in the matter.”
At her unerring words, I went stock-still.

“You have no idea what I do, do you?” I asked her point blank. No point beating around the bush for much longer. And I was curious how she’d react. Most people would stutter and immediately deny their lack of knowledge.
I wasn’t surprised when Libby’s reaction was different.

Everything about her was different.
She laughed, the sound a little nervous and a little sheepish. “I don’t, I’m sorry,” she confessed. “I don’t like to come so unprepared, but I’m afraid no one was very forthcoming with details about the job. Just that someone needed a ghostwriter.”
“Only you didn’t know who that someone was,” I leaned back, watching her.
I couldn’t help it. There was something about her that captivated me. And I was the kind of man that paid attention when my gut told me to. I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I had if I hadn’t developed a pretty damn good set of instincts. And my instincts were saying that Libby Hanson deserved a closer look.
Two red spots had appeared on her cheeks. “I’m afraid to say I didn’t know who you were when I walked in. And I still don’t.”
Even my name hadn’t sparked any recognition. Either Libby had been living under a rock for the past few years or she just didn’t travel in the kind of circles that discussed the latest tech inventions. Or the latest millionaire gossip mill. It was incredibly refreshing. Everyone else I had interviewed for the ghostwriter job had nearly fallen over themselves, quoting other articles or pieces that had been written about me, trying to impress me.

And that was if they were men. If they were women, they tended to start batting
their eyelashes and making unsubtle attempts to display various body parts.

Even though it had been happening for years – ever since my name and photo were
on the cover of Forbes – I still couldn’t get used to women throwing themselves
at me with such aggression. I’d always been lucky with the ladies, but the fame
and the money made it out of control. I didn’t like fawning, I just found it
annoying. And I really didn’t want to work with someone who was going to try to
flatter and butter me up, even if it was for the sake of the book. A book which
I had been loathed to do in the first place. I hated talking about myself. I
wanted to talk about the work, about what I wanted to accomplish, not which
supermodel I was rumored to be dating or all the money I was making. My
personal life was just that – personal. And I intended to keep that side of me
out of the press and out of this book.
Which is why I found Libby’s lack of information appealing, and I saw the opportunity to avoid the usual pitfalls I often found when being interviewed. She didn’t know me, didn’t know my reputation. She would be able to approach this book without any preconceived notions. Without any agenda. It could actually be about the work, and not about me. For the first time the book didn’t seem like the worst idea ever.
“You’re hired,” I told her.

Excerpt
I’m hit by
a storm of desire to kiss him better. It’s a tornado, an avalanche in my body,
and in one breathless moment, I decide to go for it. It’s okay. I can take the
blame for it later.
I break the
rules and reach up and kiss him. A feathery peck on his plump lips, it’s a kiss
of solidarity, a kiss that intends to tell him I understand—but one isn’t
enough. It only manages to ratchet up my lust. So I give him another, this time
on the corner of his mouth, and then another one on his jaw.
It’s not enough, these small, barely-there
touches. I want more, but I won’t take it. I’ll be good; I’ll only give.
Abruptly,
he fists my curls and stops me. I look at him fearfully, ready to apologize—not
for the kiss, but for being the kisser. His gaze reflects passion, stark,
raving need, and I shiver, despite wearing layers and sweating with his heat.
“Are you
trying to kiss me, Layla?” he rasps, flexing his fingers on my makeshift
ponytail.
He couldn’t
tell? Blush rises to the surface and I know I’m glowing like a neon sign.
Swallowing, I nod. “Yes.”
He inches
closer to me, still not touching—as impossible as that is—but infinitely
closer. “You want to kiss me, Miss Robinson, you do it right.”
Oh God,
does he have to call me that? Now, here? My spine arches on its own and my
heavy tits graze the contours of his shuddering chest.
“H-How?” I
ask innocently, belying the daring action of my body. His stern, professor-y
voice is doing things to me, making me wild, uncontrolled.
For a
second, he’s silent, just watching. I’m afraid he’ll back out from whatever
this is, whatever insanity we’re about to commit—but then I sense the shift in
the liquor-laced air as he opens his mouth and growls, “Like this.”

the man of your dreams. Follow my rules, you’ll meet the love of your life and
have a gorgeous destination wedding in French Polynesia. Okay, that last one
happened just the one time. But my rules work every time. I
guarantee it.

1. The man makes the first move. Seems unfair? Life’s unfair.

2. Never have sex on the first date. No, not even oral. And hands above the

Whether I like it or not (spoiler alert: I like it!), Jack is taking me on wild

this spontaneous playboy the real thing, or just a fun detour around my

sleep alone, with nothing but my second slice of princess cake to keep me
company.

But the more time I spend with Jack, the more I learn that
rules…they’re meant to be broken.
In love there’s only one rule: there are no rules.

Chapter One

Tate

Evie’s arm wraps possessively through mine while we sit on the leather covered chairs and wait our turn. She’s always touching me, holding hands, a brush along my knee, or her arm against my forearm. I love it. Love that she unintentionally lets every person we meet know I belong to her as much as she owns me. But as much as I want our love etched for all eternity, I don’t want to rush her. “Evie, we don’t have to do this unless you want to. We can wait. If you’re having second thoughts—”

“No!” Her death grip on my bicep tightens.

“Babe. You’re gonna leave bruises.” I release a chuckle.

She follows my gaze to where her nails dig into my skin, and she loosens her hold. “Sorry. I guess I’m more nervous than I thought. But I’m not having second thoughts. I want this. To share this with you. And I love the thought of something so permanent. It’s better than my ring.” Her eyes snap up to meet mine and widen. “Not that I don’t love my ring!”

A smile pulls wide at my lips, and I tilt her face with my fingers so our gazes lock. “I know, Evie. I’m just making sure. You know I want this just as badly.” I dip my chin to whisper in her ear. “This ink is going to look so fucking sexy on your skin. I’m so turned on just thinking about it. As soon as we’re done, I’m taking you back home.”

She meets my lips in a soft, fleeting kiss. “I like the way you think, Mr. Reynolds.”

“I can’t wait to call you Mrs. Reynolds.”

She gives me her sweet smile. “Twenty-two days to go.”

“Not soon enough. Let’s elope,” I deadpan and she laughs, shaking her head.

“No way! Not after all the planning and deposits. Beside the fact our families would disown us, Kate and Jon would too if they weren’t part of our special day.”

“I know. I know.” And I want to celebrate with our loved ones. I only wish I’d had the foresight to set the date earlier. With each day that passes, my lips battle with my mind to resist the urge to call Evie my wife.

“Evie and Tate.” The shop manager calls out our names in a booming voice, drawing our attention to the wall behind the short registration counter and photographs of artwork behind it. “Dev is ready for you.”

I stand and lace my fingers with Evie’s, then lead her back to Dev’s station passing the charts of bangers and sample script. I’ve had lots of ink done over the years by several different artists, but Dev is this mountain of a man who’s really nothing but a big softy. I trust his work and have a feeling his charismatic demeanor will put Evie at ease since this is her first tattoo.

Dev stands from his chair. “Nice to see you, bro.” He’s got to be at least six foot five and fills the doorway with his frame. Evie is absolutely tiny next to him. “And I see the missus is getting work done, too.” He smiles at Evie and I can feel her body relax as she greets Dev.

We discuss what we want done, and she goes first. My eyes are captivated by each step, and the second the needle hits her skin I have to concentrate on keeping my dick in check. Fuck. That’s sexier than I ever imagined. Thank God Dev is a pro. We’ll be out of here soon and I can make love to my Evie.

Her tatt takes only a few minutes, the script of my name small and feminine. Mine requires more work—the piece is larger—and Dev fills it in with shading so the word Evelyn stands out amongst my other ink. Evie stands at my side, transfixed. Instead of watching Dev paint her name onto my forearm, my eyes are mesmerized by how she’s engrossed in the process. Her lips and brows pull with interest as Dev works.

Every second that ticks by fills me with more affection for her. From the way she glances at me to smile, to how she rubs tiny circles over the tension in my neck with her thumb. She’s playful, kind, and generous.

“I got off easy. Yours is so much bigger.” She nods at my latest tattoo after we leave Dev’s station.

“So much innuendo there, I don’t know where to go first.”

She shakes her head, a grin at her lips, and stops walking to push up on her toes and whisper in my ear, “Hmm . . . I say we should go home, yeah?”

Yeah. Yeah, we should.

When I don’t answer immediately she just laughs and struts to the front counter where Dev’s waiting for us to pay and review final care instructions. Like everything about Evie, her allure may not be flashy or overtly sexy, but I know exactly how beautiful the curves are that hide beneath her worn jeans and plain white tee. I shake my head, asking myself for the bazillionth time how I got so damn lucky. And how quickly I can get her home.

By the time I hand Dev his cash and we’re headed out to the car, I’m fighting a serious hard on. “Come here,” I say, pulling Evie into my arms and backing her up until she pushes into my car door. “Do you know how sexy you are?”

She giggles, kissing me long enough that her tongue sweeps against mine before tilting her chin up. “I’m guessing a lot.” She leans into me and I know she can feel my erection pressing into her belly through my jeans.

“So, so much.” My grin matches hers. “I love my name on your skin.”

“Take me home.”

“Yes, ma’am.” I kiss her once more and then walk around the car to open her door.

It’s only a fifteen-minute drive back to our house, but I make it in twelve. Between the heated glances Evie and I trade and the music she pipes through my stereo, it’s a miracle my foot doesn’t push straight through the floorboard.

As I slow to swing under the carport and park alongside her vehicle, I inhale slowly to calm my already rock hard dick. “Hey, babe?” I say, shutting the engine. Her hand’s already on the door.

“Yeah?”

“You have exactly one minute.”

Her brows pinch with confusion.

“One minute to get inside, take off your clothes, and make it to the bed.”

Her eyes widen and her breath comes faster with the hint of her smile. “Or else what?”

“If you don’t make it to the bedroom, I’ll probably make love to you wherever I find you. The kitchen. The living room. Hallway. Hell, much longer and I’ll fuck you right here.”

“Oh, car sex. That sounds exciting.” Her eyes sparkle, but she releases a little laugh. “Let’s do that on our honeymoon, when it’s a little darker outside. Preferably in the middle of nowhere.”

“Deal.” We’ve planned a road trip all along the West Coast, exploring from San Diego all the way up to Oregon. And like everything with Evie, a few promised words and she just made me love her more. “But for now…”

She glances down at the bulge in my jeans and bites her lip. “Sexy hide and seek. You’re it. Count.” She grins and with that she’s out of the car, unlocks the front door, and is inside the house before I can move a muscle.

Taking the full minute to calm my raging boner so I don’t come within seconds once I finally get inside her, I follow her out and arm the car alarm. Stepping inside the house, my lips pull wide at the music playing from the living room record player. One of Evie’s favorite albums, the artist crooning about love and happy ever afters—it’s a song we’ve made love to on more than one occasion. I kick off my shoes, discard my shirt, and unbutton my jeans while I step forward to find her.

I don’t have far to go.

Fuck.

“Found me,” she says with a flirty pout, and she releases the clasp to her bra.

“Fuck.” This time I say it aloud because before me is the most beautiful woman to walk into my world, and she’s mine. All mine. Just as the name scrolled down her side pronounces. “You’re gorgeous. You know that, right?”

“That’s what you tell me.”

Her eyes stay trained on my hands as I push my pants and underwear down to my knees in one sweep, then shove them off the rest of the way and take three steps forward. I wrap my hands around her slim waist. “Caught you,” I whisper.

She nods and slides her arms around my neck as our lips meet in a rush.

As much as I want to enjoy this, savor the moment, I know I won’t last long, not when I’ve been imagining making love to her all afternoon. So instead I go with what I’ve got, and use my fingers to find her wet folds between her legs. Massaging around and over her clit while my lips battle with hers, I do everything I can to bring her there. She reaches for me with one hand, and her strokes up and down my cock only spur on my determination to make her come first. Between hurried kisses and anticipation, she’s right where I need her.

Backing her down the hallway, our lips still locked, we almost reach the bedroom door when I turn and drop to my knees.

“Oh yes, Tate,” she says as I spread her pussy wide and dip my chin to lick between her folds. “Yes, yes, please.” She moans and I assault her center with my tongue. Adding two fingers, I stroke in and out, increasing their pace along with that of my tongue brushing over her clit. Her orgasm crashes with little warning, my name on her lips as she shouts with her release. I’d stay here for hours but I have to get to work soon.

Standing once her pleasure subsides, I claim her lips for another kiss and hook my hands around her thighs to carry her the rest of the way to the bedroom.

“I love you, Evie,” I say between kisses.

“I love you, Tate,” she answers back.

Careful not to brush along her sensitive new ink, I sit on the edge of the bed and lay back. “Ride me, baby,” I say and she does. Grabbing my cock in one hand, she lines me up and sinks down on a groan. I love the way we fit together. Rocking those hips back and forth, over and over, it doesn’t take long before she’s close again, her walls tightening around my cock as it slides in and out.

My thumb finds her clit and I rub quick tiny circles while my other hand grabs her hip and encourages her not to stop. I’m so fucking close, but I’ll hold out as long as I can.

“That’s it. Yes. Right there,” she says, a softly spoken demand I don’t dare deny. My thumb moves faster, and the moment her body pulses with release I give in to my own orgasm. We stay connected. Together. I scoot back on the bed, delighting in the feel of her smooth skin against mine when she lays her cheek against my chest.

This. Right here. My reason for being. She’s the only home I’ll ever need.

New York Times and USA Today Best Seller L. Wilder presents a new romance series where the broken find their redemption.
Every man has his weakness. She was mine.
Nitro-
The job was simple- get the girl and bring her home, but with one look, she became my obsession. The blonde, blue-eyed beauty with the sinful curves wasn’t mine to keep, but I wasn’t about to let her go. I was determined to have her, no matter the consequences.
She was the only one who could calm the beast that raged inside of me. So, I risked everything and did what had to be done – for her.
Tristen-
Nathan James was every girl’s fantasy- rich, powerful, and hot beyond words. He saved me during my darkest hour. Like me, he was damaged, scarred by the memories of a horrible past. I saw the way he looked at me, like a predator about to take his prey, but as much as I craved his touch, I wanted something more. I wanted his heart.
I’m afraid I’ve just exchanged one hell for another.
Will their love heal the wounds of their past, or will they both remain damaged goods?
While Damaged Goods is the first in a new series, the main characters were introduced in the Satan’s Fury MC series. This is a full-length standalone novel filled with romance, suspense, and a lot of heart. I’m a firm believer that bad boys need love, too. Damaged Goods is intended for mature audiences only due to the explicit language and violence.
