You need to read books 1 & 2 to understand Layla and Nico’s relationship. And really it’s worth it to go back and read them before starting this. It made me really love Nico even more.
I don’t want to tell too much since the books are interconnected and build upon the last. Just know that Nico and Layla’s relationship is rough, sweet, enduring and complicated. She was the good girl and he was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. I love a good girl/bad boy book just as much as the next person.
Do yourself a favor, read all 3 books! It might take a bit but it is SOOOOO worth it!!!
